I like the sculpts a lot. I've got a text file of Maxmini stuff I want to order, and I'm planning on pulling the trigger when the dogs are up, presuming no mishaps.
I know they are scantily clad, but ehh. so are Catachans, technically.
I hope they scale well with Raging Hero's stuff, since I'm pretty excited about that as well.

Post by: Barzam
Honestly, I think they're actually wearing a bit more than the Catachans. I kind of like the girl on the left more, but I'm not sure if I like her enough to actually order them. Now, the dogs and the KV-2? Oh definitely.

BTW - even though the orders are being sent as usual I'm slightly behind with updating the database. Thought I'd let you know - all is ok. Even though some of the orders still have "processing" status in the web panel it should be "shipped" instead .

OK a small package arrived this morning Thanks Przemas inside was couple of things the new Great coat arms and the Necrohounds.
Well, I have to go to work shortly but felt I should do a quick shot of the arms, was going to take a picture of the hounds but the metal was reflecting to much to show the detail.
I will say they are great looking models and will have some great uses, also they are quite big and imposing
Now for the arms I just quickly tacked these together to get a general feel to them, I have to say they line up nicely with the intended torso but am sure they will work well with others.
So here are the pics sorry no head but I was in a rush

Those arms look fine... mostly.
My only comment is that I can't put my arm in that position. I had my wife try too (she was mostly patient about it, heh). The only way either of us can get our hand horizontal like that is to put our elbow against our body. I cannot get my hand flat with my elbow out away from my body. I'm thinking that the only way a person can actually get an arm in that position is if it is broken.
Otherwise the arms look great.

To be fair I think it is my poor picture quality it's the top pic that is making it look slightly odd
If you stand in front of a mirror and pose ( this is sounding weird all ready ) and think of the weight issue of the weapon as well it looks right …. Trust me.
I will take a picture with a weapon added this weekend, this should explain it more clearly

I don't recall if it was addressed, but are the girls resin or metal? Also, are the guns separate parts? If so, that'd be a good excuse to cross sell some of those alternate weapons you guys make.
7375
Post by: BrookM
I think they're both resin.
7305
Post by: Przemas
white metal - good point, I'll add that to description.
@Barzam - guns are not separate. I wanted to keep number of parts as low as possible, so assembling wouldn't be a pain.
The first model is signgle piece, the 2nd ("running") has is two piece (arm section as a seprate item).
ATM I'm thinking about making the regular squad members more customizable, with separate heads and maybe weapons - what do you think?
@lone dirty dog: got to admit current webstore pic of the arms do not help much either .
It's tricky to make a photo of those when they are not glued to the model.
But when we build a couple of test "greatcoat" models with all the parts they looked really good - check the "Germans" on the previous page.

I don't follow Hollywood, I get my military info from the Vets and Active service personnel over on OSW and from places like militaryphotos.net. I understand that the A2 is still used, but the A4 (or M4/416/etc) are far more ubiquitous these days.

Yes, to be honest they look better in your hand than any pictures, plus when you try to take a pic to show all the detail it kind of throws everything else of.

@Barzam - if we come up with some fresh design they'll land on our desk for sure. I think that the theme is very specific, it will be difficult to make something that would play along Jes Goodwin's designs without copying them - and that's something I don't want to do. I do my best to ensure that you find some fresh ideas in our models .

Hey Przemas - love those guns and would have *almost* bought them along with your pretty siege gun I just ordered - but what would go really nicely with those alternative weapons would be some more alternative arm sets in addition to the greatcoat ones.
