I've seen several guard conversions based on these figures... and I can see why. They're about the coolest looking basis for a guardsman that I've seen. Should make for a fantastic looking unit.

Those sagitarii are really cool, might I ask where you got the arms from? Nice work with the scions model as well, though amusingly the material the tank is made from is so bright it looks like you've just put a white blob over the picture in paint in one of the photos Nice work though the ornamental armour works quite nicely with the robed legs

Cheers much appreciated. I know about the white, my phone doesn't really like a pure white mixed in with the grey. I promise you'll see some color soon.
With regards to the sagittarii arms most are from Blightwheel minatures. I actually have a full parts breakdown here: http://forgemechanicus.blogspot.dk/2014/03/sagittarii-scale-and-components.html with links to the different shops too.

Already slapped some paint on him, mostly metals, but also managed to work on the gun. No the best photos I know, still getting to know my new phone. A few more pics in my blog if you should be interested.

Added some red to the mix. Far from done but it does give quite a good impression of the finished look.

Looks good Manus. I think you need a bit more of a difference between the inner glow of the eyes and the actual shade of the glow. Maybe.... The other thing to remember is that light doesn't go around corners... so the back-sides of the goggles shouldn't have any glow on them.

Thanks guys. I agree on the color gradient should be greater, will have to work on that on the next ones. I also agree that there should be a blue hue to other parts of the goggles than the sides related to the light source, looks wrong in OSL.
However strictly physical speaking light does actually slightly go around corners - not trying to start up a discussion here, and again stating it should not be painted such in OSL

a bit more detail, anyone up for a game of chess?

oh... that development has totally escaped me...

the leg is of anvil industry design?

the combination looks super...and the painting ...well...that kind of red is always with me

if you change the antenna of the backpack you would have a fully suitable steampunk fighter...

Hey Vik, good to have you back
Yes the legs are from anvil industry.
I actually never thought of removing the antenna, but now the idea is quite appealing to me. I'll give it a look.

Yes I must apologise to been awhile I know, some interesting stuff since where to start errmmmm

The tracked units not really my thing but work never the less as they are supposed to, something I have never got to grips with always looked odd but that's just me.

Now the IG Storm Troopers (after all thats what they are no matter what they call them) nice combination of Anvil and GW works well as Mechanicus and the paint work ties them right in.

I like the fact your palette is well balanced, good combination of red and black and the metal work is spot on good job all round.
