It's not Iron Man, it's Wolverine. The guy's name is Howlett and he has three small claws popping out of the downed hand and the back hand has detail that can be seen as three claws. Well played, Mantic...

I think they saw Alpha's post. The latest update is titled "I am...". And what am I? As Alpha said: I am Iron Man. Sergeant Howlett. So he's Iron Man crossed with James Howlett (aka Logan aka Wolverine). Ahh feth it! *adds book* *adds $8 for Iron Wolverine*

Hey there was an iron spiderman, why not iron wolverine. That one is cool, not sold on the "middle management" space elf or 100% on the zombie fish-wife, but if the rrest are as cool as iron wolverine I may pick up the bundle.

I'm well over twice what I was going to spend on the warpath kickstarter. Its madness. Helps that they have done a triple threat though... awesome boardgame with lots of bolt-on rules and expandability... sick terrain including some sweet antenocitis bundles... and compatibility with warpath!

The Dreadball one was $12 so probably not more than $15 - remember this is already sculpted they just need to make a new weapon arm and maybe change one or 2 details but a separate arm is most cost efficient for them..

Oddly enough the hard cover rulebook was the straw that broke this camels back.
The BOGOs are nice, zombie are sweet, but it's all Q2 2014, when I expect I'll be neck deep in Warpath Kickstarter.
I'm in for Strikeforce and the two rulebooks, which I'm hoping will be ready by December, and that's it at this point.
Still sitting on 8 unpainted and unplayed Dreadball teams waiting for the rest of the models to fill out their rosters.

How exactly does one buy time with their is pledge payment date? I have been billed immediately after every KS has ended. I dropped my pledge level to avoid causing issues but payday is Friday and if I can hold it off I can pledge a lot higher.

Is there a list of stuff that's first/second shipment? I've also seen people talk about a second survey.. Does that mean there's a chance to add items to your second shipment items.. Could you add additional first shipment items to your second one?

Post by: GrimDork
I think people have suggested using amazon's grace period, if they charge you and theres not enough money they give you a week or something? Better get a confirmation from someone more in the know on that though. You can also add money whe nthe survey comes out to get what you want, it just doesn't add to the total for stretches.

Amazon generally gives you some time to pay if the first payment fails. How long that is, I don't know, as I usually pay up pretty a day or two after.

You get a week after the Kickstarter ends.
Had this problem with a pledge on a game I decided to back at a much lower price level and forgot to change the pledge amount to something more reasonable.
Amazon will remind you, Kickstarter will remind you, EVERYTHING will remind you to take care of it by a certain date.

I was wondering about some of what Mantic is up to, as illustrated by DaveC's pledge 'shifting', but obviously it is working, as they've brought in 600 new backers in the last 3 days (includes this one, which has a ways to go!), at an average of $257 per backer!

Well, I think the "terrain-only" pledges - for all the "demands from the community" - wasn't as hot as many perhaps thought (even though it still "sold" respectably). There're still plenty of early bird Terrain-Bundles left.
With the exception of Dwarfen Forge - "games" seems to do significantly better than "terrain", and Mantic is running with it.

I don't mind though, I'm happy that I was able to get a bunch of eyeballs on to the KS page.
Interesting blog post there, if you estimate a typical conversion rate of 2% on clicks, and an average pledge level of $250 or so, then 1000 referrals raises $5k for the KS total.
Definitely a very smart move, and one I will keep in mind when running my own kickstarter. You make a good point about it favouring the top few, so I think I'll do some randomly-selected rewards as well when setting up jamplify.

It’s been an amazing month and we’ve achieved so much.
We’re going to have a great and flavourful gaming system and a brilliant community on launch, as well as a fantastic scenery range. For a small company like ours it makes all the difference – we never could have dreamed of achieving all of this!!
We cannot thank you enough,
Ronnie, Jake, Chris, Stewart, Curis and James + the rest of the Mantic Team!
Right then… what’s next?!
$1,015,000 – Sergeant Howlett
Most Enforcer sergeants are steady in battle, calmly holding a line when others have fled, or advancing methodically by long-established drill. Sergeant Howlett comes from a different school of tactics.
Most Enforcer sergeants rise through the ranks through the tactical units and it has long been acknowledged that this offers the best all-round training for a prospective leader. Tactical units face the widest variety of combat situations and foes, so the mettle of a trooper is tested most thoroughly. Sergeant Howlett has only ever served with assault units.
Most Enforcer sergeants hang back slightly from combat, their duties being to direct the battle as a whole rather than show individual prowess. If personal leadership does need to be shown then they naturally lead an advance, but always as part of a key move within the structure of the overall operation. Sergeant Howlett leads by example, charging recklessly into the thick of battle to personally cut down as many of those who oppose the will of the Seven as he can. If others follow, that’s fine by Howlett. If not, then he’ll chew them out later, back at base. If they live.
If we hit this goal we can sculpt and tool Sergeant Howlett. Add him on to your pledge now!
NEW! $1,050,000 – Deadzone Plague/Corporation Strider
If we hit this goal, we will sculpt and tool the Strider LSV (Light Strike Vehicle) in Resin. We will make a Corporation and a Plague version.
NEW! $1,065,000 – Eddak P’mera, Yndij Hunter
NEW! $1,080,000 – Bjarg Starnafall, Forge Father Character
Let’s get to it!

Sweet, mission accomplished.
@Lansirill: Beta list is coming for Rebs, they just can't get it out before the end of the campaign.
If you want a Warpath army for them, my recommendation is 2x rebs starter (free in strike team) + 2x rebs booster bundle ($50). As a rule of thumb, you'll need 3 models of the same type to form a warpath unit.. see the plague list for how its organized.
That should get you at least 1000 points for Warpath.

For Warpath. I was hoping to use it to give me an idea of how to allocate my pledge (bonus starter, BOGO, add-ons) since they're likely what I'd like to play in Warpath, but eh, I can always just wait for the Warpath KS to do that. I'll probably just go heavy on Plague.

Update #85 · Jun 2, 2013 · comment
It just keeps going up and up and up! Madness!
That’s Sergeant Howlett in AND we're less than 100 backers away from a new Nexus Psi Scenario!
Get him here:
Next up:
$1,050,000 – Deadzone Plague/Corporation Strider
We will sculpt and tool the Corporation and Plague Strider in resin and make him available to add-on to your pledge:
This kit is also compatible with our Warpath Mass Battle Game.
$1,065,000 – Eddak P’mera, Rebs Named Character
The twin moons were both full, casting stark shadows across the quiet remains of what had once been a busy loading bay at the Nexus Psi spaceport. A year ago this would have been bustling all 26 hours a local day. Now all was quiet. A lone sentry shifted his weight from foot to foot, scanning his assigned sector and trying to stay awake while his comrades snatched some well-earned rest.
Silently, unnoticed, one of the shadows slowly changed shape and merged into its neighbour. A gust of wind blew some loose papers across the open space in front of the sentry and for a moment he was awake, but only for a moment. It was rubbish in the wind. Nothing to worry about.
The sentry relaxed again and once more the shadow moved, always slightly outside his field of vision. It was as if the darkness itself was stalking its prey.
This darkness was the Rebel scout, Eddak P’mera. The sentry hadn’t spotted him yet. Probably never would. Humans were so inattentive. Without turning, P’mera signalled to the rest of his squad who slid silently out of the shadows and began to make their final approach. He would use his crossbow to take care of the sentry…
We will sculpt and tool Eddak P'mera, the Rebs Named Character.
Add him on to your pledge now!
UP NEXT!

I REALLY want to keep this one at $400 - any idea on what is a 'must buy' during the Kickstarter?
The Resin Walkers?
The characters?
Strike Team is a no-brainer...
Do we know what the terrain pricing will be post-Kickstarter?
Help!
39827
Post by: scarletsquig
^ Everything can be bought in the survey (and second survey), with the same deals, except for the $400, $500 and $750 rewards. And of course, the basic pledge levels.
And with the $750 free book you can buy it as an add-on, at least... not sure if that will be available in the second survey since it's a limited print run.
No idea on terrain pricing post-KS, the minis look like the best deal, IMO as far as radical discounts go.
I also heard that the mats might have to retail for around $40 rather than the $20 KS price.

Strike team and booster bundles seem the most essential due to high discounts I think. The zombie pack is good too if you need them.

@SS and people wondering about warpath. If its a smaller model sized unit like standard infantry, you will often be looking at 5s. Bigger stuff like the 2nd gens, striders, etc are 3's. Even the valkyr bikers are 5 man.

Post by: Ronin_eX
Alright, restructuring my pledge a bit now. The bag is nice, but my need for minis and terrain have won out over the more utilitarian stuff. Upgraded to an Urban War pack and will be grabbing one of those mechs. Leaves $30 to play with in the meantime if something else comes up (already in for the character bundle). If nothing catches my eye then it is enough to push me toward the B3G4F deal on the zombies... because apparently I'm a masochist.

Yeah...if this isn't an homage to Jimmy 'Logan' Howlett, I have no idea what is. So in the Mantic range, we currently have Iron Man (Enforcers), Wolverine (in Iron Man armor), Colonel Nick Fury (corporation captain-just add eyepatch). My desire for a marvel army nears completion...

Up to you. Do you just want to play small scale games or do you like the idea of expanding it larger? I'm inn for 6x4 worth of maps so it'll be useable for 40k and allow deadzone to scale up really large for big team games. You could start small and expand later if you decide you like it for a safer bet.

I'm only getting the single mat that comes with Strike Team. I figure I can easily make my own 3 inch grid on a table top if I want to play larger games.

Post by: deleted20250424
Alright dammit...I went up another $150.
Strike = 142
5 Mats = 90
4 Battlezones - 1 Core, 1 Fort, 2 Damaged = 95
Dual Scenery Pack - Military and Warehouse = 65
Ast/FF Starters = 50
3 Boosters + 3 Free - 1 of each = 150
AI Deck = 8
Striders = 40
Characters = 45
Loot Counters = 10
Zombies = 45
Chovar = 10
Worst case scenario, we don't unlock all the characters and I have to rearrange during Pledge Manager, or I scrap the last things I added on and get a second Strike.

Yeah, that Strike Team was probably mine. :-) I upped my pledge to Assault Team. The amount of money I have wrapped up in this now is getting crazy. My buddy and I are going in on this together, but still, we're in over $600 at this point. And I'm tempted to find a way to bump up the pledge until I can get the hardback rulebook for free. Not hard considering all I'd need to do is add some more Asterian and Forge Father stuff.

$600 man thats serious money, I'm up to $245 and thats with going half with my little bro (whos also a wargamer), might increase my pledge by $40 for that ltd-ed book.
Of course if theres a pledge manager later I'll end up adding alot more.

Yeah, the hard cover is tempting. But I would need to drop something at this point to free up $40, since at $700 in, I just don't have any gaming budget left to push it to $750. Course, I was originally going to stop at less than $500. If we get past this group and a must have item comes up, I may try to justify another $50 worth of stuff.

I'm still not sold on Mantic's sculpting quality, but the deals look interesting so I've put in a placeholder $10. I figure by the time the pledge manager comes out we should have some more models to look at, so if need be I can upgrade to a decent pledge level and some add ons.

It is a lot of money, but I've recently gotten out of 40K and sold off my Tau army so I've got some spare cash. Plus, I'm looking for a new game system and this looks fun, not to mention a friend and I tried out the Warpath 2.0 rules and found them really enjoyable, so the cross over potential is great.

Update #86 · Jun 2, 2013 · comment
Well what do you know – that’s the Corporation and the Plague Strider locked in!
Up next:
$1,065,000 – Eddak P'mera
We will sculpt and tool Eddak P'mera, the Rebs Named Character, and make him available to add-on to your pledge!
$1,080,000 – Bjarg Starnafall
From the press release:
“Designed specifically as the premier equipment for the discerning modern scout, Hammerfist orbital drop armour is a fully enclosed, self-powered, autonomous survival suit. Its main use is to protect the wearer from serious environmental dangers including (but not limited to) exposure to hard vacuum, micrometeorite strikes and solar radiation – all common workplace hazards for the lead scout/prospector in today’s competitive resource-farming industry.
A secondary function of the Hammerfist design is to protect the wearer from indigenous life forms whilst performing his prospecting duties in the field. The inbuilt mining laser doubles as both a robust core-sampling tool and accurate ranged weapon with both burst and duration selectors as standard. Easily controlled manoeuvring engines allow the wearer to navigate in zero gravity or planetside with equal ease, with a duration in standard use of up to 4 days (depending on onboard supplies).
The Hammerfist has been tested under the most rigorous of conditions and the widest of environments without any reported structural or mechanical failures. Reliability is 100% and every suit comes with a lifetime guarantee.
Bjarg Starnafall says ‘I’m never without my trusty Hammerfist’.”
If we hit this goal, we will sculpt and tool Bjarg Starnafall – a Forge Father in Orbital Drop Armour.
Add him onto your pledge!

The Enforcers at least were modified digital scans of Remy's work, if i remember correctly. The DB Robots and the mech are 100% digital though, I believe.

Heh, don't think I have the extra $49 (though I may be able to do it if I see something I need). Basically just dropped my whole budget in to the pledge amount and decided to sort it out as they day wore on. After accounting for all my bits, I had $30 left over that I have been earmarking for different things. If the Forge Fathers get another LRV before the end, then I may throw caution to the wind and do it. But for now, I think I'm good, even without the book.

well, almost up to the orbital drop dwarf. I guess I'll be adding him after the pledge managers come out. So, it looks like when this is over, I'll be adding

I hear you on this, I haven't had hot water (other than the electric shower) for 6 months. Newfangled nonsense that takes up a carbon-monoxide-threat-ilicious corner in my bedroom and drips from time to time. Too expensive to fix the thing. Move out next month though!

Faction Boost!
Update #88 · Jun 2, 2013 · 9 comments
And another one bites the dust - that's Bjarg Starnafall in!
$1,100,000 - Marauder Stuntbot
An older generation Strider combat suit, the Stuntbot is piloted by a single dextrous Goblin who, with a fully enclosed set of armour and a big gun, suddenly isn’t that frightened of getting into a scrap.
If we hit this goal, we will sculpt and tool the Marauder Stuntbot in resin and make it available for you to add on to your pledge.
NEW! $1,120,000 – Faction Starter Boost!
After some discussion with our toolmaker, it turns out we can still get some more models into the Faction Starters.
So, if we hit this goal, we will boost your Faction Starter(s) to their full contents!
We will add:
- 1 Enforcer with Heavy Rifle with the Enforcer Faction Starter
- 1 Plague 3rd Gen with the Plague Faction Starter
- 1 Rebs Human Trooper with the Rebs Faction Starter
- 1 Warden with Charge Glove with the Asterian Faction Starter
- 1 Brokkr to the Forge Father Faction Starter
Note that with the addition of two sets of weapons and arms to the Marauders earlier in the campaign, the Faction Starter is already at its full capacity – sorry Orx Fans!
However, don’t be too upset…

No, the $40 hardcover has lots of additional content that you'll only have in PDF otherwise (eg the Nexus Psi campaign & other stuff)
Actually, the Nexus Psi campaign is one of the things that will be in the Compendium, but the collector's book has the actual core rules (the compendium only includes the extra rules (e.g. Solo, Zombie etc.)), the short stories, a developer diary and an extra scenario, all in one place.
So, essentially, it's the rulebook, the compendium, the digital writings plus a developer diary and extra scenario all bound in one hard-back book. Probably going to be a bit of a hefty bugger!

Zrakan let rip with another massive burst of fire, his grinning green face shuddering with the fierce recoil. “Raaaagh!” he shouted out of pure excitement. “Eat that!” He fired again and again, pausing only to shout abuse and reload. The mutant bodies were stacked high now, but still they kept on coming, clambering over the shattered corpses of their fallen comrades to get down the narrow alley to the Orx’ position.
The click of another empty magazine and Zrakan was looking around for more ammo. Only one clip left. Where were those reinforcements? The enemy certainly didn’t seem to be running out. Things might be getting interesting pretty soon.
Slapping the last mag into the weapon, Zrakan aimed down the alley once more, but before he could pull the trigger he noticed that the attackers had paused. Saving his ammo Zrakan watched and waited for the next surge that was sure to come. Then, without warning, a body flew through the air, smacking into the alley wall. Another mutant was smashed against the others and several went down in a tangle of limbs. From the shadows a massive figure crashed into the horde, slashing this way and that with buzz-saws and blades, tearing into them with point blank fire from a dozen guns that ripped great holes in their ranks. In mere moments the blood-spattered figure had smashed through the broken attackers to stand in the alley entrance, gore dripping from his blades and armour.
“Oh Radgrad”, said Zrakan “there you are.”
If we hit this goal, we will sculpt and tool Chief Radgrad, the Marauder Named Character!

Nope when kickstarter shows hours left it rounds down to the nearest full hour so 2 hours 59 minutes shows as 2 hours left no time has been added it's just that minutes left is more accurate.

Pacific wrote:Is it just me or did an extra hour get added to the clock?
The way KS counts down is a bit weird (mostly because it eschews giving an exact number of minutes). When the clock switches to N hours it is rounding down and tends to mean N hours and 59 minutes.

Alright finally pledged for $301!
Strike team, AI deck, 4 for 3 boosters, an extra mat and urban fight to fill my 2x4 with terrain. And a few extra dollars for characters and a printed compendium!
Looks great - I can't wait!
Just to be sure - you can increase but not decrease your pledge later, correct? So I can add more later if I want, or get friends to go in with me?

Update:
NEARLY THERE! Battlezone Upgrade and Female Enforcer!
Update #90 · Jun 2, 2013 · 2 comments
Wow – that’s the Boost your Faction goal smashed and Radgrad is nearly in!
Add Radgrad on now either individually or part of a “Get all 6 Bundle” for $45!
Up next!
$1,150,000 – Defense Line Upgrade Scenery Sprue
If we hit this goal we will sculpt and tool the Defense Line Upgrade Scenery Sprue and upgrade one of the 4 Fortifications Sprues in the Battlezones.
This upgrade sprue will contain all new designs expanding your scenery options and is compatible with any of the Battlezones.
$1,170,000 - Female Enforcer Pathfinder Sniper on Infiltrator Bike
We will sculpt and tool a Female Enforcer Pathfinder with Sniper Rifle on Foot and on Bike.
This Enforcer Recon Unit motors around the battlefield to get to new locations before dismounting and setting up the shot.
You can add on a Pathfinder on Foot and Pathfinder on Bike set for $20.
This is crazy! 90 mins to go!

The only characters: i.e.: Mercenaries or Leaders that aren't included are the Chovar Psychic jellyfish thing, the Helfather, and all of the new Leader characters they just unlocked. That's a total of $63. $45 for the new Leader package, $8 for the Helfather, and $10 for the Chovar.

This is going NUTS.
As in, Robotech levels of crazy.
Anyone browsing - Not too late to pledge, but don't leave it until the last half hour, kickstarter/ amazon payments is notorious for going offline when large KS's like this one end.

So strike level gets me all the characters apart from the six special ones, and those two just mentioned above aye?

DAMNIT!
I was *this* close to sticking by my initial pledge, with minor pondering of a second Ironman assault sergeant. Then they had to add a female enforcer.
Since it's a relatively minor uptick (and not one that will factor in on any KS rewards), I might just wait until the end. Another question for you fine folks though; courier shipping to the US worth $15 if I'm looking at a pledge in the Morathi/Yonan realm of Suppression+?

So, I think I've found a way to calculate up to exactly $751
Strike Team Early Bird 1: $150 - $10 = $140
Character Bundle: $45
Chovar: $10
Helfather: $8
EU Factions: $50
3x Booster Bundles: $50 * 3 = $150
4 packs of Zombies: $45
3x Mechs: $20 * 3 = $60
1x Pathfinder: $20
Urban Battle: $95
Detailing Bundle: $65
Acrylic Counters: $20
Loot Counters: $10
T-shirt: $25
AI Deck: $8
-----------
And, as far as I can tell, nothing really obviously missing.
39827
Post by: scarletsquig
@Morathi That's correct. Although it looks like there's a $20 female enforcer on bike and foot coming up too.
You'll also get the exclusive unique resins for pledging $400+ and $500+ pre-survey, and the hardback signed book free for pledging $750+ pre-survey, so you're totally covered for 100% of the exclusive stuff.
$800 will get you pretty much anything you want, that much cash is basically a solid "pledge now, and sort out the details later in the survey" amount... you can get tons of minis and fill a 6x4 board with terrain for that much.

Yes, but you need to pledge pre-survey to qualify for the $400, $500 and $750 freebies. (unique sculpts for the rebs commander and plague 1st gen, cast in resin and hardback signed ultimate book with everything in it).

All of Mantics KS's have had pledge managers/surveys so far, this one should be the same.
@Necros
Put in a $10-15 pledge in for now and just add to it later with the survey if your intrested in this but don't have the cash right now, just an idea.

Update:
Boomer!
Update #91 · Jun 2, 2013 · comment
And that's the Defence Line Upgrade Sprue locked in!
Up next:
$1,170,000 - Female Enforcer Pathfinder Sniper on Infiltrator Bike
We will sculpt and tool a Female Enforcer Pathfinder with Sniper Rifle on Foot and on Bike.
This Enforcer Recon Unit motors around the battlefield to get to new locations before dismounting and setting up the shot.
You can add on a Pathfinder on Foot and Pathfinder on Bike set for $20.
NEW! $1,180,000 – Boomer, Marauder Grenadier
Boomer’s odious habits and utter lack of personal hygiene skills are gaggingly obvious from several metres away. Few would socialise with him voluntarily without some pressing incentive for his undoubted skills with explosives and encyclopaedic knowledge of grenades. What’s also obvious from the briefest of encounters with him is that he is completely insane, and whilst somewhat worrying in an explosives specialist most commanders assume that one follows from the other fairly naturally and so accept his foibles to have his skills.
In terms of who he is and where he came from, nobody’s asked. Boomer probably had a real name at one point; probably had a family, clan or other group to which he felt allegiance. Maybe people even liked him. Who can tell? These days he is nothing more nor less than an expendable asset who hires his not inconsiderable skills out to anyone who can pay the exorbitant fees (and stand his presence for more than five minutes). He has quite a few takers.
If we hit this goal, we will sculpt and tool Boomer, a new named Marauder Character.
Add him onto your pledge for $8.
NEW! $1,200,000 – Urban Pattern Iron Ancestor, Forge Father Vehicle
If we hit this goal, we will sculpt and tool the Urban Pattern Iron Ancestor.
This resin kit can be used to upgrade the plastic resin Iron Ancestor with Heat Cannon, new backback and a new close combat arm. We will supply the whole kit - the resin upgrade kit and the Iron Ancestor - for you to add on to your pledge.
Work in progress art - we're thinking drill rather than hammer. Thoughts?
Still a big one to come!!

That at least makes me feel a little better. I would so love to play this game, as it gives me such a cool "Necromunda + 40K" gameplay vibe, but I simply can't justify another KS until I can "somehow" offload all my SedWars stuff, which will unfortunately will probably entail taking a 50% loss. That and trying to get a job that will pay more than minimum wage for maximum work......
I would gladly buy things like the Iron Ancestor variant if they became normal retail, even if for a higher price.
37551
Post by: wiper
As has been mentioned previously, anything stickered with the phrase "Kickstarter Exclusive" is sort of exclusive to the Kickstarter, but will still be able to be picked up at events, and through Mantic Points.
The exceptions to this are the higher milestone rewards - the $400 and $500 "veteran commander" awards of the alternate sculpts of the Rebs commander and Plague 1st Gen are only available through the Kickstarter, and the Collector's Edition book will only have 250 books produced beyond those produced for the Kickstarter (i.e. for those who pledged over $750/added the book for $40 to their pledge).
Edit: damn my slow typing. Incidentally, I see your talk of offloading your Sedition Wars stuff - as somebody who paid no attention to the game, why so? Was it widely considered a disappointment/the Kickstarter badly done, or is it just a case of the game not being for you?
39827

@Aegis: At least put a token $1 pledge on this for now, that will give you access to the survey.

yes. Fortifications is made of 4 sprues. I think they're the same one. This will replace one of them with a different kind of scenery. So it only impacts you if you takes fortifications as a BZ, in which case you get something different than before.

No worries, I know that trying to decipher the massive wad of data they throw at you is challenge enough without having to do it in a few minutes!
It's worth noting, if you aren't aware already, that Mantic usually allow people to manage their pledges after the Kickstarter is over - you won't be able to get hold of the exclusive models reserved for those pledging $400 or $500 in one go, but if you realise there's something you really wanted that you haven't pledged enough to cover once the Kickstarter is over, you'll be able to top-up your pledge when Mantic send out the surveys to work out what people want.
(For what it's worth, that extra $50 you've pledged over the $150 tier is enough to buy two of the booster bundles in this picture thanks to the BOGOF offer, or to grab the Urban Skirmish terrain booster for load more terrain. Or a variety of other things, but those are amongst the most obvious options for a $50 add on.

(For what it's worth, that extra $50 you've pledged over the $150 tier is enough to buy two of the booster bundles in this picture thanks to the BOGOF offer, or to grab the Urban Skirmish terrain booster for load more terrain. Or a variety of other things, but those are amongst the most obvious options for a $50 add on.
i just upped mine to 250, trying to help reach whatever stretch goals we can plus i want that goblin mech thingie. you help is greatly appreciated
Well, you've certainly got good taste - the goblin stuntbot looks all kinds of awesome.

I gotto say, Mantic prices continue to surprise me. Look at all those $8 characters. Even Zombicide - and if we're being honest, they're board game pieces and not miniatures - were $10 for two single piece pieces of coloured plastic.
And now $10 for 5 guys? Crazy!

$25k stretch was always going to be too far, really.
Still, decent haul all round.

aegis why not pledge 10$ for 5 plastic terminator equivalents. thats 2$ a terminator!
That's why I caved and at least pledged something. I can always add to it later in the survey. My wife finally told me to stop whining about whether I should get into Deadzone, and just friggin' pledge.
*Sigh* Once again, I will have to thank her for marrying me.

You KNOW they'll bust that goal in post-pledge dollars. I'll probably wind up pledging more as I'll get another paycheck.

Maybe they'll do a gimme for the Enforcers, especially since 10K for tickets to events that most of the backers will never use was kinda lame.

Wasn't going to add any more, but I caved and upped it to $500.
Heck, when can you get a whole game system for the price of one GW army?

Final total is in... $1,216,482
Have to say guys really enjoyed this thread, it's been a real laugh at times!
Very impressed that they reached this total, with 2 weeks to go I thought they would be lucky to reach the target laid down by Dreadball. As it is, they smashed the total reached by that game by some margin!

In at $761 on the dot! Had to canabalize part of another KS for it, but it was worth it.

There is no way Mantic won't throw the plastic Enforcers in if they don't make it. They've known all along they were going to make them. Putting them in at the last minute is some sort of game or shenanigan.
According to SS, they have been planning the Enforcers for weeks. Once again, it looks like Mantic was trying to keep the success down and reach a certain KS funding goal rather than go as big as possible, or they would have included them sooner.

Am I mistaken, or did they remove the ability to add a faction box for $35? All I see are the 50 dollar bundles.
Originally I was going to pledge for Scout to get enforcers, and then get another faction to add to them. Then with a couple of the "Big guys" that you can add, it would be like playing a mini-warpath game.

Wow!!! That was one amazing ride. It's the first Kickstarter I really followed and pledged like crazy for. Between my buddy and me the final total was $794. So, my hobby budget for the rest of the year is gone. *lol* That's fine as I've got all kinds of Warmachine/Hordes minis to paint until this stuff gets here in December.

I kinda see warpath having trouble beating this. I could be wrong, this one was just a triple threat, and rather amazing.

Ah, good. That was looking to be my personal "sweet spot", as I can easily make myself a fabric board, and I already have/can make terrain that will fit the grid.

I assume we all watched it tick down to zero seconds. I do hope Mantic considers adding it if we break the goal through paypal, I know I can add more in a month or so.

Best Mantic KS, so far... combined! :p
Even the eventual WP KS will have trouble saying that now that DZ has added $1.2mil to the grand total. Damn, that was a fun ride. Now time to sit and wistfully gaze at my credit card bill.

That's what i noticed on Friday; the GW army from the High Elf White Dwarf was $650 as I recall, plus needing a rulebook and army book for another $130 and then something resembling suitable terrain. You'd still need to find another player with stuff.
For DeadZone, that'd easily get you rules and 6 good-sized forces with options, play area and terrain. Somewhat crazy to think about honestly.

If you're planning on doing paypal add-ons in the survey, send mantic a message to let them know how much.
They have considered this before when determining whether they can make the final stretch goal.

Yeah, I spent almost 3x on this as I was going to on warpath, though I'd never done a KS before so i could have been fooling myself. This was just a perfect storm of options. I'll probably have 100-200 dollars for the survey before Q2 next year... Automatically Appended Next Post: Umm... Did anyone else notice the plastic peacekeepers are listed as an add-on on the front page. like right this second? Accident, or sweet merciful Ronnie and co?

I've already told them I plan to add a lot to the Pledge Manager once I've refunded my account from the KoW add-ons, and once I see the sculpts.
Squiggie, you know they could have dropped the Peacekeeper bomb at any time and exploded their KS. Why did they wait until the last 20 minutes?

Nah, I don't believe that. I do believe that they had them planned, sure - along with lots of other hard plastic kits. Zombies, Enforcers, etc etc. Just like with KoW and Dreadball, this KS was to accelerate the release schedule. Funding them now would just mean they come out 6 months sooner. If they magically got like 2 million bucks or something, we'd probably see another couple hard plastic kits too.

A squad of 5 will do me for now. They will make a fine 3rd gen power armour commando group in Tomorrow's War when not being used for their regular purpose in DZ.
Looks like Enforcers are my second main DZ faction after Forge Fathers. And I think that walker is getting the Reb treatment. Time to start organizing the games room to fit all of this.
Edit - And payment successful! Time to give my bank a wad of cash to forget this ever happened.
