Aye, tbh It might have been all right to just list the points, but as a Dakka mod not sure getting banned on Seer for breaking rules that may or not be in effect would be a good idea.

Oh and for those wondering, I posted it over there as Dakka is sadly work blocked, and if I forget to take my laptop (as I did today) I cannot get on here till after I get home between 10-10.30pm. Do'h.

Something I have spotted since I posted on Seer as well, is during the battle report the Macro cannon seems to one hit kill a Lord of Battle.

So not sure if that's an indicator of how hard it is, or if the critical damage stuff is still in place.

That must be an upgrade from the one in the rulebook, since that one is no where near impressive enough to pull that off. (Like S8 AP4, Heavy 2 Blast or something).

How did the vault do in the Battle report?

Can the C'tan detach from it?

It seemed to cause some damage... reading the battle report a little while ago, I noted in the pre battle army list, it mentions it has six powers it can pick from , you take two, and they gave an example of one. Which caused 6D6 S8 Ap3 shots a turn. That's a scary lot of damage.
It mentions the figure can be used separately, and mentions in times of dire need they unleash the C'tan from its prison, but its not clear if that's fluff or not, or an actual rule.

Also its variant option, the Obelisk has a gravity pulse attack that auto hits enemy flyers in both shooting phases.

It's about fething time. I've been waiting for one for ages.

Aye, its basically the closed option, with some very minor changes.

Yeah, I'm guessing so, it was putting down a huge blue template, that looked bigger than the old green one from the old Apocalypse set, it fully covered the Lord of Battle. I suppose from GW's point of view making the templates different from the old ones forces our hands somewhat.

That lord of battle mini looks truly tragic! GW you have once again managed to amaze me with how terrible you can make your models! Their theory is that if they stick enough skulls on it, people will buy it. Seriously it looks like it belongs with the action man toys...

Meh, I'm only likely to be playing Apocalypse games at home. So long as they're the same basic shape, the old templates will do just fine.

From what it sounds like, the new template allows you to configure it into different shapes, including a line of blasts... That sounds pretty cool to me.

Well, since the Obelisk is apparently just the closed up version of the Tesseract Ark, I'm guessing... no.

It doesn't look anything like an obelisk though

Maybe the pointy part of one.

Or perhaps...this obelisk

By now I think we've gone OT...or is it on topic, since we are still talking about obelisks?
