iPad App will be updated beyond the usefulness of the original App. There will be cost for content expansion.
Q: If Survivor A shoots into a zone containing Survivor B, using a 2 damage weapon (i.e. Shotgun), does Survivor B suffer one wound or two? A: Two.
Q: If all the Survivors in play are, in the noisiest zone, inside a building, that has one open door, and one closed door, and there is a group of Zombies outside the building, which (when ignoring doors), taking a path via the closed door, are closer to the Survivors, than taking a path via the open door, do the Zombies take the path via, and stop at, the closed door, or do they go the long route round, via the open door? A: Zombies always go to the shortest clear path leading to the Survivors. In this case, they take the long route to reach their meal.
Q: If a survivor carries two flashlights, can they both be used together to draw 3 cards per search? A: Yes.
Q: Can flashlights be used when searching cars, for example to find both Ma's Shotgun and the Evil Twins in a Pimp Mobile, and if so how does this work with Police cars, do you draw cards two, or three, at a time, and if you draw two, or three, weapons at once can you keep them all? A: Flashlight: Pick one extra card when searching. Police cars: draw cards until you find a weapon, then discard the others. Pimp mobile: contains either Ma’s shotgun or Evil Twins. These effects don’t really interact with each other.
Police car: keep the first weapon you find.
Pimp mobile: pick a pimp mobile weapon at random.
Q: If you spawn fatties, but are out of walkers, do the walkers get an extra turn? A: Yes.
Q: Does the +1 die skill provide +1 die per action or +1 die per weapon? A: +1 die per weapon. This will be corrected soon on the app.
Q:Can your two zones of movement with a car be back and forth? A: Yes.
Question 3b: If so, how many attacks would you make on the figures in the two zones, 1 each for the movement, or 2 in your starting zone and 1 in the drive-through zone? A: 2 in your starting Zone and 1 in the drive-through Zone.
Q: If you have a full inventory and draw a scope or rifle, can you combine it with a scope or rifle already in your inventory without having to drop something else first? A: You have to drop something first.
Q: Similarly, if you have a full inventory and draw a glass bottle or gasoline, can you combine it with a glass bottle or gasoline already in your inventory without having to drop something else first? A: You have to drop something first.
Q: Can car movement be activated more than once per Survivor, on the same turn? A: Yes.
Q: Can 2 sawed off shotguns be reloaded with 1 reload action? A: Yes.
Q: When combining a glass bottle and gasoline, can the molotov be put into your hand immediately or is it a seperate action? A: Answer is P. 12 – it can be equipped.
Q: When using a molotov, do you also get a free reorganization or does it leave you with an empty hand? A: Molotov is a one-use weapon. It leaves your hand empty.
Q: Do discarded cards get removed from the game or put in a discard pile for reshuffling in the event that the equipment deck is empty? A: They get in a discard pile. This pile is reshuffled when the draw pile is empty (note: no Wound, Molotov, Ma’s shotgun or Evil Twins cards in the reshuffled pile)
Q: How does this impact non-weapon cards discarded from police car searches? A: They get reshuffled when the pile is empty.
Q: Are zombie Ahhh cards included or removed from this discard? A: They are included and reshuffled as well.
Q: How do you handle starting equipment when starting with fewer than three survivors (Might Makes Right with 1 or 2 players)? A: Normally. The Survivors) get the starting weapons in a random manner. If there’s only one, he get the whole package (and deserve it).
Q: Can a door be opened even if a zombie is already present in the zone? A: Yes.
Q: If a small group of survivors are all located in one zone in a building and all the entrances have sealed doors (or unopened ones), where do all the zombies go/move towards that have been spawned on the rest of the gameboard not including the building that the survivors populate??? A: They move as if all doors were opened, but stop by closed doors.
Q: Must a crowbar or fireaxe be equipped in hand to use it's ability to open doors or can it be in your three back equipment slots? A: Pg.8. It must be equipped.
Q: Can you open a door while in a car? A: Yes.
Q: If a car enters, exits, or passes through another zone with a car with survivors in it, does the first car roll for damage against those survivors in the other car? (Simply put, is it possible to "run over" players in another car?) A: Yes.
(As a sidenote: the way cars are played rises a lot of questions about intuitiveness and realism. I’ll try to schedule as soon as possible a designer’s note about it. In short: cars were designed as a special movement possibility. Designing a whole bunch of special rules with exceptions would have been too heavy and game-breaking in our point of view).
Q: When all 18 noise tokens are on the board, where does the next one come from? A: If you can’t use extra tokens from another Zombicide game or extra tiles pack, ignore it.
Q Should the extra small Spawn deck be used for the scenarios? A: You may be talking about the “Walk of the Dead” kickstarter special Walkers deck. In that case, this deck was designed for two purposes.
1) Walkers only mission (a.k.a. “Romero mode”). Use the WoD deck instead of the regular deck. It’s deadly fun, you’re warned.
2) As an add-on to the regular deck, to get more Walkers on the board.
Eiher way, using this deck is optionnal but strongly recommended to get a fresh experience about the delightful secrets of Zombie deck building. Expect another designer’s note about it soon. I love the Wod. Really, I do.
Q: Should the extra tray of minis be used? A: Feel free to use it. It’s yours. On the positive side, it will prevent an “instawipe” by zombie-lacking extra activations. On the negative side, there will be more zombies on the board. Oh, wait. Extra zombies? Isn’t it called Zombicide? On a more serious manner, these was added as a stretch goal. Expansions and free stuff we keep in store will put these extra zombies to use if you have them. But in no way these extra zombies shall be mandatory to play. Never.
Q: Regarding the Tough ability, if an extra activation during the 'building population phase' causes a Runner to move one space and attack a Tough survivor, do they shrug off the damage? A: No. the Tough Skill works on the Zombie phase.
Q: Do they shrug off one damage from cars?
A: No
Q: Also, same game round, during the zombies phase, do they also shrug off the first damage, even if they have previously shrugged off 1 damage that game round? A: Tough deflects *only* the first Wound inflicted during the Zombie phase.
Q: The Medic skill could be read that they can heal themselves and another survivor in the same turn. Can a Survivor with the Medic Skill heal either (a) one person per turn, or (b) one survivor PLUS themself per turn? A: One person.
Q: Can a car be searched by the same survivor several times in a turn, or is it several times during a game, but limited to once per survivor per turn as with rooms? A: One Search Action per Survivor and per turn, wherever the Search is made in (car or room).
Q: The new campaign rules state that a survivor that reaches the red zone and successfully completes a mission may keep one piece of equipment for starting the next mission. Does this include the Pimp-mobile weapons (Ma's Shotgun and Evil Twins)? A: Yes. Enjoy.
Q: If so, how are Pimp-mobile weapons distributed in future missions if there are more Pimp-mobiles than such weapons remaining? A: Normally. When there are no more, there are no more.
Q: Can a slippery survivor get into a car with a zombie in the same zone? A: No. No interaction between effects. anyway, getting into a car isn’t considered a Move Action.
Q: Can a survivor get out of a car if there is a zombie in the car's zone (whether the survivor is slippery or otherwise)? A: Yes.
Q: In missions where you can gain survivors at random during the mission (e.g. "Might Makes Right" and "The Skyscraper" from the "Switch City" campaign), what do you do if you gain a character with a "Starts with a..." blue-level ability and there are none of that weapon left in the item deck (because some are in the discard pile and/or they are already being used by other survivors)? A: Whatever the case, you can look for the weapon in the draw pile or discard pile alike (so, go to the discard pile first !) Do whatever it takes to get this poor soul the weapon he deserves.
Q: Is there any chance we could get a couple of "Sniper Rifle" promo cards to use when a scope is combined with a rifle, analogous to the Molotov cards that replace bottle and gasoline? (Perhaps they could be included with the expansion...) A: We’ve talked about it several times. No promise, but we’ll do our best.
Q: In scenario 8, there is a door lined up with a crosswalk in the lower right corner. should this be on the lower zone?
A: That door should lead to the Zone containing the police car.
Q: Must a molotov be equipped to be used? A: Yes.
Q: Can you search a car while inside another car? A: Yes.
Q: Can you find gasoline and the bottle in a cop car? A: No. They’re not weapons by themselves.
Q: What about the scope? A: Same answer.
Q: Does the inital card dispersement count as a draw? i.e., does matching set apply if doug draws the pistol? A: No.
Q: What do Zombies do if they are already on the noisiest zone? A: Unless there’s someone in sight, they don’t move.
Q: If you start a scenario in a building, when you break the door to get out, do you spawn zombies in the street zones? A: No.
Q: If Zombies have two equivilent paths to follow to the same group of survivors/sound, but the first move on these paths is the same, do the zombies split? (example: If I have one zombie and I can go left, left, and down, to reach the noisiest group, or left, down, left, do I put two zombies in the left room?) A: No. Splitting occurs when zombies which step to take next to go to their meal.
Q: If Zombies have two overlapping paths to follow to different groups of survivors/sound, do the zombies split? (example: If I have one zombie and there are two noisiest groups, left and left, as well as left, left and down, do I put two zombies in the left room?) A: No.
Q: Can the zombie movement in closed rooms detailed in the downloadable scenario be moved to the rulebook as opposed to the scenario map? A: We’ll discuss about it.
Q: Can scenarios be officially rated for difficulty? A: We’re planning a new way to rate Missions’ difficulty. You’ll know about it soon, with a free downloadable Mission.
Q: Do cars produce noise tokens? A: No.
Q: Does it cost an Action to use the Medic? A: No.
Q: Regarding the Tough skill - the PDF rules state that "The Survivor ignores the first attack he receives every Zombies' turn", does this really mean the first entire attack in the Zombies' turn, or should that say "Zombie's turn"? A: The first Wound he should receive.
Q: Page 7 of the rules, 'Danger Bar and Experience', states that a Survivor reaches Red Danger Level at 44 XP, but the Survivor ID Cards make it look like 43, which is it? A: 43.
Q: Must the flashlight be equipped to gain its benefit? A: No.

Eva
HISTORY
"Skill is a matter of life AND death."
Inspired and gifted, Eva was unsatisfied with her humble life as an accountant. Being part of the rank and file was like being a zombie to her. So, in her spare time, Eva danced, drew, sculpted and even took Japanese fencing lessons. Like everyone else, the zombie invasion changed Eva’s life: acting normal is now a nonsense and she feels more alive than ever. Extroverted and hyperactive, Eva is a messenger between survivors groups. No way she’s going to give up on her old activities: her notebook is full of sketches and that sword sure comes in handy.
SKILLS
Blue / Starts with a katana
Yellow / +1 Action
Orange A / Slippery
Orange B / Swordmaster
Red A / +1 free Combat Action
Red B / +1 to dice roll: Melee
Red C / +1 to dice roll: Ranged
GAMEPLAY
• Eva Duran is the dream Survivor for any player looking for a melee character with a fluid, neat and deadly style. The artist starts with a katana, whose two dice allows to quickly get rid of a zombie crowd. The experience points earned this way, along with what the team finds, then allows to specialize Eva at the Orange Level. You’re dreaming of dual-style katanas? Eva has it with the Swordmaster Skill. Any other melee weapon can do the trick but slightly changes her gameplay: used in pair, axes have less dice but more Damage against fatties. A chainsaw pair... and our graceful wardancer becomes a combine harvester. The Slippery Skill comes for an assassin’s gameplay, preferably with distinct weapons in each hand. In this case, the sub-MG suits this. Whatever the choice you make for her, Eva becomes a mass murderer in endgame.
• Eva Duran is definitely a brawler. Melee is her obvious choice: if you take her along the bushido path, Eva will benefit from a quick and harmonious progression, especially with a katana in each hand. Going for a hybrid way or dropping melee for ranged combat is possible: her progression will be a bit slower but the final result will be the same. Anyway, the inventory is vast enough to hold a pair of katanas, two sub-MG’s and Ma’s Shotgun, so why hold back?
• Eva is a great solo warrior but needs a team if she wants to cope with her two weaknesses. First, her playstyle isn’t really fit to 2-Damage rated weapons. So the artist mostly avoids fatties or leaves them to her more macho teammates. On the other hand, she doesn’t have team-oriented Skills like Born leader or Medic. She’s nevertheless a dream bodyguard and perfectly matches any support-oriented Survivor!
Marvin
HISTORY
"Trust me and you’ll live."
Marvin Redfield’s mother always told her son he was born under a lucky star, that he was promised a great destiny. And she was right: the little boy was gifted with incredible luck. Yet Marvin didn’t ask for anything. Being left in peace was all he wanted. Marvin’s life was turned upside down the day his family was caught in a grisly accident. The boy was extracted from the rubbles without a scratch but was now an orphan.
Years flew by and Marvin became a bodyguard. As if to ward off the past, he used his luck to better protect his fellow Survivors. When the zombie apocalypse came, Marvin was not afraid for himself but for his friends.
Nowadays, Marvin scouts the city trying to save as much people as possible. His legendary luck hasn’t left him and gives him an aura of “redemption angel”: some people pray to him and beg him to find their lost ones amidst the death vortex. Marvin’s still cool: no way he’s going to become some kind of messiah. His dearest wish hasn’t changed since his childhood: all he wants is be left in peace.
SKILLS
Blue / Destiny
Yellow / +1 Action
Orange A / Loud
Orange B / Lucky
Red A / Born leader
Red B / +1 free Combat Action
Red C / +1 to dice roll: Combat
GAMEPLAY
• There’s no bad surprise with Marvin Redfield. Destiny, his starting Skill, allows him to Search without fearing of an unexpected zombie. Equipped with a flashlight, he becomes the one to quickly deliver quality material to the whole team. In this case, everybody wants to keep as close as possible to this bodyguard! At Orange Level, player’s choice of a new Skill is crucial for Marvin’s gameplay: with the Loud Skill, he becomes a great controller and can guide tides of zombies for the greater good. Lucky, he becomes a good fighter able to efficiently use luck-oriented weapons (chainsaw, sawed-off, sub-MG). Red Level’s Skill choice is made according to the needs. In an extended team, Born leader allows a fellow Survivor to get away from a sticky situation with increased chances. The free Combat Action and the bonus to dice rolls really make Marvin a great fighter, according to his endgame arsenal.
• Marvin Redfield’s first game turns are mainly for Searching, so he finds good equipment for his allies and himself. Afterwards, the Destiny Skill is recommended for Search-oriented missions (finding some food, creating a Molotov, etc.) As aforementioned, Orange Level’s Skill choice has a great influence on Marvin’s abilities. Better choose Luck in a tight or veteran team and use the best from tricky weapons. In extended group or rookie team with noise management, the Loud Skill makes a difference. Whatever his Danger Level, Marvin can really act as an altruist Survivor and succeed all along. This last point mainly relies on the weapons he keeps in his inventory.
• Marvin Redfield is a cohesive team’s pillar, where his legendary luck makes him a great ally. Giving him a flashlight is a basic good practice to makes the best of his Destiny Skill. Afterwards, a smart team will leave him have a chainsaw and/or a pair of sub-MG : he’s the best at using them at full potential. Marvin’s only weakness is his slowed experience gain compared to combat specialists. Time spent to search and distribute equipment is not spent to earn some precious XP! In this case, courtesy asks to let him take the objectives and use Molotov cocktails to catch up any delay he could have in experience.
Information from Kickstarter (which is over)
Spoiler:
Zombicide is a collaborative game for 1 to 6 players developed by Guillotine Games and published by CoolMiniOrNot. A game lasts for 20min (beginner board) to 3 hours (expert board).
Each player controls from one (for 6 players) to four (solo game) "survivors", human beings in a zombie-infested town. In fact, "survivors" hastily change to "hunters" to smash zombies through and through. However, the team must constantly keep the balance between survival and slaughter: as the zombicide's going on, the "Danger level" is going up and infected are growing in numbers. Any misstep can turn to disaster.
Zombicide is a fun and easy game with cool minis in an archetypical, popular and comics-inspired environment. Ambiance is constantly kept between "beat'em up" and "survival horror" as characters keep on turning from preys to predators. Humor and gloom happily marry in a zombie-fest.
They started a Kickstarter for it to drive down production cost and increase the first print run size. They were pleasantly suprised to get eh game 900+% funded and they have throwing in all kinds of Exclusive game extras every 100% of the funding

Get them to watch Walking Dead and they'll be itching to kill some Zombies
I'll admit that I initially was interested in Zombicide solely for the miniatures for use in other games. After getting more into it, I'm convinced it the second coming of HeroQuestlike goodness.
This game is responsible for me joining Kickstarter. I just contributed last night and really hope they make the $200K mark because I want a zombie Eva figure.
I am in for two reasons. One - I love anything to do with Zombies (except for the Walking Dead, it's a terrible show). Two - I can easily use the zombies and mod them to become Bioshock splicers for my 40k Nurgle Bioshock themed force. Between this and Deep Wars, I am pretty much set for miniatures.
Also, for those interested, the miniatures will be in a hard plastic like the Privateer Press plastic kits, not the crappy soft plastic like other board game miniatures.
I've been watching this one closely. Really like the idea and the models, just hesitating because I know I'll never have time to paint them all and at best I'd probably just play it a couple of times.. hardly any time for gaming lately and when I do get the chance it's usually a game of 40k once every few months
$125US for over 100 models, plus a game, lithograph and a bunch of other extras is a pretty damn good price to pay for a kickstarter to be honest. They're looking at retailing the game for $89US, so even if you were to buy it later it won't be much cheaper.
Wonder if they'll kick the goals up even more now they're getting close to 200k. Every time I look the amount they are raising is shooting upwards.
Really have a strong temptation for this one, just for the bonuses, but I am really trying to figure out if it would ever be played, or just sitting in the corner.
Much for the same reason I never got dreadfleet or the Horus Heresy remake.
Officially, September is the listed date, but they also stated that the timeline was to give some some breathing space for delays. Supporters will get thier games before they start shiping out to retailers, as early as August.
I believe the sentiment was that they would rather have people pleasantly suprised that they got thier game early, instead of an angry mob emailing them if there was an unforseen delay.
Going to wait if anything appears when they hit $200K if it doesn't there is still a good chance I'll get this anyways. Love the modular board, and how that could be enhanced with more tiles in future expansions.
If they do offer a extra goal after $200K it will be the tipping point for me to go and find my card details.
They are aiming for August, but have put September in case of any problems in releasing the game.
They've now hit 200k+ for the kickstarter, and I've upped my pledge to two copies now. For the price I am definitely getting my money's worth. And now a zombie Eva, which is even nicer.
Looking forward to see what their stretch goals past 200k+ is. I'd love some different sculpts for the zombies. More variety is always good to find.
There was another zombie game like this that also did really well, Zpocalypse. So, I've been trying to decide which one I really want. Zpocalypse is already done so I'd have to wait till it's released, but both look real fun. Tough to decide which one I want...
There are 2 sculpts for the runners, 4 sculpts for the walkers, 1 sculpt for the fatties, and 1 sculpt for the Abomination.
Zombicide will be out August/September while Zpocalypse will be out, hopefully, for a Halloween release in Ocotober.
New Add ons to drive up the pledges
Marvin is a bodyguard, shuttling the rich and famous around. Always a professional, he's used to gently deflecting the advances of neglected wives or wealthy widows.... until one of his clients got a little too aggressive and had to be put down! Now he's up to his eyeballs in mother-f***** Zombies!
The game comes with 9 Double sided tiles, with the extra tiles pack you can layout all 18 sides at once
When the pledges reach 240,000 anyone who ordered a Marvin, gets a Zombie Marvin as well
Glad I am getting 2 boxes though. 18 tile massive games should be so damn good.
Now CMON have reached 200k, some more freebies would be nice. New survivors are good and all, but some bonus goodies to show their appreciation would go a long way as well.
I'm still on the fence about the game. I'd definitely go in @ Abomination level, if I did, just to be sure I get all the free stuff. With the huge profits they'll be making, though, I think it's crappy that the 2 promo minis have to be purchased, and even worse that they're $10 a piece. Those cheapo plastic models aren't worth $10 each... I think it's crappy, too, that the $200K and $240K freebies are ONLY for people who shelled out the overpriced amount for the 2 latest promo minis.
I was leaning towards dropping the money on this game but, with this newest shenaniganery, I'm actually sliding back towards undecided.

I would like to see the figures/data that shows the 'huge profits' you assume they will make. I would be willing to bet the profits from this are right along the lines that any game of this type makes, and not huge.
As for 10 bucks a figure, you need to consider you are going to get 2 for that (so 5 each) if you only purchase the ones that come with the zombie figure as well as the character. Add shipping is included (in the US) and the price per becomes more reasonable. Once you factor in payment to the sculptor, mold costs and so forth I think you will find (if you do any research) that 5-10 for a limited edition figure is actually low.

Looks like there are 1664 copies of the game being sold, as of right now... Do the math.
The games don't cost $50 to make, even with the extra models. Even with shipping, it MIGHT hit $60 a game... and that's a VERY generous estimate.
As for the models being 2 for 10... that's ONLY if they reach the second plateau... then, you get the second mode - they haven't reached that plateau for the last modell. Even at $5 each, the cheapo plastic models aren't worth that much.
...and I don't believe any of those are limited edition miniatures. the 2 newest don't say anything about being promo or LE, and the earlier ones all say they're promo models not available in the main box... That doesn't mean they're not going to be available later.
You can get a model sculpted for $300 to $500. If you use the same guy for all of them, you can get a discount. Mold costs for these things won't amount to enough to dent what Kickstarter's raising for them.
They're making a HUGE profit on Kickstarter. Huge.

WOAH WOAH hold on a second... business's are making a profit off their products. I for one am just pissed, PISSED I TELL YOU!!! Seriously who cares if they make a profit as that's kinda the point of business. Coolmini is growing and to do so and put our cool new products they need to be able to profit.
The kickstarter is up to $214k now, so I am betting they'll reach $240k.
And considering each new character they add means another die that needs to be machined in metal for the plastic casts, it adds up really quickly. Metal moulds are not cheap ever for these products.
And considering if you invest $100 you're getting a game plus all the bonus items, and over 100 figures, I am thinking that the cost/benefit ratio works in the buyers favour just as much.
People aren't giving this company money for no return. Kickstarters really are a way to front-load sales from the market to help cover the costs for development and manufacturing. The reason they are doing it is because it helps drive the cost per unit down as they are able to realise a profit from it sooner, and thus also be able to support the game better as time goes on.
In regards to the extra survivors being offered in the Kickstarter, according to the comments being made from CMON, the figures will be available in the kickstarter after a number are made, and any remaining will be sold at various conventions etc. Once they're gone, that's it.
Also, as a guy who runs his own shop, having a cost per item of $60 with a retail sale return of $79-89 is a bad business strategy. If it costs you that much to make you won't be making any money when selling to wholesalers, as they look for at least 50-100% mark-up just so they can make a crust. So your idea of this company suddenly swimming in cash is pretty laughable.

Seriously who cares if they make a profit as that's kinda the point of business. Coolmini is growing and to do so and put our cool new products they need to be able to profit.
No reason to take that direction with it.
I've got no problem with a profit. You should probably take my comments into perspective.
I made a comment that I was seriously considering supporting them until their more recent few "bonuses," and am now having second thoughts, as I see more greed in them than the previous ones. Someone challenged my reasoning, and I answered. It's not like I was just having at them out of the blue. No reason to go on the attack.

If it costs you that much to make you won't be making any money when selling to wholesalers, as they look for at least 50-100% mark-up just so they can make a crust. So your idea of this company suddenly swimming in cash is pretty laughable.
I've worked in enough retail environments to know how pricing and mark up work.
What's laughable is people taking the surface of my comments and presuming the worst. Maybe do the numbers a little before having at me, guys.
Anyone work in the business that they can give SOLID numbers on what it costs to product these things?
I'd be willing to wager that their cost per box is closer to $20 than it is $40. So, if they're selling these things at full MSRP, they are a lot closer to "swimming in cash" than they would be if they simply sold those same boxes @ wholesale. They're getting MSRP+ for these. My guess is that their profits are -at least- somewhere in the 200% to 250% range, even with all the freebies.
COMPARATIVELY SPEAKING, that really is huge.
If it costs them even close to $60 to get the game printed and sent, they are not making that much. They also had development and design costs that cut in, they will get the game distributed to sellers at a lower than retail cost, and so on. When it comes to profit per unit, obviously they do better the more they sell as costs get distributed across a larger run of product, but they are still not close to greedy in my mind. I doubt when it is said and done they hit much more than 15% profit per unit, and would guess it ends up closer to 10%.
Vindicare101 wrote:In terms of the extras, do you buy those after the initial pledge? as i can't see a way to add prior to checking out on amazon?
You do it on Kickstarter. "Manage Your Pledge" button on the Zombicide kicxkstarter main page.
You change the $$ amount you want to pledge, and when the Kickstarter is over you will get a survey on kickstarter asking exactly what rewards you wanted.
Do remember Magick btw that between 6-10% of whatever they end at will go to kickstarter and amazon payments. I just finished preping my kickstarter progect and had to plan around that. Personally I am happy to see this game generating that much buzz and I hope it succeds.
Eva and Martin will not be available for general sale. There will be more produced than there are Kickstarter supporters. The extra copies will be available at conventions, etc.. until they run out. There will only be the single print run, or so I've been told.

Despite my personal issues with the way they're doing the most recent "bonuses," I hope my comments aren't being misconstrued. I definitely hope it succeeds (at this point, it would be a waste NOT to LOL). I understand everything about the fees KS & AP take... I just wish I knew precise numbers, so I could crunch 'em and show a more precise Profit Per Unit on this to explain my displeasure with the *most recent* "bonuses."
I just don't find the right to give them MORE money as being a bonus. "Congratulations! We've done sooo well that we now give you... The opportunity to give us more money."
LOL It's a bit trivialized in that comment, but it gets the general feeling across.
I'm glad this is doing so well!! The bonuses for the $100 backers are pretty sweet... unfortunately, for myself it's just not something that interests me (I CANNOT handle zombies . If the Apocalypse comes, I'm toast...). But seeing how well it's doing gives me hope that other games I am interested in can do well... even 5-10% as well would be amazing for most projects.
I reckon if you have all the extras like extra tiles and extra walkers (+fatties, runners +abomination), not to mention PCs it should be no problem at all. Especially given that you have scenario generators.
Its on $238,368 atm, so nearly at the $240,000 stretch goal.
They posted this
Zombicide Kickstarter wrote:As we go into the last days of this Kickstarter, we'd like to give you two last goals and rewards.
"Eagle" Chaz - A true American Hero! If we hit this stretch, all Abomination and above level pledges get him free! "Eagle" will ship at the same time as the Zombie Promo Survivors (ETA Q2 2013, might be sooner, you never know with the "Eagle"). 1 Eagle per boxed game.
Zombie "Eagle" - Say it ain't so! "Eagle" can't be beaten! Except, perhaps, by the massive Kickstarter hordes! If we hit this stretch, Zombie "Eagle" is free for all Abomination level and above pledges. 1 Zombie "Eagle" per boxed game. Ships at the same time as "Eagle".
$243,371 already achieved, so Chuck here we come !!
While I am awesomely excited about this kickstarter, I am a little dissapointed that the goals went from 20K brackets, to 40K brackets, now 50K brackets with Eagle. I can't see it costing more than 15K to cut a mold and produce 2000 figures, especially if they just put all the exclusive figures on a single mold. Although in their defense, if they kept the brackets 20K they'd already be producing another 4 figures, from scratch for us.
KickTraq has Zombicide currently trending at $289,046, That's a rough prediction based on recent pledges. Most people agree that it by nature doesn't take into consideration of the last minute feeding frenzy that is comon on Kickstarter, and Ebay auctions. Kickstarter notifies people via email to people who click the remind me button, when the last day is here, so you get a lot of people who were on the fence jumping in last minute to grab the cool swag, on successful projects.
in short, the 290k goal for Eagle is pretty doable.
Did I miss something?
I'm looking for something explaining the mechanics of the game. Is there an article or walk-through somewhere that I missed the link for? So far, all I see are pics of the (admittedly NICE) contents.
Anyone have a comparison shot of flying frogs guys from thier zombie shoot em ups with these guys? I see a good looking campaign style baord game in my future by combining all of these guys and adding in a few home rules, XP, and dropped weapons and ammo markers....
Hmmmm.....
WHERE did I put that All Flesh Must Be Eaten stuff?
any comparison shots with the metal guys from other companies out there for size comparison? Possibilities are endless, especially with that batch of minis that looks like Rick and the crew. Then add in that bunch from Megaminis, and Hasslefree.... oooh, yeahs......
I see a whole new game in my future...
Oh... and by the way, when Chuck bites you, you get infected with Norris.

Since I can't watch videos (specifically, I can't HEAR them LOL) from work, is there anywhere that a written/typed version is available?
Mission Goals. Complete the Goals you win the scenario.
Each Survivor has different stats. Essentially bonuses to add to different dice rolls.
Every Zombie you kill earns you an XP. XP are kept track of on the character card with slider. XP bar has colored bands, When you move slider into next color band you gain new abilities.
Making noise places noise counters on board. Shooting and breaking in doors makes noise
Zombies move towards closest Survivor, or noise marker, they see
Each Survivor is unique and customizable.
- The six Survivors are inspired by everyday people and progress to near-demigod status as they gain Danger levels.
- Each Survivor begins with a special skill and progresses through an arborescence of new skills as he/she gains Danger levels. Two players could play the same survivor and choose different paths, different gameplays.
Actions! Each survivor begins with three actions per turn, to spend among some of the following action choices.
- Moving from one zone to the next.
- Opening a door (door-breaking equipment is required)
- Fighting zombies in hand-to-hand or ranged combat (may produce noise)
- Searching for Equipment (draw a random Equipment card)
- Make some noise
- Getting in or out of a car.
Every survivor may gain more actions with Danger levels, to spend among specific actions choices.
Equipment! Survivors may loot very cool stuff while searching secluded spaces or wrecked cars.
- Weapons, hand-to-hand or ranged, including revolver, shotgun, rifle, SMG, axe, machete, katana, chainsaw, etc.
- Some weapons may be used in "dual": both are activated in the same action. We KNOW you"ll love to play a dual-SMG or dual-machete wielding survivor.
- Extra stuff like goalie mask (ignore one wound), scope (+rifle = sniper rifle), extra ammo (rerolls), bottles and gasoline (Molotov cocktail), etc.
- Food equipment may be a mission objective.
- Some Equipment cards are trapped and give way to a minor zombie spawn. Digging in the dirt may be such a thrill!
Surviving! A survivor takes a wound and loses one chosen Equipment card for each zombie in the same zone as his at the beginning of the zombie turn. Two wounds and the survivor's a goner.
Players soon learn that a collaborative team is an efficient but somewhat fragile killing machine.
The "Danger level" defines the game rhythm. A survivor gains experience for each zombie he eliminates and gains new skills as he reaches "Danger levels" defined by colors: blue, yellow, orange and, finally, red. The most experienced survivor sets the "Danger level" for zombie spawns. The more experienced he is, the more zombies will spawn.
Each game turn begins with the "player's turn" then the "zombies' turn". The first player changes at the beginning of each turn. Zombicide is not just for violence, it's also for strategy and planning.
The game is scenario-oriented and victory is achieved through completion of various objectives from finding food to rescuing fellow survivors, including cleaning an infested area and running a car-race through the city. A 20mn tutorial is enough to learn the mechanics and give way to ten scenarios of growing difficulty and intensity. The modular material easily allows players to create their own scenarios.
There are 4 zombie types: Walkers, Runners, Fatties and the Abomination.
- Walkers are the rank-and-file zombies, numerous, stupid and slow. Your average zombie.
- Runners are really fast and really smart. As they play twice per zombie's turn, they're your worst nightmare in close quarters.
- Fatties are hard to kill and come with an escort of two "walkers".
- The Abomination looks like an inexorable and overwhelming fattie. There's only one way to kill it and you need to combine Equipment cards to build the required weapon: a Molotov cocktail!
ZOMBIES ARE PLAYED BY THE GAME ITSELF.
- They move according to the survivors they see and hear. Vision and noise are crucial to confront, avoid or possibly control the zombie horde.
- Zombies enter the board through "zombies spawn zones" defined by the scenario and manholes sketched over the game tiles. Opening the first door of a building also triggers a zombie spawn in each zone of the building.
- The way they spawn is defined by Zombie cards randomly picked from the Zombie deck. Pick one card per Zombie spawn zone. Each zombie card figures four combinations of zombies to put in play, one for each danger level. Pick a card, read the according line, put the zombie minis in play, it's as simple as that.
- Survivors don't freely choose their targets among zombies. The wounding priorities in any targeted zone are: Walkers first, then Fatties (including the Abomination) and, finally, Runners. Yes, runners indirectly benefit from the Fatties "meat shield" effect and consequently are the last to be eliminated. We told you they were smart. You were warned.
Moreover, survivors are priority targets for ranged combat. Never shoot in a zone including a fellow survivor AND zombies, you would kill your friend first. Going in hand-to-hand combat is the only way to help him/her. Will you take the risk?
Anyone have a comparison shot
To the best of my knowledge there are no photos currently floating the web between the Zombicide Prototype figures and any other figures.
Exporing buildings can result in finding new gear or more zombies. Determined by drawing cards.
yeah,
Looking at it again. I'm not sure I'm sold on the actual game. I just want the cool bonus figures.
The map seems to have way too many road crossings.
If the game does turn out a let down, i reckon i'll just make it into my own game. For the price, you get a lot of pretty cool contemporary looking zombies thanks to the stretch goals.
Want to do a 3d board either way. Given that its a modern setting the board should double for infinity too, which is always a bonus!
I believe the cross roads marks the borders of the game grid in the outdoor zones. I thought it was a nifty idea, beats just having lines all over the map boards.
adamsouza wrote:Just found out that the back of the character dashboards are like blank character sheet version of the character dashboards so you can make your own.
Sounds like Photoshop time to me.
That is cool, now all my Hasslefree and other figures can be used too! It just gets better and better!
My female fatty will fit in and Wattie here can get a character card!
I just found out there is a great sampling of the rules HERE on the BoardGameGeek Zombicide Forums, under the rules section. Who would have thought to check there ?
The Mission plans show where Zombies appear at the end of each turn. These are the spawn Zombies. Choose a spawn Zone and draw a card. Place the amount of Zombies which is shown on the card the corresponds to the Danger Levelof the most experienced Survivor still in the game (Blue, yellow, Orange or Red). Repeat this operation for each spawn Zone.
Attention: each Fatty is accompanied by Walkers when it spawns but not when you add to balance a group of Zombies that splits.
NOTE: always begin with the same spawn Zone, then continue clockwise.
EXAMPLE: Wanda has 8 experience points, and is in the Blue Danger Leve. Doug has 12, which puts him in the Yellow. In order to determine how many Zombies appear in the game, read the Yellow line which corresponds to Doug, the most experienced Survivor.
[c]IT'S TIME TO KICK SOME BUTT!
AAAAAH! [BGCOLOR=#CC0000]5x [image of walker][/BGCOLOR]
UH-OH [BGCOLOR=#FF3300]2x [image of runner][/BGCOLOR]
WORSE [BGCOLOR=#FFFF00]2x [image of runner][/BGCOLOR]
BAD [BGCOLOR=#0000FF]0 [/BGCOLOR][/c]
If at least one Survivor has reached the Red Danger Level, read this one [arrow points to [BGCOLOR=#CC0000]red line[/BGCOLOR] on card]. 5 Walkers! Brains ...
If the most experienced Survivor is in the Yellow Danger Level, 2 runners appear when you draw this card.
If all Survivors are still in the Blue Danger Level, read this line [arrow points to [BGCOLOR=#0000FF]blue line[/BGCOLOR] on card]. Phew... nothing.
There are two special cases: the "extra activation" cards and the "manhole" cards. In both cases, no Zombies appear on the designated Zone.
When you reveal an "extra activation" card, all Zombies of the requested type are activated once again (Phase 1 and 2 of the Zombie turn; see above). Notice these cards have no affect on the Blue Danger Level!
[c][can't read name of "extra activation" card]
ALL RUNNERS 1 EXTRA TURN [BGCOLOR=#CC0000][image of 3 runners][/BGCOLOR]
ALL RUNNERS 1 EXTRA TURN [BGCOLOR=#FF3300][image of 3 runnerS][/BGCOLOR]
ALL RUNNERS 1 EXTRA TURN [BGCOLOR=#FFFF00][image of 3 runners][/BGCOLOR]
STILL GOOD (?) [BGCOLOR=#0000FF] [/BGCOLOR][/c]
At the Yellow Danger Level, all Runners are immediately activated. They receive two actions as normal for this activation. [arrows point to [BGCOLOR=#CC0000]red[/BGCOLOR], [BGCOLOR=#FF3300]orange[/BGCOLOR], and [BGCOLOR=#FFFF00]yellow[/BGCOLOR] lines on card]
At the Blue Danger Level, nothing happens. [arrow points to [BGCOLOR=#0000FF]blue line[/BGCOLOR] on card]
When you draw a "manhole" card, no zombie appears on the designated Zone. Instead, place the indicated number and type of zombies in every Zone where a manhole is indicated on the map on every tile where at least a Survivor stands. Manhole invasions never happen on tiles devoid of Survivors.
[c]SEWERS LOCATED ON A TILE WITH AT LEAST ONE CHARACTER WILL SPAWN:
NO! [BGCOLOR=#CC0000]1x [image of runner][/BGCOLOR]
PLEASE! [BGCOLOR=#FF9900]1x [image of fatty] [/BGCOLOR]
ARGH! [BGCOLOR=#FFFF00]2x [image of walker][/BGCOLOR]
OH! [BGCOLOR=#0000FF]1x [image of walker][/BGCOLOR][/c]
The most experienced Survivor reaches the Danger Level Yellow; place 2 Walkers per manhole.
ATTENTION: The Danger Level is set by the Survivor with the highest Danger Level and still in game. If this Survivor is eliminated, the Danger Level drops to that of the next most experienced Survivor.
SO MANY ZOMBIES, SO FEW MINIATURES!
The Zombicide box contains enough Zombies to invade a city. However it is possible that a player draws a card during the Spawn Phase and there are not enough miniatures of the requested Zombie type.
In this case, the remaining Zombies are placed (if there are any) THEN all the Zombies of the requested type gain an extra activation at once.[/o]
Special abilities [o]Born Leader: During the Survivor's turn, he may give one free Action to another Survivor. This Action must be used during the next turn of the recipient; otherwise, it is lost.
Destiny: The Survivor can use this ability once per turn, when he receives a card he drew. Discard that card and draw another one of the same type.
Gunslinger: The Survivor treats all ranged weapons as if they had the Dual symbol.
Hoard: The Survivor can carry one extra equipment card.
Hold your nose: The Survivor can search in any Zone where he killed a Zombie during his turn.
Is that all you've got?: When a Survivor with this skill is wounded, he discards an Equipment card, but does not receive a Wounded card. If he has no Equipment card to discard, or he doesn't want to discard an Equipment card, then he receives Wounded card.
Lock it down: At the cost of one Action, the Survivor can close an open door.
Loud: Once per turn, the Survivor can make a huge amount of Noise! Until the next turn of this Survivor, this Zone is considered having the most Noise tokens on the entire map.
If different Survivors have this ability, only the last one who used it applies its effects.
Lucky: The Survivor can re-roll once all the dice of each Action. The new result takes the place of the previous one. This ability stacks with the effects of other abilities ("1 re-roll per turn" for example) and Equipment that allows re-rolls.
Matching Set: When a Survivor draws a Weapon card with the Dual symbol, he can immediately search for a second card of the same type in the deck of Equipment cards. Shuffle the deck afterwards.
Medic: Once per turn, the Survivor can remove one Wounded card from a Survivor that is in the same Zone as him. He may also heal himself.
Ninja: The Survivor makes no Noise. At all. His presence does not count as a Noise token, and his use of Equipment or Weapons produces no Noise tokens either!
Slippery: The Survivor does not spend extra Actions when he moves through a Zone where there are Zombies.
Sniper: The Survivor chooses freely the targets of all the Ranged Combat actions.
Starts with a [Equipment]: The Survivor begins the game with the shown Equipment. The Equipment card is mandatorily assigned to him before the beginning of the game.
Swordmaster: The Survivor treats all Melee Weapons as if they had the Dual symbol.
Tough: The Survivor ignores the first Wounded card he receives each time he is Wounded.
Trick Shot: When the Survivor is equipped with Dual Ranged Weapons, he can aim at targets that are in different Zones with each Weapon in the same Action.[/o]
Scenario # 00 [o]00 - TUTORIAL
We were with some friends when the first siren began to wail, quickly followed by countless others. In less than an hour, everything changed: the television and the radio announced horrible news. We decided to take shelter at our neighbor's house which was much safer. We just had to cross the street.
But THEY were already there...
You will need the following tiles for this scenario: 1B & 2B.
OBJECTIVE:
- Take the Objective token.
SPECIAL RULES:
- Reduced Zombie deck. Take the Zombie cards numbered 1, 2, 3, 4 and 41 to make the Zombie deck. Put the other ones in the box.
- Special starting equipment. Do not deal the "Pistol", "Axe" and "Crowbar" cards as starting Equipment. Instead, put them at the top of the Equipment deck. They will be the first three cards of the deck when a Survivor searches a Zone.[/o]
Scenario # 01 [o]01 - CITY BLOCKS
Our shelter is safe... for now. Unfortunately our food supplies are not going to last long. We've decided to arm ourselves and go explore the surrounding houses. We cannot come back empty-handed.
You will need the following tiles for this scenario: 2C, 1C, 4B, 5C, 7B, 5D, 6B, 5E & 1B.
OBJECTIVES
- Take all the objective tokens.
- Find at least one Canned Food card, at least one Rice card and at least one Water card.
- Once you have reached the previous Objective, reach the exit area that's shown on the map with at least one Survivor. Gather the Equipment and Survivor that escaped. You win if you have at least one Canned food card, one Rice card and one Water card.
SPECIAL RULES
Each Objective token gives 5 experience points to the Survivor that takes it.[/o]
Scenario # 02 [o]02 - Y-ZONE
The living are losing ground. The pockets of resistance fall one after the other and our CB radio, once bustling with messages, is now silent. We must leave. The zombies are growing in numbers and our supplies are getting scarce.
I could kill for some toothpaste.
You will need the following tiles for this scenario: 4B, 4E, 1B, 7B, 4D, 6B, 3C, 4C & 2C.
OBJECTIVE
Reach the exit zone shown on the plan with at least one Survivor.
SPECIAL RULE
The objective token represents a medicine cabinet. The Survivor who takes it immediately loses a Wounded card.[/o]
Scenario # 03 [o]03 - THE 24HRS RACE OF ZOMBICITY
There's a large rest home in sight. The buildings do not look too damaged and some cars look like they could still run. The supply room must be full.
We immediately understood why the looters hadn't lingered here: the area is swarming with zombies. The previous inhabitants couldn't really put up a fight. Before exploring, we have to put up a fight.
I dream of bubblegum.
You will need the following tiles for this scenario: 2C, 4D, 4B, 5C, 6B, 5F, 1B, 3C & 4E.
OBJECTIVE
Reach the red Danger Level with at least one Survivor.
SPECIAL RULES
- Each Objective token gives 5 experience points to the Survivor who takes it.
- You can use cars.
- You can search a pimp mobile only once. It contains either the Ma's Shotgun or the Evil Twins (choose randomly). Some missions may contain many pimp mobiles. In this case, you can only get the weapons that haven't been obtained yet. When there're no more... there are no more.
- You can search a police car more than once. Draw cards until you find a Weapon. Discard the other cards. The "Aaahh!" cards trigger the appearance of a zombie as usual and interrupt the search.[/o]
Scenario # 04 [o]04 - DRIVE-BY SHOOTING (?)
Our new shelter is not enough ...
zombies just keep coming. We lack sleep ...
are beginning to lose their grip. We ...
must be a nest around here. In the [basement?] ...
near the subway entrance. As long as this ...
isn't neutralized, we'll be continuously attacked.
I could use a new pair of shoes my size.
You will need the following tiles for this scenario: 3C, 4D, 2C, 5F, 4E, 4B, 2B & 5C.
OBJECTIVES
- Take all the objective tokens.
- Once you have reached the previous objective, place the surviving characters on a zombie spawn zone that has no zombies in it (to prevent further spawning).
Scenario # 05 [o]05 - BIG W
Zombies are dangerous but maybe their not the greatest threat. We always have to find new resources: food, weapons, ammo and above all safe shelters. Here we are in the city center, a cemetery of concrete and glass. The big office buildings are infested that's for sure. Here we should find means of survival for a few more days.
Reminder: We must not open more than one door at a time and must not make too much noise or all the zombies of the city will be on us in a few minutes.
I dream of bacon.
You will need the following tiles for this scenario: 5D, 2C, 1C, 7B, 5C, 6B, 5E, 1B & 4B.
OBJECTIVE
Take all the objective tokens.
SPECIAL RULES
Each objective token gives 5 experience points to the Survivor who takes it.[/o]
Scenario # 06 [o]06 - THE ESCAPE
In the first hours of the infection, ...
to the department stores to get food. A big ...
public places were swarmed with zombies.
We've reached one of these stores in the [suburbs?].
Till now, everybody who entered just increased the number of infected.
Today is our turn. We've finished the last of our supplies. We have no choice, but we have experience... and team work.
I need a bigger gun and... cotton swabs.
You will need the following tiles for this scenario: 4C, 2C, 7B, 3C, 1B & 5D.
OBJECTIVES
Accomplish the following tasks in this order:
1. Place six Supply cards under the Car tokens (see the special rules). The Supply cards can be either Canned Food, Rice or Water cards.
2. Get into a car with the surviving characters.
3. Reach the zone that's shown on the plan with the surviving characters in the car. A car that reaches this zone leaves the gameboard with its occupants and the supplies it contains.
SPECIAL RULES
[couldn't read this, but assume it contains at least the following, along with something about placing supply cards on cars]
Scenario # 07 [o]07 - GRINDHOUSE
While everything was collapsing, there was an accident at the nuclear power plant nearby. Before disappearing, the authorities place a large number of the power plant technicians in a wing of the hospital under quarantine.
We must make sure these people are sealed off there forever, especially if they are infected. Why? Because there's worse than a zombie: A radioactive zombie.
I wonder where all the dogs went.
You will need the following tiles for this scenario: 3C, 2C, 2B & 4C.
OBJECTIVE
Neutralize the Zombie spawn zones (see special rules).
SPECIAL RULES
- Each objective token gives 5 experience points to the Survivor who takes it.
- Zombie Exit: Two zones shown on the plan contain three permanent noise counters. These zones represent the exits through which the Zombies might escape. If a Zombie reaches one of these zones, remove it from the gameboard and place it aside. If 4 Zombies leave the gameboard in this way, the game is immediately lost.
- Neutralizing the Zombie spawn zones: A survivor can neutralize a spawn zone in ... zone as him for the cost of one ... zone must contain no Zombie ... Noise token. When a Zombie ... permanent Noise tokens ... game. If four ... lost.[/o]
Scenario # 08 [o]08 - ZOMBIE POLICE (?)
We killed a zombie that happened to be ...
of this town. It was carrying a fax from ...
of police explaining how to reach a safe [house? haven?]...
old underground facility that had been turned into a bunker close to the police station.
Apparently it contains an armory, food supplies and even a shower. This bunker would be the perfect shelter for us. Its entrance however is controlled from a distance and the district is swarming with zombies. This is a dangerous mission but the [gain? game? gamble?] is well worth it.
What doesn't kill you today just might tomorrow.
You will need the following tiles for this scenario: 2C, 7B, 4B, 1B, 5C & 3C.
OBJECTIVE
Place at least one Survivor in the "bunker" zone shown on the plan.
SPECIAL RULES
- The blue door cannot be opened until the blue objective has been taken.
[more special rules that I couldn't read][/o]
Scenario # 09 [o]09 - MIGHT MAKES RIGHT
We've found a shelter and we have enough supplies to feed a small army. There's also a radio and it's still working. Thanks to this we've found another group of survivors in the suburbs of the city. They are defenseless and surrounded by zombies. There's no reason for this to be a trap. United we stand. Let's make new friends.
Found dental floss today. It felt like X-mas.
You will need the following tiles for this scenario: 1B, 2B, 2C & 7B.
OBJECTIVES
- Reveal all the objective tokens.
- Return to the starting area with at least 6 Survivors. A character who's placed on the starting area can leave the gameboard during his game turn. Put him aside with his equipment. You win when 6 Survivors have left the board.
SPECIAL RULES
- Each player begins the game with a single Survivor.
- Four Objectives are victims on the map. Three of them are "neutral" with identical sides. The fourth is "marked" with a standard recto and blue verso. Place the counters face down and randomly so no one knows where the marked counter is.
- Each objective token gives 5 experience points to the Survivor who takes it. Each time a "neutral" Objective token is taken, the player who owns the Survivor picks a new Survivor randomly (in ... player who gets the token decides). ... is revealed and placed without ... Zone where the Objective token ... be played as normal. ... Objective token doesn't ... still grant 5 experience points.
[more special rules that I couldn't read][/o]
Scenario # 10 [o]10 - SMALL TOWN
Return to basics: We're exploring the surrounding area in wider and wider concentric circles around our hideout. Several weeks have passed since the beginning of the infection and the zombie population peaked. What may apparently seem a routine mission is in truth an ordeal where the smallest mistake could be fatal.
Glad I quit smoking or all this running around would kill me.
You will need the following tiles for this scenario: 7B, 2B, 5B & 5C.
OBJECTIVE
- Take the objective tokens.
SPECIAL RULE
- Each objective token gives 5 experience points to the Survivor who takes it.[/o]

EACH TURN BEGINS WITH:
2 - SURVIVORS GAMETURN ->
(as explained by Ned)
The First Player plays all of his/her survivors, one after the other, in the order of his/her choice. When he/she's done, the next player's turn begins. Play clockwise. Each survivor has 3 actions to spend, chosen in the following list. Unless stated otherwise, each action may be chosen several times.
X - MOVE: Move one zone.
X - SEARCH: Indoor only. Draw a card in the Equipment pile (1 search per turn and per Survivor only)
X - OPEN A DOOR: special equipment or skill required.
X - REORGANIZE INVENTORY: equipment exchange with another survivor (in the same zone) is possible.
X - RANGED COMBAT: equipped ranged weapon required.
X - HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT: equipped hand-to-hand weapon required.
X - GET IN OR GET OUT OF A CAR (if allowed by the scenario).
X - TAKEN AN OBJECTIVE TOKEN OR ACTIVATE AN OBJECT (in the survivor's zone).
X - DO NOTHING (and live with it)
WHEN EVERY PLAYER'S FINISHED:
3 - ZOMBIES GAMETURN ->
(as observed by Josh)
Resolve the following phases in the following order:
1. ATTACK
2. MOVE > > >
- Each zombie favors visible survivors, then noise.
- Choose the shortest way. If needed, split groups and add zombies to make even groups.
3. SPAWN > > >
- Always activate the spawn zones in the same order (play clockwise)
- Danger level chosen = most elevated Danger level among active survivors.
- Fatties come with two walkers.
- No more minis of specified type? All zombies of specified type get an extra turn!
4. END OF GAMETURN ->
- Remove all "Noise" tokens.
- The next player is given the "First Player" token (play clockwise).
! - ZOMBIES ECOLOGY ->
(written down by Amy)
[c]Name Actions Min Dmg Value to Destroy
Walker 1 1
Runner 2 1
Fattie(*) 1 2
Abomination 1 3[/c]
(*) Each Fattie comes with 2 walkers during spawn phase.
[there is another column, but I couldn't get a good image]
* - TARGETING PRIORITY (... by Phil)
Survivor > Walker > Fattie > Runner Abomination counts as a Fattie for targeting purposes
I apologize in advance for being "that guy", but could someone please answer whether the developers/suppliers have mentioned if the survivor add-ons, specifically the Marvin Redfield/Jules Winnfield look-alike survivor, will become available for individual order in the future? Or rather, will they be made available from specific events or simply unavailable all together?
Grot 6 wrote:How much do I get if I pledge 100? do I get everything, as well?
From the first page of the Zombicide Kickstarter
This is what you get at an Abomination ($100) level pledge! •Base game - 71 miniatures etc
•3 Promo Survivors and their Zombie counterparts: 6 miniatures
•4 additional Fatties - 4 miniatures
•6 additional Runners - 6 miniatures
•20 additional Walkers - 20 miniatures
•1 additional Abomination - 1 miniature
•6 custom black dice
•6 glow in the dark dice
•1 T-shirt
You get the same stuff TWICE with a $190 (Survivor) Pledge.
Plastic trackers are now a part of the game, for the kickstarter and beyond.
Eagle if we get to the 290K stretch goal.
Since we're at $288,467 with 3 days to go that shouldn't be a problem, but I didn't include him becuase it hasn't acutally happened yet.
We had these made by the Battlefoam guys to protect the Paint the Town figures, who will get these free to protect their painted stuff. These trays can hold 128 minis, will fit in the Zombicide box with half an inch of space left over for tiles/cards etc. This will fit all Abomination level rewards / stretch goals / optional Survivors with space to spare!
Since we're doing them anyway, we thought some of you out in Kickstarter land might want some. So, if you want to paint your great Zombicide miniatures and still want to transport them around conveniently, this might fit your needs. These trays will be available for sale from Battlefoam later, just that shipping is free within the USA if shipped with your Abomination or above order. Outside the USA, please add $15 per set (sorry, these are bulky). $40 for a set of 2 trays. Just add the appropriate amount to your pledge if you're interested (Manage Pledge, green button on the Zombicide Kickstarter page) and we'll send you a survey after the Kickstarter to confirm your options.
If you care about what plastic Zombicide miniatures are made of, please read this announcement. This question was raised in the comments and has been buried, so this is an important PSA!
The Zombicide miniatures are made of plastic of the some type as Warmachine / Dust Tactics figures, and are about as hard as Dust Tactics figs. They have some give so that arms and heads don't break off while playing or storing figures but still retain beautiful detail. There are many painting tutorials online for painting this type of figure.
They are not made of the same material as Games Workshop figures. All these different plastic materials can be painted up just fine and look great.
So, if you have a preference for only GW style hard styrene figures, please make sure you still want to continue with your pledge! The game is great and the miniatures beautiful but they are not styrene.
Wow... looks like "Zombie Eagle" is going to happen, too.
The six survivors that come with the game don't have zombie versions, right? Are the zombie versions of the promo survivors (six "normal" and six "zombie", assuming there's a normal and zombie chuck) playable? It mentions they are, but I don't understand why the survivors that come with the game wouldn't need zombie versions then.
The Ray card was Fan made. I posted it because we were discussing that the character dashboards have backs that are set up for you to fill in your own, and someone made Ray already. I think Hasslefree makes a suitable model for Ray.

The zombie versions of the survivors come into play in the first Zombicide expansion, due out next year. I expect to find zombie versions of the original six in that expansion.
My concern on this one is gameplay. Sure, it's full of nice pieces and cool art...but is the game itself actually going to be any good? They've been kind of reluctant to post the rules, usually a big warning flag for me...

And now over the $340,000 mark so zombie eagle as well. Interested to see if they put up another stretch goal. So tempted to go halves with a friend on this.
I was about to jump in, but I'm gonna have to bow out.. with 6th ed 40k looming on the horizon, I need to start saving up my pennies for all the "OMG it's limited so buy it from us if you want it at all!!21@" stuff GW is gonna be selling.

This is sadly where I am at right now. Plus I brought into yours already within the last month.
It looks bloody awesome mind, but Aura is pointing out that a) she isn't really into the zombie thing, and b) how Doom, Warcraft and other good looking board games have been sitting on my shelf for over two years with no attempt to play them so far.
It's taxing though, I love the look of it, plus Zombies! so it would have been more likely I'd have tried to get it going. I am watching stretch goals and the like, see if anything pulls me over to the point I can't say no, and it seems they hinted in the comments earlier they maybe thinking up more.
I'm torn. Although I supported Blackwater Gulch right at the death as well.

We can comfortabley assume 6th Edition won't be out for than 6 months. They start advertising it through trades mags to distributors at least that far in advance, and we would have had a confirmation of that by now.
I tried to find the projected ship date for the game, but failed.
The estimated delivery date is listed on every page of the kickstarter under each pledge amount in the bar on the right hand side.
As others have already stated September is the street date, but CMON has already stated they are going to try and get it in the backers hands sooner than that. The September date allows them a safety net for delays.
I don't understand how to get all of that stuff with, when I picked 100 it only discussed 2 sets. When I picked 190. it only mentiones survivor, and no mention of the Bad MF wallet.
theres no mention of chuck in the picks of 190, either.
I pick 190, and theres no choice to pick the other stuff out there.
what am I missing here?
no moneys till I get this right.
Then theres the little shawn/ ray guy. Where do I get that info- card- statlines, again for the things to make my own guys with?
seeing a lot of vaporware here. too good, or is this game already being cast.
What does the plastic look like? are these guys the same kind of plastic as finecrastic, the SDE guys, or rubbery-softcast plastic armymen/ plastic game pieces stuff?
If you look at the main page of the kickstarter there is this blurb:
This is what you get at an Abomination ($100) level pledge!
Base game - 71 miniatures etc 3 Promo Survivors and their Zombie counterparts: 6 miniatures 4 additional Fatties - 4 miniatures 6 additional Runners - 6 miniatures 20 additional Walkers - 20 miniatures 1 additional Abomination - 1 miniature 6 custom black dice 6 glow in the dark dice 1 T-shirt
Total 108 miniatures! Scroll down for details!
Optional stuff
Eva - $10 Marvin - $10 White dice set - $10 Glowing in the dark dice set - $15 (1 set included at Abomination) Duplicate tile set - $20 Battlefoam trays - $40
To add optional items just increase your pledge the appropriate amount, and we'll sort out the details after the Kickstarter ends by sending you a survey.
if someone has already selected a reward its not possible to edit what the text says, so kickstarters put these sort of reward updates in the main text.. or in an update post.
Grot, the 'Bride' and 'Samuel L. Jackson' minis require an additional contribution of $20, not a new reward level. So at $100 Abomination level, you add $20 for Bride and Samuel (along with their zombie versions for free), for a total of $120.
It's explained under the 'You want fries with that?' section of the page.

From the shrouded mists of ancient feudal Japan emerges the Cardboard Tube Samurai, itching to test his legendary weapon and skills against the undead hordes. Will the hero fall to a foe that is as implacable as he?
This is the official Penny Arcade Cardboard Tube Samurai: Zombicide edition, and his counterpart, the Zombie Cardboard Tube Samurai. If we hit this stretch, everyone who pledges Abomination and above ($100) will receive a both versions for each boxed game! Ships together with the Zombie Promo Survivors (est Q2 2013).
The Samurai and his Zombie self will also be available at future PAX events. So you know, no pressure.
Here's the concept that will go for sculpting if we hit our goal!
As i dont know what this is, i couldnt care less tbh.
I have been seriously thinking about dropping the $100 for this game for the past 2 days, and I think the inclusion of the Chuck figure might make me finally do it...
CptJake wrote:I suspect they will want to ship a complete order (single pledge) to a single address...
Otherwise they would lose their asses on shipping. The consolodated shipping is why multiple copies are cheaper.
I'm happy to say that this is incorrect. We inquired and, so long as both addresses are in the US, they're happy to let multiple people piggy-back on one order and ship the games (and extras) to separate addresses.
It turns out that multiple copies are cheaper because, as stated earlier, the more copies they print, the cheaper their costs are per unit.
Grot 6 wrote:any close ups of the painted minis?
The only painted minis will be for the really high dollar donations, and those won't be done for a bit, i'd imagine.

That is great news for folks!
I admit I am surprised.
As Eric pointed out earlier they are selling these at above retail and they are designed to be profitable when they sell them at wholesale. At 2122% of the original goal of funding we must have driven down the cost per unit a considerable amount for them. The difference between a 1 box pledge and a multiple box pledge is only a $10 difference. I don't think they are sweating the small stuff at this point.
People are already taking about a stretch goal beyond the 450K mark....
Be sure to pimp this game to all your online friends in the next 48 hours
I pledged $120.00 to get abomination + Eva and Martin. $6000 at the moment until Cardboard Tube Samurai unlocks. That's the one I really want at the moment. Then again I have been saying that on each one except Chuck Norris.

Yeah, I was expecting something really cool for $500,000 or above, not some additions to extras. (not really interested in getting either of them, too. Though I might have to get Marvin...)
It's basically like getting an 18 figure Limited Edition Expansion for $40. 9 addtional survivors (Nick, Cholo, Dave, Eagle, Eva, Martin, TCS, Ivy, and Claudia) and their 9 zombie counterparts

And to make matters worse, we're not trending to hit that last goal!
Hoping someone near me gets this now... getting more interested the more I look at it!
I think it'll hit that last goal- there tends to be a spike the last day as people who have watched it get reminders that there's only a day left (I think). It certainly happened for Brushfire's.
I don't think the last two survivors were so much movie inspired as they were just ideas they already had ready.

All the kicktracking software is really bad at predicting the mad rush of people jumping on in the last 48 hours, once they get their last call emails.
The last goal is 550k and we're already $525,376 with 37 hours to go.
Limited Edition. Single run of the figures for the Kickstarter. The left over figures will be available at Conventions, etc.. but will not be in stores or available for general sale.
I'm in for the game and all the extra minis. I've spent $300 on less than 20 models from GW, I have no problem spending $140 to get over 100 minis as well as an entire board game to play. I am as excited to play Zombicide as I am to use my new zombie horde in a army list I dreamed of since reading about Horus and that moon of Davin...
Okies those two female survivors have almost got me. Will be watching as it rolls into the final day, as they are looking to hit that $550K goal at some point today.
Currently $160 from the $550k goal, so that's pretty much a done deal. I wonder if they'll include more goals, even if they said the $550k was their last one.
I am a complete n00b at this... so let me get this straight.
I pledge $100, and I get a whole heap of stuff. I then add $40 for the extra four survivors... and then $20 for another set of tiles. Do I also add in shipping on top of that, or will they charge me after the fact (once it's all said and done)?
[EDIT]: Ok wait I found it. So... $185 will get me the Abomination pack, plus the four extra survivors (and their zombie dopplegangers), plus another set of tiles, plus shipping.
Have I mentioned how much I hate limited edition miniatures? Especially limited edition miniatures that are only available on a single weekend? I'd love to get my hands on Claudia, but when they don't accept Paypal and won't sell me the model any time after Sunday, that's apparently not an option.
I recently sent a USPS Medium Flat Rate box to Australia for a buddy. It cost me $50 USD to do so. I doubt free overseas shipping is gonna happen... If they are shipping it now for $25 they are already subsidizing half the cost (at least) in some cases.
Yeah I don't think free shipping will go ahead to be honest.
I would like some additional sculpts, but I don't know if there is much chance of that happening. I am glad with what I have got thus far I have to be honest.

Jake
I've done this, too- however, the flat rate box ends up being about double what it would cost to send a non-flat rate box of about the same size and normal weight. (i.e., $25-ish...)
Moral of the story- do not ship internationally using Flat Rate boxes, unless you are really, Really in need of being absolutely sure about it. I don't really know if it even gets handled differently... I'd assume yes, but it's not $25 different!
With what I shipped, the weight would have made it more expensive IF I kept priority mail. I could have gone a slower/cheaper method but needed the priority service for various reasons.
I want those survivor types. hope they are compatible with Last Night On Earths figs. maybe add both games together, make up some cardstocks for the others.....
Still going to get my others guys, just going to have to be a little laters.

Well they're both 28mm. I'd would think there wont be too much of a difference since they dont look like they use GW silly proportions but there could be slight differences like chunkiness and stuff
The female walkers will look so good as dressed up Spider Splicers once I get through with them. The others will be co-opted to other roles.
I am hoping hoping hoping that the next incarnation of the Chaos codex will allow zombies for Nurgle themed lists. It will make all my dreams come true. If not, well, I'll make them anyway as renegade guard
Zombicide wrote:Project Update #42: I've got a little present for you....
Kinda an understatement, but we really never expected to be here. And not to fret, if we don't hit this stretch, Troy will definitely come out to play in the expansion!
Troy, stalwart defender against the Zombie hordes! Hero to all! At least, in his own mind.... Why won't that scratch on his right hand heal though....
If we hit this stretch, everyone who pledged Abomination ($100) and above will get Troy and Zombie Troy! Ships together with the Zombie Promo Survivors (ETA Q2 2013).
This is our final, honest to god, cross our hearts and hope to die, stretch! Thank you everyone for your enormous support! From both the CMON and GG teams, we are incredibly grateful!
This is so damned awesome when the community puts this much energy into a project! I love it when people get to go well above and beyond what they hoped they could do.
Thanks to Fenriswulf's help, I'll be able to get Claudia when she comes out. The backers have been making a bunch of suggestions for alternate weapons to avoid doubling up, so hopefully they'll either stick with the chainsaw or go with something equally awesome like the concrete saw, P-90 or M-60.
In for $140 for the abomination level + the limited figs. This will be fun to play at board game night with my friends. Welcome change from good old Scrabble, Risk, Dominion, Settlers of Catan. We really enjoyed Super Dungeon Explore.
Well, I put in my $100 earlier tonight, and it looks like it's now up to $680,000. Should easily hit the $700k mark. Boy am I glad that I talked my wife into letting me put in on this
This is my first kickstarter, So in two hOurs the take an average of $165 from each of us.
The people organising this then take the money less KS fee and are then supposed to forfill the orders. What is to stop them from just taking the money.
Don't get me wrong I'm not pointing fingers or suggesting anything, but am just wondering how KS guarantees (or not?) delivery. I'm happy with my CC protection but am curious of how this works?

I'm sure there are safeguards in place (plus the money doesn't get taken automatically from what I've read). But more importantly, this is Cool-Mini-or-Not. If they did just take the money what would happen to them as a business. Their own reputation rides on this sort've thing.
The money gets taken once a Kickstarter ends and the project has reached its goal. As this one ends in a few hours and has reached 3500% of their goal, the money should be taken soon.
Kickstarter only guarantees that the project gets funded. But as HMBC said, this is CMON, so nothing to worry about.
Ogre still has plenty of days to go, so it can still go over Zombicide. Too bad their overseas shipping is ludicrous ($90+) or I'm sure they would have gotten a lot more european KS sales. Oh well, I guess I can pick up a copy once it has made its way to local retailers.
Perhaps we should have a dakka zombicide meet where we combine the tiles and models of every [insert nation here]'s dakka members for a single, massive game
I changed my pledge to $275 so that I can get two sets (combining with a friend). I had to put another Amazon charge through... I'll only get charged once right, the $275 and not the $185 I put through originally?

It looks almost certain we will make it to $750,000, at $737,395 now with 2 hours to go! It would be cool if they did an ultimate $800,000 goal, but I don't think they will with 2 hours.

I think the police officer is the guy from The Walking Dead (anyone know his name?), and Dave the Geek is Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory. Other than that, I don't know any of the others.
Looks like it will at least get over 750K... it's at $744K with 2 hours to go still.
I haven't bitten yet- my friends and I want to wait and see what the gameplay is like. Tons of them got Super Dungeon Explore, and while awesome, the gameplay wasn't quite what we'd hoped for... so it makes sense to wait and see how this plays, in my case.
I've been flip-flopping on how far to commit... now I'm at 2 copies with 2 each of all promo minis. It was Ash that put me over the edge to get a second set. Groovy.
Tossed in an extra $10 for Eva, so she has a mini of her own. I also just noticed that we'll be getting good old Chuck for free with our abomination deal. Niiiiiice!
It really is! I think I am going to have to put a moratorium on my own Kickstarter purchases... but it is really cool to be a part of something closer to the ground level, and not only get a cool product out of it, but help it to launch.
I was thinking of ways of painting the models while walking into town - was thinking of masking the bases before painting so that the original survivor base colour still shows through
Yeah, it goes pretty much as soon as the Kickstarter is finished. Just suddenly hoping I didn't balls up and I did have $165 down for the lot. 99% sure, but that rogue percent will trouble me a couple of times until I can get home after work and check my emails.

The email I got from Zombicide seems to suggest that if you missed anything out, you can adjust your funding levels later on.
