Nitty Gritty Armor!
Another Challenge down! For all of the rules click here!

Some really fun entries showing a lot of different methods and techniques this time around. While fewer than past challenges as far as number of entries go, that's sort of a given with how intense a challenge this was. Fantastic work to those that entered!

Here is your chance to let your voice be heard Dakka! Which ones are your favorites?
Remember, you can choose more than one model to vote for! Vote for at LEAST one user, but feel free to throw votes around to any of the models.

Good luck to everyone in the poll and subsequent judging!

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Got to say that I am a fan of 6&7, though 5&9 held my attention for a while too.

Great work all around though. Just wish that I had managed to get a bit more done on my entry so that it was in a state where it could actually be entered

Maybe next time

I went with 5 and 8, leaning towards 8. Hope the winner follows up with a nice tuturial!

Gotta quit saying, "Oh, lots of people will enter this and I shouldn't bother" and DO something myself.

The Death Company Dreadnought is terrific in all respects. The converting, painting and overall character of the thing. Just great!

The Valkyrie gets me vote, it was close though between that and the Vanquisher.

The deciding factor was that the decals on the Vanquisher look too fresh and don't blend well enough with the rest of the weathering on the vehicle, otherwise solid efforts!

Gutted I couldn't get my own entry finished but such is life eh?

Good luck to all!

Seeing the other entries now, I really wish I had taken some better photographs. So much of the detail and weathering is concealed... oh well.

Some really great entries here guys - best of luck to all!

They all look fantastic, but I think that #5, the Valdor really captured the essence of 'nitty gritty'.

It got my vote along with a couple others.

Great work guys! Good luck!

Hmmm its hard to vote...

Voted for #8 , because the amount of weathering looks realistic and can easily tell its painted just for the sake of this competition, and not taken off from normal display .

2# is very very pretty, and the weathering is sweet, whilst understated.

Sad I couldnt get my predator done in time, but I dont think it would have stacked up with these guys anyway! Top work!

Actually ive had this problem on a couple of recent polls (including this one), the poll doesnt appear open to me?

In any case, I missed this deadline, but have now posted the one finished last night under my P&M Blog - any criticisms & comments would be generally appreciated!

grr... missed the deadline as well. For some reason I thought it was the 10th. Oh well, now I can focus on the exams I have coming up.

Too bad, I think people would have liked to see a Stronos pattern Razorback. Ah well, I'll have it posted in a week or so.

Voted for #2 and #5, #2 is probably my favourite though.

Honourable mention to #6, that is a lot of weathering and looks really well done.

Obviously, all the entries are great, but #2 and #5 clinched it for me.

Good luck to everyone who entered!

Dakka has chosen it's newest champion.

And the Champion is...

Elotsip and his Renegade Valdor!

A fantastic piece with a lot of great weathering and varied techniques.

To find out who painted what just check back in the original voting post as I've added the painters user name to each photo description.

A great showing all around with a lot of variety in both entries and techniques!

Thanks, as always, to everyone who participated and to everyone who voted and supports these Challenges. And a special thanks to AwesomePaintjob.com for sponsoring us this time around! Be sure you guys head over there and support them too!

Once again, congratulations to Elotsip on his win!
