I have a game tomorrow. Two 1000 pt teams per side. I have to decide what to bring in terms of my second Army.
I'm playnig against Yellowbeard and Luciant. Last two encounters have ended in defeat. I need to turn the trend around or find a partner to blame!

Thanks Azazelx.. I still have to fill out some more missing options. More HB. Troopers and some Bikers with Grav guns.

Good game.. Won 5-4. Still very much like the objective cards. Some rules changes/tweaks still are confusing, but after only 2 games I don't expect to get up to speed yet.
Here is the drawback to the 7th edition. We only manage to get 2 full turns in. It's partically due to not knowing the rules as well, but the guys playing next to us ( more experenced ) also only got 2 turns in. Both of us started about the same time and had 3 hrs of play. I would like to see a game to it's conclusion.
ok. I'm gonna try and get an army shot this holiday. between mowing and other projects. Then some GMS trades need some time.
To all my USA friends.. Have a great 4th.

I think the addition of a "full blown" psychic phase slows things down quite a bit... though I admit I quite like the way the new psychics work.

Thanks Brother Moonpie!
Azazelx wrote:Impressive force. What does that come to in points, all up?
Hard to tell since all the vehicles ( rhino variants) all come with RB ( HB, AC and LasPlas) & Predator Options( both variants). The Stalker included!
Mostly BA codex, but some figures are DA and SM codex's only.
Partically finished are 3 Dreads, 3 Contemptors, a mess of Terminators.
Currently thou I'm working on things that I have been playing recently that I don't have in the army and are likely to be needed in my future games. Namely Tac troops with Grav guns & Plasma guns. 2 More Bikers w Grav guns 1 with Plasma gun. 2 Stormtalons ( assembled this weekend ). I might repaint the Raptor one I did last year ( in the above pic).
Working on yours and Ramo's GMS as well. The reason I jump from project to project so much ( you can see the same on my Eldar blog as well) is that I get fustrated with something and need to take a break and do something else and then come back to it. Sometimes that takes a while when you have so many figs. I also am always finding new things to do and want to go back and update my older stuff. It's a dangerous cycle.
Thanks Graven. High praise indeed!

Thanks, I have about 5 more bikes in the works. 2 with Grav guns, 1 Plasma gun, 1 Melta and another Sargent with Chainsword. I figure I’ll need at least 3 more. 2 normal and a HQ ( something unique like Lightning claws or Hammer ). This way I'll be able to field 2 squads of bikes with any load out!
I have Centurions. Just not gotten to them yet.
Time flys and you suddenly figure you got more than you thought.. This is just what painted.. I have about the same amout unpainted. I need to play a large game against someone!
Yggdrasil wrote:Really nice army shot... Are you playing the army as a mix of BA & SM detachments ? As you seem to fit gravguns in haha
I have played them as BA, DA, SM and variant chapters such as IH's. Mostly due to optimizing for Adepticon. Nice to have options. I try not to get too specific, Such as speciality DA Landspeeders or Flyers. I can't see sticking to the BA codexs in the 6th or 7th as they are unsuited and not close to competitive. Hopefully a New BA codex will update the selections to the new Meta. So in the meantime I mostly play using the SM codex.
Meph wrote:My heart rejoices at the sight of so many beakies.
All most all of mine are.. The few exceptions have been set figures either out of a box set or cast that way.. biker box set as an example.
IceAngel wrote:Great army shot Solar. It's nice to see you're hard work all lined up and ready to kill.

Thanks Brother! This is why I jump around so much. Honestly it takes forever to paint some of the Inf. I need someone to make and cast me some Lamenter shoulder pads!
Getting things lined up to do some priming. Like I mentioned earlier.. So far 5 bikes, 2 GMS Marines, 6 Marines (2 Plasma, 4 Grav), 2 storm Talons with Magnitized weapons. After that I got some Eldar stuff to do .. 10 Wraithguard , Wave Serpent, Another Wraithknight. Another Crimson Hunter and 3 War Walkers.

Not a worry - I'm exactly the same. I've had two small projects queuejump to the front of my paint queue this week. Luckily, both are extremely simple and should be finished this afternoon. I'm still assembling your GMS guy, since I've been looking for interesting bits... pics when he's assembled.

Thanks Hk1x1. This army came about as a team effort for Adepticon. Our Team was based on the Badab war so we all choose chapters from the event. Ironicly we all picked the sucessionist. So this has been in the making for 4 years?
MS. Still I love to play Marines. Wish the codex matched the fluff thou.
All our recent games we always are proxying flyers, so I thought I get my act together and build some that i had, These are still WIP so they have some finishing to do.
Here is some additional bikes base coated, More special weapon choices.
All camera phone shot so better ones when finished.
