Last year I built a series of four awesome Mega Nobz (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/260712.page) that I was pretty proud of. But I wanted to have a full squad at my disposal, and didn't want to spend $20x6 models to get it. So, I built some more by heavily converting 6 AoBR Nobz. I just finished the modeling, and thought I'd share. All are equipped with combi-skorchas, and will be painted a bit like Domo Kun. Brown, with those top searchlights as the eyes.

Here are some pics of the combi-skorchas that I built:

3 like this. This design is really easy. It's an AoBR warboss twin linked shooter, with the lower barrel removed, and replaced with a SM flamer:

Their backs all look like this. It's a bit from the Chemical Pant model (http://www.thewarstore.com/product18602.html), as are various other little bits.

All but one of the PK's are scratch:

Not a bad looking crew:

I fielded them for the first time last weekend, and they worked very well against the Tyranid. I fielded 5 of them in a trukk with a mega armor warboss. Lots of points, but pretty unstoppable.

Hope you all like them and are inspired to build you own! I have more WIP pix if you want to see how any of the work was done.

Those look quite menacing. I especially like the combi-scorcha made out of a flamer.

Now go and paint them!

I can't wait to see these painted. I've always wanted meganobz but are they twenty dollars each?

The Imperium using advanced technology is like drinking Pepsi out of a Coke bottle.

For sure! And a full squad of 10 Sv 2+, 2W models with PK is brutal. If they get the assault, that's ~40 S9, WS4 attacks!

A Squeaky Waaagh!!

Camkhieri: "And another very cool thing, my phones predictive text actually gave me chicken as an option after typing robot, how cool is that."'

Meercat: "All eyes turned to the horizon and beheld, in lonely and menacing grandeur, the silhouette of a single Grot robot chicken; a portent of evil days to come."
