which is your favourite army?

Orks, with no doubt in my mind.

Fun to paint and fun to play while still a very effective army.

It's just because everyone hates Blood Angels with the exeption of those who play them, and a whole lot of people jumped on the bandwagon.

Definitely Eldar kin, with SM second.

My favorite army for the stories and fluff is probably the Imperial Guard - humans fighting against alien monsters is just so interesting and compelling - not to mention easier to get into.

For looks? Possibly a tie between Eldar and DKoK/renegade Imperial guard.

For play? I like my CSM.

The Great Devourer is my favourite.

I love CSM because they might be right, so not actually bad guys. Plus, the modeling/painting opportunities are better than other armies due to their uniformity. Of course, havind a greater demon rip his way out of some lowly champi0n right in your opponent's unbelieving face is always good for a chuckle <well, cackle actually...>.

"Deathwatch" isn't on there, but that's fair, because they're not technically a playable army with rules.

So I voted Tau.

Now, if the question was "favorite faction," I might throw fits and demand the =][= get theirs, but it's not, so I won't.

I think the IG are the greatest. followed closely by the Orks. Both of these armies are fun to paint and play.

Wow, the Tau are getting a lot of love so far.

Gotta say, fluff-wise my favorite are Black Templar. My only reason? They get the holy hand grenade (sorry, holy orb) of Antioc from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I don't care about ANY other parts of the book...this item alone makes the army my favorite because of the sheer insanity of it. Can't wait for their next codex so I can toss my blood angels and play them!

Personally, I started off with Chaos then switched over to Space Marines and seem to favor playing my SM's more then my Chaos right now.

Orks. They are fun to build, paint and collect and it's quite easy to build ork vehicles from scratch.
