Since I've been on the SW kick lately, I decided to ramp up the character of some of these models. So here's what I came up with.
[Thumb - DSCF3599.JPG]
Freya Firebush (she's gonna be a redhead)

[Thumb - DSCF3601.JPG]
Hralf Mjod-Hand

That second guy is pretty awesome. I like the character that the pose and bitz add. At my local hobby shop, one of the managers has a dio with 3 rotund SWs in a tavern getting loaded. One of them is wielding a giant turkey leg. It is amazing.

Freya needs breast reduction surgery and arm lengthening surgery.

Love Hralf, especially the hamster on his bolter.

Freya Firebush aye? I guess having red hair would mean she lives up to her name

I figure if anyone's gene seed was unstable enough to work on women, it would be the Space Wolves. And they'd try it too, if for no other reason than because the Codex Marines say that you can't. I can totally imagine her complaining that "You wouldn't BELIEVE how often I have to shave."

Nah
It's more because of her cystitis.

Her arms are looking too short Eledamris.

Here's Hralf, the finished product. He's obviously sober as a Sister of Battle. I can just imagine him saying "WHAT!!? You want me to kill Tyranids?! Can't you see I'm busy?"

First, may I echo the comments about Freya's arms - they do look too small.
Second, great work on Hralf - "For the last time, whelp, you are NOT having my Wulfsmead !"

In regards to Freya, "I see my failure and will be sure to correct it." I took care of her arms, so she's in the process of being painted now.

The arm issue with Freya has already been mentioned, but has no one else noticed that she seems to be packing a few extra vertebrae? I think the proportions would be much better if she was shortened by approximately the height of the belt.

Definitely digging the drunk, though. The model's head is just perfect for it - the wolf-fanged, venerable warrior looks like an angry, balding drunk whose front teeth either fell out or were knocked out (either seems quite fitting).

The Dreadnote wrote:But the Emperor already has a shrine, in the form of your local Games Workshop. You honour him by sacrificing your money to the plastic effigies of his warriors. In time, your devotion will be rewarded with the gift of having even more effigies to worship.

I agree with oadie that Freya's too tall. The proportions overall just seem a bit...off. I'll leave the arms be as you've promised you've fixed them, but in addition I'd say she's a bit too tall in the torso and legs, and the gigantic chest just serves to emphasize that she's got incredibly skinny hips.

I agree about Hralf too though. You did an awesome job modelling him with a ton of character, and the paint job certainly does him justice.
