I have picked up a Claudio model from eBay for my Dark Angels terminator commander. It was cool-looking and it had lightning claws, exactly what I wanted. Has anyone had any luck with converting him to other chapters? There's not much on his armour to suggest Blood Angels, but there's enough to ruin a Dark Angels player's hopes and fingers...

I'd just shave down the blood drops, maybe change out the halo thing? BA and DA iconography look pretty similar.

That's what I was thinking... but I've been fooled before with pics... what's the deal with all the chains?

i haven't seen any conversions of that model. sgt. lorenzo gets a fair amount of conversions to other chapters (i think raff in the dakka gallery changed him to SW and DA) but i don't recall seeing wolverine getting that treatment. honestly, it shouldn't be too bad to convert him. just file down the free standing blood drops. for the blood drops within the wings, file that down half way (so as not to damage the wings) and add a sword in the middle where the blood drop was. if you get the deathwing/ravenwing plastic accessory sprue and the DA vet sprue, you should have tons of little plastic sword icon dohickies.

While the Lorenzo model is cool looking, I used a Bother-Captain Stern for my Belial conversion... problem is, as my army has evolved, I need him in a different outfit... So he has shed his traditional armour for something a little more combat-ready... and with lightning claws, too! I can't wait for this mini to arrive!

trust me, i'm there with you. i got so excited about new blood angel minis especially ones that are as ridiculously awesome looking as the space hulk ones (this was a few months BEFORE any rumors of a BA codex started filtering out) that i decided to get a deathwing army of them! my normal BA army is from 2nd edition (4500pts and only a single plastic fig other than vehicles, lol) so i figured it was my only chance of getting "new" BA models for a while.

so, does anyone have any idea as to why these guys are all chained-up? Is it something in the fluff?

It's not to difficult to remove the original shoulder pads but you have to be carefull as parts of it are attached to the mainbody.

Finally!!! This is honestly the first time I have seen someone turn him into a belial since the space hulk box came out. Almost enough to tempt me to look in the box full of terminators I have waiting to be turned into my deathwing army. If only there was a newer codex and I didn't already have so many other things to do.

I wouldn't have even gotten this guy if I hadn't updated my Dark Angels list... I found Belial works pretty damn well with lightning claws...

I too am converting some space hulk minis for a counts as deathwing army, but in this case brother omnio, and the librarian.

My chapter's iconography is relatively similar to deathwing/ravenwing, so I just shaved off the blood drops here and there, and greenstuffed over iconography with plates and did some arm swaps.

Nice job on the termy there. Yup, those SH models are very cool.

Btw: all the chains and stuff is just bling to better convey the vereran status of Terminator Marines. More akin to fluff marines than rank & file tabletop marines.

I hate to resurrect on old thread, but I see no need to duplicate it...

Has anyone ever had any luck in repositioning this mini's arms? I have two of them, one to represent the Dark Angels Company Master, and another for a regular Deathwinger. But I don't want them to look exactly the same...

Any luck/suggestions/etc?

i've magnetized sgt. lorenzo into belial with all the weapon options but i didn't touch wolverine though. sorry.
