Thanks, Orlando! I was scouting the site and missed that one somehow...I can put a gas mask head on her, right?

Yes. Now if I can just get past the exchange rate shock...

Yup, all the heads and head sprues are interchangeable throughout the Resistance Fighter range.

Could you please do some bald female heads, there are no good ones on the market that I know of. I'd be willing to buy 50-100 of these if you did them.

Female torsos would also be great in the style of the IG torso.

Yes this, and also non-bald, non-helmeted heads. Female heads and army torsoes will sell loads, since there's a lack of good customizable military females right now.

He did say he was doing female heads with hairdos, so that's something! I don't think this is the company to look at for GW compatible parts though..

Not GW Compatible parts, but customizable female body parts in the proportions they're doing right now would be nice.

Just ordered the SOE and resistance girls - 2 of each - one for me and one for the kind gentleman who paints them for me.

will see how they look in the flesh - so to speak

To be honest, conversion parts for another manufacturer's figures isn't high on the list of priorities. This isn't me being snooty against companies that provide that kind of thing, rather I don't think I would gain much satisfaction from doing it. I enjoy designing and sculpting complete characters (as should be obvious from the number of silly names in the range ) . The separate heads allow for more variety but I still set out to sculpt an individual such as Rosa or Lila or even the girls in the Resistance Fighters pack.

Also, I'm not entirely convinced a female torso would be much use as what would it go with? I'd likely have to sculpt legs to match and arms with weapons for them to look right as a complete figure. By that time, I'm getting dangerously close to a female facsimile of another manufacturer's design. A split at the waist also isn't the best plan for female figures as there's an awful lot going on in that area to do with the position of the hips relative to the shoulders. It's a big part of sculpting a female miniature in my opinion, especially to make them look feminine on the table top without resorting to too ridiculous breasts!

I wrote a long post of my blog about the design choices I took with the Resistance Fighter range and how it influences the next range I'm planning, the Faceless Oppressors. You can read it HERE. Rest assured this range will include female troopers (though they will be released after the initial launch). I've decided since I wrote that blog entry to do the Faceless Oppressors in the same manner as the Resistance Fighters, with complete bodies and separate heads and weapons.

Of course, the Resistance Fighter heads will look good on figures of many of the more finely proportioned ranges out there, but the intention was always for them to be used on the Resistance Fighter figures, first and foremost.

Complete bodies with separate heads works better IMHO, just look at the extras from the Crooked Dice range and Bolt Action with their own "Figure Head System" to avoid having too many of the same minis.

Yup, it's my preference, too. I think many people would be surprised by how different the same model can look just with a different head position. Add in a variety of different head styles and weapon options and they're even less similar.

Come the next release I'll have 4 fighter bodies, 2 officer/sergeant bodies, 2 specialists (with more coming), a commissar, 3 head spues (more on the way) and 4 weapon sprues (again, more coming...). And I'll keep adding to the range as time goes on (senior officer, medic, radio operator... lots of ideas)! Plus the SOE girls go great with the Resistance Fighters as character figures.

For the Faceless Oppressors, the current plan will be 3 troopers, 2 NCOs, Heavy weapon team (2 figures) plus a special weapon sprue and HW upgrade sprue. I'll also add different weapon option sprues and different head/helmet designs. And then there will be the female troopers, though I've yet to finalise the production plan for them. All in all, lots of variety!

Keep the minis coming, I especially like the Resistance fighters, who wear a certain type of clothing that goes well with the 7TV setting and style, especially the original headgear of the beanies and berets.

Will do. I think Karl and Graeme of CD and I share a certain fondness for retro stylings, especially retro females! I'd be a happy man if I could just spend all my time sculpting girls in berets, trench coats and boots, though I'm rather shocked that after 2 years I still don't have such a figure in my range!

YOU MUST RECTIFY THIS AT SOME POINT.

As much as I love their Pandora King and May Killian minis, I want a girl along the lines of Cate Archer for my spy cast.

There's always Agatha Fox that I did way back when (my 9th sculpt evar!): PHOTO She's still one of my favourite figures I've done. Flogged her to Reaper, though the casting they used for their shop photo is all bent.

Okay I think I've figured out my resistance cell that I'll be purchasing when the officers and commissar drop:

1x Commissar
1x Officer pack
1x Rosa
1x Lila (Yay snipers!)
2x Resistance Fighter packs
1x helmeted heads
2x alt weapons sprues (one of each)

Well... hmm maybe another fire team of fighters

Damn. That mind control works quite well Andrew.

First up is Commissar Vespera Venko. Some Resistance groups come under the sway of the various political factions in play in the world of Secrets, Spies and Saboteurs. Commissar Venko is tasked with aiding and advising her assigned Resistance Cell.

She will be a two-part casting with an optional gasmask head.

Next are the Resistance Fighter Cell Officers. These figures will be sold together and both feature separate right arms (cut at the handily placed arm-band) that can be swapped between the figures. Doing this actually changes the pose quite considerably, so along with the usual separate heads, these figures should have a lot of posing options. I've also designed a weapon option sprue for even more variety. For later release I have more figures planned that will use this arm sprue, as it provides me with another method of adding variety to the Resistance Fighter range.

I hope to get these, along with some other bits and pieces, off to print this week with production hopefully late January/ early February.

Looking forward to this, Venko is definitely going to be joining my Commissar Cadre, while left-hand officer will become a member of my Inquisitor Henchmen team, I just love the detail on that model. Add some "Lila"s and we'll be in good shape!

Left hand officer's going to be fun to paint. She's getting a unique paint job from the rest of the unit because with a cigar and pose like that I've mentally promoted her to femme John McClane.

I was thinking "Hannah" Smith http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/80/Liam_Neeson_as_Hannibal_Smith_2010.jpg

Which, I suppose will make the gal on the right, "Face".

You still need a Murdoch and a BA

Kalashnilov!!! That video is killah! How did I not know about that?!?!

Now, who can I use for BA and Murdoch? Hmmm...

Andrew, any thoughts?

(and, in my defense, I just watched the A-Team movie the other night and that Liam Neeson pic was the first that came up in my search. I apologize to the purists.)

Best chorus of any song ever amirite?

If it were me I'd say Rosie with some chains would make a good BA (still need to find a VAN... or at least an APC painted up in the famous red and black pattern) and Bella might make a good Murdoch if you GS'd a baseball cap up for her from her beret, her jacket's a little too fitted to pass off as a flight jacket, but if you have space wolves stuff or fur like bits on hand you could work up a collar like my flight jacket (the standard issue military one that is) easily enough. If you have the skill level (and I've seen your work so I'd guess you do) give her a decent case of crazy eyes and you're set!

I do like the look of Bella

(click the pic for some EYES)

a fur collar and cuffs and a ball cap would be a piece of cake...

I just picked up four rhino/predators, but IG and Inq Henchmen need a Chimera, yes? (BRB) yup...

gonna have to hit up one of the boyz at the FLGS and see if he wants to trade for an Ork trukk. That would be cool, you know, cuz red wunz go fasta!!

(OK, I know it's only got a red stripe, but you know what I mean)
A Chimera just isn't going to work, I need a VAN or a trukk that I can make LOOK like a van

...Hannah(bal) can be the Inquisitor, right? I'm thinking it's diorama time...

EDIT: I got my trukk, it's conversion time y'all. This is gonna be KILLAH!

Mwahahaha! You're welcome and I'm glad they arrived safe and sound.

@Hdbbstephen and Kalashnikov Marine: I like the way your minds work! I'd probably go for Rosa and Bella as BA and Murdoch as well. Bella already has a fur trim on her collar which makes things a bit easier. Rosa is the biggest and toughest of the Resistance girls so seems appropriate for BA and I guess her dog tags could be painted gold if you didn't fancy GSing some bling!

One more time, all together now: I love it when a plan comes together!

Oops, Edit @ Jehan-reznor: The weapon isn't separate as I decided to minimise the number of parts to cut out unnecessary pinning. However, it wouldn't be too tricky a conversion to change her gun, or to use the upcoming Cell Officer weapon option sprue.
