Wow. Now that is a beautiful model.
That NMM technique on the gold worked a treat, and really brings attention to the flesh.
Nice attempt at NMM on the blade, but still needs a bit of refining. I also like the red cloth and the NMM halo

I went for a hot/white hot metal colour scheme rather than the usual fire/magma that most of them seem to be painted in.

Not sure if this is exactly my best painted model, but it's one of those which outcome I liked the most, due to having loaned the colouring from my tri-coloured pekingese dog.

Silver, that is a great model.
I like the change of tack on the paint choices. the reeds on the left make the model look smaller, however. Great work.

Lialdia, did you paint that fur with a drybush or wash? It is very effective. I would be interested to know where you got the model too. A good model for my mounted Space Wolves

I like youre freehand symols and weathering. They impre the model alot. I dont know if its simply the close image, but the white consul looks as though it neeeds some cleaning up, with uneven lines. The ultramarine is fabulous

My Scorpions below are my best minis to date. I'm also pleased with my vehicles as they were a bit of an experiment that actually worked out for a change!

The fur is done via dry brushing, I didn't have good inks/washes at the time I painted it, and so I went via drybrushing. As for the model, it's Argus from Privateer Press' miniatyre game known as Hordes.

For general technique and the model I love to look at.
It is several years old and I'm sure I could do a better job now but...

Children, the Jugger is great! A well converted model by all accounts and the paint job looks suitable chaosy. However, the juggernaught being a different colour t the lord, makes the piece a little opposed. Nurgle colours I think they are. Great work

Currently quite fond of my Astropath. Tried more than my usual amount of freehand designs on the clothing (and the kitty) and ended up quite pleased with the result.

As far as something I readily have a pic of. Featured in the GW catalogue (despite having my FW models in it...weird) and won Silver at GD Atlanta '05.

Mine would be my Space-hulk Librarian.

@Stubby, those colours look great. Nice and solid, though I'm surprised you didn't do any highlights. I dunno, never painted Space Hulk...

Either one of these models, I'd say. Overall, I prefer the Kommandant, but the Shredder is probably better on a technical basis.





Probably have some better stuff laying around, but I haven't gotten around to photographing any of my newer stuff in a pretty long time.

EDIT: Although, looking at it now, I see so many spots on my Kommandant I really want to go back and touch up... grr....

The simplicity looks great flinty, especially the curls on the cloth and the limited palette. Efectively draws attention to the skin

Tarot. Youre right, the shredder is better logistically, but i can understand youre fondness for the commandant. Great basing also!
