Hi all

This is getting it's first outing on Tuesday night against someone who is bringing a dark eldar flyer "because necrons don't have any AA".

The whole thing is made from 1mm cardboard in layers, cut with a laser.

Very nice indeed! A great scratchbuild. I think maybe the black could stand to be a little darker, but that might just be a trick of the photograph. This is really nice work.

Though you might consider running night scythes and annihilation barges and see what this idiot thinks of necrons' supposed lack of AA fire then...

Most folks i know just use a Monolith. Although it may look better with the top arms removed and a wall built up using the corner posts as a guide. The crystal can count as the gun/comms relay.

Great work, that is extremely impressive and I would have to say a better job than the Tyranid Aegis Defense Line (which was my current favorite Aegis conversion).




I'm excited to see future Defense Line conversions for all armies because a lot of army lists don't have the necessary anti-air options. Necrons are not one of those armies, however, so I'm not sure what your friend was smoking. I'm working on a Kroot one, myself, and its great to see all the ideas out there.

But necrons don't have AA? Besides the flyers that are awesome at it just try shooting your gauss weapons, and glance it to death...

I think his comment on "necrons don't have AA" was referring to Aegis specifically. We'll see how it turns out.

Meade... I have all my stuff laser-cut by a local company - I don't have my own laser. I just like building scenery.

Some of the things I make though turn out well enough to be considered for conversion into a kit which I do sell as a "operate from your cubicle in your lunch hour" business.

The Necron Defense line looks sweet also liking the Tyranid Line, two great job.
