1. I started by pinning a shaved down necron body to some running terminator legs.
2. i pinned a SW power fist on.
3. i added a head with augments to add to the fact that the necron body are bionics, to show he has been wounded extensivly.
4. i pinned a SW stormbolter arm to the otherside.
5. i added armour strips to the front and back.
6. i then added a sight to the stormbolter for detail.
7. i added a cut down devastator pack to add bulk to the model to show he is a terminator.
8. then for extra detail i added a search light, terminator helmet, knife, auspex and tyranid parasites to the base.

Pretty cool looking, I like the combat combat knife actually. Swet idea using the necron body too, it looks good.

thanks guys, i went with the knife to show that maybe the fist is out of 'juice'.
im also going to add loads of bionics to the rest of the squad, to show they would be like gurilla fighters.

Err, sorry but when I see that I don't think "Terminator"... I think guy in bulky power armour with a backpack

His head really needs to be enclosed somehow.

thanks for the advice hennner91, how would you sujest i go about enclosing the head so as to make it look more termy but also keep it to fit with the necron body.

While I like the initiastive to try something different, I don't think you'll ever get it to look like a proper terminator with the little necron chest in the middle...

Still...maybe someone will have an idea that could work...

I think the chest is fine, anything can be bulked up.

Perhaps you could try the method people use to construct a psychic hood? That is, slice up a Space Marine shoulderpad, make a cowl out of it and then fill it up/add some bulk with green stuff?

Example:

Though, I would add that it would probably be a bit silly to use the shoulderpad as I did (with a piece running down the centre)... You'd want to find a way to make one actually run over his head, I don't know how I'd go about that but I thought it might insert some ideas for you?

Failing that, try slicing the top of a terminator's front-torso off and then using greenstuff to try accommodate that onto the torso?

I think the Necron chestpiece works, it's just the empty space around the head and adjacent to the shoulders that really lets it down.

henners91, i like the idea of cutting down the terminator torso, i think i will give that one a try.

also i will be turning this thread into my army project blog and i hope to have pics of the whole army up tomorrow and would love C&C on how to make it unique.

I'm kinda wondering why you felt the need to use a necron body instead of trusty terminator armour.....but still good conversion!
