I know this is dumb.
I have 2 Superheavies on order AND a Armorcast titan I've not put a lick of paint on.
But...
It looks so EASY...
The only question is how wide and how tall is the eagle from the shrine of the aquila?
Cause if I can't use that as my front then the whole deal is off.

this could work, you might have to work on the scale a bit more, I would think the length would be more like 18 to 22 inches, also a bit wider than a standard superheavy, but the bits you have chosen to use seem like the logical ones to go with. I would use the afore mentioned kits, plus a lot of plasticard, maybe I would consider hacking up a couple of cereal boxes and makeing a mock up of the thing first, a very rough one, to get the proper size and proportion, that would give you an idea of how to proceed with the actual project.

Ah ha! I knew there had to be a picture somewhere that showed how it worked with other bitz. Looks like it's 3 CoD/bastion walls tall. So I can do leviathan sides that are 2 high and 3 long (3xbastion sets) then a top box made of CoD walls for the turret. This can work... It can work... Automatically Appended Next Post: And I'll have bastion bases left over to make a Goliath Mega cannon out of PVC pipes...

Certainly looks workable; won't it need a bit if widening though? I feel that right now it would be rather slim.
What do you intend to use for the tracks?

I've seen that one before and I think it's splendid. It does rather prove my point though - just the temple front won't be wide enough.

THanks, that is truly an amazing model.
The width issue does not worry me too much, the Epic Leviathan was no wider than a superheavy. This will be 4" wide (eagle) plus an inch or two for the bastion bases and tracks.
I got bastion #1 today and will start mocking it up.

Hiya! New user here.
I'm working on the same idea. So far the bastion base is together, plus I'm using the Shrine idea and I think it'll work. For the treads I'm using 2 Baneblade kits, but with the armored sides the bastion base won't quite fit over it, but on top may work.
For the Doomsday cannon I was going to use the Stormlord gun; no PVC here!
I'll keep an eye on this thread to monitor your progress.

OK here's concept sketch 2
Basically I'll now use 3x Bastion kits and use the intact window walls from the Shrine to build the front tower.
Here's how the bastion looks so far.

Cool Beans. The only thing that doesnt look right is the door on the side. Either get rid of that or if Leviathans have transport, which the probably do, make it look more accesable and vehicle like. I wouldnt want to have to undo a huge breach door to dismount from a vehicle. edit what super heavy is that next to it?

edit
what super heavy is that next to it?
They do have transport (50 IIRC) usually a big hatch in the back. I put on the side door (it will get a ladder) because a tank this size with only one door is a bad idea and it looks tough enough to be an AV14 door.
The tank next to is my Storm Lord with guns from a Japanese kit instead of the wimpy little guns we get.

Grrr... I was told today that the Shrine front is SIX INCHES WIDE, not 4... This mucks up a lot of things particularly my use of the bastion bases. We'll see when it arrives, hopefully tomorrow. Automatically Appended Next Post: Well the walls are done, just waiting for the shrine.

You're crazy man. I'm happy if I can finish a warbuggy in a week and you're gonna finish a leviathan... Make sure to post pics! Do you intend to have it painted for the apoc battle, or just constructed? And how will you fix the width issue? Plasticard + COD bits seem like a good bet to me.

No! What is this a chaos vehicle?
It's Imperial!
It'll have a huge eagle!
On the width problem I'm waiting for the shrine to arrive in the mail, at this point I'm thinking I will probably keep it 4" wide and have the eagle overlap 1" on each side. The bottom bases are angled and the floors on the top level are exactly 4" wide. Widening te structure wtih plasticard will make the whole thing less stable, less coherent.
