Working on my batch painting of 27 Plaguebearers. Currently dry brushing rust onto their swords. Once done I just need to put the edge highlights on their pimples and then do the bases and they'll be done.

All 27 of the filthy fethers are now done!

A little nervous; the mold lines are showing through the basecoat a little more than I had anticipated they would, but it's something to keep in mind for my next attempt.

Planning on finishing my Howling Banshee Exarch this week so tonight I'll be pushing to work on her mirror swords.

Got a second pack of resin Tt combat oil drums and a 10pk of 50mm round bases to make my objective markers/ promethium caches

Painting the Sylvaneth half of Looncurse for a game on Thursday.
I magnetised the big tree archers, and 3 of the 10 spirit guys. Not sure why the spirits, but new battletome, etc.
The battlefield technical paint looks to work well. Slap loads on, and paint as required. I'll stick branches on it later.

Small tip, don't use Microsol (or Microset, the red one whichever it is), if you use an inkjet HP printer as I do, it'll make the colours bleed, certainly the black, even under a coat of Keen decal varnish...

Just put the finishing touches on this fellas. Not bad for 2 hours work (including stripping the original paint off!)

He's an Umber Alpha for The Watchers in Wild West Exodus. A transdimentional (did you just assume his dimension? XD) killing machine, which is only just controllable hy those who unleash it!

Last night I started putting Yvraine together, my cack handedness couple with tiny parts made it tough going. Hope to finish gluing her and the Visarch together today.

Rebuilding a pair of Sisters Exorcists that I rescued from eBay. Badly glued and put together, I have stripped them apart, shaved all the superglue globs back to bare metal and reassembled. Sadly, I scalped my thumb doing so :(

Assembled some Deathwatch vets with heavy bolters and missile launchers.

Transported my Eldar army on an early morning flight from Ireland to England this morning in readiness for a 40k league I'll be joining later this month.

Nervy.

Started on the Exorcist tank. Must have spent over an hour removing flash and sanding down edge and corners to make it fit the plastic parts.

Cleaned out my wash jar and filled with fresh, clean water for the first time in weeks. Kept painting up the scout squad. Getting to the final details and highlights now.

Today is a day for deciding on what my entry into the painting challenge will be and maybe get some paint down onto the fire dragons in off chance I get a game in.

Finished 7 more members of my Deathwatch army. Now up to 50 veterans (30 Vets, 10 Terminators, 10 Vanguard Vets) and a Jump Captain. I need to assemble some more now as I have none left to do. Gonna spend an hour or so putting some paint on my DW Venerable Dread though now.

Constructed the Rhino body of the Exorcist. Now re-filing the metal parts that are supposed to fit on it.

Did some work on a unit of Seekers last night. Continuing them today after work, and tomorrow at my local GW.

Assembled 5 more Vanguard Vets for my Deathwatch force, and have just undercoated the 20 built Deathwatch Marines.

Started work on my Loonshrine and put up a new display cabinet.

Hopefully getting in a game of AoS. Gonna try to smash face with some Hedonites!

Today was a clearcoating day for me.

Here in the Midwest our Spring times are basically rain, mist, and rapidly changing temperatures. If you want your models to look decent, you need to wait for the right day to spray them, and those days never seemed to coincide with my work schedule.

So, I ended up with a backlog of 72 marines and a Landraider. All painted and not sealed. I sealed them ALL in one go using Krylon Matte ultra clear ($2.50 per can and sprays very fine with a 10 minute dry time).

My wife comes home and instantly gets furious, as the smell of that many freshly painted models was a bit overpowering in the home, even though I painted them outside.

Hobby been bit of a backburner few days due to chess but today continued 2 doom scythes and command/annihilation barge. Also work on transcendant c'tan conversion from nightbringer. Head and arms replaced by some random d&d fire elemental and couple wood elf tree bits to represent flames/energy whips. Coupled with totally different colour scheme to my nightbringer hopefully distinct enough.

Batch #3 of my Deathwatch infantry is underway. 20 more models, including 5 Heavy Bolters, 4 Missile Launchers, 3 Frag Cannons and a Heavy Flamer.

Stuck some bits and random bits of "stuff" (bits of wire and a bottle cap, mostly) to a Hotwheels pickup.

To make a Mishkin pickup with an experimental nuclear engine.

Finally got my Loke Battlemat, "Slaughter Field". 4x2 of grimdark fun!

Decals and overcoating are my hobby plan for this very wet day. I may have to skip out on the final dull coat as I'm worried about the humidity though.

Working on my Fane of Slaanesh, helped my wife build a Sylvaneth army (and subsequently put her wants into my swap shop post). Might work on my Syll’Eske to generic Slaanesh Prince conversion.

Tried out contrast paints at the weekend. They were fun but I don't think I'll be using them extensively as an army painting tool, more so for glazing as the high pigmentation was quite nice.



Today I'll be doing some painting of some kind, I have a few projects to catch up on!

Deathwatch Veteran batch #3 is underway, first marine completed, lots and lots of edge highlighting still to be done.

Started painting the Exorcist...I think I have bitten off more than I can chew for this month's painting contest...there are just loads of extra details to paint.

I’ve just finished assembling the last bits from Shadowspear. I got bored about 3/4 of the way through and left it for months, but got sick of looking at the box with only 6 models left to build in it.

Painted a WLG Tiger 1. It's a fantastic model and it was fun to go all out on weathering techniques.

Tying to paint 10 Emperors Children Palatine Blades before Saturday, for a Horus Heresy event. Five down, five to go ...

Working on my converted Hedonite Bladebringer on Exalted Chariot. I bought a second Syll'Esske model, split them up, and Syll is getting mounted on a chariot. Esske has been graced with wings, a Slaanesh claw, and a KoS blade to become a regal looking Daemon Prince of Slaanesh. Honestly, I don't think I could ever go back to using the bigger Daemon Prince models for Slaanesh ones now. They should be lithe and svelte.

Started on some Plague Marines this morning, but got bored, so went back to painting Deathwatch. 7 more marines have been completed and added to my Deathwatch force.

Nice work leopard and Tyranid Horde.

Started the base coats on my Exorcist.

These dishes are fine outside of fantasy, so long as you have a table. You can use Museum Wax to temporarily adhere the bits!

Got a crazy good deal on a necron auction that included a lot of OOP stuff from the classic line, the models that got me started playing 40k about 20 years ago. Been sorting through them and working out base replacements and plans for the work to restore all this crazy stuff.

Cleaning my brushes so I can start back with mid week painting again. Got a big gaming weekend, 2 days of games

Finishing a few bits of my American Civil War forces off for their first outing to FLGS tomorrow, hope to get some pics of them in action.

I had a go with the new contrast paints today.

I'm not 100% certain about them really. For all the hype, they just sort of seem like a thicker wash.

This is their Gryph-Hound Orange, over a Halfords Grey Plastic Primer.

A single coat, no watering. Or medium.

Also, yikes, they're expensive.

Painted the gold base coat and started a white test on the Exorcist.

Went to tournament. Best result evah in 20 years with 40 points after 2 rounds. Then finnish tournament ranking #1 came with his seriously toned down eldars that my poor necrons couldn't deal at all. I was outranged so bad that even advancing nephrek immortals couldn't reach anything for first round and anything that's seen got vaporized by piles of S5-S6 fire that is basically just what doctor orders against necrons(and lots of other stuff as well). I had basically no way to survive open, outside LOS opponent could just sit on objectives and get 20-0 and if I tried to break cover I got shot to pieces. Trust ranking #1 to figure out way to make super good eldar list with no alaitoc, only few saim hann units(rest being mixed detachment) and no psykers whatsoever or even spamming single unit slot(only 1 fire prism etc).

After that assembled 6 destroyers ready for priming and dug up few khorne daemons who will be the guinea pigs for contrast paint.

More work on Deathwatch infantry batch #3. 2 more veterans completed today, as well as a lot of work done on the last 8 of this batch.

Finishing Ashes and Dust and the Ashen Core for Malifaux, and putting some more paint down on my Bane crew

Prepping for the Rogue Trader campaign I'm GMing, yet another project I'm doing with my study and stuff lol. First session was fun despite my bemusement about how the starship combat works. The player's Navigator is a gigantic arsehole and knows he's a character in a P&P RPG because of his powers lol

Painting on 6 destroyers, 5 death marks and 1 immortal continues.

Painted my first old school destroyer and lord (the ones from 2nd edition) and a metal wraith after a crazy lot pick up on ebay last week. Why did I bid on all these guys?

Played my first game of 40k in about 3 months as part of the Bad Moon League in London.

Made some silly mistakes in the first couple of turns that I'll be learning from for the next round.

Last night I made a start on two rogue psykers from BSF for the Dakka Painting Challenge. Trying out some contast on them as well as that gorgeous "new" base paint Gal-Vorbak red.

Getting a practise game in for another league I'm entering at my local GW today. 1000 points of Eldar using the beachhead mission from CA2018.

EDIT: Had a good game, played against an Ork horde army which I barely managed to deal with. It didn't help that I couldn't wipe a squad and my opponent redeployed the mob at full strength and "Da Jump"ed them. It's given me some things to consider for this small points league. I have to find a decent balance between hordes, anti-tank and playing the objective.

Further work on Deathwatch infrantry batch #3. 3 finished so far, hoping to get another 5 done to complete this latest batch. Considering getting some vehicles when I get paid to bring about some real fire support.

Edit: aaaand done, 8 more marines join my Deathwatch company, for a total of 70 vets (15 Vanguard, 10 terminator, 45 veterans), a Watch Captain and a Venerable Dread. Not sure I have the motivation to start painting anything else today, but will try.

Change of pace today. After I finished painting my Deathwatch yesterday, I primed batch #4 of my Deathwatch infantry (20 more vets) as well as some of the Shadowspear Primaris and a Repulsor tank for my Crimson Fists. I've spent most of my morning slapping blue, red and silver on the Repulsor, still a long way to go.

Had a game of Sharp Practice, fighting a small skirmish in the American Civil War. The Confederates (under my control) are petitioning high command for a new general, there is talk of asking for a dead dog to be promoted as "it can't be any worse".

Also put the skin tones and base beige on a squad and a bit of 28mm SS who have been lurking on my table for months in an attempt to actually get them finished.

Finished off a couple models I had 90% done, worked on some posts for my Batman blog and finished skin on my current batch of Bane models. Working on the clothes for them now

Painted up a war rig for Gaslands.
Converted from a toy truck (as you do for Gaslands), a straw and cutting up the packaging it came in. Lots of playing around with rust effects.

Editing my damn Warhammer 40k fanfic: Secret War on Grammarly, this despite doing using my NaNoWriMo last year editing the hell out of the 240,000 word monstrosity. I don't know why but either Grammarly missed that stuff or it regressed to an older version of the document. (I use it because my dyslexic ass is terrible at editing)

Doing my thing on the Rogue Psykers, they're really fun to paint.

Just put the finishing touches to my Crimson Fists Repulsor. That means I can now finally make a 3000 point Primaris Crimson Fists list.

Plague champion leader with power fist and plasma gun.

Vs some kind of Imperial guard force with a huge elite guy who was a melee monster. Not familiar with their force as I'm barely familiar with mine. I don't have the Elites book, and despite us kind of specifying core only he had a big Elite guy. Oh well.

We played the Sweep and Clear mission and I lost. I kept rolling horribly. His guys were very squishy but I kept rolling 1 on my wound rolls, 4 in a row at one point when unloading with my plasma guys. And then when hit I would always fail my save, then my Disgustingly Resilient saves. Wasn't very up on using the command points yet and need to go over those aspects a lot more. But it was fun. the rule set seems cool, though the small battle grounds kind of throw me.

We are mostly into playing historical games like Chain of Command, Bolt Action, and other games of that type, but a few of the guys are big time 40k fans so I'll play an odd game with them now and then I think going forward. I'm looking for a 40k skirmish rule set to play casual games with my brother over beers and shots as well and I think this will work.

Does 40k itself support smaller games of 10-20 infantry models? I remember a skirmish add on for old WFB but 40k was always more skirmishy than rank and flank by default. One of the guys sold me a couple sprues of the Nurgle guys from a starter set, 5x marines and a Lord of Contagion along with a drone and 10 more pox walkers. That will get me up to the LoC, 15 plague marines, 16 pox walkers, and the drone.

Going to pick up a box of primaris marines and that will put me up to 12 of those dudes as well, so I have an opposing force.

Anyway overall I'll give game 1 a thumbs up!

That looks great CB. Mine's been partly painted for over a year. Another few hours work and mine will be done. I can't wait to get it off the painting backlog!

Worked on my Contorted Epitome. Have a few Slaanesh lists, and as far as “power lists” go, this model is right behind Keepers of Secrets as far as “must haves” are concerned. It’s coming along very well so far!

Well seeing as the boys woke up at 5.30 this morning after prising my eyes open with a cup of coffee I thought sod it and put my Humvees together for team Yankee.
Just have to do the weapon mounts , stowage and wading kits. Plus coms antennae.

I'm going to play around with new contrast paints on some Conquest poxwalkers. I don't especially want them to be uniform so I'm free to experiment.

Productive hobby day today. Finished bases and blacks on my metal Bane models, primed up the next batch of 5 Batman models, started painting Zor Maxim for Monsterpocalypse. The big achievement was that I both started and finished my entire Army of the Dead for LotR apart from bases.

Helping a friend move tables back to the club after he has been doing demo's at a small convention all weekend.

Arranging some more possible sales on the Dakka Dakka Swap Shop.

Going to play a 2000 points Maelstrom mission as part of the Bad Moon League. Eldar vs Orks, time to spray and pray.

Doing more design work for the dungeon crawl project and finishing up a couple more orcs.

Making Terrain! I have 3 pieces each in semi done state, I just need to paint them but I'm waiting for a day significantly less humid then it is so I can spray paint them.

Bit of tarting up for a Tau killteam - which I have been painting on-and-off since 2009! Its the stealthsuit set and I'm rather fond of them.

Iyanden Yellow is still not in stock with Wayland so I've asked them to change it for one that is; "Akhelian green". Just as well really, as there are 10 Kalabites that need painting, and might consider more Dark Eldar stuff in future...

just bought a can of white primer and going to start the long process of 1k sons

Painting base coat details on 20+ Eisenkern infantry models and heavy weapons teams. Hopefully finish that today so I can start the gloss coat needed before wash/ink.

Painting some Tau Stealth Suits, and putting together a Whirlwind for my Dark Angels.

drybrushed metallic on some OOP necron immortals (the ones that first came with the glowing green rods) that I got in a crazy huge ebay lot.

Also converted a chaos cultist to have a long rifle for our necromunda campaign.

Assembling a brace of cockatrice. Fantastic sculpt but makes me remember all my hatred of finecast as a material - sooo many annoying bubbles on the mane (thankfully its a scraggly creature by nature so it will hide itself but its still a pain) Wings and pose are fantastic though and I don't regret getting them one bit!

A game of Lost Patrol using the Ambull instead of the scouts.

Brain storming for a simple "solo-coop" game set in space. Its something I would like to do as a self-published pdf, but I've no experience in that field.

Started work on a custom gameboard for "Duels of the Crystal Labyrinth", which coincides with looking into a new Tzeentch-based Kill Team. I'm hoping the July issue of WD will provide rules for "Horrors" to be used alongside the basic kill team of Rubics and Tzanngors. The board is basic for the time being but I'm thinking of one half being Tyranid/Genestealer cult themed while the other half is Tzeentch.

Also introduced my wife to a deck builder I created myself, and she thought it was great (but needs a few things tightened up in the rules).

Built 10 CSM, a CSM biker, and have now started painting my fourth batch of Deathwatch infantry. Finished all of the silver bits including arms, now painting the shoulder pads and the flesh of any without helmets.

Kitbashing Mistweaver Saih with eternal guard and shadow warrior bits for some Exodite action. Having a lot of fun with it.

Worked on my oop FW Eldar Wave Serpent for the monthly painting competition. Real issue with the mounting of the model as it has a regular plastic stern vice FW resin and this means the bow is too heavy for a proper balance point.

Playing a 1000 point game of Bolt Action to help one of my group prep for a tourney they are throwing next month. Heroic American GI vs the Hunn!

I was given two marine halves of shadowspear, a box of Intercessors and a Gravis captain from an irate player who quite this past weekend.

Just straight up given for free for being "a nice dude."

So, I'm going to paint them up as Blood Ravens seeing as how they're getting a mini-codex in a week or so!

Got them home and primed them up with a base of mephiston red. Still need to build the Suppressors that he didn't get around to making.

Finished Blue Beetle and assembled Halbarad so I can start painting the last 3 Grey Company models I have. Progress on the Bane crew has stalled now as I just feel like painting other things that are quicker one and done projects

Kitbashed and primed my Exodite seer, ready for paint but need to decide on a colour scheme.

Finally gluing my Quick build redemptor as after 6 months of play and use the snap parts are getting loose.

Won my second 1000pts league game with my Eldar versus a Banehammer and some Bullgryns.

Mission was favourable but it was one of the least fun games I have ever played.

Finished Harry Wells, and working on 3 Prospectors and Vanessa for Malifaux. Now that M3E is fully out, working on finishing up some crew's paintjobs so I can play lists fully painted.

About to start painting my first miniature of the year.

Some would say it's about time.

Then again, it's for Mordheim, so technically I'm 20 years late to the party anyway!

Now, let's see what part of the brush the paint goes on again...

Pulling my orks from the simple green today and starting the reassembly/repainting tonight

Seriously, I'm a slave to those little green fellas.

Started rebasing my 6mm Greeks to 40mm wide bases, for ADLG or DBA INSTEAD OF Impetus.

A game of Adeptus titanicus. Some work on a Chaos Terminator Sorceror.

A friend emptied his attic and game me a huge bag filled with what looked like plastic and metal... gravel.

10 days later, I've stripped almost 100 LotR metals, many OOP. I've rebuilt two Eldar Falcons, a Tau Piranha and an old-style Rhino.

Piles of early slotta dwarfs in there, three original Black Orcs, space marine scouts, tyranid hunters, metal Tau stealth suits.

Still hundreds of old single-piece Gretchen, Orcs and CSMs to look through. Just found a couple of old Legion of the Damned metal bodies.

Also a bar of soap, a coat peg, lots of blue chalk, a ?used plaster and lots of curly hair, so my task is not without its dangers...

Getting the base colors on my Repulsor Executioner. A large part of it is push fit/gravity held on their for now so I can get the photo op. I am really happy with the color choice.

Game tonight versus Ad Mech. Haven't played against them before.

Sorting out the now stripped and separated Ork bits. Found out the hard way that even simple green will eat away skin if you work with it for too long.

Also sorting terrain, whooo...

Preparing the setting, missions, units and characters for a campaign i'll play this week end with a few friends and my bruv.

Finished my third Redemptor Dread for my Crimson Fists, putting me at 3200 points exactly. I'm not sure whether to do other Redemptor's in Crimson Fists colours, or whether to halt. With the introduction of the new Apocalypse, I'm tempted to just make a massive CF force, but in reality, it may just be a waste.

Painting Gretchin in order to nail down a new Ork paint scheme. While wearing gloves probably, as I'm still suffering the side effects of the SimpleGreen inicdent and don't want to leave skin on the models.

Painting up an 8" x 10" or so terrain piece for Necromunda. Cost about $2.50 from dollar tree including the mdf base (clipboard with the clip sawed off) and a gift box turned upside down to be a giant storage tank. Puff paints to simulate crappy welds and empty McDonalds dip sauce containers glued upside down near the tank as 'pumps'.

Working on some of the new Chaos Space Marines. They're going to be a Slaaneshi warband in the original colours of the Emperor's Children.

Getting more work done on my Wulfen, and assembling some parts of an Imperial Knight (mainly the weapons).

Building terrain and made a house for D&D/Warhammer. I tried using my own homemade wash after I had put a basecoat on it but the wash....didn't stick as well as I would of liked. So now I gotta head off to my local art store for a few new things to try and create a new, fancier homemade wash for my terrain pieces...fun!

I've been working on an idea for making a fancy basing thing for kings of war... something that will look nice but also allow me to remove the figures to use them for other things

Started to repaint the Orks. Apparently couldn't resist a couple paint-test marines. Using contrast instead of the old white primer and ink wash technique looks much better, altough there is a learning curve with the new paints:



Now its on to the vehicle mounted orks - just as soon as I figure out there the front part of my WarTrike went

Going to work on some terrain and later possibly some Guardsmen.

Test print template of a game board for Duels of the Crystal Labyrinth in Gimp. Printing size isn't 100% correct but it is close enough. I'll be using card layers over an A4 foam board for a very slight bevelled effect, so one has thin pits to place miniatures and dice. Something about foamboard from the craft shop that screams "game board"...

Building more Slaanesh Hellstriders. I’ve got 15 now, 5 fully done, 5 built and unpainted, 5 still on sprue. They come in white boxes now, and some have oval bases, some don’t. Thankfully, I had 5 leftover oval bases when I ordered two boxes, and got 5 more; so all 15 hellstriders are on cav sized oval bases. I kept my Seekers on biker bases; Seekers come with bike bases in normal boxes and Wrath and Rapture, but oval cav bases in SC boxes. So...my Slaanesh army is “done”. Purchased, anyway. I still have a ways to go to make it ALL done.

Hunting down all my old catachan minis from years ago in the loft. Will have a bit of a summer project going on with my eldest lad.
He wants to build some purple primaris marines ala emperors children colours and want something fun to build and paint . So jungle fighters it is.

Finally starting to get paint on my Everchosen entry... I don't think I'll make it on time so I may just enter something different but we'll see how fast I get going.

Gonna prime 8 Hellstriders and their mounts (if the temp cooperated with primer) and maybe build the last two.
If there is still time (doubtful), I’ll finish painting my KoS and/or contorted epitome. I want my tournament list FULLY painted ASAP!

Building some of my Warhammer Conquest backlog, did some terrain and a Plagueburst Crawler. Tried to paint some CSM's, but it was too warm.

Trying to locate my mordor models! 2 warg riders and witch king of foot are missing for sure. Maybe some moranon orcs. I know I have them but my storage solutions, especially for unfinished models, isn't optimal

edit: found them.

Glued most of the Obelisk together. I'm just going to be happy to get it out of my pile of shame. It will be an easy paint job. Spray silver, airbrush blue and gold, dry brush, then wash. The C'Tan will also be pretty straightforward.

Painted a load of wooden counters to represent Tzeentch Horrors for DOTCL.

First painting after holiday in japan. 15 moranon orcs and 6 warg viders. Next up need all the metal.

Turned out decent imo.

Taking a painting break from a second Orc Blood Bowl team, reorganizing the hobby shelves, waiting for a Raven Guard update, saving money to buy The Battle of Pelennor Fields for a friend, assembling some Italeri Mongols, prepping some terrain test bases...

Further work on moranon orcs. Also got crazy idea of soloing tale of 4 gamers for LOTR. 4 forces at once ~250 pts per month(exact point total per month isn't set in stone but after 4 months 1000 pts lists done for each so one month could have 400 pts while other has 100 averaging to 250 pts per month. Serpent horde in particular makes 250 pts per month hard as mumakil alone costs more!)

I quickly banged out some AoS terrain. I also bought a plastic tub to store my terrain in...and it wasn't big enough for everything I have ...but I still need more terrain!

Still banging away at a board for Duels of the Crystal Labyrinth. Not an option at this time, but I certainly wouldn't mind a laser engraver...



...oh yes! Thats the Chaos Terminator Sorcerer who is also a wip. Yes, one day I might just finish something!

I think today will be some more dungeon dressing stuff...going to re-paint some old bits, and paint up a few new ones perhaps. Also re-touch some columns that need attention. On the dungeon kick hardcore...

Repainting a couple of die-cast cars for Infinity. Not very exciting, but I’m pleased with it so far.

I got around to simply repainting/painting a handful of dungeon dressing bits. Some are quite old and plaster-made...so I'll probably be looking for proper replacements. Touched up a few other bits though, so, it's something.

After something of a hobby hiatus, trying to get back into things. Decided on a whim, or maybe it's due to the heatwave, to debase all my Scions and rebase them on 32mm bases, rule of cool and all that, not like they'll see a game ever anyway. While I was doing that I also decided to take stock of what I've got and what I still needed to make a viable force. Decided to pop the arms off a pair of Tempestors to see if I could do some converting. The first being a Tempestor who has her pistol in her right hand for a change, along with a minor left arm conversion using the cybernetic from the Cadian command squad.



And also did a plasma gunner conversion using the grenade launcher arms and a spare Cadian plasma gun. One of the biggest problems with the Scions kit is how the plasma gun is presented, so to avoid having eight or so models all hold the gun the same way at ease.

Received one of my who knows by now how many packets are coming(another I got "you have packet waiting" card but it came day too early). This one contained 2nd hand isengard so sorted them out and started working on 12 uruk hai warriors, 3 berserkers, 9 scouts, captain and lurtz.

More work on my Deathwatch infantry batch #4. These guys are almost all just boltguns or shotguns. I know why I have so few bolters in my first 3 batches now, they're a pain to edge highlight! Batch 5 will be more or less the same as this one unfortunately for me.

Cleaning up my hobby space and prioritizing my projects...

My Warcry set came in at 8:30am today, and that plus day off means I've spent a lot of time cracking into it. Put together 2 terrain pieces (bell tower and statue head), all the Chaotic Beasts and the Untamed Beasts warband. Iron Golems are going to a friend

Just undercoated all of my Blackstone Fortess baddies. Just waiting for them to dry before I start slapping paint on them.

Painting up my exodite seer and basecoating my banshee squad at long last.

finished packing up a solo game of 40k Tau v Chaos marines......really good game. Should have stopped playing against people a very long time ago

Today I am hopefully going to assemble 30 more Guardsmen, 2 more Leman Russ tanks, and a Chimera. I also need to get out and pick up some green stuff so I can fill some gaps on my Ratling Snipers before I can finish assembling them.

I just started painting some half painted Cannon Crew for my WHFB Empire army that i had started almost 2 years ago. Which then caused me to take out 1000pts worth of troops so I can similarly repaint and update my old army.

And they will need an opponent to fight so I'm also finishing up 1000pts of Orcs and Goblins.

Designed short Kill Team game for the weekend( Tau vs Dark Eldar, 44pts ). Prepared some "Ryza ruins" I got this moring, ready for painting and for use in the game.

The release schedules have gone quiet so I'm now looking at getting into Age of Sigmar skirmish games.

finished basing and clear coating the blood angels i've been working on the last two weeks, then built 30 marines in mk3 armor i'll be painting as heresy iron warriors for someone else

managed to get a surprising amount complete on the 30 marines after i got home from work, should be able to finish the paint on them tomorrow after work if i can keep up the pace

Built up Talos and the Freikorps Strongarm for Malifaux, and the rest of the scatter terrain from the Warcry set. Now just have to build the ruins to have everything assembled for Warcry

Used bits from Hellstriders to make 20 Chaos Marauders into Slaanesh marked marauders. Started a paint scheme mostly using contrast.

Finished(barring few hairs of elves that I need new paint and uruk's need tuff that I ran out of) 13 uruk's, 17 lorien elves, 13 minas tirith guy and saruman. Started work on mumakil, grima wormtongue and 27 more uruk's of various types.

Was very productive 3 day painting weekend(due to having to take car to yearly check took day off for friday).

Bit of work on an AT Acastus Knight, and a lot of work on a plasticard version of the DOTCL game board. Its ready for painting, but looking into Tzeentch-style bits'n'bobs I can use to decorate it...

Just finished assembling a Chaos Terminator Sorcerer, who is mostly painted with just tiny details left to do. Really happy with him!

Painting a Bolt Action airborne mortar team and rebasing my Primaris Lieutenant. I originally glued him to a 32mm base (I got him second hand and his base was fethed up so I had to replace it) but, for whatever reason, GW has their Primaris characters on 40mm bases. Eugh. Thankfully the process didn't damage his paintjob.

Cleaned up and assembled an ogre warlock (Mantic) and cleaned up a steel behemoth. Looks like some sub-assembly painting is in order for the wonder of dwarf engineering though.

Got 27 uruk's to stage where all contrast paint is done. Next metals. Also started work on the mumakil. Damn that's one big model to paint...Doing it in small parts at time just to not get bored out of it(and rest for wrist from holding it). Oh and based all the models I painted on weekend.

Working on more BSF baddies. Really enjoying painting these guys, a nice break from power armour.

Painting the face of a stormcast eternal with some actual effort in comparison to my usual way of painting faces. Halfway done and it's looking okay!

Working on a second squad of 10 guardsmen for my Rogue Trader army. Have always loved the character of the older sculpts and picked some up cheaply on Ebay. Am determined to actually finish an army so I'm using the new contrast paints. The finish isn't as good as the traditional ones but good enough for me. It allows me to paint a 10 man squad in a day where as before I would struggle to complete 1 man.
