I have no idea why there is a black screen for about a minute in my video. Its something sony vegas does from time to time.

Well today sucked. I lost my level 37 item pick axe and my level 20 sword :( Tis a sad day. And this is why i hate it when the game randomly lags when I am digging and i fall into a pit of lava to avoid a creeper....

Coolyo, your tower in Suburbia looks like a piece of dog doo. Seriously though, from the outside it looks hideous. Please can you either switch it to smoothstone or circlestone, or lower it. Preferably lower it, because your rival got kicked off the server.

Abso, you're a good guy, but I think you're the only one aware of any tower building competition. I can't speak for coolyo or anyone else, but my plan from the start was to build a tower that resembled the one at my base.
Besides, there're a fair amount of structures well bellow the 30 block "limit" that could be spruced up to say the least.
Well to be honest, Coolyo's tower defies the block limit, and is just a mix of cobble and tree, hardly attractive. Other buildings are actually quite attractive.
well, after decideing to go back to basics and be the desert coot (of harad ) I have another house, god it was hard to build.
Of course, I did use some old things I didn't need, lapis + books.
So, on to making it live-able.

That's a chunk that hasn't been generated yet, it can happen like that if people managed to explore around it but don't actually walk close to that chunk. You can see all the other ungenerated chunks on the right side of the map.

Thats Diacom that was me, Comrade, Diamondman (Never of which have been online.), and ERhammer who refuses to go back onto minecraft after I told him not to build something in my town. Which he did. It is my old home town. It kinda sucks compared to what I did before. I had a running cobblestone generator which I had to take apart and bring over with me. The design i can build for people. It is quite easy to build and very effective at what it does. That is the Storm District it is quite ugly I know but I didn't plan it well. You should of seen the giant cobblestone tower we had there because my friend stinks at building. So I got rid of it. the wool can be taken though! The wool is ugly and was actually placed for future things to do. Like place stonebrick here. Etc.
Otherwise That area is uninhabited there is a melon farm, and very large wheat farm in three places. It also has the largest sugar cane area XD At least 295 sugar cane patches. so times that by 2 and you got enough. I will be returning to that place to pick-up the rest of my things in the underside of the castle.
Ah, right. I just thought it (to be brutally honest) looked like gak might just be the view, but it looks like a random and unplanned sprawling mass of cobble and wool roughly shoved together in chunks

Did you have that wierd glitch where all of sudden the floor disappears and you fall into lava?
Nope jumped off of Chowder's dive board landed in the water then walked off, timed out and when I reconnected I fell through the air and landed on the ground losing the iron to that but getting back the rest. Then when I was leaving a creeper explosion on the opposite side of the house killed me and I was unable to get back anything what so ever.

As long as he doesnt make something massive near it, it should be fine. When I finally add the other castle towers and probably up the side of the walls I want to be able to look over my land and not see any massive towers etc. Also, anyone want to help my castle not look like crap Seeing it on the world viewer makes it look so plain and boring
Ah crap. I lost everything while i was building in the nether. a Ghast and 7 pigmen. Even after I didn't agitate them! I mean its fine i went back to pick up my stuff but no. I get killed over. And over. And over again. Even when i brought armor. Because the area remains hostile and all the creatures that I thought dead. ARE ALL BAck.
What I lost 2 entire iron armor sets. I was returning back from the dakka trade post because it is quicker to go the other way. I was home free and then a ghast missed destoryed the stairs and it agroed the pigmen and they all killed me. and my diamonds that i just got were destroyed.... Feth me I need to fix it but it is so dangerous to do it by myself especially with no weapons and armor left.
Plus I wouldn't mind it if it didn't happen like once. This has happened twice this week. I am not going to play minecraft for a bit. I am just damn unlucky right now. Now anyone have anything I can kill or go on a murderous rampage upon?

I never said it looked bad, just that they should have made a plot and put it on that plot instead of running along the road edge and extends onto another potential plot

So some friends and I were discussing Minecraft today.
We have determined that the Endermen stole all of the melon seeds on the surface to hide them in their underground Mines and move blocks at night to try and find some more.

As to why I'm letting you all loose on it is that I tend to find MC servers a bit too "crowded". Its usually tough to get all the decent stuff without colliding with somebody. The only way to make it feel less crowded is to run say over 9000 meters in one direction without dying, not a fan of that. Servers for me will now be my own 2/3 man server maybe 5 at a push. Good luck getting to the chests 1st!
You can still manage to get decent stuff without going too far out. Just look at the map and you'll be able to see the pattern of where everyone is going, since it only goes out roughly 2k blocks or so it should give a decent indication of where the less crowded areas are.
You know what we should do with one portal? WE should build an underground portal and put netherrack all over the place and cover up everything in netherrack and soul sand so when some comes through that portal they will get super confused. That reminds me I have enough land to do that.

A massive spire with extensive greifer defences. The egg wasn't essential, just wanted it for the entire theme of the building. Anyway it's far from completetion and it would be just about on the map, I would get a vote going for where the egg would stay when it's completed.

If your building a spire, how about a big diamond star, would look far more impressive in a central hall.

I got an entire miningshaft dude. Which has 6 cave spider spawners. Thats good enough. But I can't do that I am kinda busy building the roads and such.

the server reset back when dark wiped the map and big stuff got copied over, and just because a combination of exams, coursework, not knowing how to get round the new nether system (which I thought one of the main ideas behind which was to put signs up?), skyrim/fallout, 40k and how most of the guys I normally build with hadn't been going on much (corpses, wolf, frenchyvinnie).
if anyone wants I want people to come make their own rooms and such in my castle, Im not good enough at MC building beautification (lookin at your chapel thing Abso, among other things I found while walkin) and the more the merrier

I need about 20 full large chests for the end project of smooth stone, I can't trade much other than stacks of melon bits. I only started yesterday and my 22x22 Melon farm is all I have. 160 Melon plants.
I'm also needing glowstone and lots of wood but my tree farm will be running soon so that is fine.
I'm just not sure how easy it is to aquire glowstone in the nether, well in this world anyway.
...that is a lot of smoothstone. Or about 2 full chests of coal. I don't have nearly enough.
I suggest building a cobblestone generator and using charcoal. Best of luck.
Also, glowstone isn't too difficult to acquire, but it depends on how much you need. I can usually get 2 stacks fairly quickly once I find an open place in the nether.

Pretty much every NPC village has been claimed, so unless you find a newly generated one, you won't get one. You'll need to go a long way to find a new village at this stage on this map.
Also, why is there a giant Blastoise on the server? I was hoping our dakka server wouldn't turn into every other server Ive been on (aka: full of random poke/digi mon things and other random 'portraits' of characters)
The second one, the underwater one, is EPIC. And deserves an internet.

Unless I'm mistaken it's always been that small. While a few blocks may have been taken, it doesn't look like a large amount have been taken. The path leading off it was someone's extension, not where more of the End used to be.

Considering the only way into there is via a not-so-secret yet private path through the nether, I didn't think it needed signs.

I tried to find a spot in the middle of the water both because nobody builds there, but also because I didn't want the shadow of the Eldar Craftisland spawning mobs underneath.
I'm unsure if Grundz has plans of expanding his place all the way across the ocean, but he has quite some distance to go.
Regardless, I won't expand in the directional line of Grundz's expansion if there is a problem.

So, what you are saying is, if you take that area, I get nothing from janje after him saying that 4oursword, you and I get a share. You wanted the woodamid, you got it. and if 4oursword got something from janje, I inherit his stuff because he gave his stuff to me. I definitely remember you saying that you wanted the woodamid but nothing else. In case you hadn't noticed it is broken.
As there've been a lot of requests of "Who owns/built this place" etc etc, can I remind you to place signs on your (non-secret) builds. If you place a sign with your name on it, people know who to contact if they want to ask you about it or notify you of creeper damage etc etc.
Finally if you put a ~ in the sign text, it appears on the map! For even easier identification (and showing off).
Would I be correct in assuming that those signs would work even underground, just in case you don't want the sign people see to look ugly with a random tilde in the title?

if you need a started package just ask, I've got plenty of spare reasorces, including obby for a nether portal to get you linked in.
What kind of resources? The tree farm and food farms at spawn are public, as is the cobble generator (although it might need a sign so you know what it is).
If it's iron/gold/diamond etc, you'll find that happens on most servers...
