Preparing for a tournament in a couple of months and I decided I would field a converted unit.

The Borkan Arrows grew out of a training academy on the learning world which combined an ultra lightweight jetpack with Tau fire warriors who showed exceptional skill in close combat. Some Tau commanders, such as El’Quixo of Borkan, have controversially involved Kroot in the training of Fire cast in order to improve their performance as fast assault units. The Tau hope that by combining Kroot training and high technology they can develop a unit that is the equal of the Kroot at close quarters.

To augment the newly trained Arrows, the Machine designers of Borkan have been developing a ‘proximity engagement drone’ which will accompany the Arrows into battle. Unlike other drones these are completely autonomous but are fitted with fast response circuits, short range weaponry and electromagnetic generators carrying enough power to shock several opponents at once by discharge of electricity at close range. These drones augment the Arrows close combat skills further.








I will field the Arrows as Kroot and Proximity engagement drones as Kroot hounds.

Interesting models but wouldn't Vespid make more sense than Kroot for them?

They were indeed originally Vespid, but I hardly ever use Vespid especially at typical tourney 1K points values.

I love the models and the fluff is pretty cool!
