Well not much of a tide yet, but you gotta start with a puddle first, right? Well here's what I've worked on so far. Just need to base.

I like the plasticard arrow on the top doors, I might pinch that idea for my 3rd company, much easier than painting the arrows on.
Your Ultramarines look very cool and clean, I asume you are aiming for the 4th company, since most of them have green trim. Is the blue green colour on the trim like a basecolour or are you going for a mix of companies?

Yeah they are the 4th company colors. Some of them have an off green as I was trying to find the perfect shade. The I looked in the Insignia Astartes and went with that green which is a combo of jade and forest type green.

My calling is Chaos but as I need a second army I've decided to go with the other side of the scale and go with the Ultramarines. They are just so goody goody that there is room for taint there.. MUAHAHAHHAAAA!!!

And please brother feel free to use any ideas, as most of mine are a collection or amalgamation of others I've seen and used.

So how are things going?

Well, the forge was closed for a bit. Went snowboarding in Lake Tahoe with the in-laws for the last four days. I'll be posting some new pics in a few days. Also the blood god has been sending me images of his armies and lots of new conversion ideas, so my mind has been pre occupado with many many good things.

The laughing of the dark one sings to me in my dreams, images of rivers of blood that flow in the valleys made by mountains of skulls. There the master has shown me his champion and his generals. They will lead the next crusade against the carrion god's precious little lambs, it will be a whole sale slaughter that will bring the whole sector to it's knees......
Blood for the blood god and Skulls for his throne!

Ok, I've been busy reshaping sheet plastic, finding the right bitz and what nots to bring you this.... Tried to keep it somewhat in order as to the build..

How simple was that conversion? Did you simply cut the hull in half, trace a template onto plasticard then extend the hull, or was it more complex? Also, how did you make such a precise cut on the hull?

I'm happy to say that no hulls were cut or injured in this conversion.

As shown in the first picture you see the left half of the hull laid uncut and traced onto cardboard aka imperial sanctioned toaster waffle box. Then in the next pic you see the template that was made and then used to trace onto styrene plastic sheet. Pretty simple conversion, although having some experience with scratch building and converting models does help and a little imagination

fitting the engine pods on to see how it looks

Personalizing the tail :)

Removed these bits from the engine pods and attached them to the tail section

added some additional plastic to box them up a bit

Imperial sector came in handy

That my brother is a proper Stormraven and looks better then the original and looks like it could hold the amount of models its suppose too. Cant wait to see more.
