Just like the title says, are the FW kits wort the 80 Bucks or would I be better off dropping a Aegis kit on a Chimera?

Kitbash is the better option imo, or you could also use other company bitz that make "AA Flak Cannons" such as old crow

I would say kit-bash as well. I don't like the macro-calibre look of the FW barrels. Here is a hydra I did using Old Crow bits. I think they work rather well

Even if you don't like the turrets though the Old Crow barrels are great value.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Kitbash all the way. The barrels on the hydra kits are a nightmare to get straight and quite brittle.

I did a scratchbuilt hydra turret, funnily enough with exactly the same Old Crow guns as Flinty.

You could also order from Ratgard.

His kit is half the cost of FW and twice as nice.

Nice. I love the camo on the other tanks.

Oh nice! but the Ratgard kit is twice the cost of 1 Aegis kit. Can someone please post up their experiences with the Aegis kit?

Well it easily goes on the turret

But I think it looks better when it's on the back end

But I still think it looks a bit weedy for hydra autos

I agree about it looking better on the backend.

I'd use the Aegis guns but with a plasticard turret between the twin guns, just for some visual bulk.

BitsPudlo has a kit too that should be easily adaptable.
