The "all the models in the unit with this special rule" part of that would seem to cover what Tyran referred to.

Aye, they can, as long as you take another detachment where you can take the Brood of Tyrant Guard.

Any more silly than when they changed the HQ Broodlord and made 'im a Sergeant?
Yes, because people have bought that model for use as a Sergeant upgrade, and could continue to buy that model. While I'm not personally a fan of it and would rather convert a Broodlord, it's not good to invalidate things. Also, though, what I said about making that enormous thing into a squad upgrade - it's cool and I want one, but it's just not as imposing if it's in every brood.
I'm quite disappointed with the psychic formation, as I'd hoped for it to save the Maleceptor (and finally display some of that Tyranid psychic supremacy we haven't seen in so long). It's a bit strange that the toxic version has a Tyrant and the psychic one doesn't, since Tyrants are rather renowned for their psychic ability (supposedly).
The "Baneblade-sized bug" is the Toxicrene. In a White Dwarf, there was a top-down view of the Toxicrene and a comment saying that, with its very long tentacles, it's as wide as or wider than a Baneblade.

Its always been my assumption the silly pose of the metal/Finecast Broodlord was a failed assembly problem. If you rotate the legs 90 degrees in the leg sockets you get a completely different and much better pose.

I don't like this pose at all. Looks goofy, like they are falling over. I'm also a fan of the Come At Me Bro-odlord.
If I were to reposition the Broodlord, i'd do something like this:

If he added "unit may assault the turn it deepstrikes" I would buy it at a high price. ;-)

Hey, welcome to my last Saturday night!
I lost on turn 7, but had it won on turns 5 and 6, and the dice gods helped me snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. BGNT can put you at a disadvantage, but Tyrannocytes are at least much more durable than the old mycetic spores. At T4 and W3, those things would pop like friggin' soap bubbles. Plus, being able to move Tyrannocytes is very, very nice.

I need a Carnifex. I have so many, many Tyranids and I don't own a single Carnifex. It's a shame! I also need some of the new Warriors (although I have many of the previous ones), and I definitely don't have enough Genestealers. This box might just tempt me.

Agonizing over this box set. That Broodlord is awesome, and a new Carnifex would be cool. But I don't need more Genestealers or Warriors. Alternatively, the choice might be made for me - as things sell-out so damn fast!

Yup. Exactly this. These boxsets are such a great idea for them. They can sell under-sold model kits (things like Genestealers / Warriors) and while getting people to buy-in to a second army. Or splitting it with a friend - increasing the number of new players in the game, or armies existing players collect.

Hmm... it doesn't come with any Gaunts. That's actually fantastic, as I don't want any more Gaunts. I don't need any more 'Stealers, but whatever, 8 more 'Stealers is better than 12+ more 'Gaunts.

My best bud plays Blood Angels, so I'm sure he could use them....and I have yet to purchase the 7th ed rules...so, win-win-win-win-win! I always really liked the carnifex, one of the first non-Tau models I bought for 40k and one of the ones I had the most fun building just because the model looked so awesome. That said the kit itself isn't so great, but that's more due to age than anything. It's been a while but if I remember right the sprues are awful bare, like most large, older kits like the devilfish or wave serpent; lots of empty space that nowadays would be packed full of random bits (or wasted with bits you can't use because it's a dual kit and you can only build one of the models, but you know).

The stormclaw mini rulebook was almost certainly the same print run as the mini rule books included in Dark Vengeance. It would cost GW alomst nothing to change the cover art on a later print run while increasing sales, especially amongst Blood Angels Players and completionist collectors.

GW's upper management staff don't want leaks to get out before they can launch the information and build the hype up themselves. They know that hype before a launch is important, but seem to prefer short term hype building instead of long term - hence why they want to cut down on leaks. I suspect its also because sometimes models DO get shelved or put on hold - leaks only serves to harm sales because people get hyped up about stuff coming in months and thus save instead of spending today (esp if what is coming in months takes way more than the leak suggested at the time).
Most of the leaks are from employees who risk their jobs to slip the leak out - or they are shop staff when the orders go out.
Others are based upon patterns of behaviour ( GW releases something on the same cycle thus you can assume a new one will come at the next instance of the cycle).

Cheers, the broodlord comes with a new base format it seems:
Source: http://citadelofpaint.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/new-broodlord-with-new-base.html
According to Natfka's release list this could be a 32 mm base size, although his source calls it round (typo?). We will see

Post by: plastictrees
I think it might just be a round base with the curve of the magazine page making it look like a different shape. An oval base at that size seems a bit pointless.

No idea what the 32mm round are for. 50mm round and the 170mm oval, nice. I could use more centurion and knight bases.

White Dwarf just arrived. The Deathstorm box is €100. Karlaen looks pretty cool, he's got a storm bolter and thunder hammer and a cool iron halo built around a chalice. I'll try to get some pics up later on.

Their wings are deadly? Are they just really spiky or something? Sure, a swan can hurt if it hits you with those wings, and I imagine a Tyranid's would be strong enough to kill, but it's rather absurd imagery.
