Looks good, but also looks like another Jannisary HMG situation where they couldn't keep the scale/ style consistent within a year of the last update.

I dunno, the other Hac Tao is quite large.

Gee, this one doesn't even look like a Hac Tao. He looks massive to boot. I don't know about this one. I don't think I like him at all.

I love everything about it. The back-slung gun, the rested sword; even the hacking pose, which I'm not usually that keen on.

I think this pose works so well for me because it doesn't need to be a hacking pose. It's multi-purpose. Most of the time, if someone unfamiliar with Infinity looked at a hacker, they may well ask "what in the hell is that person doing". This one, however, just kinda feels "cool pose, no explanation required".

Have there been any pics of it posted anywhere yet for the work and Youtube blocked?

Nice, but not a Govad!
It's late in the month, any news on other release previews?

Normally, I would be the first one hopping up and down about scale issues--but from what I can tell, it's not the same thing as the Janissary HMG situation.

The Hac Tao HMG model is in a much more "closed" pose and slightly hunched over as well while this guy is standing up straight.
It could also have been intended for the Hac Tao HMG to be female rather than male, just done up in a way that people weren't really noticing it.

Armour looks much heavier than the HMG one at a glance.

It's a bit bulkier maybe. It probably wasn't intended that way but I like Kans idea of the HMG one being a female. They look about right then.

Using my amazing photoshop skills, I compared the two Hac Taos

There's no scaling issue. It's just that Hackman has a wider stance with legs spread out and forearms outwards. Meanwhile the HMGer's shoulders are close to his body with one shoulder lower than the other.
Height is about the same with Hackmanspreader being slightly shorter. Details also look the same.

Now bring on the Govads!

It's much more borderline, if it's even an issue at all, I agree.
I just don't understand why they can't stick to one design.

Also, yes, where for art thou Govads?

Hackman has a raised and visible chin. HMGer's head is nesting in its proper hole. That may give the illusion of different scales.

The biggest difference is that the blue glowing bits are painted much more brightly on the HMGer. Not a problem of the model but moreso a painting inconsistency.

Apart from the backpack being different because it's a Hacker, I can't see any differences in the design?

I'm really surprised that I'm not as impressed with the way this turned out as I thought that I'd be!

What's going on? What's happening to me? This is the freaking Hac Tao Hacker!

Head's a bit small, doesn't have the shoulder hoops. Pose is "solid", but I can cope with that because Arm 5 HI aren't exactly going to be ballet dancers.

Because.. it looks fething awesome? How is that for a reason?

I used to think the old Hac Tao with Missile Launcher was my favourite, this mini looks to have changed that though.

There are, admittedly some differences.

* Backpacks are different which can be attributed to the hacking device. That and the right 'hacking' forearm.
* Hackman has a leather-bound pistol holster on the right leg.
* The tiny armor plate on the upper right thigh on each is differently shaped.
* Hackman has no shoulder pads.
* Hackman's shoulder-vents are segmented into three parts. HMGer has two noticably distinct segments.
* Hackman has an outcropping on the thigh armor plate
* Hackman has blue wiring on the back of the knee (inner knee). HMGer has fully armored plates.

That pose reminds me of Babe Ruth pointing out his next home run

I like it more than the previous Hac Tao, which felt very static and bulky. With its high shoulders and low head, it had a silhouette like a Monolith.

This looks much better.

There's no scaling issue. The HMG Hac Tao (one of the best models of the entire last year) is gorgeous, but his armor is distinctly bulked out compared to the Terra Cotta Soldiers deliberately (he is more elite and has more armor anyway).

The only thing that'd seem large for this hacker Hac Tao is that his arm is bigger: Because it's got the hacking gauntlet distinctly there. Most hackers are now recieving 3 points of differentiation to easilly ID them on the field: Different backpack details, the goggles and a larger gauntlet on the outstretched hand.

Agree, much prefer the action-pose on this one.

It would also make a fine basis for a diorama (squaring off against a Pan O or Combined Army HI perhaps?)

A TAG it already has the "you shall not pass" pose it will need some work, but one could make the TAG in a mid close strike pose frozen in front of the hacker.

I assumed all three of those were due to being a Hacker, but thanks for pointing out the other bits, I'd not spotted them.

Nisse Hacker is the "mystery" PanOceania release. Mayacast got the preview.

It's a nice pose though I still dislike the tactical detritus.

What I need is the Hexa hacker. Not a Nisse.

What really bugs me about it is that they do the most random stuff.

This is another piece of Gecko, for example.

Yeah, what is that? Is it the back of a remote or something... at least tactical rocks are fairly generic.

It is still a cool pose though.

Very nice. Now we're only missing a combination rifle Nisse.

I don't get the hate for the 'tactical whatevers' on bases.
I'd rather have detritus than a rock, the former can at least make sense on any basing style.
