I like the SF Roman General, I think it’s the best one they have done so far.
However it’s still the same face yet again, kind of lets it down a bit

Was considering whether it is easier to sculpt the BB symbols on it, or to remove the die and put in an actual block die.

I am really surprised how unnatural are the poses of these new romans. Really doesn't look like scibor style of posing.
Compared to the sergeant holding his helmet and the standart bearer those four are quite ugly.
But still gonna get body set to make custodes army more differentiated

They look like pretty standard Scibor poses to me. He's somewhat limited by his habit of blocking in between their legs. That, combined with the hugely deformed and over-sized armour tends to make them all look a little awkward.
He has some lovely detail on a lot of his pieces, but posing has never really been a strong suit.

Nice parts, but damn they are expensive. It's a head-scratcher when Forgeworld's stuff is so much cheaper than a third-party alternative.
Dunno, maybe I'll pick up the sword/powerfist and double-powerfist packs down the line from a Maelstrom sale or something.

Have to agree with this, if anything his posing is getting worse, not better.

Wow, that blows GWs Calgar away big time.
Would be great if the arms were available separately...I dont need the whole mini, but I could put the arms to use.

I think its the simplicity (so to speak) that I like. In typical fashion GWs Calgar is way to busy (excessive seals, etc) and this one isnt over crowed with that kind of thing. It might be just me, but I dont like tons of extra junk on my models...like purity seals, skulls, etc. I can forgive a little bit, but GW seems to have gone way overboard with that kind of thing.
