So here's my finished Freya. I like how she came out, especially that she looks like she just nonchalantly decapitated a Traitor Marine. Definitely the attitude my Space Wolves have toward the universe. I don't think I've ever put this much consideration into one army, but then again it's a fairly small number of models so they can all have a bit more character than my IG had.

Very cool.

I just want to add a note to other posters, this is NOT the place to argue whether or not women can be Space Marines. Feel free to start a thread in the 40 background forum if there isn't one already.

Looks great! Kind of the idea I had for my space wolves, except I had a squad of Adeptus soritas painted up like space wolves.

What model did you use?

also @Kid_Kyoto - I don't think its a matter of wether or not Women can be space marines (since the sisters of battle technically are), I think its just a matter of wether or not the space marines want women

For her fluff, I wrote up a little story about how an off-handed remark from the Ultramarines about how women could never be Space Marines spurred Logan Grimnar to tell his Wolf Priests to keep an eye out for a female warrior that they thought could become a Space Wolf. When asked why, he simply replied "Because they said we couldn't."

Thanks for the compliments, the model was from two different Fenryll models and a lot of green stuff and brown stuff. I have two more female barbarians that might make it into the ranks of the Space Wolves eventually.

Great job on this model!

@Kid_Kyoto: A good thing that you've done an intervention at the very beginning to avoid this thread to turn to a flame war!

She needs red hair to be a firebush. I like her though, looks like it took a lot of effort.

Also I figured you might like these that I made (counts as skyclaws):

She's a redhead, but it's natural, not the GW version of Blazing Orange red hair. Too much red paint just makes it look like she got Wal-Mart brand hair dye.

She certainly looks a lot better now that she's painted. I'm still not entirely convinced of the proportions, but the pose is spot-on and the paintjob really pulls everything together for a pretty convincing model. Cheers!

Personally I prefer a slightly smaller bust on a lady

Lovely model though. The pose and paintjob both give it a lot of character. I particularly like the gore on the axe. Is there a thread where I can find out about the creation of this model and/or army? I'd love to find out more.

Oh, and Lord Scythican, same request goes to you - yours look great too. Seraphim conversions if I'm not mistaken.

Well ceramite armor does tend to enhance features. She's mostly sculpted from Brown Stuff with a base model from Fenryll miniatures.

I'd normally criticize the exaggerated chest plate but for Space Wolves and this model it doesn't bother me. I just assume she got her armour from opera costume bits after the fat lady finished singing.

I bet her non-boob proportions look odd next to a squad of "my pelvic joins are square brackets" normal space marines, but I think it's basically a solid conversion. Quite impressive actually if that's green stuff added to another mini. I like that she's weathered a bit and maybe this is just a sign of my dirty mind but I do have to wonder exactly what sort of combat she has been in that her armour's finish has been scraped off in chunks inside her legs and in her cleavage.

i love every part of this model but one, the arms. in my opinion they are just too skinny in comparison to the rest of her body and don't look like they could wield that axe with any kind of proficiency.

on a more positive note, great work on the gore on the axe, perfectly gruesome.
