hi does anyone have some cool conversion ideas for Broadside Battle suits because the games workshop ones look so lame any ideas greatly appreciated

Put both railguns on one shoulder so itll be like
-lights!
-camera!
-action!
Zzap!!!

Try mounting the Railguns on the arms like the Forge World models. Or, if you're feeling confident, you could try modelling it like a sniper: I saw this guy who had made the Broadside crouching and looking down the "sights/scope" of his Railgun.

Cool i am loving the arm ideas also i am thinking of having him behind cover or something like that

Two minutes and I'll post pictures of my converted broadsides...

Here is mine, the shoulders are from a necron wraith and the neck is chopped.

Ok so theyre both a WIP, and obviously not painted, but the majority of glueing is done.

Firstly: Twin-wielded Railguns

There will be a nicely placed chain from his longer arm to the railgun to make it look more badass :3

Then theres this guy who WILL eventually be shooting a charged disk (when I get round to modelling the blast with green stuff)

I am seriously loving those pictures, shame mine are all glued in rank file poses, grrr, I feel that I'll be needing spare parts when I try to prise them apart to repose them

Its the simple things that make the poses to be honest, that second BS only had a slight leg remodel and I've just stuck the RGs to the side of his arms with added shield.

Dont go crazy with mods or it may look too cluttered

I concur with the arm mounted look for the railguns. The shoulder mounted ones only seem to work properly with the broadsides from DoW.

My only objection to glueing the guns to the arms is that the railguns look to long.

GW did a conversion and made it look like he was holding a minigun which was pretty cool.

I made them look like this. Cannon is split Railgun from Hammerhead. The head was changed, since it looked like crap.

@Kroothawk - I think you'll find I did my conversion about 3 years before Forgeworld released that model

Also the FW ones are resin, don't know if you have any experience with it, but it takes a little getting used to.

Can't say I've ever tried a FW model...

Depends on your conversion and working time: FW Broadside is £28.00, GW Broadside £18.00 .
