Wow, making those less-than-amazing grots look great.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

Interesting variation on the skin tone. You often see orks all painted exactly the same shade, but it seems that a range of shades would be more natural. And the contrast yellow really works well.

Anyway, looks like a good start! Is it going to get an external “launch” system or will it be 100% self propelled?

Ter-max?

@Viterbi, Having gotten a Lego mug for Christmas, I would have considered turning that terrain piece into a functioning cup or at least a brush water cup. Use the bottom part as the cup itself and they make watertight sealants good for food consumption to seal the inside of it. Use the dome as a lid to cover it when not in use and could still use it when it’s empty for terrain .

Yes, it'll get as close as I can to the "Epic" version of the Imperial/Squat Mole, to go along with my Termite.

Just need some last pieces parts, before I break out my last superheavy chassis to build the carrier.

Believe me, the temptation to convert all of my mortar squads to Mole Mortars is there. And I have a miter box.

That Minotaur Air power looks really scary (and cool)! I have a soft spot for those old grots - if I was an ork warboss I'd totally give them little uniforms to run around in....

We should do a good Mole scenario sometime.

The drill hat is from a Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles Toy. I found it on eBay. Slightly too small, but good enough for Tabletop!

Nicely done. Love the old 40k charm theme. Just goes to show that with a little bit of creativity one can create some remarkable stuff. Kudos.

I agree, the mole looks great Brian. Out of curiosity (as someone who hasn't played epic), are there any defining characteristics that make it a mole instead of a termite? Or is it just size?

Size. There were three classes of tunnelers: Termite (small), Mole (medium), Hellebore (large).

Forgeworld's "Termite" is really a Mole, and their Mole (classified as an Ordinatus Minoris) is really a Hellebore, when you look at the size of the various Epic miniatures.

...I may own the new FW Mole/Ordinatus. Maybe. It'll be my Hellebore.

Not at all. I appreciate it. I asked because I was curious. If you are putting together a hellebore, I'm looking forward to it.

That's a really sharp build on the Mole. I feel like you could've gotten away with less, but I love that you went in on all the little details. The shot of the two together really brings it home.

It'd probably be a lot cheaper if I just painted Epic scale stuff...
