Liking he codex but I'm a bit disappointed by the fact that Skitarii don't have access to standard Imperim kit from other armies. I'm thinking transports like Rhinos/chimera would have been a easy fit and a good excuse for some Red tanks.

Would have made for a bit more variation.

I hope any full AdMech codex has this covered.

Unfortunately GW doesn't really do cross codex model releases anymore. The Storm Raven was the last one.

Daemonkin? Even if its put together like a compendium, its still a full codex and the units are not just copy-paste due to rules, equipment and unit size.
It has been said alot lately, but GWs only pattern is they dont have a pattern. Expect the unexpected, but then again, dont.

Edit: oh and tempestus must be more recent than the stormraven too.

Only the majority were traitor. There was still a minority that didn't. That minority, fluff-wise, explicitly was allowed to stick around after the Heresy, albeit with extremely strict and harsh oaths.

Legio Cybernetica does "canonically" exist in modern 40k (even if you don't include the old Rogue Trader fluff). They're just a LOT smaller than they were during the Great Crusade (because of that reason).

Good to see GW appears to know/remember that.

They have oaths more binding than any Space Marine Chapter. Probably to Mars and the Ommisiah

Well they'd better have better oaths,

from BoLS, we've heard about the priest already but this is the first description I've seen

Via Captain Citadel

“There will be a new combo kit for the Cult Mechanicus that contains their core unit the Electro-Priest. One version features large double handed glaives similar to the old model from the 1990’s and the other is armed with archaic looking wrist mounted shooting weapons. Both versions feature robed legs, and torsos with exposed fleshy chests that contain the bio-electrical details that they are known for.

Their heads are both bare, and some are blindfolded as well. The close combat versions are wreathed in cog plate, and the shooting variant (with the wrist mounted weapons) have yet more archaic equipment grafted into their backs and heads.

They both share the same robed legs which look similar to the zealots of olde, and are topped with a very American wrestling championship styled belt crowned with a large Mechanicus cog. Their bases are smaller than 40mm.”

To add for the electro-priests via natfka (http://natfka.blogspot.jp/2015/04/cult-mechanicus-electro-priests.html)

Electro-Priests are not troops like earlier rumors were saying today, instead both Electro-Priests units are Elites. Its a dual kit with Fulgurite Electro-Priests and Corpuscarii Electro-Priests. Energy Fields give both units a 5++.

Fulgurites have staves with enhanced strength and can get a 3++ for the rest of the game if they wipe out a unit in close combat.

Corpuscariis have gauntlets that are assault weapons shooting with a 12" range, and can also be used in close combat.

Both weapons have other abilities as well that fit with the Electro-Priests. They can be taken groups of up to 20.

While I am not familiar with the electro-priests of old, units of 20 may not be the melee powerhouse that people have been talking about.
Still I like the 3++ if the fulgurite wipes a unit. Would this apply to the entire unit or just the model?

So they wont be Techno Psykers.

I honestly wonder how many we get in a box.
In the Black Codex they were 5-20, had frenzy and if broken in combat the unit dissapeared they also had a 4+ Armour save

Im keeping my old 2nd ed books here just so i can compare stuff if anybody's interested.

Unit size of 20 and small bases makes me wonder if, like the Skitarii, these will be a reasonably priced box of 10 rather than coming in 5s?

I thought they were on the larger 30mm bases but I'm not sure why I think that.

But they were supposed to be like crazy fanatics.

I think if modeling is anything to go by they will be on 32 just because of how much they are going to be flailing about.

Shoot anything that is a CC unit and 20 strong gets me excited about adding them in, throwing them in a spartan, and throwing said spartan at the enemy.

With such a low armour save and without a transport I can see them being shot to oblivion.

So unless they have scout or a movement bonus rule maybe we will get a transport ?

Unlike Skitarri, I can't imagine why cult mechanicus people would NOT have transports in the fluff. That'd be like a mechanic in real life going around without a car (which, while possible, would be just tragic)

Going back to previous rumors, we are rumored to get a tank of some sort... maybe thats our transport.

I doubt GW will let us, but reasonably the mechanicus should be taking land raiders since its mentioned that even in the 40k era Mechanicus have them.

Cult Mechanicus New Unit Latest!

Posted by Rob Baer at April 22, 2015

If you thought the Elctro-Priests sounded cool, these new Cult Mechanicus Unit rumors are out of the park.

It looks like the next Adeptus Mechanicus release is full of surprises. First we heard of new Knight Titan Variants that may be part of the same release, and now these new tracked Infantry models sound like the kinds of models we’ve been waiting on for years.

Via Captain Citadel

“The Second combo kit for the new Mechanicus will feature tracked conveyor infantry models who resemble cybernetic terminators cut at the waist and attached to set of small triangle treads.

One unit type will be heavily armored, and decked out for close quarters engagements.
The second is less armored, and features two types of cannon; a plasma cannon varainat, and a larger calibre weapon.

They are on 50mm bases.”

Remember the story of the Kaban Machine (see above)? These sound a lot like that tracked monstrosity, just a tad bit smaller. Or they could just be Grimdark Johnny 5s from Short Circuit (see title image)

If you were excited about first Adeptus Mechanicus release, you may be ecstatic about these new cult models.

seems about right, titans are a big part of the admech but due to being forge world big they seem to be using titans heavily with em

bit early to say that. 1.5 units is just what we know about thus far. I can't imagine they'll be the only thing in the codex.
