Here is the start of my 1 foot tall orky tower which will have special rules for it when I play with my friends. (Like units fire 1.5 times farther or something like that) Its made out of bamboo skewers, wire and cardboard. The first thing i did was lash 3 skewers together with the wire to make poles that looked orky.

I used Bamboo Skewers and some wire.

After I lashed the poles together I ran some pvc glue on them to make sure noone poked themselves on the wire. Then I based it on a 6" by 6" peice of cardboard so I could work around it. Which all joined up at the top to a 2 inch peice (the base of the legs are 4" by 4")

It looks way to tall, may be you should cut it down a little about half or so, but that's just my thought

looks good so far

It is HUGE lol its about 12" tall and the other one I am going to build will only be about 6" but this one is going to be the center peice to a orky village that I am slowly working on (lack of materials) and thanks for the props

I don't even think a big shoota is going to hit it's target from way up there. I like the concept but kind of tall.

Unless he builds the actual firing pit 1/2 up the scewers. and uses the remaining top 1/2 for some orky symbols and such.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

You could always use the top half for a water/petrol tank tower (or fungal beer tower ).

I agree with the others who say that while it looks cool, it is way too tall for people to shoot down from unless you are going to absolutely pack the table around it with other high buildings so that people can shoot from their roofs/windows etc.

Alright, awesome idea... little to tall though, no unit would be able to move far enough to get to the top... second, shooting would be to much of a hastle, you wouldnt be able to reach anything unless your weapon had a 24" range... So here is an idea, I took your image and worked it the best way I could using paint... but here you go to give you an idea.

I like your revised plans with the deck half way up.

I'd suggest beefing up the lower sections. While bamboo of the 41 millenium may have impressive strength, orks aren't known for their subtlety.

Dont use cardboard for the base: it will warp!
Use MDF instead.

Beside that, nice work, the wiring give a very "real" feeling.

I like the idea of a part half way up so i am going to make one with a trap door in the middle for the ladder and the top part will be a "lookout" or a area for the 'UGE SHOOTAS (any long range team)

I like it.

I would make it a bit shorter and add both a top platform and a middle platform though.

House rules, people better get shot off that ladder like drunks falling down the moontower from that 80s movie (maybe I'll remember the name later, they played baseball and dude got spanked on a car).
