I have had 2 of the 3 I now own for almost a year and finally got some time and ambition to paint. Also finished Kharn as well. Take a look.

Blight Drones always confuse me, for some reason they look much smaller in pictures then the models really are. When you see them in the Space Marine video game I was shocked to find that they're actually freakin huge, when previously I imagined them the size of Tau drones.

@WM...I know I know! I ahve them primed and their bases are constructed and ready to paint as well. Also, thanks for all your help on the FW order!

@SilverMK2...Thank You!

@Harriticus...Yes initially I thought the Blight Drone was smaller but FW had it compared to a dreadnought on the page which gave me a good idea of it's size. I truly can't wait to field my fully functional Death Guard! MORE PAINT!!

I also just recently picked up a FW Great unclean One for a bargain off of eBay. I never was really aware of how big it was until I found this on Dakka... http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/220125.page

I love that old Kharn mini, so much violence oozing from every sculpt!

And that Blight Drone is fantastic, I love the rotten effect you have managed. Can I ask how?

Can you compare them to a chimera sized tank?

The colors are a bit saturated partially because of my camera and I increased the contrast a bit.

As far as the rotted effect, that credit can be given to the sculpt for one, but the rust effect was gained by using a stipple brush of vomit brown and blaze orange, concentrating on the fissures. I then washed it in Devlan mud to tone it down. The actual body of the thing is base coated in graveyard earth, drybrushed and highlighted with Snakebite leather, and then dry-brushed/highlighted with rotting flesh. I washed it with Devlan Mud again to even it out and give it a bit more depth and putrescence. All the hoses I base coated in blaze orange and then heavy drybushed tinbitz and then a light drybrush of boltgun metal. This gave the appearance of old corroded metal with spots of blaze orange shining through like rust. I washed it with Badab Black afterwards in strategic places. the eye I just painted chaos black then overcoated it with a gloss varnish to give it that wet insectoid look..

Thanks for all of your compliments!
