And I find myself holding my breath this year for the Maghariba sculpt to appear much like the Geckos this time last year... I do hope it is previewed soon and is a hefty chunk of metal.

I like the released ABH, appreciate Max, am a fan of Miranda, quite enjoy Lucien, and have played with the idea of using all of them in an Imperial list. But, this one, I'm not sold on him.
You don't have to be sold on it since it costs you nothing. Its free...
You don't like it, give it to someone you know who does like it. Problem solved.
I agree with the above about the loot. And it's not like the pouches are going to impede his power armored movements in a significant way. The folds of the jacket seem a little chunky, but I like it overall.
No mention of Joan. The guy, Andy Ruiz, does say the Angel will be presenting the book at the Hispania Wargames con in February 28th or March 1st but that it's unclear whether it'll be available for purchase there.
He also mentioned the the biggest part of the book, the part with the most weight, will be the masterclasses covering 10 different models not all of which are from Infinity.
Again, I don't think any of that info was new but there it is.
I like that the low model count required to play Infinity means a dedicated player could actually feasibly take the time to make a model for each result on booty (or metachemistry for that matter) table. Or at least those that had a large visual disparity from the norm.
I know it should be in the tournaments sub-forum, but it would just get lost there. It is one Month away, so I thought a timely reminder would be nice.
Now with pre-orders starting next Monday, how long will it be until we can get the books? Are we looking at a 1 month pre-order period, like with Icestorm (but hopefully without the wild underestimation of demand) or a 2 week period, or what?

Ah, that's where it vame from. Thanks. Still, given the servos etc. I'd hazard a guess it'll be a Miranda-like ABH unique personality with a set profile and gear. Seems a bit too tech-y for just the up-armored random table result.
As an ISS player I really really wanted ABHs to be awesome, but my experience with them has been meh. The Booty rule has so much potential, but getting to fallen enemies to grab their gear is really order-intensive. Only once have i done it, grabbed an HMG after investing maybe 4-5 orders (not worth it). Definitely could be fun if you're facing an autocannon though.
FWIW, my FLGS, Games and Stuff in Glen Burnie Maryland, has copies of Operation Icestorm in stock right now. And they have the "pre-order" stickers on them... Apparently, they're selling fairly quickly and there was about 6 left tonight. Not sure when they arrived or how many they got.
I think it's always good to see what we are talking about.
If it’s a ABH then I think he looks the part by carrying all his booty.
One thing oft not considered in the design of a miniature is where they would carry their booty! This guy is sorted with his A-team-style utility pouches.
In fact, I vote that we rename all ABH 'authorised booty hunters', but remember not to confuse that with booty of another kind!
Any recent news or updates on the new combined army thats comming out? Last I heard was in Aug and it said 3-4 months from then. Anything more definitive?
