I know this might be difficult to orchestrate... but you should make the heads available either as a set or individually. That way if I wanted to have a single squad to have a certain look... I could buy a "set" of 5-heads that all looked the same. I say this because I can see at least 4 different "races" or codecii in those helmets up there. Eldar, tau, space wolves and chaos marines (not including the pharaoh head which is really cool but doesn't "fit" quite as easily into a category). You might get a lot more sales if people could pick the helmet they wanted & buy multiples of it. I think that jackal head would be such an awesome item to base a Luna Wolves army around... choice man, just choice.

I agree with Gitsplitta on this one, its probably the main reason i havent purchased heads from anyone, usually only want 1 certain head style, which I understand is probably not cost effective for the maker ... but i would buy a ton

I'd also like this. Either with no insignia at all, or with a blank raised plate of some sort to which a number or decal of our own can be added.
I'd even like to see more subtle variations of this one, maybe with tear lines under the eyes. I don't know what those are properly called.

No, yes, yes, yes, no. The problem with these helmets it that there is too much variety! Each helmet seems to have its own unique style. What I would like to see would be a set of 5 of each variation, they all have huge potential but I can see plenty of possibilities for more helmets, ie bird styles to go along with the jackal and different faces for the "death mask" style. Just my humble opinion!

Post by: TzeentchNet
-- Yeah, not to be a party pooper but if you can't buy the heads by individual style I'll be passing these by. The heads just look too different and are not cohesive if you get 1 of each. And I simply don't like 2 of them at all.

Still this.
I only want a pack of the Jackal helms, or none at all. I'd buy 20 right now if I can guarantee to get 20 of those heads, probably 30, and depending on what army I decide to go with, Necrons or Marines for this project, and possibly as high as 50.

In the past, MaxMini has always let you select which options you'd like in cases like this.
You only need to put the details in the 'notes/comments' section of your order.
It would help if the options are numbered, and maybe they'll do that too?

I do love the way we've got these great new helmets that everyone's talking about and then...
... a new wheel! It's... uhh... round? I guess...
... so exciting! Anyway, back to the cool Egyptian heads. My thoughts:
Top - Very cool.
Next one down - Nice sarcophagus mask. I like it.
Next one down - Very cool. A good 'techno-Anubis'.
Next one down - Awesome!
Next one down - Uhh... not good. See, I like the bird, as it fits with the theme. What I don't like is the angry-face teeth. They're a little too cartoonish for me, and really the picture from Toy Story 2 sums it up. If that was less prominent, it'd be fine.

Have to agree with gits on this, i know it might sound like we are being picky, but you really would get loads more sales if we can pick between the certain heads, ie get 50 or so of a single design.

http://bit.ly/GUZmv6
A quick update on the greatcoat legs - we've just made first batch in white metal. I should be able to add them to the webstore this week . Resin version will follow after Salute.
Last but for sure not least a thing that kept me busy - after a long research and struggle we've got hi res 3d printer for our own! YEAH! Quality of the prints this machine is achieveing is breathtaking - no post processing work is required before moulding the prints. Crazy machine - and a true beast !
Here's a quick photo of the item printed during the test phase:
What's more I've been able to improve the prints even further - can't wait what we'll be able to come up with when I learn about all the settings and workflow associated with this equipment.
I'm working on a sub site dedictaed to 3d printing service. Got to admit it won't be cheap (hell, this machine has been VERY expensive), but the quality will be totally worth it.

I think Scibor's products fit Terminators reasonably well.
I also haven't had much difficulty adapting standard Thousand Sons heads to fit on the Terminator body (you have to cut away part of the "collar" behind the head of the terminator).

Just bought some of the Gothic backpacks and two different Jump packs from MaxMini.
Have to say, stuff is awesome.
I'm a little disappointed though. I ordered 6, and asked for a single specific type of Gothic Backpack (so I'd get 6 of the one kind). I got two sprues with the three different types on it (so I have two of each).
I was under the impression that if you left them a note in the shopping cart that they would make such alterations to your order. Have they stopped doing that? Or was it an oversight on their part?
Any ideas? Automatically Appended Next Post: Hi,
internet just ate my post. Grrr.
Basically I got some stuff (which is great. Very nicely cast) and am happy.
However I ordered 6 of the same type of Gothic Backpack. I got two of each different type.
Anyone know if they still maintain the policy of making the bits for you if you want only a specific part off a sprue?
7305
Post by: Przemas
@Lurker - drop me an email and we'll sort it out . Guys must have overlooked the comment. ATM I'm working on a solution that should prevent that from happening in the future .
BTW - note that the "custom order" option does not work on all sets. On some that would be hard to "split" into similiar parts it's not possible - for example "candles, books, skulls..." set. But usually it is clearly stated in the item description.

Not sure if there is a policy passé but If you contact them directly (before placing your order ) and ask them they might be able to help, did you get a reply before you placed your order ?
I would try this next time,I have always found them most helpful, but there may be limits to what they can and are prepared to do.
It would be best to ask and get a reply first, that way they will be aware of the circumstances and will be ready to deal with it. Automatically Appended Next Post: Gather there is an answer to this after all

I just wanted to say that I ordered some of the great coat legs last week, and considering it was Easter Bank Holiday in the UK they came very quickly.
Very good communication with the store regarding the order, very reasonable postage and they came very quickly (especially as they came all the way from Poland).
The legs themselves I am also very happy with. I might have been better waiting for the resin version but am planning on buying a LOT more and wanted to get my hands on them to see what they were like.
The metal ones had some mold lines on which would be esier to remove from resin, but they filed off easily enough. I will get some photos up when I have finished assembling everything but all in all I was very happy, will definitely be ordering more.

Absolutely awesome helmets, my only concern is that at 28mm scale, some of the details will be to small to paint, the tiny "crosss mouth grill" and skull above the eys on the top left one, for example.

For the people not in the know: Bob Olley was one of the original sculptors of the Genestealer Cult miniatures, e.g. the patriarch on throne and a magus.
Edit1: Currently checking if he sculpted all of them except the riders, even if the catalogue attributes them to Jes Goodwin.
Edit2: Seems they worked together in designing these.
Edit3: Seems Jes only made the one piece non-magus Hybrids, Bob the other ones with modular arms.

Apparently they are making a Gothic KV2 tank
What scale though? A 28mm KV Tank would still look kinda pitiful vs anything in 40k. Guess they might stretch out the proportions or make it closer to 1/48 or even 1/35

That tank has the potential of looking awesome if it's done right. I love the arcane look of it in the concept art like the arches on the sides of the turret reminiscent of the arches on old cathedrals...it actually reminds me of the architecture when I went to Paris on a a art trip, especially the Notre-dame.

Wow, awesome stuff. I am loving the trench coat and combat torso combo. You're head sculps are fantastic as usual, but I was wondering; do you have any plans on ever doing any female infantry heads?
46491
Post by: noneoftheabove0
Holy hell those are some great looking legs. Never thought I'd say that about toy soldier legs, though. I think my father just felt a pang of disappointment. Is there a timeline on those things? I was just trying to find a decent pair of legs to match up with your combat torsos and the beret heads for veteran troops. I don't think I need to look further, but just wait. Automatically Appended Next Post: The more I look at the torso with those legs, the more I realize that Cadian arms will not do them justice. Have you considered releasing arm sets in addition to your other conversion sets? I figure rolled sleeves would look incredible with the combat armor and the new legs. I'm not sure if there's alot of demand for that sort of thing, but I know that it's not being supplied in any meaningful way. They'd probably make for a great veteran conversion. I also figure Greatcoat arms are probably in reasonably high demand. I think Kromlech has a set of Greatcoat arms, but I'm pretty sure they are Orc scaled. Just something I was thinking of.
7305
Post by: Przemas
@WhiteWolf: IMO there's no point of releasing heads only as there are no proper torsos / legs on the market . I know I've written this aroud a year ago but we're working on a more "complete" solution.

On a side note - several posts out there regarding Thunderstorm Turret (for example Ruyn's) got me thinking. I intended it to be a small defence platform or a turret attached to infantry soldier back/top . But it seems that making it larger (a lot larger!) may be a good idea too. What do you think? Surely the arms are the worst thing about the catachans? But agreed, those heads all work perfectly!

Przemas - any chance of MaxMini doing some not-Arbite/not-Judge Dredd helmet heads? With the new Judge Dredd movie on the horizon, they could potentially be popular.

Although I like all of the variant heads - I hope the *bald ones* will be released first, as I need them for my penal troopers. And I second the pledge for also releasing the amazing chaotic shields in a slightly larger scale - utilizing one of the benefits with digital sculpting. The ornaments on the bigger shields (together with the smaller ones) would be absolutely perfect for pimping chaotic vehicles and flyers!

It'd also be cool to see some heads with a wider range of facial details - the vast majority of faces tend towards caucasian. I like that there's some diversity I'm this batch, but it would be great to see a wide range of heads. Asiatic, North African/Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, North and South American indigenous.

We've been thinking about possible variants (different equipment etc) of those heads:
We're running poll on our FB account that will decide which variant will come out first .
Is it me, or does the last head on the bottom row look like the Engineer from TF2?

Kinda reminds me of Riddick. That being said, the whole range of bald heads done with the goggles would make for some great Delaques for Necromunda.

You should probably release a full sprue of bald heads first and then pretty much the rest of them and maybe even other varients. They look like amazing heads, and even with the detail loss that shrinking them will inevitably cause, they look like they'll be some of the coolest on the market. I figure once you have the base models down, it would be a breeze to make other varients, and I've heard that mold making for resin is pretty cheap, so it wouldn't be hard to make your money back on them even if alot of varients are released.

I'm kinda proud as it shows the quality we can achieve with the methods we've been delving for a past couple of months .
Can't wait to see how the voting for the heads will end. I'll leave it open till Wednesday . So far goggles have taken the lead .

Wonderful.
Two questions.
1) Will buyers be able to pick and choose which ones they want as part of their order? Like, maybe a Nurgle player who might only want the Chtulhu looking one?
2) Do you have a plan for matching hammers? Once the new Chaos dex comes out, if Terminators have a TH/ SS type option, I could see a LOT of use for those.

Man, those heads will be perfect for my guard vets. Can't wait.
I received my first MaxMini order today, and all I can say is wow. Fast delivery, a week from Poland - UK, not too shabby at all!
I got the Mecha egyptian heads, and I requested 10 of the human face with the egyptian beard and third eye type thing (navigator psyker battle squad anyone?) And not only did they deliver just that, I also got extras! One more of those heads, 2 of the Angry-heads and one of the jackal heads. 14 heads for the price of 10. All perfect casts with amazing levels of detail.
Keep up the good work guys, I will be ordering more very very soon.

@SlaveToDorkness: It hasn't . We sold a couple of prerelease models during Salute. Modelmnaker who worked on those had to leave modelling for the tiem being and so far noone picked this project up.
Tomorrow I'll look for the head varaint poll results .
Kazube finished putting those together while I prepared all the parts for thunderstorm turret.
Here's a quick pic showing it assembled as a remote turret and as a backpack addon, closely followed by a preview of the actual sprue:

What size will these be? Something that fits on heavily armoured super warriors of the far future, or will they fit on your average APC-type vehicle?
Either way, I am sure I can find many uses for them!

Those chaos shields are quite breathtaking. For the obsessive-compulsive among us who can't bear repetition in their armies, will you be releasing more to go with them? (another 6 would give 10 alternatives).

Nice looking space police...how about some bodies, arms, & legs to go with what your already got? Would be nice to be able to build some minis without needing GW parts.
THough I do have enough spare SM parts kicking around to build at least 8-10 space police with your parts...

They already do some combat armour torsos and legs which will probably combine with these pretty well.
7305
Post by: Przemas
@Mad4Minis: sockwithaticket is right - we already have legs and torsos. The only thing missing atm are arms. But existing pieces should work well with other manufacturers ones. Well, and I also admit we'll have to work on arms at some point (sooner than later ) .
@Vitruvian XVII : safe estimate would be around a month. I need to make sure all works and build some stock levels.
In a meantime I've released a personal work of joy - Thunderstorm Turret:

Wow - the stuff maxmini are producing at the minute is just amazing! Expect a big space police order when they come out. Just a few more leg poses (combat armour) and a range of arms wouldn't go a miss (not glamourous - but like one-stop shopping!).
I love the 'jawness' of these guys.
