Unlike many people i quite like the new Stormraven model and have decided to scratchbuild one as my first EVER scratchbuild project.

So far ive got the main hull underway. Its basic at the moment but i intend to add as much detail as i can (lots of spare parts in the bitz box!!!!).

What do you guys think so far.....

I like it. Couple of questions; What are you using to construct it, are you having to use any internal supports and how big do you expect it will turn out? The reason I ask is that I'm trying to construct an Ork battlewagon out of plasticard. I go through periods of liking it and then hating it! It is bigger than I'd planned(no use at judging scales).

Mostly card and bits of rhinos and the dark angel sprue.


Scale wise it was difficult but ive tried to mirror the pic of the Stormraven model using the models in the fore ground for scale and the rhino door which it has on the side. I too go through periods of liking it then dislikig it but i will soldier on.

Just looking at the Sanguine priest, well done. I have the model also and would like to pass on this tip; paint the teeth! It makes this great model come to life. Great looking marines.

All lookin pretty good! I'll have to keep on eye on this thread.

Do you want a death mask to look alive? But the models are sweet. And btw you probably should paint the teeth
