There is one other thing I wanted to share with you. Its probably a little too orky for you but I thought it was a good idea when I saw it.
http://www.shapeways.com/model/237928/orky_hex_bolts.html?gid=mg
Obviously these are bolts rather than rivets but its a cool product

Post by: Viktor von Domm
very nice look, did you test them? the pic in the shop looks like a 3D image...this could be hlepful for other future projects tho...thanks for the linky asylum_inmate
as for coolness...
how about that?
the grill/vent is from Zinge... check out his blog here on dakka, he produces nice and good resin details for many purposes!
one question tho, as you now see the trackssystem in almost finished status...should i cover the treads like in some tankversions done or rather the open version?

Post by: Scrazza
It's looking good Vik! I really like all those tiny rivets. I think you should try it out, covering up the top tracks. Don't glue it on yet, have a look first, and see if you get the feeling right.
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
problem is if i want to do that i would need to cut away some substance of the treads beforehand...bloody problem right there...^^
oh and thanks...did a bit of the other tracksystem too but for sanity sake i had to make a pause^^
16217
Post by: Scrazza
Yeah, all the tiny bits would drive me crazy.
Just make some rough track covers maybe? about the shape you want the real ones to be. or you could just do a mockup, make another piece of track, with the covers on it. Just to see, though that would be a lot of work extra

Post by: Chibi Bodge-Battle
Good work Vik!
I would leave the tracks uncovered tbh as it has more the landship type feel

I have to be honest I have never ordered from that site. I just like finding suppliers of obscure bits, and thats how I found them
(These are what drew me to the site http://www.shapeways.com/model/243499/rude_techno_fist__f____you_.html?gid=rg, yeah, childish I know)
They just seem to do small scale 3D printing based on user submitted designs, if you got their homepage I think you can download the software to make your own designs, there are a few people who make warhammer compatible parts there so its worth looking around

Post by: Viktor von Domm
well if you would want to actualy buy a scratchbuilt j3r03n then this beast would be even heavier than shadowsword or a baneblade^^ ...and we aren´t done yet... much more to come...
thanks monkey, the vent really pushes the detaillevel forward! got quite a bunch of other items too that will feature from timne to time here...
well shrike i was a bit unsure as to let them be purely uncovered...hmmm seems they are worthy to be shown completly^^
the rivets are a tad big i guess but the look works quite fine for me...i have to find a middleway inbetween doable work and good looking i guess...as for need to know the rivets are 1.5 cm in diameter...
hazzer...wait till you see it painted...will be a gothic union jack then! by the way do you recon it would be cool looking if i add rivets to the union jack too? after all it is part of the sidearmor...
after your post i googled just for fun the word landship and got some realy impressive suggestions to prove your point chibi^^
scrazza:after my last riveted up tracksystem (both are completly done now!!!!) i let the idea slip for now...
asylum_inmate: lol that is a nice find... one might ask tho how you found that product and by what kind of search did it pop up^^ interresting concept to do small runs after customers own designs...this has to be kept for later use^^
oh and did i say i have done the second tracksystem too? well i did^^ so more to come tomorrow... i spare you the repititive pics^^ tomorrow then more fresh detailed stuff coming up^^
cheers and thanks for your nice comments^^

Super work mate, the rivest and plating suit you beast , and the vent is a welcome addition , who votes for Vik to paint his behemoth in wooden plank colours ? would make an interesting take on tanks .
2326
Post by: shasolenzabi
I wonder, if he rivetted the rest of the plates, maybe they would count as strips of metal armor? or is he going to do more of the special iron work like the main hull and turret have over laid on the "planks"?
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
at shaso:
is he going to do more of the special iron work like the main hull and turret have over laid on the "planks"?
well i had thought about that... i am a bit undicided about that if i would make with further "fretwork" detailing the tracks way to busy looking...your thoughts?
at neil:
the rivest and plating suit you beast lol...was that pun intended?^^ anvildude would probably... he came up with that idea too...tell you what, make a mockup if you are in the mood and i give it serious thought, deal?^^
at NecronBender:
thanks mate^^...definatly more to come^^
at Perkustin: seems there is a movement gathered here thats on the outlook for some wooden tanks? hmmm i have to give that some serious thought... if i recall correctly even my wife upon looking at the tracks said they looked like wooden planks...

ok, done a bit of try and error kind of to the tracksystem...i did an optional fretwork to the outer sides...err...pics describe it better i guess^^
is this too much or just good enough?

I would say that it looks the part!
The extra fretwork ties the sideplates in with the hull by having the same style. Good move imho

i read recently that even mini figs with weapons aren´t allowed anymore on planes...stupid eh?
as for whips... got a copperplated bum...so little to no effects for that...
30344
Post by: monkeytroll
New detailing adds a gak-load of coolness to the beast vik, and as to the Union Jack, I'd keep that un-riveted.
And someday you'll have to regale us with the tale of how you got your tail copper-plated.
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
thanks monkey, and my copperplated tail... now that would be telling^^, can´t have that , now can´t we?^^
as for the uniion jack getting rivets, you´re probably right, the victorians would have been bound to find a way to not to dishonour the flag by adding rivets to it...and besides, i think i would pretty much over do it then with the riveting...^^
been busy... all your nice and helpful comments are really boosting my creativity and productivity! thanks mates for that!
as the tracks are seemingly done, it is time to work on more technical thingies^^...behold the boiler ( WIP):
the flash did some crude effects on the glue but i guess once cured this will look quite good...note that this is very early wip status of the boiler and thus it will see some more work done in form of plating and stuff...
can anyone guess what inspiration was involved in the form of the boilder?^^

Excellent work Vik! the fretwork on the tread system is a nice touch and fits so well with the rest of the design concept.
Two schools of thought were side by side with Victorian design, the Industrialized minimalism, (Plain smooth plates with rivets/maybe welding,) and the artistic approach, and this tank looks like the artistic approach!
Now my Perun is from of course a cold austere industrial utilitarian approach of design concepts, hence why my big monster is all plates and rivets with only Aquilas added.
The Perun on my thread is all about cold, hard functionality.
Afterall, it comes from a cold, hard place.
Your beauty here is from a place that appreciates the functionality, but also appreciates form as well as the function.
The Khadrovians I feel would view your world as a decadent, and overly extravagant peoples!
For my IG art is for hanging on a wall, or standing in a museum as they see it. But your tank shows that your space Victorians believe that you can have both art as well as performance, in fact, your tank is an awesome display of performance art!

Post by: Anvildude
And what Shaso's just said is a pretty good summary of the Steampunk ideal, actually. Functionality, but done in a beautiful way.
And I still think Vik should try a wooden look. Just paint one of the sides brown and see how it looks. You can always paint back over it again.
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
thank you very much! i think with your words you have captured all that i have tried to achieve in one post! for me the victorians indeed represent a twisted in time and space version of the ourworldy victorian british army. the sense for art and fine materials cobbled together with the harsh funcionality of a brutal tool like the tank..."while we have to act brutal as we slay our enemies, we can still do it like artful gentlemen!"
tho i wouldn´t go as far as saying that your perun looks cold...not by a long shot my friend! won´t have something that unnice said about it! no, while i see they live in a harsh and unfreindly envireoment the khardovians have to rely far more on efficience than the victorians as i picture my guardsmen to mainly work their bloddy deeds in the lands like african steppe or the european trench wars...whereas you have the icy wastelands to conquer and hold...thus your imperials have a quite more hostile enviroment...the amount of detail you put into your perun simply makes it not possible to see it as cold... the tank has a soul...come to that most vehicles show some kind of charcter after time...if you insist the perun would lve up to it´s name and be a weapon starring powerhouse of untamed ferocity, steel clad and ready to smite its foes wherever they are...
the steamtank here is rather a more posh looking variant of a super heavy...they come to the front line eventually, but they will never be in a hurry...this would be an unforgiong ungentlemently behavior...thus not happening! ^^

see now it is obvious that this is indeed going to be a steampunk tank:
the pipes of the exhausts are made from cardboard bobbins.. thus perfectly cut to shape and good to glue on the hull...the connection between boiler and pipes is beneath the hull^^ clever idea, eh?
and the next thingy i want to share is specially for shrike to tempt him into buying a holepuch for his own:
a sentinel close combat weapon...made from plasticcard and done in the same fashion like the fretwork i did for the tank...it looks like the theeth of the sawblades...

@Neil101: True, the harsh functional beauty of the Perun is that is quite the functional monster, and will be effective for killing other vehicles, light vehicles and infantry Folks back in 1915 or so would have been stunned by this beasty!
Utilitarian Khaddies, and the dandy-esque Vik-torians.
@Vik: Awesome that the grill fit! Love the stacks, they fit it to a T! (Tea?) Yes, if you can, make re-inforcement bands for the stacks! when you paint the boiler-grill, make it all orangey-yellow to show it is burning fuel for the tank!

Now, when you finish, you'll need to take a look at some of the tutorials for smoke and steam effects- use those on your smokestacks, so they are belching black fumes from the burning coal.

glue-hard cotton wool and paint it black
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
hello friends! update time again!
first answer to your comments:
at shaso:
the grill to the boiler is the smaller version of zinges stuff, on the tracks the grills are the bigger version...thanks for the praise of the stacks, i was rather lucky to get a technique to cut the points out without any dammage caused to the bobbins...i used a fitting piece of wood inside the bobbins and thus the knife had something to press against...rather easy but someone has to think about this idea^^ thankfully it was me^^
at anvildude:
thanks, i new you would like them, i rumaged around my box of odd bitz and came up with that... i knew i wouldn´t get away with plain stacks^^ and you bet that there will be when finished some black oily smoky clouds billowing out of the stacks^^
at shrike:
neil has done some awsome flame and smokeeffects with some cottonwool i guess...before i do mine i have to take a refreshing peek at his gallery for insights^^
so i said above update... and i did some work... glue work that is...i firstly glued the sponsons to the main body...the tracks are currently still free but will be glued later on... they stit however around the sponsons and thus i was able to provide you with a footage to show an actual now tanklike looking scratchbuild that is not anymore in fear of falling apart^^
also note the last pic is a scale shot to show how really big this beast is compared to a mere predator tank i have lying around^^ and no it is not in fact an epic predator^^
front:
backside:
and the scale comparrision to the predator:
talk about true scale... any tank that big is true! period^^ (as in: no one could say after being rolled over by thsi: i can´t believe it... look at the size of that thing...in this behemoth you don´t have to belive in... just trust yer eyes^^
as of now i know what needs to be done... the insides of the tracks need taking care rivets wise and also rivets on the turret and the body...but still i think some details are missing.... i think one is that i need a means of entrance to the beast... tho i have an escape hatch in the front...beneath the lower flamer, but still there needs to be a main entrance...any ideas of you more known tankapreciaters out there? also what else do you think is needed still? i am open for suggestions!
cheers, vik

the scale was very...enlightening ^^
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
yup... i got pretty used to it´s size and then as i wanted to make scale shots for comparrision i thought why always use minis ? why not an actual tank...boy did i make a stupid face then...^^ the predator looks like a toy^^...er...then again...?°_°

LOL! Vik the tank of yours is truly massive! I think it even is bigger than Perun! I was inspired by you pics to take some size compariosns with a chimera and leman exterminator.
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
*looks sheepish* do you recon i overdid the size? well one thing is for sure... the aim was a more truescale tank...and then the predator is a very tiny can to begin with...
2326
Post by: shasolenzabi
Superheavies are allowed such scale Vik! You did it! that is looking about 1.75 times the width, and definitely twice the height of the Perun! I used a Chimera as they are about the same dimensions roughly as the predator. A Mighty big tank for the Apocalyptic future battlefield! It would make a Baneblade nervous! A definite 4structure point beast!

Post by: Chibi Bodge-Battle
A big girl with big guns indeedy!
and well stacked if I may so say
super stuff Vik just great to see how big she is.
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
i recon she must have at least a crew up to 10 men... i think she collects men^^
2326
Post by: shasolenzabi
I calculate that my Perun needs 10men, my estimate is that you need more for the steam system needs feeding crew as well as maintenance, maybe a 12 man crew as high as 14 for some land battleships!
Let us see, the 4 sponson guns, the driver, heavy flamer system, the main gun needs loader and gunner, commander, and at least an enginseer and servitors for the engines., 12 men needed,
Perun needs 4 sponson gunners, driver, radio/bow gunner, barbette operator, turret needs gunner and commander, and an enginseer.
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
that is a reasonable amount of crew, i before thought about two feeding and maintanance but i think your aproach is far much sensible. when i see this amount of crew i am a bit reminded at the manpower a stardestroyer of star wars needed...namly over 10.000 people... think about that when you see next time one of those ships going boom^^
by the way do you recon where i should make some entrance hatches? i am currently out of my wit where to add them...
2326
Post by: shasolenzabi
For a construct that big, safest areas are the belly and the rear. I would make a hatch to the left or the right lower rear. maybe a ladder on the back to the entry hatch on the panel just close to the stack. OR the lower facing panel on the mudd facing plate. Some tanks also had side armor door hatches made of armor for the crew to climb in through and then lock. Looking at the side panels, it will need a "ladder" and then be close to the front sponson area. But one on each side would also work. The belly hatch is usually an emergency hatch for escapes.

i see you all get fluent through steampunk in german^^ thanks
anvildude.. when i took the scaleshot pic i thought nothing of it... then i first saw it on screen i thought...urghh this can´t be right... then i thought NO, this is exactly right...a heavy monster like that must be that big...and with this monster one can actually imagine a crew fighting and living inside for some time! and when will we see some of your work? (haven´t forgotten about that^^)
at shaso: i think you are right i will try to make a basic deign of a hatch... i even thought of making hatches on each spnson on the top... tho then i wouldn´t know how the crew might climb there... the union jack is a definite likitation to the design...points for style... minus points for use it seems^^
the position near or beneath the stacks is a good idea, there it probably will be in good use...and i ladder i also have from zinge that just waites to be used^^ so if i am able to make some work done on the heavy then this will be it!

The proportions of the tank by itself look quite right and harmonic. However, to me the driver position and the hight turret seem to be too high - at least compared to the tiny tank.
Maybe you could do a scale shot with a standard IG trooper in front and one on the fender?
I think this would give an better idea of the scale and proportions - as those old tanks were in no relation to any reasonable size anyway
Cheers

at klaus: i will upload some scaleshots this evening, reasonable request^^ as for the heights of the turret and others... i tried to be as much truescale as i could...sometimes i grant you i may be a bit bigger than needed...has something to do with making up the shapes as i went along...next time i will do some more planned aproach on tankmaking! saw inbetween many falts i had to totally redo, thus creating sometimes a wild mix of not exact edges and angles...this wont happen next time! i figured that in the turret the gunner would be rather standing behind the mechanisms rather than sitting...well that was my reasoning behind some measurements at least... at lukewild 1982: the size is rather not a feature that gives me problems, the main cuase i built it wasn´t gamerealted...so rules and such things didn´t aply here all that much...it was a (bigger than i thought) sideproject to go along my growning imperial army...there will be other vehicles coming in the time being and these will benefit greatly from some of the facts i learned with this tank...besides i restocked my tools quite a bit since i started this and thus better parts can now be made^^ cheers to all, vik

so my friends i promised some scaleshots and although they are later then i wanted here they are...
viewpoint in the front and vet
entry hatch in the rear and two vets
turret with hullstanding vet
sponson with two vets for scale and height comparrision
and some vets in a nonchanlantly kind of way lounging around the steamtank...
also some hatchshots for detail showoff^^
emergency front hatch (with flash)
without flash for better detailshoing
and the rear entry hatch full view
beside taking pics i got a bit lazy on the tank...i hope i can motivate me to work further on him today...
cheers, vik

Definitely the Superheavy class of tank, and roomy inside except for the internal gears.

also pretty stuffy one might geuss... after all there is a steamboiler and coal and all such things...maybe they went for crude oil to be used instaed of oil...this would help a bit...

Looking good Vik, any idea what color scheme you will use?
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
on the vets or the tank?
the tank will be a sandy color with a bit of off white and some red aplicvations...the vets done in a aussie fashion might get a totally new scheme... i am pretty stuck with the sandy and red and white... after all my SM are done with the exact same colors too... so a nice and refreshing scheme might be needed here...

do you mean "knusperhäuschen"? like that:
so you refer to the fretwork i did with the holepunch? that should be done in tinbiz and black? so a rather darker tank you suggest? something like a steam lokomotive? hmmm this is at least a working scheme...the only problem i see it wouln´t realy well blend in with the rest of the army... tho i give you that thsi could be done with less effort as the tinbitz would only need to be used as detail and drybrush for weathering...hmmm...someone got thoughts to that too?

I did not build that thing! BUT knowing GW and the fluff, the treads have the engines and power plants for the mobility inside them. I did however catch it years ago on Warseer, and the guy also built Tau monstrosities as well as that OGRE sized beast!

just a shame no-one randomly goes to GW with a 5k army, I don't plan ahead and just go "hm, I wanna go to the LGS today" unless something's happening, and my only regular gaming buddy collects CSM
but yeah. one thing I NEVER forget to bring, no matter what- my 5 man BP/ CCW scout squad Caddius. They've killed more stuff than any of those others.

just a shame no-one randomly goes to GW with a 5k
well i guess thtas why malifaux and warmachine have so much going for them these day...small armies with not too many minis and you can carry them around in only one case...a 5k army of IG, orks or `nids...no way... there goes the spontanety...
so...in an effort of getting things on the way...now my wife and oldest son have joined the fray of rivet making...one reason for me to postpone further wok on the steam tank and get myself dissatracted with other things was that my lower arms get strained rather easy by making millions of rivets...thus my wife and pascal helped me out and made quite a billion rivets for me...thus i had no excuse left and i gone to town on the tank again rivetstyle^^
so here is a still not finshed job but what is now left to do is only minor costemtic chores^^
full view:
front with TW Flamers...here you see some of the still needed work, needs rivets in the inside of the tracks...
turret in all it´s riveting glory...
and the backside to show the boiler and stacks with rivets to bolt things down^^
to be frank...i didn´t include the bottom into the riveting frenzy...there would be rivets needed there but i´ll be damned if i did that...^^
thanks for droping by mates...

Always good to see a rivetted backside.
this reminds me of jackass (curtesy of MTV... not that i enjoyed that show much...)
rivets are for me the thing that makes a vehicle into a steel beast... without them i would doubt that they are done with steel...i couldn´t really take unriveted tanks seriously...that why maybe i can´t picture myself to go for eldars or tua...they have little to nothing that draws and holds the eye to their surfaces of tanks...they both apear to me way to slippery...

at anvil due... i thought about that for wuite some time...for the lower part...connecting to the frame of the hull i did a glue sort of connection with rivets...i have high hopes there...but i too feel the need of some bands on the higher parts of the stacks...the thing is i would have to make the bands and get then some connective seams...is that a problem? i was unsure of that...thats why i havne´t done them yet...any ideas or am i worrying too much?^^ on the bands of course there will be rivets^^

well i too thought about giving my men some kind of backpacks for a better and working soldier look...for stormtroopers i had thought about cuttting down some vents and pipes of standard marine powerpacks...maybe add some gasmasks... the ones GW used to produce...this might be a good idea... tho i cant see me buying stuff from maxmini in the nearer future... mostly i buy used stuff via ebay... somehow as i am unemployed i feel less guilty to spend my money for recycling stuff for my army than buying it first hand...
and this here i will do one day in a nice scratchbuilt:

You just made me think that one of the Minimax steamhelms might look really cool on a suitable human.
Sort of superior Ned Kelly.
I actually used those Steamknight Helmets along with their Jetpacks...which got me a result damn close to one of GW's newer releases.
Let me scrounge up a pic...

at chibi... maxmini has without a doubt so many beatiful and nice bitz and bites...one could really loose oneself in their shop...
ned kelly...holy...looked him up...gosh... Automatically Appended Next Post: for a pre-heresy look these helmets and the jetpacks look quite fitting... for standard marines...so post heresy i think they look a tad to big on the backs...tho the helmets have a ton in style ... this might balance that then^^

They are my Death Guard Raptors, so they were active during the Heresy ^_^
As for the technological developments....Isnt the Imperium kind of going backwards? The more advanced stuff is all older, archaic and technology is lost as time proceeds?
eBay is ones friend if you look to recycle. Thats where I got a big starting chunk for my Deathwing. Got a landraider, five termies, a dreadnought and a bike all in a single bundle for under 40 bucks.
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
whoa... then you kind of robbed someone... a landraider alone normaly goes for at least 35 euros...is that in the netherlands different?
yep the IoM is pretty getting dumber by the minute....they really waste away...i see them one day fight against `nids with sticks and stones...and thats not funny...i think before all that techno theocracy thing they really were the best faction around only maybe bested by the eldar... but for tech i think the tau are on the winning road...
43327
Post by: j3r03n
Actually for me on the GW Site:
- Terminator Squad: 35
- Landraider: 52
No clue what a Dread is going for at the moment though....and yes I did kinda totally 'rob' someone hehe

Yeah someone on another thread mentioned a big thumper Cannon thingy and it is £30!!! Know what you mean about recycling Vik am in the same boat as you. Not checked Maximini prices yet so in my head I can afford them! I was just thinking as I was reading above, that the packs I have could be converted. I doubt if I will ever build my SW's army. GW and I are not friends anymore. So I can just chop up my guys for skirmishy games !

Post by: j3r03n
I actually just took apart some space marine / terminator hybrids I made years ago....and ordered in new bits from eBay to return them to full Terminator Status.
I found that using the bits places can actually work out a hell of a lot cheaper, if you shop around some.

Nice work there Vik! got the family involved with rivet works eh? Now when are ya gonna add rivets to the inner tread sections? (the ones facing the hull of the tank)?

Post by: Joshh
Wow, nice tank! And those Assault Marines are kickass.
By chance, could you tell me how to do those rivets? I'm doing a similar (if smaller) scratchbuild and I'm looking to get some rivets going too. Thanks!

Post by: Anvildude
Good way to to reinforcement bands, I found, is to just wrap some thin paper or plasticard around, and let it overlap itself. Then put the rivet on the overlap.

Death from above only works when you have badass helmets, and you do have those, so time for some dynamic entrys.

of course... this i will do so...can´t understand why i didnt thought of that myself...
toady even my middle sone was eager to help with the rivetmaking... unfortunatly he is better in inventing cruel machines than his hands are strong enoough to press the punch^^

tell you a secret... after the tank is done...gods provide time and motivation...i have a thing to do for my middle son...we recently read and reread the old imp codex and he showed me the "policemen" guardsmen...namly the mordians...now i optained some 30 something models via ebay of the old void minis and will make him a quickly done police force...maybe then we can get a game on...a bit necromunda style arbites...

Yes Helghast...I actually have that same picture waiting to be used for a paint scheme.... I knooooow! *whiiiine*
Remember all those Dwarf Squats I made....where I used actual Cadian Arms, from actual Cadian boxed sets?
I got arms from eBay and assembled all 40 of them...even got 6 extra out of the Heavy Weapon legs. 16 Special Weapons, 8 Flamers, 8 Grenade Launchers, 5 Sergeants and the rest troops.
I also mentioned the 50 Pig Iron troopers I had...so I got about a 100 Imperial Guard Models assembled now..

now as you say it, the pig iron heads... yep..i remember...
i have never heard of helghast before...a game? the link was just from google pic search...
and in shops you get the HW legs rather cheap... so i used them too as much as i could...
by the way... i still have some catachan legs i would love to attach to a cadian torso... but there is that issue with the double belt then...how to solve...and dont say shave one off too fast... it isn´t that easy... i tried and ruined one alredy... was a recycled one but stil...

Helghast are indeed from a game. Namely KillZone....and they are depicted as being somewhat futuristic space nazi's of sorts. Not exactly the most lovely of backgrounds, but they do look way cool.
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
thats the thing with nazis anyway... they are crap... but you have to grant them they look the sharpest while doing atrocities...horrible truth... and i say this with a great grandfather that was in auschwitz...
there is something about a black clad officer...that old gemran WWII helmet and these boots...somehow you feel lower when you see these peeps... the designers knew their stuff when they made the uniforms...
43327

Yes they did. Im going for the black clad, glowing eyes, gas masked, bayonet look. ....which is a mouth full.

j3r03n - Sorry, didn't see that there Some good stuff there, and found another company begging for my credits (Scotia Grendel). But vik is right, you should throw some of it up on here, if everybody posts on Dakka it makes it so much easier for us to keep track of everything
vik - look at the troopers in my chaos blog, most of those are cadian torso's on catachan legs with the belt chopped off. Alternatively, just make sure they have plenty of gear on their belts.
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
to say the least...have you looked into wargames factory stuff for your army as well? in your blog i got you a link of an ebay seller that even sells arms seperatly and even heads...tho i have the german eads now about over a dozen now...
there are cthulu heads as well in these sprues... you could use those for psykers and such like models...would look cool i guess...
43327
Post by: j3r03n
I did actually order in arms seperately...and some bits for converting....and some stuff to re-complete my Space Marine terminators....
And...
I am starting to come around about maybe making a P&M blog but I got no clue on where to start, do I repost....start over...wut? I also dont want to abandon my blog so I need to dual post (which is doable even if the Dakka layout is less pretty ^^).

Vik and Monkeytroll, I made my Vasily's violators using cadian torsos and ctatchan legs with SM arms. I however did not clip ithe second belt off as that gave me more space to work with for all the gear they have on, and it made them more "Heroic" sized for me.
