Hey guys.

This is my first proper post and was looking for some feedback on his guy.

I had started a eldar army and pottering away with the usual stuff that i will get round to posting up once i organise it better and get time (christmas is so hectic at work) not to mention better light to take pictures in.

This though i quite enjoyed making so thought id share. Im thinking of adding a pendant to his lance as well but again not sure.

Anyway all feedback is appreciated

Thanks. Pictures not the best to be honest a lot of the detail is lost by the flash on the white but thanks for the comment

Nice job. Really like it when people work to show eldar exodites.

That's a fantastic job, flash issues or no. Pendant on the lance would be a nice touch for a "feudal" style of figure.

It looks great. Like Gitsplitta, I'd like to see the model from a few more angles.

A little bit of exposition on how you made it would be good too as Ogryn pointed out.

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

Eldar aren't my thing (in fact I still hate them from 2nd Ed) but I have to say your modeling and painting are top notch. Great work so far!

Thanks for all the feedback guys.

He was made from a eldar guardian top half with the wrist cut to add a lance hand. The bottom half is dark elf cold one riders with some milliput to widen them to fit the cold one. The cold one its self is a skink cold one as i liked the symbols feeling that the old ones in fantasy are more or less the same who created the eldar so there would be a remenant there of them. The cloak was made from milliput as well but never came out that great.

Nice, like the colour combinations a lot.

Cant help feeling the lance handle and blade could do with being separated, eg different colours. It seems the blade gets a bit lost as is atm.

I'd suggest repositioning the hands. Sideways ghetto gripping the weapons looks kinda silly normally, but it looks especially awkward with him holding it out to the side like that. Obviously we don't know if Eldar physiology would allow that, but since most of the people viewing your models will be human, that grip will look really uncomfortable and ineffective.

Otherwise, it's a good looking model.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?
