At any rate the wolf cannon in MC is highly impractical because it requires the user to run at whatever it is going to be shot at.
Did I forget to mention, that because they wolves are hostile the home in on you instead of anything else? thats my main problem. Its like having an artillery battery that has your coordinates permanently where ever you go...it is OrkTek approved, shall I say.

Well I went back on today and made more work on my castle. I found an npc village near it, nobody take it please, I want to build a wall around my castle and the village. Gotta protect my serfs
Editing this episode is rather hard, and will be stretched out over a few episodes. It was good fun though, even with this pain in the behind editing. Should upload the video tomorrow.
I'm seriously considering replacing my glass panels with colored wool in my sheep farm, cause more are escaping. Not that I think this will matter if it's caused by people letting them out of their pens.

Well, i cant distinguish my own, for reals. I heard myself the other day on our answering machine and actually thought to myself " Who's this weirdo?" before i realised it was me...
well Im probably done again. dropped into a cave with a damn spider mob spawner, died. went back in and died 3 more times, then I went back with weapons and all the mobs were gone, and as I was walking to my stuff in despawned 2 blocks away from me.

You need to have someone in the same area if you're talking about taking them through a portal as if there is no one with that chunk loaded it does nothing. If they get stuck sitting the person can also hurt them to force them out of sitting and warp; this is best done with the fishing rod as it does no damage but still acts as if it had.
Okay, i'm going to have to teach someone how to fix the redstone circuit for the SCDF building, because if i'm not on and the golem escapes due to someone flooding or breaking the circuit and being unable to fix it...
Who is usually on a lot and able to access Suburbia quickly?
If you flood the circuit, you'd have to deliberately mine directly under the SCDF building. If you manage to somehow do so without meaning to, just block up the exit with dirt or something until someone can come along and fix it.
I've already found one, though I can't recall the exact co-ordinates, so it might take a while finding it again. Next time I'm on, I'll have a look for it.
Cut a hole through a mountain with a pick or tnt and then make a base in it. Remember its about survival not the looks! Make a stone or dirt house for a wall then add wood, stone, brick and keep going till you feel safe.

I'm using the Technic SSP currently and even with all these new toys and such I find myself still paying base MC but utilising some aspects (the chest and tool that auto repairs tools being the main one).
It's real hard to find diamonds though, I need another 9 to actually start on some proper Technic stuff.
Maybe I shall grab a few screenshots of my current "lair" next time I'm playing MC.

Decided to start playin Mc again, but Ill do the screenshots later.
Anyway, go for dome diamond/resource hunting when mister creeper decides to drop down on me, the usual. Sadly in this exchange I somehow managed to hit Q and throw my Diamond Pickaxe straight towards mister creeper as he explodes, thus destroying my only diamond pickaxe... Safe to say im annoyed, my leather armour was hardly touched.... which I find odd.
I'm completely enveloped by the Technic pack. Currently trying to make a start to finish auto mine, Quarry leading to individual Macerators for each ore leading to Electro forges to smelt and then into a chest. I've seen it done but havent quite gotten it down yet. WAY to many diamonds needed.
Good idea though if your short on diamonds is to start with the Equivalent Exchange mod, that will make everything else easier.

aye, though no time is set as of yet. Maybe just whenever lots of people are on (We need at least 6 for a game). Bring cobble and leather/leather armour.
There's also (I think) wolf's pyramid close by, as well as some other wierd structures which may include your place, but I haven't explored any. Also guys, bring wool/beds, especially white wool.
I think there was already a party planned for by the suburbs, but maybe we can chill/wait for other players at your place before we begin. I think either record with skype on or just record and put some epic music to it

though as it is in the week, I'm pondering having a second party on the saturday, too. Depends on the turnout for this party, I suppose.
What I thought was that we would have some sort of party at one of the many party venues people have built, and then play castle defence. Or the other way around.
Also, just had an idea, we could use the dueling arena to stage dules.
Last night, about 1pm GMT, I logged onto minecraft, and entered suburbia. I found 3 zombie mobs, a skeleton mob and a creeper. All were destroyed without damage to area. However, I also found that 3 roads were blocked off, and my chest in my house had been ransacked and some items removed.
I have started fixing the melon farm. I was half way done and then the server shut down. I will finish the repairs once it is back up.
The melons were all still there, (Until I harvested them for seeds for the repairs) but some of the plants were gone. It looks like the work of escaped animals to me.
Okay, so I'll be doing coursework most of this evening to meet a deadline tomorrow, so PM me/skype me when it's about to start, I don't have enough free time to wait around on MC.
I personally think the party should be on the weekend, I won't be on until 9pm tonight and I have school tomorrow anyway, I think a Friday suits well for school-going people like me, but I won't be on until half nine at night.
@shrike, I am scheduling my videos for Thursdays and Saturdays, so expect one video tonight. Happy? Good.
Yeah, sorry about the mess. In an attempt to move our animals they all escaped in the process. We attempted to quarantine the area to try and contain the escaped animals. It didn't work. Hence the animals in peoples house and the trampled melons. I apologize for the mess we caused and we tried to fix it as much as possible. Any-who, Dem and I have since relocated and anything we have left behind is free game. Our storage area is at the bottom of our farm and anything inside is free. We left quite a lot of things behind.

Well the Wolves liked my tale of heroism and battle.
I have a question, anyone know how you download texture packs? i keep trying (and saving them in the .minecraft folder) and i cant use anything as (for lack of a better word) a "hook" for the game to get the texture packs data from. I am using WinRAR for this.
Just put the zip in the texture pack folder, easy to get to it in MC, but if you have windows you can find it by going to %appdata% then to the .minecraft folder in roaming. You'll also find where your screen shots go in that folder.

Speaking of single player, I recently started a new single player game, and found that it's surprisingly harder than it used to be due to the hunger requirements.
I founded a chicken farm which itself has a wheat farm on top of it so that I can breed more if the eggs are going slow, heh.
About to go online now -- my Skype is sturrock_laptop, although my connection is so rubbish that it's quite possible it will not support the combination of a decent Skype call and a decent MC connection at the same time!

I have also found a large amount of stuff. Shrike and any volunteers my castle is only accessible in two ways. Then go to Shriken village then towards the jungle you will see a dirt tower. right next to it is the spider spawner, the wood blocking an entrance is the way to the giant canyon/tunnel system. I have yet to explore it fully.
