I'm fairly meh over the new ruleset. If the This is Not a Test rules came out on paper sooner I'd have transferred over to those by now. As it is I'm playing 7Tv still, but I don't see myself transferring over the 2nd edition, at least for the moment. At my club I'm about the only guy who still runs games of 7Tv for the most part, with the other guys finding that Pulp Alley to be more suitable for such settings.

I'm glad to see the Otherworld book is finally getting a release. The rules will be v1 as they were written well before they started on the new version.

The v2 playtest is nearly done. I think they mentioned something about a public beta release of the files in about a month's time.

It is finally getting a release because Otherworld is FINALLY shipping out the rewards to all of their INDIEGOGO campaign's backers - and he was waiting for that to happen before releasing this.

I notice that they don't have the Scottish Claymore show listed on their upcoming shows list. Boo hiss! ...Though seriously as a Scottish company they're really underrepresented at Scottish shows, but I guess the English ones are larger. =/

Slowly going through the rules now, quite surprised that the SMG is now a blast 3" weapon. Even stranger, the shotgun isn't a blast weapon, but the sawn-off version is. Ho-hum.

well, these are Beta rules. Make it known to them if you find them weapons weird

Well, the shotgun it to me the odd one out, the SMG kinda-sorta makes sense as mooks usually spray with those things, not aim.

See are they trying to go for a realistic shotgun or a pulp shotgun? It seems like a realistic one, but that doesn't fit the theme of the game...

Every now and then I'd give the shotgun slugs rather than buckshot, so I guess that's what Crooked Dice have done.

Is it a British shotgun or an American shotgun?

I like that not-Furiosa better... She has possibility as a Shadowrun character. The Hasslefree one is good and all but this one looks like she's geared up for an assault and toting a gun with a smartlink. Although, now that I'm looking at the HF one too.. I kinda want them both Thanks for posting this.

Hm.. Janey looks alright.. I bought the regular paranormal set but not the other stuff. I might end up having to get her though. The old-school BSG guys are not my thing but I'm sure someone is giving them plenty of love.

Tsk, I didn't clock on that these were the archetypes from the book at all there. I'm too used to them just chucking out random models and saying that they could suit profile x or y. Huh, well anyway, aye those are quite nice, and its a plus to see more coming out of that particular sculptor.

The 3D pics of the top four were used for the cards of the 7TV2 beta. The other chaps are the Underworld Boss and the errr... Sinister Mystic I think it was?

The Mystic looks like he's rocking out pretty hard... Kind of want to give him a massive beard and maybe replace that sword with a mic.

He certainly looks a lot better than the current Guru mini, with his oversized hands.

Also, check out the details on his robe, that pattern alone!

The Cast boxes are really nice little starters though. I think my Minions may need a Blofeld-alike as well as some reinforcements.

How are the rules compared to other similar rule sets? Haven't seen anyone talking about it. Are there any other rule sets that would be suitable to use the Crooked Dice minis in?
