I recently got 19 marines from a friend, and decided to paint up each one (minus the two extra) as a chapter from the Badab War (old schemes)
The idea for the diorama is the four traitors back to back, surrounded by all the loyalist chapters.
Before I begin my quest, I want to try to determine which marine should be which chapter.





I have already decided on one, the yelling Sgt. is going to be a Space Shark, and the reloading marine will be one of the traitors.
Anyone have any ideas for some of the cool marines ( auspex guy, beakie w/ bayonet, flamer guys, scope on bolter guy, tons of guns guy, and the other Sgts) to be specific chapters? The normal looking marines will be however is left.

Hey mate remember that Miro called. Just pick the ones you like best, i would recommend having most in the 'popular' chapter colours (Cant remember which chapters atm) and only have a couple from the 'weird' ones they included.

The beaky should be the MW. Gits uses lots of beakys for him, would be a cool homage.

Which beakie? I had a thought to do the scoped guy as the MW, and make a mock-silencer, but you are right, one of the beakies could be a MW

Its one of every chapter. There aren't many weird ones. (unless you mean the alternate camos for certain battles? There are only going to be one or two with the camos)

Hey BBL... sorry, when you'd asked me about this earlier I didn't quite groc what you were after... think I get it now though. I agree with WM... pick one of the beakies for the MW. Tiger claws were supposed to have a forge world, so if you have one with better/more advanced equipment than the others... that's your Tiger Claw.

Sounds good Gits. The Beakie with Bayonet will be a mantis warrior....in Tranquility scheme!
Lets see if my take on it will live up to your amazing models

So, now we have the Scoped marine as a Tiger Claw, yelling Sgt. as Space Shark, Beakie w/ bayonet (he will also get a mock-silencer) as MW.
One flamer will be the Fire Angels, another will be the Fire hawks. Another beakie will be the Raptor Legion.
You know what? Lamenters marine will be the reloading guy, because the Lamenters always had bad luck
One of the Sgts will be a Salamander because I want to try to paint the skin tone.
I'm thinking the guy with the two bolters and a bp will be an Executioner, because they seem to be the super heavily armed guys.
Still no clue who gets the Chainsword and Flamer.

If you dare try to hold to that new fluff that says the salamanders have black skin I shall not be your friend anymore!

Executioner. Wow, painting this guy was fun.

Neither have been ink washed yet. (opps, I forgot to paint the Executioners purity seal. I'll get right on that)

I vote the flamer/ Chainsword be the chapter with The Red Wake guy... cant spell their name.

I'd be using that chapter as Space Sharks.
I think the 3 flamer guys will be the Fire Angel, Fire Hawk, and Salamander.
The Fire Angel will probably be the flamer/ chainsword guy. I think Space Sharks need a yelling guy as their character

Oh, definitely. Make one of the banner guys a Lamenter. Some other ones: Make the scope guy a Red Scorpion, and another a Star Phantom.

Lamenter gets no banner. After I painted my othdr Lamenter, I promised myself never again will I paint up a Lamenters banner.
Are there other chapters that deserve a banner?

Suppose the Star Phantoms. They were kinda the end of the war...

I presume you're going for the Rogue Trader era version of the Badab war, rather than the current fluff version as you've got Tigers Claws?
