first conversion of my new dark eldar army. I would like feedback on the model more than on the paint job please.
I used an Island of blood Rat ogre as the base with talos/chronos parts.

thanks , I made a second one today using the other rat ogre from island of blood and one of the liquifier guns from the talos kit. With one kit, I will have been able to build a talos + 3 grotesques using spare parts and rat ogres..

Excellent model choice, it reminds me of abominations from WoW. Great use of the extra talos bits.

Here is the second one, still done with leftovers from the same talos kit and the second rat ogre from island of blood. The liquifier gun couldn’t fit more imo as the tube that goes from the body to the gun and the ichor container on the shoulder were already part of the model

Ratogre body works perfectly. Awesome conversions which helps with the fact that otherwise every grotesque in a unit'd have the same pose that sorta sucks.

Awesome work

The second one in particular is extremely sweet - love the pose and the parts blend pretty seamlessly. The paintjob - expecially the musculature - is nicely worked too. Gratz!

Put simply, I love them. The choice in models are absolutely apt for each other and your modelling and paintjob perform well in complimenting this Frankensteinesque marriage.

Great job, these look so much better than the official models! Consider the idea stolen wholesale for whenever I get around to building mine. Was there anything tricky about fitting the parts? I know you said the liquifier gun fit well but any tips on the other bits?

I've seen a couple of people do grotesques like this, and I gotta say, it's a sound way to do them. They fit in with the Dark Eldar very well, and the Talos parts mesh with them very well.
