Thanks very much for posting, and of course customers are very welcome to post photos in the thread, Its very rewarding to see what other people use the parts for, as I get virtually no time to make my own miniatures these days!
please post some more photos when you get round to painting him!
I should have some new product (new helmets) available to purchase from tonight, for posting from next tuesday.
For now, Ive been through the entire Anvil Dakka Thread and collated this list of things people have requested / Ive put on the list myself.
Everything here will be worked on over the next 6 months or so, and I will try to fit smaller releases in amongst the larger projects-
melee weapons -
chain axe, hammer, normal gladius, ornate two handed weapons with arms attached left handed versions of various melee weapons
New guns -
various energy weapons, heavy weapons, double barrelled rifles, pistols, sniper rifle.
weapon attachements including laser range finder, bipod, red dot scope, sniper scope, double mags, spent ammo casings.
bionics -
left fists sprue, new human scale bionics, bionic legs of various sizes including multi-pose option.
shoulder pads -
large medieval, samurai, tech, studded, old style laurels/skulls re-release.
Helmets/ heads -
egyptian, samurai, gladiator. non-bald bare heads of various kinds, hooded bare heads.
misc steam lord stuff -
armoured melee arms, officer upgrade sprue, gladii, holsters for pistols, grenades,
some more "techy" Steam Lord bits as well as the "monk" parts.
Wings and Jump Packs
Miniature kits-
"True Scale" Steam Lord kit - larger leg and torso parts to go with my existing heads/arms/pads etc.
"Exo Lords" - Steam Lords in really bulky exoskeleton armour, hard as nails.
"Modular Guardsman" Range - If you are waiting for miniatures, conversion parts, weapons etc for regular 28mm sci-fi humans, its all here!
There is whole load more stuff on the horizon as well, including a full range of tanks, transports, Mechs, Gunships etc, but no more details for now, Ive got enough to be getting on with as it is!!
In spite on this long list, I still very much welcome suggestions and ideas for new kits/parts you would like to see. Stuff I really like the sound of, Im happy to bump up the release schedule, particuarly if its pretty small/easy to go.
That is one nice sounding list! Pretty sure you have covered everything that I could ever need!
One thing I would like to see would be some super high-tech steam lord parts (think Infinity or Sedition Wars). Some armour that is all smooth curves and very clean looking would be very nice indeed! Maybe some high-tech laser weaponry to go along with them as well?
Steam Lords rocket/missile launchers to go with your auto cannons. Everyone loves and needs missile launchers!
Would be nice and convenient if they came with a pair of Steam Lord arms to hold them too. I'd buy a heap and I'm sure others would too, they are always in high demand for those wishing to convert missile launcher Devestators/Havocs.
@Sicksix, Yep Its on the way if I can get it to look right.
Missile Launchers and other heavy weapons - Definately on the list!
For now, new product-
All the old helmets have been redrawn in CAD and 3D printed, so they are much higher quality than previously.
Ive also released a few new designs, and next week will be releasing a set of "skull" helmets plus a couple more varient helms hopefully.
Now that is what I am talking about! I knew it was a good idea to hold off getting some heads, I can think of many uses for them. Details are nice and crisp, I especially like the two middle ones.
Not sure about the skull head you have just shown, I think I need to see it on a torso but something seems a little off, maybe it is not shaped like a normal skull or something? Anyway, I shall wait to see it on a steam lord before I jump to conclusions!

I know! its too flat and the jaw is too wide, so it looks more like an ape skull, I noticed after I cast it, but left it on to show whats coming up
The skull has been resculpted/cast and I will be making a set of 5 slightly different ones.
Wow, Joel, that is a long list of stuff to do! I was wondering about the Modular Guardsmen range, what proportions will you be aiming for? Obviously, in 28mm scale you can have GWIG proportions or the more realistic ones FWDKOK and your very own Imperial Borderers.
Speaking of which, I finally got around to doing my own test Borderer, it's nowhere near as good as IceSword's, but hopefully it might help persuade a few people to put in some orders:

First I love the helmets but the Medieval version helmet looks at little well clunky, which is good its just the helmet looks weird compared to the previous one. Otherwise great job and the skull smiling guy creeps me out.
Otherwise... Everything as usual looks awesome!
And the predator looks awesome!
Also question do you have plans for a new close combat weapon O.o
@Sockwithaticket-
Im creating a stand alone range, but obviously want to ensure my components are compatible with a wide range of other manufacturers kits to allow for maximum conversion potential.
My kits will probably be closest in scale/proportion to Forgeworlds Imperial Guard sets, perhaps with slightly bulkier ankles/wrists/guns to ensure my models are sturdy enough for gaming with.
Thanks very much for posting the photo! it looks great!
@Asherian Command, Thanks! the new medieval helmet is actually slightly smaller than the old one, but a bit chunkier than the other new designs.
New Melee weapons on the list so far - Chain Axe, "regular" sword, and some two handed ornate looking hammer/axe/glaive thingys.
3d Printing is going to be amazing for miniature design, imagine the quality of the Heads and Ornate pieces. This is like what 2nd generation technology now? Maybe even 3rd. Imagine what this stuff will be like in 3 years time....Time to design your own stuff in CAD.
Just ordered a load of the forge ruins bases and a few other odds and ends, looking forward to seeing how they turn out and getting some Orks and Marines based up soonish!
You know I was thinking, the humble Space Marine Scout doesn't have many options for bodies?
It might be nice to have a Scout with Robes over their Armour. It would be good for BT, DA, and any other conversion where you want a gothic Scout. Like IRON HANDS scouts, looking like a Mechanicum Priest with your Hooded Head and a Red tabard. Here is an example in GW Imagery, but they never made an example?
Important note (which im sure has been pointed out before)-
I cannot design or make robed scouts, robed terminators, Mechanicum priests etc etc, all those concepts and names are the property of Games Workshop, I have to politely decline your suggestions.
Ive previously stated an intention to make Steam Lords in Exo-Armour suits, which I suppose could have robes sculpted over the top.. Ill figure out some concept sketchs..
Wonderful hooded heads! They're replacing some heads from another maker so almost my entire army will be from you! Expect a pretty huge order at some point in the future...
I can't wait for more Imperial Guard sort of stuff. The current rifles are great for Autogun/Lasgun replacements. They'll be great for Necromunda and 40k! I may purchase some soon!
Thanks very much guys, I cant really take credit for the hooded heads, Ice Sword from miniatures of the north did them for me, sculpting over the bare heads which were done by Robert Starling. All I actually did, for once, was a bit of reshaping and clean up to ensure they fitted the steam lords correctly!
@Joshua. Im planning a full range which I think you will like, most of my rifles are a little bit to big to be used with guardsman scale miniatures, so I will soon be releasing slightly smaller versions with the mags attached, plus a couple of new rifles.
-----------
Ive been playing around with CAD and its going quite well. Ive made three new components to include with my next 3D printing order.
Got a rifle? great, but what if you need to put a round precisely into the eye of a rampaging alien, or straight through the view port of an approaching battle tank? Only Anvil Industry offers the precision you need!
- Sniper Scope (bottom image) - approx 50% longer than my tactical scope, with dials for adjusting the optics.
-Red Dot/Reflex Scope - compact, good for room clearing.
-PEQ-2 laser range finder - shown here on the side, but could also go on the top rail or underneath.
All compatible with the rail system on my range of assault rifles, and with a bit of modelling can be used with virtually any 28mm scale weapon.
These will not go to the printer for a few days yet, so I welcome any feedback on the design, particularly if you've previously requested these items!
I love then all! The laser dot one has to be my favorite so far, very cool.
The anti material rifle still looks a bit too much like the normal widow makers, not sure what could be added or taken away to change that, let me mull over it while I have some breakfast!
that array of scopes and sights will help a lot in making spec ops themed Chosen. Not really sold on the weapons, but that's just my preference. Nice to see the Miniatures of the North stuff up - it's great that you're planning to make addons for them. if there was a sci-fi Fallen Dwarf Lord kits I'd buy it up in a second *CoughChaosSquatsRuleCough*
Charax I have no plans for the MOTN range, its all IceSword calling the shots on that, Im just the manufacturer.
Charlie agreed with you lot, the rifle was lacking something.
Im now proposing to supply it with two different barrel ends - a 50cal style Recoil suppressor, and a traditional silencer for when you need to be a bit sneakier..
the end of the barrel will have an attachement nub which can have either barrel end glued/pushed on.
What do you guys think?
LLD, Ill try and get the smaller guns out of the way pretty soon, as I want to use the smaller guns for my upcoming guardsman project.

Bipod will be done for sure, whats an eotech?
snub nose - do you mean a much shorter barrel? buy a sniper rifle and stick the spare end on a regular widow maker! or do you mean a smaller barrel end?
Bullpub wouldnt work with any planned or existing arm set! so sadly not an option.
Im getting on with the guardsman project, Just need to learn to do CAD design first, hence these smaller projects in the lead up!
Now here is something i totally forgot about a few days ago, a new spartan helmet "gladiator"
I could cast it as it is currently, but im wondering about putting a row of short triangular spikes along the top crest peice, Id welcome feedback on this design?
Also looks good, could easily be used as an alternate helm for a chaplain as well as it looks like an aged design and I quite like it! well done as usual!
Oooh! The Spartan Gladiator head looks nice!
Btw, an Eotech is a form a Holographic sight.
Can't wait to see some of the IG scale projects.
Roll on September!
Sniper rifle is good, but make the barrel thinner, longer, and move it up the gun body some. Lose the rod in the top of it. Bipod is a must, for me so I pray you make these, even if only as extras. Love the different barrel ends though I prefer the silencer, the Barret style end is also very tempting.
When all are out, I will have to get a couple of sniper rifles, sniper scopes, and bipods to work on a couple of the squad I want to do. I will also need at least 4 sets of poseable bionic legs and arms, 10 steamlord backpacks, and some more bases.
I think this squad has been on hold waiting for parts for about a year now, but without your excellent parts, they would never get completed.
Ill have a go at making an Eotech also, now that Ive googled it.
Conrad - longer thinner barrel without top rod = snapped off the first time you game with it. I am limited by the strenght of the resin. Also its meant to be a super high bore anti-material rifle.
Bipod will definatly be supplied with the sniper rifle and will also be available separately. Im going to make it so it can be assembled folded under the gun, or deployed.
The poseable bionic legs will be another month or so im afraid, but they are right at the top of the list.
But right now - I do have somthing new, I previewed this a while ago and last night I finnished it off and cast it.
The Widow Maker Squad Automatic Weapon- perfect for mowing down entire squads of enemy light/medium infantry!
Its cast as a single peice with the arms and gun, and a separate strip of ammo which glues on the arm.
Nice, not sure about the Skull with a Plume? Anyway JOEL this stuff is amazing, especially for those of us doing PRE-HERESY and need man portable Autocannon options. The new PH FW Books might be good for shifting your more distinctive lines.
Haven't dropped in for a bit and I'm really impressed with some of the new stuff.
Loving the Raven and Winged Predator heads, and once I'd changed my pants and cleaned myself up I tried to order some for my Raven Guard.
It may just be that I'm on my phone but when it came to entering details I got to delivery address and got a load of error gibberish. Will try again on laptop later but just wanted to make you aware there may be a problem with placing orders via smartphone. The whole site was very stop start speed wise too.
But those heads.. my Raven Guard salute you! Except the ones I'm going to have to decapitate and replace their heads with these.
I think that ammo feed draped over the arm is genius! so different and looks excellent, the gun itself is great too and the skull helm is looking good!
Well I have to say you took your time in releasing the big guns Joel! It was worth the wait though, final product is fantastic, any chance of an ammo drum variant?
That looks great! I also think the ammo over the arm was a great trick of unique genius! And as one who has experience with M240B machine guns, that is actually quite appropriate.
Great job and I can't wait to see other heavy weapons that you may have in the works (and if you don't you should!)

Yes what he said I agree, dam wish I could have explained that way

Seconding the Recoil suppressor end. That is just way too cool.
Don't worry, replacing the barrel on the sniper rifle is easy enough with some brass rod. But will I need a collar of some sort to attach the bipod?
And one of those SAWs will definately be included. That ammo belt draped over the arm looks amazing.
All your products are well worth the wait, but I really want to get this squad done so I can put up some pictures and help advertise your stuff.
Might have to split my order into two pieces then, leave the legs for the second order, but that also means not doing the SAW equipped guy as he would be the one with the most bionics and I want the legs to show why he can handle the big gun.
@Azrael13 - if someone tried to remove my head and replace it, id be pretty unhappy as well! thanks for your order!
I will test the website when I get my smartphone soon.
Thanks everyone for feedback about the gun! No drummag planned but -
@sicksix - yep definatey planning a few more including laser cannon and missile launcher options.
@conrad - apologies for the wait! im really working as hard as I can.
Im not sure about the bipod yet, Ill be aiming to make it as flexible as possible
Not sure I can top this amazing new steam lord stuff but for what it's worth: here's the contents of the next shipment to Anvil from Miniatures of the North.
Imperial Borderer Grenadiers. Separate legs/torso's on these guys to get more out of the poses.
Cultists. Separate heads and hands/weapons. Few minor tweaks here and there before I pack them up.
Waiting on pay-day Friday, then I will order a set of Skull Helmets and a pair of robed heads. I need to build a Terminator Chaplain and a Terminator Librarian, so these will be perfect for that.
LDD - yes Ill try and figure out a version with box mag to go on my tripod product.
@sockwithaticket.
most days I get up about 8.30, work till about 11.30 with an hour or so for meal breaks, so recently Ive probably been putting in around 70 hours a week.
By the looks of them, I would say that they are considerably smaller then GW guardsmen. I like this however, it means that Joels steam lords are 'true scale' to the borderers, perfect!
true that. I actually think the paint job makes them come out looking even better than the models themselves actually are (which is quite nice already ), it's really quite lovely. Red *is* one of the "easier" colors to get right on robes in my experience, though. maybe that's what he means?
I only bust out the paints every other month so my painting skills have slipped over the years. Doesn't really matter what colour it actually is: it's still the same principles and methods I'll use regardless.
(Recipe for those robes was a base coat of dark red, wash with watered down black, highlight with the base coat dark red again, highlight with a lighter red colour then a final tiny highlight of orange.)
Once I get my website live I'll have tutorials galore along with rules and background.
Re: other races, not sure about Joel's Anvil range but I have a few in the works for MOTN. They won't hit until next year though.
We will have the full range of products available for sale on the day, (Cash only at the moment im afraid!).
Look forward to meeting any UK Dakka members who will be there.

LOVE the one with the .50 cal muzzle! I'll have 15x, please?
Ordered a load of the "Forge Ruins" bases and a couple of other bits. Hugely impressed with the incredibly fast delivery, and well packaged, er, package.
These bases are really beautiful, a great quality product!! They've got a nice weight to them so should add stability to models, especially compared to GW plastic bases. One thing I will say is that when clipping the bits of resin "sprue" off the bases, it's a bit like clipping toenails off a bear, the bits go pinging off all over the place and sound pretty solid when they hit things, after two I moved out into the garden and clipped the rest off whilst pointing the clippers well away from my face as the zooming resin is a bit of a hazard, but once you've got the hang of it, it's fine. Definitely going to order more, I think all the DV Hellbrutes deserve big bases from Anvil to do them justice.
Pictures in this thread when I've got some fully painted models to show off!
Hey, Anvil, I just had an idea. It's incredibly difficult to get hold of urban conversion pieces for models. It could be a small plan to maybe get some into production so people can use them as rebels and rag-tag militias, maybe?
Some conversion bits compatible with the new Chaos Cultists, to make them less Chaosy and more suitable for other 'urban war' troops, sounds a good idea.
@Sikil, of course you can! I plan to include both ends as standard with each sniper rifle.
@Nuclear Mekanik - thanks very much! please do post finnished photots in this thread!
I know the resin gate snaps off with some speed - a problem with most large resin gates, the best option is to saw them off, or altenatively, you can put a jumper/hoody on your lap and direct the "ping" down into that, this is what I do.
@BlapBlapBlap and Clang -
Yes yes and YES. I wont be making any dedicated conversion kits for any GW stuff, but I am planning a full range of sci-fi guardsmen, which will include a few rag-tag urban milita options.

COLOURS Wargames Show-
We are packing up the van as we speak, so if you're going to this wargames show at Newbury Racecourse - see you there tommorow or sunday, Come and say hello!
Woohoo. I'll be ordering some robed heads and bionic heads i think. I've a mind to get a little cultist detachment going from Cawdor, Redemptionist and any other model in robes I can find. Those heads will help to tie everything together.
Also, another CRAZY IDEA. I've noticed a distinct lack of wispy-moustache/topknotted 'Mongol Style' heads. It seems that someone could capitalise on this and make some, and that many many people would buy them for their 'very fast mongol-style Steam Lords on Bikes' army. I certainly would.
Apparently there are Anvil Industry stickers in existence which I have no knowledge of!! slightly concerning..
I dont currently have any stickers, LLD do you mean a business card? I send those out..
I will add "stickers" to the list of stuff to send out free on request!
Im really annoyed because it looks like I managed to lose/delete the CAD file with the scopes/rifle, so Im going to have to make all those peices again, Bah!!
While im at it though, I will make a few other new bits and send off an order later this week.
Anything in particular people want included in the "guns" 3D print run?
currently-
sniper rifle
scope
reflex
PEQ
bi-pod
2x alternative energy/heat weapon
doubled barrelled versions of some guns.
I was sure you had a sticker about the same size as Kits Zing industry ones now go and make them anyway
All sounds great ……….. still waiting on the human sized weapons mind real shame about that lost file was hoping to get some decent sniper rifles
I like the idea for the pistol especially the top pic mwnciboo posted, I would also like to see some goggles and night vision add ons for helmets and heads
Liking the grenadiers a lot! The extra armour on them makes them a bit more beefy. I would maybe like to see some different style heads though, not overly fond of the current ones.
If you're looking for ideas for guns, I'd like to see some from Firefly: Mal's pistol, Zoe's shotgun, Jayne's pistol, and of course, Jayne's very favourite gun, Vera.
@Orlando - Very interesting pistol - I read the wikipedia article about it! I certainly like the concept.
Zogg - thanks, again, there is a wikipedia article about the guns of Firefly!
@Sgt.Roadkill - Sure its a bit "out there" as guns go, but if I only made stuff which would appeal to everyone Id have no products!
@mwnciboo -
Have you seen Zinge Industries at www.zinge.co.uk?
He has a bunch of random 28mm scale weapons which may suit for your purposes!
Here is my Revolver - pretty standard except for the small matter of it being chambered for 50.Cal rounds, you need to be super human just to avoid a broken wrist!
What do you guys think? Ill also print a smaller version for regular humans.
(and I must confess a fasination for the fiirearms of the American Civil War, and 'wild west' which is where the Le Matt turned up as one of the many weapons the confederates tried to buy in from Europe to make up for their lack of manufacturing capacity)
It has starred in a fair few RPG i've run and played in
I have a Lemat reproduction from when i did Civil War Reenacting , and it's a really cool gun. It was even cooler when Firefly came out and Jayne was using a sci-fi'ed version of one.
Nothing beats 9x45cal rounds and a 20Gauge shotgun barrel. Thing's massive, too- it weighs 4.5 pounds.
At first I thought it was a grenade launcher until I saw the pistol next to it. I like the idea of the huge cylinder but it just doesn't seem to translate well into 3D. You could always bulk out the bottom of the actual pistol to make it wrap around more, atm the handle especially seems a bit lost.
Yeah maybe the Handle should taper outwards towards the top so it is the same diameter. Looking at other Revolvers that seems to be a key design feature..
I think reducing the size of the cylinder by 20% - 33% would do the trick.
I'm not a huge fan of the oversized cylinder, I'd rather see some more vaguely realistic weapons - which doesn't mean you shouldn't make them - just make some more realistically proportioned ones as well. More choices are always good, and I really liked the one you showed in in the thread.
She couldn't even lift that, despite Anime's attempts to rewrite the laws of physics, I am yet to see a girl with the Physique of Carly Rae Jepson wield a Barrett M82 like it was a Nerf gun.
Any way of bulking up those cultists a little? They seem kinda stringy.
The guns ok, but those guys are to small to carry anything larger then a 38 or a .380.
How about giving them small machine pistols like Mac 10's or Uzi's? You give the weapons a little more like a silencer, and scopes and stuff. maybe a sling?Even give those guys some bulpup rifles, light machineguns, or something else- maybe, like a Calico, an AUG, or an HK MP5?
mwnciboo wrote: She couldn't even lift that, despite Anime's attempts to rewrite the laws of physics, I am yet to see a girl with the Physique of Carly Rae Jepson wield a Barrett M82 like it was a Nerf gun.
Clearly it has suspensors attached.
But yeah, that's why I'd rather have something a bit more feasable and ideally, a real-world weapon.
Pistol - I dont want to make the drum smaller, but I have made the front about 50% longer, so the drum is smaller in proportion.
The handle - not much point doing anything fancy with it, as this pistol is designed to have the handle removed so it can be attached to a hand, and most existing hands have this style of pistol grip!
I have however changed the angle a bit.
@mwunciboo, that long black revolver is amazing! Im going to use it at the basis for a combat shotgun!
@LDD they are on the way, rescaled weapons will be the first thing along with the armatures to sculpt the guardsman range.
@Scipio - Yes I will be making some more sensibly proportioned weapons for the gaurdsman range, starting with re-scaled versions of some of the steam lord weapons. They will still be over size, as actual scale guns would be almost invisible on a 28mm scale model, and also a pain to cast properly!
@grot 6 - the cultists are done by a sculptor - Icesword, who is designing his own range for a future game universe. the range is in "true" proportions, so they look skinny because they are actual proportions, rather than the "heroic" scale used by most manufacturers.
Attached is somthing Ive been working on last night ans this morning.
Widow Maker Sniper Rifle, which will be supplied with a choice of three barrel ends, scope, bipod and two different Mag options.
Really like the basic design, but then again, I have always liked the 'Widowmaker' series.
Not sold on the CQB barrel, think the suppressor is the mutts nuts, but would like the bipod designed to sit just behind the suppressor. (Although it should be an easy mod to make myself.)
Isn't there a new weapon where you can change the barrel and upper receiver on a M16 type body so soldiers can quickly and easily go from standard weapon to long range support as they carry the other barrel on their backs. That's what this reminds me of.
Haven't been keeping track of this company much since I'm not in the market for marine parts, but I have to say, the newer MOTN stuff is absolutely brilliant.
Particularly like the Fallen Dwarfs, they're so much better looking than the forge world ones, it would be great to see that range expanded to offer blunderbusses, great weapons, elites and artillery.
Almost all Heavy Weapons can be mounted on a Tripod, and a nice looking one might be good.
One thing I have never seen modelled, is a proxy for a NAVAL PISTOL, this was described in the old Inquisitor Book pg 67.
It would basically be a huge/ chunky / Sci -fi Revolver.
I would love some futuristic revolvers similar to that. Ive searched for them before with no good results, even looking to toy action figure lines.
Also...just today I received my order of Steam Lords, and I must say they are great looking bits. Castings are very clean, on par with the Puppets War bits Ive bought, and better than my Chapterhouse tru-scale kits.
Sniper rifles are amazing! Can't wait for this gun range to expand the way I think it will. Possibilities are endless: foregrips, gun shields, bayonets, stocks. And the list goes on!
Something else that would be good would be some flexible gun straps that would fix on to the widowmakers. Don't think anyone sells something like that. (Although maybe Zinge might, seems his type of thing...)
The modular XM8 concept may actually suit a manufacturer Anvil very well - a selection of weapon front and back bits that can be joined in any combination to make whatever weapon style is wanted by the customer. So e.g. the same heavy machine gun could be altered to suit any model from a weedy goblin to a power-armoured mega-soldier by simply choosing the appropriate mounting bits. This would also suit looted/ramshackle-style armies which don't use identical equipment (orks, cultists and similar), making it much easier to arm each soldier in a squad with a different variant of the same gun.

You know what, Clang might be on to something good here. I would never have thought of it, but the modular gun system with multiple options all interconnected would provide some very interesting options.
It was Clang's idea so kudos and credit to him for coming up with an idea that no other producer is doing right now.

I don't quite mean actual scale (I"ve got a bunch of Eureka Moderns - and yes they're too small for heroic 28mm
But I'm thinking more like Kev White/Hasslefree's excellent modern weapons - real weapons done realsitically enough, but with concessions to the material and scale.
If you were to make some, they probably wouldn't work so well with Steam Lords, but would with a variety of manufacturers, obviously including your own guardsmen and the Iceforge stuff.

Sorry Joel, that's not the one. The one I saw was on the programme "Future Weapons" and looked like a M16/M4 weapon. I have looked on the Discovery channel website and not been able to find a picture of the one I was looking at, but not to worry.
Glad to hear the bipods will be able to be glued on further forward, looks like the items I need to complete my squad are nearing completion. still waiting for the full set of positionable bionics (Legs and arms) then I will put in an order for your heavy widowmaker, sniper rifle, bionics, and possibly a couple of revolvers if the design fits what I am after.
I would also like to see a 'less than bolt gun /shotgun' revolver in the style of that shown previously by mwnciboo. The problem I see with the design you posted, was there is nothing underneath the cylinder, so there is nothing supporting it if it breaks there for loading, nor is there anything visible which would allow the cylingder to swing out for re-loading.
This is more Anti-materiel than a distance thing (Guessing it would be great at Close Quarters crap at 300 yard plus.
Otherwise it could just be a simple Barrel change, from Assault Rifle to Sharpshooter/ Marksman Rifle, which actually a lot of manufacturers are turning to in order to give their customers a simple logisitics system e.g one System with 3 different roles streamlining Military Small arms.

Saw that episode of Future Weapons a couple of weeks ago, and it is still fresh in my mind. The 7.62 SABR.
Spoiler:
Pretty cool concept but I think a little subtle for 28mm.
@Scarletsquig - Thanks, Icesword reads this so should see your feedback on his range.
@mad4minis - cheers! glad you are happy with the product! I may do some more revolvers at some point but its not a priority. so much stuff on my hands at the moment.
@Commander cain - thanks for the list! flexible rifle straps is an awesome idea, Ill get getting some flexible resin at some point to make parts for planned larger kits, so its pretty doable and I think would sell well, assuming Kit doesnt beat me to it!
@Overtyrant - Yes Ill do flame throwers if I can come up with a good concept for it, probably a combined flamer/acid/chemical cannon.
@clang and mwnciboo - Its a great idea, but too fiddly to cast all those small parts, it would take ages to put each weapon together and they would be quite expensive. It would be easier to just make and sell all the different varients, rather than the parts to make them,
modular scopes and mags is as far as I think is sensible at the moment!
@Shumagorath - Yep Blender, it does everything I need it for, and more importantly, its FREE!! Which makes a big difference for a small company like ours.
@scipio - thanks for the photos - when I get to the modular Gaurdsman range, Ill be making options to fit with various time periods including modern day special forces teams, so expect some realistic guns of some kind at some point - no promises on time scale though!
@conrad turner - thanks for feedback, you are right about the reloading - the cylinder swings out from the top on this sci-fi model, which conveniently means I dont have to change it. I may go back and take another look at the revolver but for the time being im working on other guns.
@Moopy, nice, but not the style im going for with the current range.

That is indeed the little beauty I was comparing Joels work to, Vain. But I wasn't saying Joel should make something like this, I was saying he already had. The stock, handgrip, and main body of the widowmaker 'Headshot' sniper rifle are the same as the widowmaker assault rifle that he has already produced. So it could be argued that Joel has worked this to be the same system as the SABR, and widowmaker rifles can be changed to sniper rifles just by carrying the extra barrel and receiver assembly with you.
I so NEED one of these beauties, and a heavy WM for an all round, get out of any situation, A-Team type squad.
Just FYI, if anyone else is looking at picking up some of these hooded heads for use with the MotN cultists, they're about 25% bigger than the MotN ones and don't work great for swaps. Same with the bare heads. Stick with the ones that come with the kit.
Agreed. The math is good motivation. The quality, service, and the thought that goes into the designs mean that AI surpass GW and FW in every area, IMO
SickSix wrote: Well I was getting super pumped about the FWHH stuff.... until I created a price spreadsheet.
I can get 10 Steam Lords for a bit less than HALF of 10 FW MkIII space marines.
I may get the book. But I won't be building a FW pre-heresy army. Maybe a few special characters or something....
I've been wanting to order from Anvil for a while. The math is good motivation.
Making a FW army is a big investment in funds. I've got a bunch of FW marines, which I'll be mixing in with my regular GW plastics both as full figures and also as parts. My Steam Lords figures will be doing the same. Ditto some of the various Polish figures...
I'm hoping FW will do some crazy Pre-Heresy Landspeeder leaving the old style 1st and 2nd Edition ones alone. This could be interesting for 3rd parties producing "Skimmer craft", and actually I think puppetswar has just released one.
Steam Knights in general seem to be very popular as Pre-Heresy seems to be going turbo.
@skarsol - Yes the MOTN stuff is "real" scale whereas my Steam Lords are very much "Heroic". Ill look at making the listings more clear on this, I hope you put the heads to a good use!
@sicksix and conrad - thanks very much! I do my best to offer the best value possible.
New torsos on the way, so dont order any Steam Lords just yet.
@mwnciboo - I want to make a new jetbike and an attack VTOL vehicle of some sort, just got to find the time!
@ Everyone generally -
Apologies for being a bit under the radar recently! work on new product continues, Im sending a new sprue to the printers tommorow so you can expect to see the new sniper rifle and accessories available in a couple of weeks, along with some new torsos!
I have got some new stuff from Miniatures of the North which I think I mentioned last week, they are now up for pre order-
Imperial Borderer Grenadiers -
Heavy Plate Armour and Powerful Sub Machine guns! They come in 5 parts each, including separate legs, so with just three different minis, you can create lots of variety.
and some more guys for them to fight - Cultists!
Like the other MOTN kits, these are both "real" scale so a lot skinnier than most kits on the market. Available now to pre order, shipping next Monday.
Also here is a preview of one of my upcoming energy weapons - an Anti- Matter Rifle.
Im posting a lot of CAD previews on the Anvil Industry facebook page at the moment, so "like" the page if you want all the updates and a chance to suggest new stuff and design changes.
Skarsol, Yes, the heads are the same, the cultists are sculpted on the same blanks as the crowmantians, I assume they are allied/linked to the crowmantians in Iceswords game universe but he can confirm/correct me on that..
Anvils Hammer wrote: @Scarletsquig - Thanks, Icesword reads this so should see your feedback on his range.

Thanks for the excellent product. They are going to sit unbuilt for a bit while I sort through the bits box and decide exactly how I want to kit them out...after I decide if they are going to be scifi or sci-fantasy. I will surely show them off and spread the word once they are done.
Brilliant casting by Anvil! Can't wait to paint up some of this new lot.
Re: the Fallen Dwarves – nearing completion are regimental command minis, some missile troops armed with crossbows (with possible future conversion options to black powder weapons) and a two man 'greek fire' style weapon team (medieval flamethrower).
Some pics to follow at the weekend – new space pirates and some additional occult themed minis!
Whilst everyone waits for Anvil weapons I'll fill in the waiting time with some stuff I've just posted on my blog-
Test for a Tox Trooper:
Cult High Priest and Drone attendants:
House Crowmantia squad leader and heavy weapon (I know of some other upcoming 'robed' minis form Anvil and can't wait to paint some up to stand beside my Crowmantian troopers):
Looks nice. I'd love to see a "braced for firing" pose for the machinegunner. Looks like a .30 cal he's toting there, which kinda works in heroic scale but harder to pull off in "true proportions".
@LDD - Ill get to them eventually.. just got a lot of other stuff I want to do as well! :p
Which weapons specifically do you want? The human size rifles are not going to have separate mags - Ill probably do a few different ones - a few regular rifles plus a couple of laser rifles.. any suggestions guys?
The energy weapons Im currently working on will also be scaled down at some point. And yes ill make arms for them!
@Icesword - looking good!! get me those tox troopers asap!!
Guys - the new sniper rifle, scopes etc should fingers crossed, arrive today, so expect them to surface soon!
Re: the heavy machine gun trooper – I don't think I can make any tweaks or changes without compromising the entire mini's pose. What you can do though is slip a little slab/slate under the front foot which will elevate the mini and raise the gun barrel horizontally. I worked from one of my dollies but to achieve a 'firing' posture I'll need to do another from scratch.... I'd like to do another version soon.
The Fallen Dwarves don't seem to have generated any interest anywhere but they are my baby, I hope once I branch out the line they will be more appealing.
More Tox troopers will be taking shape over the coming weeks, along with some snow troopers!
I feel stupid commenting on anyone else's work considering I can't sculpt a booger. The Tox trooper is fan-freakin'-tastic! But my one, and only, complaint is their weapons. They seem so out of sync with the rest of the beautiful sculpt. Too plain maybe. Please, keep up the awesome work.

That rifle is just a stock part I have, I'll be bashing them up and adding little bits here and there (a semi circular plate with vent holes along the barrel perhaps).
Joel human sized weapons would be the widow maker, exorcist and heretic ranges, designs rifle and carbine also pump action shotgun and automatic shotgun please ………. Pretty please
I would just like the originals scaled down to human size plus anything else you want to add to the human size range will be greatly excepted and any of the add ons
Just holding of building some units in hope of these
LDD - you just listed ALL the guns. I cant do all of them, Im just going to do the Widow maker, Exorcist, and a sniper rifle, to start with. Others will follow on.
Im moulding the new weapon parts today so those should be available to order tommorow evening! Photos later today hopefully.

Thats because I want them all mate LOL
But thats a good start mate and will be ready with payment as soon as
Hmmm, I wonder how hard it would be remove the crossbow from the dwarves and replace with shotguns. Some diminunitive Chaos Cultist? The Tork would also fit that bill.
Amazing work man! All the accessories are top-notch as well, I especially like the regular ammo clip with the bullet at the top.
Names huh? Lets see here.
How about the Tremor Rifle? Looks like it could shake the ground up pretty good when it is shot!
I will be back with more ideas in a bit...
Slipstream wrote: How about 'The Bert Gummer'?, anyone familiar with the survivalist from the Tremors films will know who I mean!
Anyone familiar with the Tremors series would probably be able to spell his name right
I'd go for the Waldron (name of the sniper with the highest number of recorded kills of any American soldier) or the Furlong (longest distance for a sniper shot at one and a half miles)
(I chose Waldron because The White Death might have some unfortunate implications)

The smg and lmg look fantastic Joel! Expect an order from me soon.
The smg should be called the viper.
Another name for the sniper could be the Skull Taker.
I have my blog on hold for your guardsman project. Because of your new smg I already have to rebuild 10 guys.
And lastly I would like to see you create an M8 Cylinder grenade
I noticed what looked like a new torso modeling the revolver (which looks very nice btw, although it doesn't look as smooth as the other guns?). When might we be seeing it released? Looked like something I would love to own along with legs like that and ahem, those armoured melee arms...
I will probably wait till the Steam Lord set is back up and then make another purchase. Chances are you will preview more stuff and I will have to wait again though!
At least five different people have suggested "Widow Maker" despite my already having a weapon called that... :p
Thanks for further suggestions and feedback on new stuff.
@Newabortion - whats an smg and lmg?
I will add the smoke grenade style to the list, I want to do a few sets of grenades, though other manufacturers already have it well covered so not a priority.
@Newabortion and Ouze - The new rifle is NOT regular human infantry sized, its 40mm long!
Im going to down scale this weapon for regular human infantry, when I release some regular human infantry!
You could use this rifle with regular guardsman scale models, but the gun would have to be on the ground with a bipod and prone operator, otherwise it would look ridiculous.
You could also model a sniper/spotter team carrying the rifle between them.
@Commander Cain - thanks very much, and yes thats the "blank" which I will be adapting to make a number of new torsos to replace the existing torso range.
Image below for those who wonder what im talking about.
The revolver isnt quite as smooth as the other guns, but bare in mind its very small and a very big photo!
Mk 23 "Samael" Pattern Anti Materiel Rifle
Alternatively, the "Archangel" Pattern would also probably work pretty well.
Additionally, I think you should call the Revolver the Texecutioner, a "clever" portmanteau of Texas and Executioner. I don't know if Texas is inhabited by Steam Lords, but I assure you, those guys have revolvers. Were you aware that it is Texas state law that if you buy a six pack of Lone Star, the liquor store must give you a hand gun? Interestingly enough, chewing tobacco is mandated and strictly enforced. Also, you're not allowed to eat in a resturaunt that is currently on fire. That last one really limits your dining experiences.

I'm calling bunkum on that lot. If you weren't allowed to eat in a resteraunt that was on fire, how come Texas has the greatest, and most numerous, 'cue pits on the planet. And I believe that it's the other way round with the firearm and the six pack. I.e. if you buy a hand gun, they are forced to give you a six-pack of beer.
PS. 'cue pit = Barbecue pit, the only way to make real 'cue!
Conrad Turner wrote: I'm calling bunkum on that lot. If you weren't allowed to eat in a resteraunt that was on fire, how come Texas has the greatest, and most numerous, 'cue pits on the planet. I could very well be mixed up. I spent the whole year there buzzed on free Lone Star, full of brisket and half deaf from six shooters going off. Easy to get confused in Texas.
Automatically Appended Next Post: And something a bit more on topic. I just went on the Anvil site and saw that the torsos are off line pending a remodeling. That's what I respect most about Anvil. It was a good product, but you felt like you could do better, so you will. Rather than let wares sit on your shelves that you aren't satisfied with, you improve them. That's how to run a business.
Joel, I love the Revolver. At the very least with a bit of modelling people can do all sorts with it. I'm just chuffed to bits that a suggestion that I (amongst other people who agreed that a revolver would be nice) made has turned into a reality.
Oh by the way for the rail gun I suggest you put a view screen onto it. Like make it look advanced as if it is a new technology but clunky so that its not like a standard issue but a prototype. If that is what your going for,
Oh Joel, Why do you keep making things so hard for me. The sniper rifle I ordered is amazing, and now I have a right quandry on my hands again. Do I put the (Slightly) shorter Barret M109 type barrel on it, or the longer silencer? Do I remove the stock mag from it in favour of the drum mag to match the widowmakers of the rest of the squad, or do I make the sniper stand out more by leaving him with the stick mags?
(Currently I'm leaning towards the silencer and leaving the stick mags so the sniper and the heavy have more distinuished weapons than otherwise, not that the SAW is inconspicuous.)
I'm going to have to work out what arms will go where as I will be mixing your bionics with standard GW marine arms and torsos, but will start a WIP thread as soon as there is any appreciable progress on them.
Apologies for silence recently, Really busy here at the Anvil Forge.
@Sicksix - 6 new torsos coming up, the one I previewed is actually just the "blank" version.
@noneoftheabove0 - Yep we think its the way to run a business as well! I had the heads re done in 3D, and when I saw them immeditately knew the torsos needed the same treatement! They are shaping up nicely. The Legs will also be redone, but not till next year now.
@mwunciboo - Cheers! Keep the suggestions coming and Ill keep making the stuff!
@Conrad - I apologise, I will try to release things with only one configuration in future.. (joking obviously - hard choices are good for the soul!)
More generally - Ive nearly completed the first new torsos, and also the Medieval Melee arms, Hope to get some preview photos out tommorow morning!
I'm so close to putting a large order in, (your Steam Lords range is very good for customising Iron Warriors Chaos Space Marines!) but I was just wondering if there was any chance of shoulder-mounted missile launchers soon?
Also, I know your autocannons are designed with the tripod in mind, but would they look good in the hands of a Steam Lord? i.e. in a rifle grip like the sniper guy at the top of the page, despite being a large cannon?
I agree a blank torso opens a whole range of customisation options. When you come to scaling down weapons for human hands will the rifles be the same scale/size to fit 'other' human armies
El_Capitan wrote: I'm so close to putting a large order in, (your Steam Lords range is very good for customising Iron Warriors Chaos Space Marines!) but I was just wondering if there was any chance of shoulder-mounted missile launchers soon?

Check under heavy weapons Capitan, there's a missile launcher in the style of the cyclone... or do you mean the single tube launchers?
Two on the left are updated versions of the Spartan and Medieval torsos - remaining two to follow next week.
The two on the right are "tech" torso blanks with minimal detailing, just the armour plates. I may make more ornate versions of these at some point.
The main differences are the addition of a proper "belt" which was missing from the previous ones, and some collar armour to better protect the back of the head.
They are also based on a 3D printed master, so the symetry and dimensions are perfect and sculpts are a lot smoother.
I will be re-releasing the Steam Lords later tonight with the new torsos and also Medieval melee arms available as an option for the first time.
@El_Capitan - Im planning a shoulder mounted missile launcher as one of a number of Steam Lord Heavy weapons.
The existing auto-cannon. Its not suitable for use like that, and I actually just withdrew from sale, the mould is worn out and I plan to update it as a 3D printed version.
Not sure when I will get round to it though, as I have many projects on the list!
@EchoJ7 - Yes the scaled down rifles will fit popular 28mm heroic scale plastic infantry kits, if thats what you mean.
@LDD - Thanks!
@Lobukia and Commander Cain - Id like to set up somthing like that, and I plan to, but copyright restrictions means I cant really post photos of anything unless the ENTIRE miniature is Anvil Industry, which limits me somewhat.
Anyone is more than welcome to post images of their work in this public thread!
Number 4, very nice especially if you wanted to do a certain type of Armour....Very nice, and the best bit is the clean lines and armour panels so you add your own GS detailing or symbols.
No Nipples - perfect for adding transfers, brass etching etc, if thats your thing!
@Sicksix - They are on the cards. Im happy with the current legs but I still want to redo them in 3D, to make a few design changes and some re-scaling, it wont be untill next year now though, as there is A LOT of stuff that people seem to want sooner!
The Custom Steam Lord Sets are available again now with all the new options.
Shield your eyes from my shoddy paint jobs and pictures!
I'm sure folks will spot my influences here – Roman Legionnaires. The helmets (in universe) were inspired by Rhino like mega fauna the Dwarves use as beasts of burden. The shield icon represents a great fire Djinn trapped underneath a pyramid the Dwarves worship. Big shields are used to fight Phalanx style – slow but unbreakable.
All my fantasy stuff is going to be middle eastern based (not only Dwarves), hopefully I get to continue expanding this range with Anvil.
I just recently got some conversion parts from anvil, and wanted to report my thoughts on them;
just amazing quality.
very very happy with the sculpts, and they are some of the best casts I think I have ever seen.
Bravo sir, bravo.
Now...can I get spartan/roman shoulder pads with leather straps?
Or how about some left-shield-arms termy size?
(for those of us who have shields but no arms for them to fit on terminator sized models). Or are your current shield arms for termies or "normal' armored guys?
Icesword, thanks for the updates! The painted Dwarfs look excellent! Cant wait to see them in the flesh!
@Davethepak, thanks very much! I really appreciate your taking the time to leave feedback! The shoulder pads with leather straps is a good idea - but its now at the bottom of a very long list of stuff I want to work on! The current shield arms are for "normal" guys.
I've got some larger exo-armoured minis on the drawing board - at least a few places higher up than the pads/straps, which might come in handy!
Its about time i got some new Anvil stuff out-
The updated rennaissance and praetorian torsos are available now to ship in a couple of days time -
And a couple of new guns available for pre order - shipping in about 7 days time, or sooner if I can get the moulds made quicker.
Ion Rifle-
]
Fusion Cannon-
I have a Railgun and an "Flame/Acid Thrower" in the works also, any other "special" weapons people want to see? I know people want a shoulder mounted missile launcher.
I also have some pretty random "Pumking Heads" in the works..
The new torsos look sweet, christmas order here i come!
Regarding the gallery, if due to copy right infringement it is not possible to post customers painting pictures, would it legally ok to put up links?
Any plans of "steam Lords" helmet with lots of rivets?
Wow, the cloaked skull heads are crazy cool. I ordered a set of torsos, legs, etc (everything but arms and guns) a few weeks ago. Kinda glad I havent assembled them yet, as I might need to change plans a bit and get some of those cloaked skulls.
I see that the heads are sold in a variety pack, any chance of ordering multiples of just one kind? I would need 10 of the cloaked skull head.
@Commmander Cain - Double barrelled weapons are on the to-do list.
@Charax - thats a possibilitie but only if I can figure out a good looking way of doing it.
@jehan reznor - possibly links would be ok, but its not a risk worth taking. Customer are very welcome indeed to post their own photographys in this thread or on my facebook page!
@alfhedil - Ive wanted to do a shoulder mounted assault rifle type weapon for a while, and a wrist mounted version is also a possiblity.
@mad4minis - I would have to create a separate sprue - and would probably make a few different ones - hooded skull with bionic eye for example, to add some variety.
I will think about it over the weekend and let you know how I get on.
@Icesword - looking good!! Loving the Pirates even more now!
Nothing too much to get exited about, I suppose, but from small acorns and all that.
Here is a couple of pictures of the "Granite Wasteland" bases I got from Joel a little while ago.
Although Joel states you don't need to undercoat these bases, I do anyway. I don't know why, but they do seem more black afterwards. Then these have just been painted brown, washed and drybrushed, the rockes picked out in greys, and some static grass added. Perfect for TT quality as I am going to be giving them to a mate once I have finished the models to go on them.
Im very sorry, we've been manically busy with everything!
New product time!
Firstly - as requested by Mad4minis and a few others elsewhere, Ive done a sprue of just hooded skulls, available now-
Next up we have somthing I rashly promised on the facebook group - as I had posted a photo of a pumpkin Id carved up for halloween - Im proud to announce what I think is a world first - 28mm scale resin pumpkin heads-
And lastly robed Steam Lord Legs -
Im pretty proud of these - sculpts started by Icesword and completed by me - and yes, matching robed torsos will be out as fast as I can sculpt them!!
I also have a number of new weapons out later this week hopefully.
Great stuff as always! Not a fan of the skull heads in general but that is just due to the shape of them. The pumpkin heads have decided my next Halloween project for me.
Really needed some robed legs, these are just what I needed!
Love the pumpkin heads, just not sure what I'd use them for, outside of a Halloween-themed army (which would not be a terrible idea, if anyone needs an army theme).
I suppose Tzeentch might 'bless' his followers with a pumpkin head mutation?
The pumpkin heads are brilliant. I'm seriously contemplating them for my Chaos army... Chosen maybe?
I love the hooded skull heads.... but... I would love a set of hooded skull helmet heads even more, if that would be viable?
I've really enjoyed watching the quality of your work shoot up from 'good quality home hobbyist/sculptor/caster' to better-than-pro quality over the last couple of years too.
Yep Pumpkin heads are a niche within a niche! My most unusual product yet!
@Ian Sturrock - they are helmeted under there, in my view. If you mean using the actual skull helmets and sculpting hoods over the top, the only difference would be that the hoods would be a lot bulkier, to the point of looking a bit odd.
All very nice for marine players but what about us guard players, I have troops dying on the field of battle here due to lack of weapons although I do like the pumpkin heads
lone dirty dog wrote: All very nice for marine players but what about us guard players, I have troops dying on the field of battle here due to lack of weapons although I do like the pumpkin heads
The small bionic rifle arms are on the modelling desk as a current project.
as soon as they are complete, I will be sculpting fatigigues over the top, and releasing a couple of versions of human scale rifle arms along with...... Human scale weapons!!
Im not going to promise they will be available in time for xmas, but thats certainly the goal im working to.

Very awesome!!! Ill be picking up some hooded skulls and pumpkin heads very soon.
Basically I really want to get on with it, but I want to finnish various parts of the steam lord project first, and also there is a whole lot of general "business development" which will take a lot of my time over the next few months.
I will be releasing a few sets of guardsman scale rifle arms, and the matching scaled down weapons to match, quite soon, really hoping to get them out in time for Xmas.
The main bulk of the project - Lots of different legs, torsos, heads etc to make entire armies, will be put on hold untill I can properly do it justice, as I dont want to release parts of the range peice meal.
I would certainly hope to have the first 2-3 regiments out in time for Salute in April, but not guaranteeing anything.
While you wait, anyone want a Rail Gun??
or if the targets are fleshy and numeous, this High-Cap Drum mag fed Twin Carbine might be more to your tastes...
Yes the railgun is generically sci-fi so could fit in nicely with a few 40K armies, plus probably Infinity, Battletech style games etc!
@Vain - yep its cast with a pistol grip, cut that off and it goes on either left or right pistol grip fist. Its scaled for Steam Lords, so it might work with Termi sized models but you may need to cut the hand down a little bit to get it to look right.
@sockwithaticket - if you want to add a few bits to your order its no problem, just email me the details.
I only saw these models recently, I love them! So much so I ordered a 5 pack of steam lords just half an hour ago! I look forward to painting them! The double tap is ace!
The new guns look great, Joel. Hopefully I can put together a new order early in the new year. Hopefully I can put together some of the last order around then, as well!
@Hulksmash, Its on the to-do list, but If I do the twin weapons soon, Ill mortally offend the people who have been waiting on Regular human scale bionics and rifles for months and months now!!
Currently on the modelling desk/master moulding stage -
Flame thrower/acid cannon
Double barrel shotgun
Chain Axe set
Robed Torsos,
Small bionic rifle arms set.
Next up after that will be the smaller guns and "fatigues" rifle arms.
No worries. I'm obviously not to put out since I put an order for around $90 worth of stuff just the other day. You're guns are just so pretty that I think your twin-weapons will be one of the better ones out there. Not to mention the price will be much nicer than many of the other options
I must note that I cant claim much credit for the shotgun!
The original design and CAD file was actually contributed by a customer, Stuart, and I redesigned and rescaled it to fit Steam Lords and ensure it printed and cast correctly.
