My army are called the Urban Assassins. Imperial Guard, yada yada. I'm going to post fluff in the weeks to come (2 1/2 weeks vacation soon)

I finally finished my first model in my new scheme. It's highly based on the Imperial Guard in the Rulebook pages 259-260. Here's a picture. Don't hate on my poor painting skills please ^^ Constructive criticis, tips, etc Thank you

Anychance of some better picks, i cant pick anything out :/

Pictures are extremely blurry, I cant make out what colours are used.

Advise on better pictures:

Put your model on a surface, instead of holding it.

If your using a phone camera, please don't. If you don't have the money to buy a good camera, then you should be able to borrow it from friend or family.

Use the micro setting. It usually has a picture of a flower on it, it auto focuses much better and there for, takes better pictures.

I just recently learned this. Instead of taking pictures on a white background, look for grey midtones.

I had it on a surface, but I couldn't take a good picture for a reason which is linked to the camera:

A tip I've took on from Les Bursley who sometimes posts here, is after undercoating black, paint the skin but leave the eye area black with the undercoat,.. and don't try to paint the eyes. I think it yields a better result, as I find painting eyes, unless you're absolutely amazing at it, will often give you a strange look or if you miss the detail completely, you ruin the work you put into the skin.

Because although I can't see detail, it looks like you've attempted the eyes. I think for future models, you might find the results better if you left them dark.

Otherwise, the colour palette is looking quite good, and I like that you based the model too.

I like the scheme, but I found with my own army that if you put helmet stripes on, you need to continue stressing that they aren't conscripts. I use them for squad recognition but for some reason, whenever people see the helmet stripe they immediately assume conscripts.

You got the background into focus on that last one, try having the reticle over the guardsmen for a longer period to let it auto focus before hitting the button.
