Ten-fifteen or so tournaments on I have yet to not bring at least one baggage-toting model in any list, and yet it's hardly ever made a difference. YMMV but it's more of a nice extra than a huge deal IMO (unless you play campaign, then it's a must for casevac alone)
Fenriswulf wrote: Yeah the picture I was looking at wasn't as well illuminated and from a different angle. But yeah, that magazine, and the magazine on the sniper rifle are much further forward than I'd like. It's just something which irritates me when I see it on what would otherwise be really great miniatures.
What are your thoughts on how Yojimbo holds his sword? We need a Kendo master to study about that.
Or the belt/camo pants arrangements on the werewolves?
Yes, I am being facetious
On a miniature that looks so stunning, I can't understand getting upset by something like that.*
*PS - I'm a Brit and know nothing about guns, other than they make a bang sound, so maybe that's it!
Although, compared to a lot of other miniature lines (other than ones done by Empress for their modern combat range for example), that looks pretty good to me..
Yeah, it's more about it being an eyesore to look at when your brain is kind of yelling at you "guns shouldn't be designed like that!". Especially the more low-tech faction of Ariadna (low tech being compared to all the other factions much higher tech in this instance).
I can't figure it out... The previous HMG sculpt had the magazine in the right spot. Have they done this to stop other people possibly using this design on their miniatures? That doesn't seem logical as this gun seems to take some of its design cues from the M240B, and thus can't really be pointed at and say "Hey, we came up with that, hands off!". It's boggling to me, and yeah every time I see it, it's like a finger in the eye.
As for Yojimbo, I think he's a homage in a way to the dude riding the motorcycle with the katana in "Black Rain", so he's fine
Well, at least on that HMG, if the ammo placement bothers you enough, it'll be easy to move it back. Unlike the Scout sniper, there's nothing to get in the way of moving it.
What's interesting is that with the design of the Penithesilea on motorbike (and sorry, I've gone on about this several times now!), as someone whose a big fan of motorcycles and new technology in the field, there is so much about that design that makes me think 'wow'.
Basically, you can tell it's been designed by someone who really knows about motorcycles and new R&D developments in that area.
They obviously haven't got someone on board who knows the same things about guns, with these miniatures.
One of you guys could put yourself forward as a consultant?
The USAriadna Box PreOrders must be in by Midnight, Sunday August 2nd so we can place our order to get them in with with Dismounted Maverick Girl. We may not be able to fill orders placed after that in the first wave. All first wave PreOrder boxes will ship with the Dismounted Maverick Girl Miniature inside the box.
This box contains 9 miniatures belonging to an Ariadnan Sectorial Army, an introductory ruleset, scenery, dice & everything you need to start collecting Infinity or just to complete your collection!
Barzam wrote: Is that booklet going to be like the Ice Storm quickstart rulebook?
From what we saw from "USAriadna Week", yes it will be.
And just as a reminder to folks, if you don't want to spring for the Big Box with the terrain or want multiples of the starter component, you can wait until probably November or December and purchase just the Ranger Force component by itself:
The Devil Dog will probably be a box of 4 for a fairly high price, with one of each profile(Heavy Shotgun and the Chain Rifle one which is in the Big Box), and the Maverick we're getting in this box is exclusive to this box
The impression I got from the videos is the Devil Dog box in the army box will be available seperately later as it is in that box. That's what I got from what Bostria said in the unboxing video.
ImAGeek wrote: The impression I got from the videos is the Devil Dog box in the army box will be available seperately later as it is in that box. That's what I got from what Bostria said in the unboxing video.
Right...but there's also a second Devil Dog profile, which features a Heavy Shotgun, Smoke Grenades, K-9 Antipode and APCCW.
The box profile is Chain Rifle, Smoke Grenades, K-9 Antipode and AP Heavy Pistol, APCCW.
What I was saying is that when we see the Devil Dog get a general release, it will be part of a 4 model boxed set with the remaining profile. The Devil Dog is not exclusive to this set, per Bostria, but the Maverick sculpt is. The Dismounted Maverick is available only to the "preorders"--which suggests they plan on this box sticking around for awhile, but also making the Ranger Force box available to those who want duplicates of those models without the Devil Dog, Terrain, etc.
As well, the Big Box that we're seeing currently available is the "closest" to a normal army set you could get with the contents of the Ranger Force box. The Ranger Force box comes in at 91 points minimum without the Devil Dog and Maverick.
Normal army sets weigh in at around 130-150ish.
No, what I mean is, I got the impression that the DD box is going to come exactly as it is in that box. I can't remember the wording but that's the impression I got. Plus what if you get the starter box but then want the other Devil Dog too (if they do the other profile)? You'd have double of the one in the starter if they come in a 4 box.
ImAGeek wrote: No, what I mean is, I got the impression that the DD box is going to come exactly as it is in that box. I can't remember the wording but that's the impression I got.
The only statement I can recall was that "The Devil Dog would be available later as a box". That doesn't preclude them doing the Devil Dogs as a 2 DD/2 K9 box.
And given that they did the Dog Warriors as a "4 model box", I cannot see them not doing the same for the Devil Dogs.
It's worth mentioning as well that there was a comment made that they feel like anyone playing USAriadna will grab this box, the Grunt box, and then a few other boxes here and there. Given that Devil Dogs are AVA 3--making the Devil Dogs available as a 2 DD/2 K9 box is the smart choice.
Plus what if you get the starter box but then want the other Devil Dog too (if they do the other profile)? You'd have double of the one in the starter if they come in a 4 box.
You've been playing Infinity for awhile, right?
They don't care about you getting doubles. This box isn't "the starter", it's the army box.
"The starter" is a Minuteman with 2x Light Flamethrower, Marauder with Heavy Flamethrower(NOT Rifle+Heavy Flamethrower as they label it there, the profile isn't "Rifle+" meaning it's two separate weapons not a combination weapon), 3 Grunts with Rifles, and the Foxtrot Ranger.
The Devil Dog is something they added in, as is the Maverick.
When I said starter I meant the army box, I feel like that was fairly obvious. We'll see I guess but to me it sounded like the DD box is gonna be the DD and K9 that's in the army box. And it's a bit different for doubles of a little human sized model to having doubles of giant Dog Warriors.
ImAGeek wrote: When I said starter I meant the army box, I feel like that was fairly obvious.
It is to me, but to posters who are looking at this thread and haven't followed the details of everything it's important to delineate.
It's also worth mentioning that this is a new thing for Corvus Belli. Why they included the one Devil Dog profile over the other, I don't know.
We'll see I guess but to me it sounded like the DD box is gonna be the DD and K9 that's in the army box. And it's a bit different for doubles of a little human sized model to having doubles of giant Dog Warriors.
The Dog Warriors box comes with two Dog Warriors...
Sure, the Dogface(the human form) isn't as big as the Antipode but the Dogfaces aren't exactly small either.
In any regards, there isn't really many other options available to them for releasing the Devil Dogs. It's either a 4 model box with a duplicate of the one from the army box or they break their own rule about "We don't want to make a box/different arm options for each profile available in a single box but not giving you all of the profiles in the single box". It's the whole reason why Geckos were 2 to a box.
Fair enough to the first point. But the Dog Warriors aren't doubles of the same model, they're two different models. The way you're saying it's gonna be, if I want the other one in the box I'm going to have literally double of the DD and K9 that come in the army box. Like two of the exact same model, twice. It could be a two model box like the Motorbike boxes are.
I mean you could be right, but I'm not gonna be happy if they come as a box of four and I have to buy an expensive box that I already own half of to get the other one.

How is that any different to wanting doubles of any model that isn't a Rifle?
I mean yeah, it sucks and it'll annoy me too--but there's not really much else to be done.
Probably not. You can dismount motorcyclists in the game so you could use it but lots of other Motorcyclists don't come with dismounted models. I've seen people say they're gonna use theirs as a Grunt FO.
He's a Dactyl character I think. Breaker pistols go against BTS instead of armour iirc, but they halve the BTS too. Fluff wise they're like toxic or nanotechnological or other things that attack BTS. And they definitely look like Breaker pistols to me
And yeah the Tiger Soldier design is amazing. I think I prefer the BSG model (which I just ordered the other day) but the Spitfire profile is probably more useful.
CYCLOPS!
Now I want to buy it just for the laughs every time I see it.
I'm in the same boat as Pacific with no clue what the skittles or LMS is in reference to. At first i was trying to figure out how Marshawn Lynch was connected to Acmon. All I know is that I'm expanding out of my Caledonian sectorial and adding to my Steel Phalanx...
One thing I noticed is lately I've needed more than a few pictures to fully understand and like some of CB's new miniatures; some of the ones that use can't show the "full character" of the miniature, things just look off until I see another angle showing more of the motion/stance of the figure.

I could see the Devil Dogs being released in 2 boxes, each with a different DD profile and antipode. The AVA for the DD team is 2 in Vanilla, and 3 In USAR.
Yes, they don't care if you get extras, but a full 2 extra models for AVA 3 in USAR is quite a bit extra cost that you cannot use whatsoever.
If I were a betting man, I'd go with a single profile box for each profile.
Remember: Teh Awesome Bostria seminar is at 11:00am-1:00 PM EST tomorrow, Saturday 8/1. It will be live cast on http://www.twitch.tv/doremicom
No. The dismounted minis of Yojimbo and Kasym Beg are a bonus. Nice to have, but not needed. Now, you could always wait for Miniature Market to offer the Army Box as a deal of the day. You won't get the dismounted Maverick, but you'll probably save an additional, what ~$20 or so. I'm currently debating the matter. I think I'll wait for the Deal of the Day.
The TwitchTV thing, it'll be archived as a VOD for a while too? I hope so. AH, here it is...from Doremicon, he who is recording the seminar,
Log on to my twitch page: http://www.twitch.tv/doremicom at 11AM US Eastern Time (which I believe with Daylight savings time is -4 GMT) this Saturday (August 1, 2015). Carlos (Bostria) has agreed to answer 2 questions (if they are good questions) from the room at the seminar’s final QA Section from the live stream. If you miss the live stream, I will be posting it on my YouTube channel when I return from GenCon.
Hmm.. if it shows up as a DotD on MM... I may have another moment of weakness. I'm pretty much auto-buying anything Infinity they do that's within my 4 factions/sectorials, it's hard to pass those up at the price. Heck, I almost jumped onto a second icestorm at the $55 during that one day sale... getting them so cheap at that point you can hack them up for conversions

Geckos are AVA 4 and I made that exact argument for the boxes to be a single profile doubled up...
You get "two extra models", but that's not how CB sees it. They see the two models as a single profile. It's like if you want a Deva with Devabot for NCA or the other G: Sync units where they are available, you have to buy the boxed set of 4.
I'm just lucky my brain didn't take the 'you already want another mototronica pack' angle or I'd probably have bought the stupid thing. Disregarding the 10 or so dollars the pack is discounted... that's just a bit over $3 per mini, per brand new CB Infinity mini... shoot.. I just hope it doesn't come up again
You can... eventually. And given the number of profiles for the Father-Knight, a third and a fourth and a fifth. (Combi Rifle, Boarding Shotgun, Spitfire and Missile Launcher in all probability.
I have no idea when CB will release the box though. Same for the Reverend-Healer, but that will be 2 blisters instead of a box-- I would suspect. We will see them eventually.
They had those decks at the WarStore booth at GenCon in the multi-deck dispenser (the cardboard box with the slot to get the decks out one at a time). I got half way to the cashier before I realized I was supposed to buy just one of the decks, and not the whole box.

Kasym Beg and Yojimbo dismount from their bikes quite a bit. Most of the time I see it used to climb/enter buildings and get in CC with something nasty with a good position. Probably won't need it for the Maverick since they're not CC monsters although you might need it if you want to hop off to walk through doorways.
As well as Shasvasti.
USARF will be replacing MRRF, and Shasvastii will be replaced by the new EI First Contact Onyx Force.
EI sectorial with the new CA box army, awesome new drones/remotes.
Very large heavy weapon REM's, and new redesidgned Drones.
Also, new EVO Devices, that are actual models that count as Hackers with their own program lists.
Those are both sexy TAGS. Seraph is the only tag for the Knight sectorial (military orders?) right? Seems pretty cool. Does it have combat jump, given the wings and angelic name, or are those just ornamentation on the back?
So much better than the Staypuft Marshmallow TAG it's replacing.
With all the YJ releases that we've been getting over the past six months, I'm surprised that everyone and their dog isn't playing them!
Yu Jing really needed some lovin' of all the old factions they had aged the worst.
I hope the new Domaru kicks ass. A tiny guy full of fury, the chain rifle Domaru is one of my favorite minis in the range.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Lots of new photos popping up on FB.
New CA remotes
New CA meanies (IDK what they do)
Looks like a Yan Huo type unit for CA
New Domaru
Some Haqq Units
Proof that the Azra'il suit does indeed contain a human being
So... gonna be getting the new EI stuff, those heavier batroids are pretty sweet! When someone said earlier that EI 'replaced' Shasvastii, were we talking about in the order they were being done as in Shasvastii got pushed to Acheron or w/e, while EI was moved to soon/now? Just don't kill my freaky pod peoples like you did the crab dudes!
I'll have to see a painted example of the new CA drones before I know if I like them or not. I mean, they look cool in theory I guess. I dunno what could be cooler than the crazy floating tentacle-having drones that exist now. At least for Shasvastii, those drones fit right in. This newer sculpt certainly does seem to fit better with the Batroids and probably Morats though.
Yeah Shasvastii are pushed back to Acheron Falls, primarily because they're getting a Morat style overhaul. Morats went from being the worst selling models to the best selling of the whole range for the past year with their redesign. The 'First Contact Force Onyx' is replacing them in HSN3, that's your EI, Umbra and Sygmaa. Their sectorial logo looks really sweet.
Guys, guys: stop talking about all that boring crap. Concentrate on the new Haqq! Finally, new sculpts for the Hunzanuts. The super-jumping Khawarji's getting a missile launcher sounds totally hilarious. I think also that I am going to have to change my underwear after seeing the Bashi Bazouks and their little wings. EXCITEMENT
Old Guijia gets far too much hate, the thing is gorgeous! My favorite TAG up until Scarface hit! Of all the TAGs CB ever made, that one looks the most like it came straight out of Appleseed.
New one looks great tho, I like what they're doing with it. Now if they'll just give the Nomad TAGs a similar updated

While I like the new design and how it resembles the Zuyong and Yan Huo Invincibles, I am a little disappointed to see more of their anime inspired models go.
I hope they keep that aesthetic throughout their catalog instead of reserving the anime inspired models to characters and bootlegs.
Any word on getting the video of Carlos' presentation? I honestly thought he'd drop a little bit more than we've seen thus far.
But it would be nice to know which sectorials are coming off the table with the revision of HS. I'm assuming the lesser used existing sectorials for each faction will be replaced.
Any idea what the lead time on that Seraph is? I've been debating on building one but if an official one is coming in close enough order that they're showing off the render then I may hold off.
Also, is the Nisse the only thing on those two months of releases for PanO? It's the only name I recognize but I'm new to the game so most of the names are Greek to me still.
You should be able to see the entire presentation -minus cutouts from Twitch dropping transmission- on Doremicoms Twitch channel.
It should auto cache and be there today/tonight.
He said he'd upload the better quality version to his YouTube later this week after he got back from GenCon.
That's interesting... I wonder what makes them think that players would want civilian-looking characters for their RPG minis?
I mean, I may not have a proper read on the game at this point but... typically you get one of those knights in armor/robed wizards/priestly clerics for a fantasy game, and not townsfolk.
Still, may be fun to paint them as civvies anyway.
Maybe because we already have plenty of military figures ot use for RPG minis? I can't wait, ever since Antenocitis Workshop dicontinued their G.O.T. figures there's been virtually no sci-fi civilian figures out there. I want more HVTs and showcase figs and just random figures to poplulate the battlezones with. Pretty excited about these
Also, many RPGs are as much about staying incognito as they are about full blown combat. I'm expecting lots of cyberwarfare and espionage, corporate spying and infiltration with infrequent but intense combat. Mission Impossible in space type of stuff, you wouldn't necessarily be fully armed and armored for most of that, and again if you play a military style campaign there's the entire range of Infinity figs to choose from already
We have been clamoring for more Civvies for years. Years, I say. Perhaps CB thinks that the RPG release is a good excuse to release some. Personally, I would like 4 ( Pan-O, Yu Jing, Nomads and Haqq) civvies boxed up and sold via normal means-- make them a part of the Bootyleg line-- instead of just as Kickstarter exclusives. Although, the RPG does interest me. I could use a good sci-fi RPG... but I avoid kickstarters. Nasty dilemma...
Tikbalang has undergone a few changes it seems, since the last concept art. I would like to say that ASA has been woefully neglected, but we did get the 2 Akalis this year. That was it though.
Absolutionis wrote: That female Hunzakut dossier concept is not new. Finally they're getting another sculpt, however.
We've been asking for one for years, like with the Civvies. Really. That is art from 2010 I think. But the render looks great. A must get for any vanilla Haqq player. I like the new Bashi Bazouk and the the Khawarij too. That's 3 to the must get list, oh, make it four if the Nisse HMG is as good as the Nisse Sniper. (yes, it is the only Pan-O release announced. The Seraph is ??? soon-ish? )
And what will the Inter-Planetary presentation bring? This was a nice set of reveals, but CB must have kept something for their own tournament.
Kalamadea wrote: JC Scull on WGC Infinity group took some photos from the RPG character concepts, these are for the ones they didn't have minis of
Love it. This is what I wanted them to do with the bootleg line.
Love the Hunzakut and Bashi Bazouk concepts. The Khawarijs art is just too blurry to make anything out. Also love the shot of a person inside the Azra'il render for all the nay-sayers who say someone wouldn't be able to fit inside.
I assume the Tikbalang isn't one of the playable characters for the RPG?
As much as I love the original Dumaru Butai minis (definitely think they're some of the stronger old miniatures in the range) I am looking forward to seeing what the new ones turn out like.
Was any further info given on the release of Archon Falls?
I'm sad they're redesigning the CA drones to be quadrupedal bots like the human remotes. The weird tentacled hovering remotes had a real creepy alien vibe to them.
Will those RPG civvies actually be getting models, or are they just going to be artwork of characters in the rulebook?
LOVE nearly all of the new stuff. I'm a little sad to see the flying squid drones go, but the new quadrapeds look pretty cool. I'd like to see some clearer shots of those new Batroid variants as well. One of those looked like a stealth type and the one with the shoulder cannon almost looked like a TAG.
That Kahwarij and the Bashi Bazouk redesigns I think are the highlight though. The Bashi Bazouk looks so much better. Plus, he's clearly an airborne trooper now, which is nice. Didn't like that about the originals. A little disappointed that the Govads didn't make an appearance in render form yet.
Things I'm not so hot on, the TAG redesigns. I actually greatly preferred the Tikbalang's original design. I liked the heavier looking armor of the original Tikbalang over the new scrawny one. The old one looked very unique compared to PanO's other TAGs, but the new one has almost no distinguishing features, making it look even more vanilla than the Squalo. The new Guijia doesn't look as Landmate-ish as the old one, either, which causes it to lose its charm a bit. Now it just looks like a Yan Huo without the shoulder weapons.
What exactly is the deal with the MRRF and the Shasvastii? I didn't quite get that. Are they pulling both lines? Are they going to be redesigning both armies once Acheron Falls hits? Or are they just not releasing any new units for them for a while?
The RPG civvies in the concept art are getting models. We've already seen the Ariadna and Nomad ones. They'll be Kickstarter exclusive though.
MRRF and Shasvastii will stay playable, their profiles and everything are still fine to be used in ITS, they just won't be updated in HSN3, they're being pushed back til Acheron Falls. The reasons being that Shasvastii are getting a Morat style overhaul, and I got the impression that MRRF is going to change quite a bit too but mostly rules wise, and he said the changes they have planned for them will make more sense in the future. He said something along the lines of 'Rapid Response will actually mean something in the future'.
I love all the concepts shown. I let out an audible gasp at the Bashi Bazouk, because it's miles better than the old one. Can't wait to see the new Domaru, I'm not keen on the old ones. I'm actually glad a lot of the overtly anime style has gone from the game, I was never a fan of that.
The new Domaru design doesn't seem that different from the old one. It's just got Takeshi's skirt armor added and the helmet seems to be more in line with the Haramaki's.
I assume that the MRRF will have lots of deployment shenanigans, as well as some new ones. Probably a lot of Mechanized Deployment. Hopefully they don't mess with their overall look too much. Same with the Shasvastii. I like how they look.
Where exactly are people seeing these renders of the Hunzakut though? And why aren't they either posting the pics or links to said renders?
ImAGeek wrote: The RPG civvies in the concept art are getting models. We've already seen the Ariadna and Nomad ones. They'll be Kickstarter exclusive though.
Are we sure about that? I just finished watching Doremicom's footage of the Infinity seminar and my take away was that the kickstarter civvies would be exclusive variants hence the tag "Exclusive Crowdfunding Edition". Maybe I misunderstood.
All in all, though, I'm very happy with everything I saw and heard.

I guess there might be non limited variants. It was yesterday I watched it so I can't remember. The models we've actually seen so far (the Ariadnan and Nomad) are the crowdfunding ones definitely though.

Originally I didn't think the Domaru Butai were much different at all, but you're right, it's the Haramaki that i was thinking of when looking at the new artwork. Domaru Butai are a little more aged than i originally thought, not just the helmets and skirt armor, but the calves and shin armor is getting updated to what is becoming the new Yu Jing standard. Must be an Imperial mandate: NOBODY is allowed to skip leg day! (I love the leg armor of pretty much everything Raiden and after)
It's a neat design. I assume that as a pioneer, he'll be able to use a foxhole. I'm surprised they didn't sculpt him using it like they did everyone else with that ability, or like the Nikoul.
Hunzakut does look good. Nice to see another version of that unit, finally. I still need to get the vanilla Haqq starter so I can get one.

Sapper is the skill that gives you foxhole. Pioneer is just the unit name. It seems to be more in your face (I'm guessing the tubes mean something close combat related for the arms) than being a Sapper.
And yeah the Hunzakut is gorgeous. Just as I'd decided to not do Haqq as well.
I loved seeing the layering of the Guijia - there's actually a layer showing the pilot in it. See? Yu Jing aren't really a bunch of horrible people that amputate the pilot's legs!

I liked the same for the Azra'Il. Now people can stop complaining about it (hahaha... won't happen).
If those RPG characters are in any way exclusive to the kickstarter, I might have to back it. I haven't been much interested in the RPG so far, but if there's nice exclusive minis, I'll be backing it.
Haven't even backed a kickstarter, so it should be an adventure.
I'm surprised they're actually entirely dropping Shasvastii and MRRF from Human Sphere N3. I get that they're reworking them, but it's still a suprorse to see them techinically dropped for a while.
However, I can't wait to see how they redesign the Shasvastii. I always liked them more than Morat but struggled to work up decent lists with them to get interested in playing them.
Depending on the price point I might be backing it too - my friends mentioned starting RPGing at some point and they enjoyed Infinity when we played it so that might be a good place to start.

It might just be semantics or 'lost in translation' but I wouldn't say they've 'dropped' them - just 'delayed' or 'pushed' them to the next book.
They will not show in the book that they were historically present, they will appear in the next one because further work on them is required that does not realistically places them in the time frame the book needs.
They are not been dropped, its just a heads up that they won't show up in the HS rework and people should not freak about it, they will show up in working title "Acheron Falls"
You guys forgot to mention the Mobile Brigada boxed set.
Apparently the Halqa are also being removed from HSN3. Hopefully we'll be seeing a brand new box for them once Acheron Falls rolls around, then. i hope they don't look too different from the existing ones.
So no news on the Maghariba this presentation? I had hoped we'd see a render after the cartoon concept art and more realistic paintings previewed last year.
Hmm, Hunzakut render missing from the BoW slides as well as a lot of other slides like the company growth, terrain wip shots, new office concepts, new purchasable terrain, etc.
Dentry wrote: Hmm, Hunzakut render missing from the BoW slides as well as a lot of other slides like the company growth, terrain wip shots, new office concepts, new purchasable terrain, etc.
And some of the other concept art, the new CA Batroid thingies and the Guijia are missing for example. But those pictures are much much better.
Would definitely recommend watching the videos linked by Absolutionis. I found Carlos' presentation very enjoyable and you get the complete picture so to speak.
CB really brought out the big guns for the con! The new Tohaa stuff is crazy awesome. I have no idea what the alien tiger with guns is all about, but I definitely want one.
I'm wondering what the shoulder mounted gun on the new Batroid is.
It's very reminiscent of the Yan Huo with HRMC and it does appear to have multiple barrels - I'm hoping that it's not a HRMC because those things are becoming as common as muck.
Mind you, the other weapon on the concept art is a Plasma Sniper Rifle, which I don't tend to put in the same grade of weapon as the HRMC.
The one on the picture that isn't actually on the Overdrone is a plasma sniper rifle, but he also has a different weapon actually attached that isn't named.
I'm one step further along the path to buying CA stuff...
I dunno if it would be too powerful or work even but it kinda makes sense to me with their theme of plasma versions of guns, and Snipers and HMGs are often found on the same units where as a HMC and plasma sniper seem like different classes of weapons to be on the same unit.
If its that or the new squalo, I know which one I'm picking. I'm sure the squalo has better stats but I'm not sure I care... Bet neoterra can't have those though...
The Seraph has all the great details to fit in with the MO. I just don't understand the pose. It looks like it's parrying an attack with the sword and resisting the force. However, it's at TAG scale.

Spoiler:
I love it, but not as much as the original artwork.
Man, that would have been a kick-ass sculpt no? A bee-yotch to assemble and base, but what a beautiful dynamic mini it would have been. Still this one is nice. I just hope they do as well with the Tikbalang, whenever they get around to releasing it. Ah well, I waited, what, 3 years for the Hunzakut LGL, so I suppose I can wait a bit longer for the Tikbalang.

And yeah when I get paid I'm ordering some CA.
Yeah, that was my thinking, too - those two weapons don't sit well together.
When I say "hilarious", obviously what I mean is "broken". Just imagine it... Burst 4, Damage 14 or 15, the crazy Plasma DA effect and the template? Damage potential of 8? Yuk...
Wow, the Hunzanut looks amazing. I'll definitely be grabbing them for my (quickly growing) stable of irregular nutjobs. What was the score on the Govads and Zhayedan? Any news on them? I've got a HB friend who is desperate for the Govad models.
I'm pretty ambivalent towards the RPG right now. I love RPGs. I love Infinity. However, D&D 5e is just the perfect RPG for me to run, so I'm doubtful that I can be bothered buying and learning another game; maybe I can convince someone to run some one-shots for me, perhaps? Regardless, I'd really like some civvie models. I always fancy having a shootout in a shopping mall, with loads of civvies and mall guards taking cover as two teams of special forces rampage through the place.
So do we have a full accounting of what will be coming out with HSN3? We've heard MRRF & SEF for Ariadna & CA respectively. Will that be all? or should we expect other sectorials to take a back seat until AF?
Also when is the next big event on CB's calendar? I know Carlos said they would be at another big tournament or seminar with more news this summer.
14-16 August in Vigo Spain. Read all about it here infinitythegame.com/interplanetary
There is something at the bottom of the page to switch to English, si no puedes leer el castellano.

Hunzakut should be available, at least in the US, sometime in Early October. That is about the time the N3 rule-book went up for pre-oredr, IIRC. Also, does it look like the Hunzakut's rifle has not been scaled down?
I know what you are saying about 5e. It scratches the itch nicely for me too. It is what 2nd edition AD&D should have been. I hope that the folks at Modiphius will find ways to tie in to the regular game in order to broaden its appeal. I'll check out the kickstarter, even I though I avoid them normally. I've always enjoyed reading RPG rulesets.

From my understanding in all this mass amount of data. All Sectorials that are currently present in Human Sphere (minus the MRRF and SEF, which are pushed out to AF) will be present in HSN3. It is also my understanding that the MRRF and SEF will be replaced in HSN3 by the USAriadna and New CA Sectorial.
I'm really looking forward to the INFINITY RPG - as 5E does nothing for me that 1E doesn't already do just fine - never mind the fact that this one is set in the INFINITY world!
Seeing how past Modiphius RPG Kickstarters go though I'm a bit 'worried' about what the 'get 'em all in print' price is going to end up clocking in at!

Personally I'm looking for an RPG for my group. I was trying to drum up interest in Malifaux for some Through the Breach sessions, but most of my group seems resistant to the game. Most of us already play Infinity, and I want the books for the fluff anyway.
Are they exorbitant? I have no clue about Kickstarters, other than they are generally very late to deliver.
Yes, MRRF and the Shasvastii are out of HSN3, but not out of the game. They will be back. So Nuclear M, you are correct. The Shasvastii are in need of an over-haul. MRRF though, I guess they are just bumped to make room for USAriadna. (There may be a joke in there, but someone else can make it.)
The EI sectorial, Onyx something or the other, will be interesting, to say the least. I wonder what the new units will be like. Maybe that is something we will see in the Inter-Planetary seminar.
BoW interview of Modiphius touches on Infinity RPG.
Mentioned they're taking pre-orders for it next month which is confusing since it's supposed to be crowdfunded - unless they're considered the same thing in this case: crowdfunding and pre-ordering.
I wonder if they will run it in a similar fashion to North Star/Nickstarter Frostgrave?
Seemed to be very straightforward, minimum delay the items arrived exactly when they said they would - seems like it would be more suited to something where you already have what you want to sell ready for sale.

It is only confusing if you missed their Prees Release when the deal was made.
Core Book not a Kickstart but standard company release.
The rest of the book are to be KickStarter.
Around this time they also said the RPG models will get a normal release by CB. Except 1 or 2 Kickstart only ones.
Bolognesus wrote: Whuh, so the good old tentacley CA drones are getting completely reenvisioned? Wow. Oh well, they were a pain to assemble and keep intact anyway
I'm very pleased.
I like the new Combined box a lot, and the old drones just don't fit in with them.
I had waited on buying the drones, but I think I'll pick up the new ones.
Pretty excited about their new sectorial. I would have prefered a Symaa-only one, but Umbra are awesome.
I will destroy that Tohaa cat whenever I can in a fit of jealous rage. And that new Iago. Stupid sexy Tohaa.
Yeah... the tentacle drones just shifted way up in my queue. I may still get the new ones some day, but I simply must have the creepy floaty tentacle drones for my Shasvastii.
Tohaa creep me out, especially the 'ambassador' or 'diplomatic relations' one, that's trying too hard to be sexy and just comes off creepy as all heck.
Those Drones struck me as likely being Exrah costructs. They fit their aesthetic far better than the EI stuff. That might be part of the reason they're being removed. They wanted a more unified look for the EI/Ur Rationalist designs.
Red Harvest, you are the one who should be face-palmed for missing the Simpsons reference there !
I got the reference. I went beyond it. It's not like the Tohaa are "wearing nothing at all." ( thank goodness) Do try and keep up, dear fellow. Now about the Diplomat. I believe that it was said of the mini that she is communicating her desire to *ally* with humans by means of interpretive dance. The Tohaa have a good, unified look. Comparing the Tohaa range with the CA range shows that CB has learned a trick or two. Now the CA is catching up.
I'm guessing nothing new is forthcoming until the 15th? Will there be some sort of broadcast of the Inter-Planetary event/seminar, or will it be "hope someone films it and uploads it". ( and doesn't have the camera battery run out of juice too soon, like with the Ficzone seminar last year)
@Red Harvest: No clue. We may see stuff being put out like Dossiers etc in the meantime, but Interplanetary is the best bet for new info being dumped.
If someone is kind enough to record the Seminar (if there is one) then we can hope for a video upload. I don't believe there was one last year. It will most likely be in Spanish, so it would need to be translated.
The seminar is in the published schedule on Saturday evening, but is half the length of the GenCon one, plus it's effectively even shorter for being in two languages. I don't believe anyone is recording it.
Please forgive silly question time: When is the USAriadna box supposed to ship?
I was under the impression that it was 'released' at GenCon, which was a week ago, and I've seen no mention of the box shipping to distributors/stores that I've yet seen.
It was a "prerelease" at GenCon. Essentially they brought a number of boxes with them from Spain to sell.
Purportedly, they began shipping to distributors starting on Tuesday. If true, The Warstore should have them by next week and start shipping out immediately to the stores that use them as a distributor and to anyone who ordered via them.

And the LE dismounted Maverick is a shout out to Taylor Swift? How closely does CB follow American Pop Culture anyway?
Pretty decently. Only if you really look at faces for the most part as sort of cameos.
The Acontecimento Regulars are all modeled after characters from 'Lost'. Same with the Keisotsu Missile Launcher guy.
The Gallewegans are all modelled after scotish characters: Mel Gibson's version of braveheart, and Sean Connery.
The Dire Foes Lupe and Chandra Sgt Thrasymedes are explicitly Danyeris Targaryen and Jon Snow from Game of Thrones (and their actors).
Roger Van Zant is pretty much a straight character out of Reign of Fire.
The Umbra Legate is more or less Darth Maul.
I'm sure I'm forgetting a few. There's some non-american references too. The female Ghazi Mutthawa is based on a popular spanish fashion blogger. Several characters are based on well known Infinity forum members even.
0-12 commissioner was supposed to be "allegedly corrupted" politician.
Dire Foes Aleph Thrasymedes. People from official forum claim he's based on a actor that plays Jon Snow. Nomad supposedly have the whiny Daenerys (rather fitting). Personally don't see that much resemblance.
PanO machinist is auto portrait of his sculptor.
Bolt LE has the face of Tabitha Lyons.
Probably more, these are first things that come to mind.

Regarding the Dire Foes/Game of Thrones thing, here's the art for those:
Then there is Deadpool aka Senor Massacre,
The wife of one of the scuplters as the Bootleg O-Yoroi Pliot,
the Dire Foes with the Knigh and Assassin and 2 of CB biggest fan suupporter,
and Antipode well read A Fire Upon the Deep.
So first news that I've seen is about the RPG.
-There will be faction books.
-The campaign will start after Mission 301 (from the Campaign-Paradiso book.)
-The minis will not be 100% exclusive to the kickstarter. There may be other means-- currently being investigated-- to obtain them. This is nice news.
EDIT: Oops, forgot that the forum reads Campaign colon Paradise as Campaignaradiso.

The last thing anybody wants for infinity is collecting effing army books like this is GW.
For the RPG that's a different story. Playing RPGs is all about collecting books with awesome artwork.
It will be nice to see the plot continue. Nothing new in the Infinity universe has happened since Paradiso. I assume they're working in concert with CB to ensure the lore for the RPG and AF will all make sense.

No specific date, but it is rumored to be in September. I'm sure we'll get more info tomorrow... or not. I'll just have to remember to visit the Spanish forum. News will likely turn up there first, although there are several English speakers there this year-- even a few Americanos, including my local Warcor. Wouldn't mind faction books in PP style though, where it's not a nessisary purchase and more just one for additional fluff and painting resources.

Avicennas hair is pretty silly. The Dactyl is okay but pretty eh after Acmon. I like the MBs, and I was expecting 3 + TinBot so I'm surprised, and new load outs too. And I like the RPG models, bar the Aleph one who looks as boring as his art did.
I was hoping a new Infinity DOTD would show up. Too bad it's for a figure I've already got. :(
The Azra'il isn't S6, is it? And we're absolutely positive that it's a new TAG Haqq is getting? It isn't another Man-TAG like Tariq? Interesting that it'll have mechanized deployment though.
Disappointed in how thin those Mobile Brigadas are. I guess they won't look so out of place next to the shotgun ORC, but I would've preferred heavier armor like the new Janissary.
I'm also a bit disappointed that we didn't get any renders for the Govads yet.
Barzam wrote: The Azra'il isn't S6, is it? And we're absolutely positive that it's a new TAG Haqq is getting? It isn't another Man-TAG like Tariq? Interesting that it'll have mechanized deployment though.
Mech deployment pretty much means it's a Khanate TAG. Which is interesting for a lot of reasons. Maybe we'll get a junkyard Kum TAG afterall?
Did we get any news about N3:HS? Will there be new sectorials for factions? or just USAriadna and the new CA one?
When is the next big CB news event? Isn't there a 3rd one coming up next now that we're done with GenCon & Interplanetario? Perhaps another BoW week?
How did they do with the initial sales on the USAriadna box? I know I wanted one, but in the end resisted the urge to start a third faction... I'd imagine it didn't sell crazily like Icestorm.
Icestorm came before a major edition drop and contained 2 of the most popular factions. USAriadna box is a one faction affair and there's not nearly as much buzz about N3:HS on the horizon.
So yes, all we know is the sectorials and units from HS and Paradiso will be in HSN3, with the exceptions of MRRF and Shasvastii which are doing a swap in Acheron Falls with USAriadna and First Contact ONYX.
The lack of hype around HSN3 is odd, but maybe they're taking a more conservative approach considering the bad feeling not including that content in the N3 main book caused?
Yeah my money is on the Hypetrain still being fueled up ready for departure closer to the release.
As a fan of FFG's and X-Wing in particular, I am totally fine with a limited time hypetrain rather than waiting for your new toys you first heard about month and months ago.
I suspect an Infinity Week on BoW, probably at the end of September, when CB has a better idea about when they can release HSN3. Remember, CB just moved, and went all out to get to GenCon and to host Inter-Planetary. That is quite a bit for a small business.
Hmm...
They aren't even sure they will be putting out HSN3 by the end of the year. Last I heard from Carlos' seminar, was that they HOPED to have it out by the end of the year.
I'd not expect to see them hyping it before mid Fall some time, if not closer to Winter. Say... 3 months or so before release?
That gives them plenty of time to do pre-sales, and start putting out info in a controlled stream for the actual release.
I'm thinking that USAR sold well. Lots, and i mean Lots, of locals are picking up the box. And on FB groups, lots of people in the US are getting it.
If you guys are quick enough and Miniature Market's servers don't crash, they've got the Gecko box for $27 and the Fusilier SWC box for $18 in their summer sale. There's also a few smatterings of blisters marked down to about $6 or so.
Well, I'm happy to pay that much for Geckos. I agree that they should cost that much to begin with. Also grabbed some Shasvastii and a Ragik, too. I would've liked to have seen more line infantry boxes, remotes, or TAGs though.
Kanluwen wrote: Hey, they've got them for the price Geckos SHOULD be!

Heh, I'm sure some people will look at the same way at Tikbalang/Uhlan box. Although that should be easily split between general/SAA/NCA players. Depending on the N3 profiles.
I wonder how forward deploying TAG is going to work out. Sounds really cool, however should it have BTS 3, it might have trouble using the most of its deployment.

The Tikbalang/Uhlan box, as you mentioned, "should be easily split between general/SAA/NCA players"...the Geckos aren't really in the same boat.
I lucked out and found someone who wanted a pair of dual Combis and we each bought a box, then traded each other the variants we didn't want.
A NCA or SAA player, however, can use both by simply deciding to play Vanilla or adding a starter/proxying certain things(anyone who tells you they will not let you field Fusiliers as Regulars, for example, is a toolbag) they can play a different Sectorial.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I'm already fairly irritated that the release schedule is being futzed with because they need to make bloody Kickstarter exclusive models for this dumb RPG.
I'm really curious about the RPG. I've never actually played a pen &paper RPG before, and I'm reaal interested to know how much it will integrate the regular tabletop rules. They said there was supposed to be cross compatibility between the RPG and the regular game, so I assume there will be some degree of overlap.
I suspect as well that the "exclusives" will be like the recent Joan figure in that they'll be exclusive "versions" of the figures with altered versions for mass retail. If that's the case, hopefully that means they'll be working on both types at the same time so that there won't be a huge delay between the between the release of the KS versions and the retail versions.
Even better would be if they made tge RPG figures Bootlegs and that they didn't affect the regular releases.
Kanluwen wrote: The issue there is that "Bootlegs" still affect the release schedules.
You'd think they wouldn't since Bootlegs were meant to be a separate line. What month will they be messing up?
In regards to the RPG miniatures?
Unknown. We have the Russian guy confirmed to be a Kickstarter exclusive, but the others are meant to be bootlegs associated with the RPG release from what has been said.
Kanluwen wrote: The issue there is that "Bootlegs" still affect the release schedules.
Not seeing an "issue" here.
Agreed. One of the things that always annoyed me about certain other giant miniature gaming companies is they spent all their time modeling troops (and inventing new troops to model when you'd bought all the old troops) and hardly ever put any time into modeling figures that maybe weren't necessary purchases for people filling out their army lists, but which made the game richer. I'm not really interested in the pin-up style bootlegs, but the others (especially Dire Foes) do make the world richer by showing us the little nooks and crannies of the IP that aren't directly fighting. And for every one of us who loves Infinity but who doesn't necessarily just want the straightest line between having nothing and fighting battles on the tabletop, they really add to the game.
The good stuff in that MM sale seemed to be going quick! So I nabbed some Geckos in that sale... Four, actually. I'm not even sure there's an entirely viable way to field four of them but as I paint way more than I play... I really just wanted the aesthetic impact of 4 mini-tags. I picked up the alguacile SWC box and a Senor Massacre as those things together all fit in under 300 points(if borrow algs and combis from icestorm)...though I'm not sure it's usable. Probably better served benching at least one of the Geckos for a mobile brigada LT or something... anyway... I digress wrong topic.
I did not realize that it was the SWC box of Fusiliers, I actually kind of like some of those... shame, but I've got like 7 freaking bolts so who needs Fusiliers at this point anyway.
Hmm, RPG still sounds interesting, but I'm gonna have to wait for retail. I get stupid about kickstarters. The KS still hasn't deployed yet right?
Yeah, you can totally take four of them in Corregidor. It's just that you only have like 80-88ish points left to spend on a force under 300 points.. and with only 1 or 2 SWC left to play around with. Linkable is probably way too much to ask, but a lot of TAGs get an LT option.. would have been useful.

They supposedly tested linkable Geckos for Paradiso and said it's "too broken".
In any regards, having two boxes means you can field a decent mixture of Mark 12s--which are amazing.

Declaring both Geckos to be 12s seems like a fairly reasonable proxy to do. Especially if those are the only Geckos you have, so it won't be confusing.
Part of the problem with the whole exclusive thing is that both CB and Modiphius have both repeatedly given differing and contradictory information. At various points, they've said that the RPG would be kickstarted, then it wouldn't be, then it would again. That the miniatures would be exclusive, then they're not, then they're exclusive, but not really. It would really help if they would make up their minds.
Since CB is a Spanish company and the Modiphius Kickstarter will only benefit the English version of the RPG, I sincerely doubt that the RPG miniatures would be Kickstarter exclusive because that would mean that all the spanish fanbase will loose their chance to get them.
Also, we have seen like 6 of them, right? Sounds like a box to me, like an starter pack.
I hope not. I'd like to only get Haqq and PanO. I'm sure it's more convenient for producers but as a consumer I really don't like buying models that I might not use.

I mean, there might be other versions of the models that aren't Kickstarter exclusive but the photos of the Nomad and Ariadna ones from the GenCon seminar definitely say 'Crowdfunder Exclusive'.
Hold on, here we go, just posted by Modiphious on the official forum:
Hi guys just wanted to say we have an amazing welcome at Interplanetary. Two local GM's were hosting a lot of people trying the Infinity RPG and I ran about 8 short 2 hour sessions to give as many people as possible a taste for what is to come. In fact we had 8 players in one game - now that was crazy! The highlight for me was running a game for Carlos, Alberto, Gutier and Fernando, some of the founders of Corvus Belli!
A few facts then to help out!
- Originally we were doing a pre-order and then a Kickstarter, but with the delay to spend more time on development we decided to just do one kickstarter and keep it simple
- The Kickstarter will be in english, but we will aim to have translations of the main text of the Kickstarter page and rewards in Spanish, German and French if possible.
- Later on we hope to work with partners to produce German, French and Spanish versions of the books. We're in discussions about these but most likely they will happen in 2016 and will announce more info when we can.
- The Kickstarter will launch at the beginning of September and run for about a month (so until the beginning of October)
- If you want to hear about it first sign up at www.modiphius.com/infinity
- There will be a core book, then supplements for each of the factions, campaigns, an aliens supplement, floor tiles to use with miniatures (if you want, you don't need to use minis), custom dice, card decks, and more....
- There will be miniatures which will be semi exclusive to the kickstarter. You will be able to get them later on but with different poses. Bostria has been showing some of them off.
- There will be a couple of major campaigns - one starts on a ship of Ariadne recruits (and other faction crew) bound for Paradiso and the unfolding invasion. You'll learn the rules on the journey, discover a plot and end up at the centre of a major story. This is based on one of the the Corvus Belli's team's early Infinity RPG adventures. There will be stand alone adventures and one of them starts on the space station during the meeting of factions when the first Combined Army attack destroys the station - you'll be running & gunning as you try to escape and protect the VIP's.
- What about character creation? You'll be using three systems (total point buy to get exactly what you want, total random to start with a unique character or guided lifepath where you spend a few points to guide the random lifepath creation) to generate a character that will be affected by Birth Faction, random life events, Social Status, Environment you were brought up in (colony, farm, space station, ship, big city etc), Education, then you go through from 2-4 Primary Careers to add to your skills, talents, gear etc. Yes you will be able to make exactly the character you want matching the favourite Infinity miniature!
- There will be all new artwork in the books, plus lots of new content on the Factions and Combined Army. We will of course include some existing information for people who don't have the Infinity rulebooks.
- We're expecting the core book to be printed for Christmas, along with other accessories, the first adventure and campaign will be available in PDF, then the other unlocked books will be ready during 2016. Dates to be confirmed.
- What can you expect of the Kickstarter? ....
------ There will be a £40 PDF Master pledge which gets you everything unlocked in PDF (in the last kickstarter we did people got 17 books in PDF for this price and about 3000 pages so it was a great deal).
----- There will be a £60 Print Master pledge which gets you the core book in beautiful full colour hardback, plus everything unlocked in PDF. If you order this pledge you'll get an exclusive PDF adventure (which will later be available as part of a big campaign book) that is based on the Corvus Belli's team's early RPG adventures.
----- There will be a £100 PDF Subscription - getting all the RPG PDF's for the next 2 years
----- There will be something like ... a 'Bostria Master' Pledge ;-) which gets you drawn in to the core book as a character with your own stats and a short piece of story. You can join the Infinity story!
----- There will be a pledge for all the books in print (once they're unlocked)
---- There will be some other pledges once we organise things and you'll find out more soon
----- Our shipping is usually pretty good value and we work hard to get it as low as possible. We also offer the chance to pick up at events in London (Dragonmeet or the Modiphius office), UK Games Expo, Gen Con, or Essen once the books are printed.
----- We'll be doing a survey in the next week or so to check which books you'd like to see first in the stretch goals - what's more important, campaigns, or supplements about the factions, floor tiles or accessories etc?
There's a lot more to tell you but this should be enough for now!
Edit To add a bit more that the above, the game system plays well and more importantly it feels well.
He also said they will try to make at least a few campaigns that revolve around major events, but the characters will be a secondary/ parallel story in the main events, for example in Infinity the Paradiso campaign there is a mission were players fight over the retrieval of the Tohaa diplomatic delegate from an escape pod that has crash landed after CA destroyed the O12 space station were diplomatic talks were held, an RPG campaign in this event may involve players trying to escape from the exploding space station.
No worries guys. It was pretty good timing really, I'd only just posted about the models being Kickstarter exclusive and straight away found that which answered it!
I've never done an RPG before, but my friends have expressed an interest and they enjoyed Infinity so I'm definitely gonna check it out, and if nothing else I'll probably get the core book for the fluff.
I don't know but, my first interaction with it was with the demo in Interplanetary, it felt good and I quite liked the risk/ reword mechanic it has in.
I got into the alpha testing for the RPG, but had little time to do any actual testing due to life[code]â„¢ getting in the way.
It seemed to promote a cinematic feel to games from what I got on read throughs. Not a number crunching game at all.
It was very cooperative with the game master, and the risk/reward system (HEAT when I first looked at it, I think it was changed to Infinity pool) looked pretty cool.
I'll be scraping under my couch to see what I get pick up.
I used to be a huge RPG'er, and I love getting additional fluff, even if I never play a game of the RPG.
That 60 pound pledge sounds mighty tempting. I was worried about getting all of the source books, but getting everything as PDF lets me cherry pick the faction books I want physically later.
I think I might be in this for the 60 pledge and the minis.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Second Post Addendum: So we have moved from Rock-Foot, to Rage-Fist, to Knife-Fist.
While I like the variety (even if non-tag-part Rock-Foot makes it hard for custom bases) I would like the occasional variation in item. Give one of them a Maglight, another could have a sensor scanner (assuming they have sensor skill etc) or spare magazines, bracing hands etc.
I already have bits (or more!) of four factions. As nice of a look as the USAriadnas have...there's just no way. Beside the fact that if I get anymore factions its got to be a Japanese biker gsng with suicide robots and a ninja...
Yeah, there hasn't been a Haqqislam release lately that I didn't want.
The Naffatun are a bugger to get hold of, probably because everyone else had the same reaction that I did upon seeing them. Oddly, the official forums seem full of people unhappy at the recent Haqq releases, but those guys are strange. Either way, it seems like whoever is sculpting the Haqq models lately is absolutely on fire: so many great models, it makes the range as a whole look astounding.

Agreed. I'm planning on starting Haqq in the very near future. As if I didn't already have enough factions. I cannot wait for the new Maghariba Guard (whenever that might be coming) either.

Yeah it is, Modiphious said in the quote I posted on the last page. The RPG models we've seen are Kickstarter exclusives but the same models in different poses will be released normally.
Just started my second faction already myself, though not a jump into USAriadna. Actually picked up Morats due to the lack of much alien players locally. So many PanO and Nomads...

I saw that but it seemed to conflict with some of the stuff Infinity themselves seemed to be saying (although longer ago) so while id be 90% sure that's what will happen until the KS launches I'm not going to be 100% certain

The funny part is that in many places, that exact problem was an issue even before Icestorm!
Morats are a great pick Aduro, you'll enjoy smashing face with the Space Monkeys.

That's indeed correct. I actually like the Morphiduis (sp?) They were awesome during Actung
