I am going to gloss the helmet and paint it black. I was inspired by all the joke photoshops around the net to make them look better. I ripped off the idea for the guns from the contemptor dread, shoulderpads from previously converted centurions to 30k mechanicus, and I think they look good so far. Next is painting. I also hated how high the shoulder mounted weapon looked, so I removed the piece and magnetized. The fists I will just tell my opponent what they are, but most times I imagine I will be running the guns versions.

now if only I knew how to base.

I agree, and in 12 more coats of ard coat, you will never be able to tell they were ever there.

this was the first time I had ever used greenstuff other than for filling gaps/helping to glue small parts together better/as mold filler for weapon copies. Its not as good as I would have liked, but since all I had was a knife and some water, it came out ok.

It's amazing how many of GW's bad models can be fixed by a simple modification.

I think this is a smart and simple conversion that worked very well! Cudos!

That said, I have nothing against the original version with the right paint job on it.

I didn't really do anything I wasn't already inspired to do from the hilarious photo shops floating around.

Those are excellent! My favorite ones I've seen so far, huge leaps better than stock.

While i still wish to have seen the googly eye version i REALLY like the Glass dome look too.

All i can think of are those ceiling security cameras right now

Well you nailed it. I love the larger power fists too, I think they improve the model moreso than the greenstuffed dome. Great work.

I think the Heads Look like penises

Love the gun arm idea and the extra bulk the shoulder pads give it. Just not sold on the head. I'm curious if it would be possible to do a dome head made from Space Marine shoulder pads (glued end to end) without it looking off?
