Hey guys, recently I started painting the skin of my orks with Catachan Green, Camo Green, Skull White and some scorpion green mixed with chaos black.

I would like to hear your opinion on this, I'll be posting a picture of it later.

Might be the picture, but I dont really see any different style on there. Orks usually come in various shades of green.

Using different colors than normal, usually one uses goblin green, dark angels green etc.

On that picture I've used catachan green and camo green.

O H I am in the Webway...

It's still green and it was still applied by a brush so I'm going to have to say...

I'll post a better picture later, with an orc painted with Dark Angels- and Goblin Green to compare.

Well, and not to be mean, but as said before it's a green ork.Even though you might have used different colours it is still a green ork, like most are, just a different shade. That being said it looks pretty ok.

Be fair people. I can actually see a difference. There's a more saturaised look than you're standard goblin green orks. Reminds me of the way GW used to paint their gorkamorka models. Looks good.

Yep, clear difference here, it's an olive/dusky green not the lurid rich green of the standard current ork colouration in GW publications.

i think it looks better this way, as the normal green is to "shiny" and "bright"

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

I prefer darker orks and quite like the scheme above.

I paint mine using a mix of some really old goblin green paint I had laying around and some chaos black, to make a nice dark olive green.

Then I just wash over the top with some ogryn flesh or one of the other washes (depending on how dark I want the recesses to be).

I like my orks dark

And you had me all excited there was a way of layering plasmified paint molecules onto mini's with forcefields. Instead there's Orks painted with different shades of green.

If you want a variety of ways of painting ork skin, check out this thread on the waaagh.
