Sorry pet peeve and all but after that dragon I will forgive
Now I quite like the red armour but with the green skinned guy sorry that clashed way to much to work.
I like the turquoise with the red seems to contrast well once the whole mini was painted (no white undercoat showing which seemed to disrupt the flow), although Orange might work but it might blend to much with the red and you get the flame effect.
Will you be adding any design to the tabard/loin cloths ?As this might alter the choice of colour maybe yellow, however it might be to bright therefore a need for a design to break it up a little.
lone dirty dog wrote: Now I quite like the red armour but with the green skinned guy sorry that clashed way to much to work.
This annoys me a bit.
What skin color would you recommend then ?
lone dirty dog wrote: I like the turquoise with the red seems to contrast well once the whole mini was painted (no white undercoat showing which seemed to disrupt the flow)
That's a good point.
I'd like to read what Casey and Inmygravenimage think about it.
lone dirty dog wrote: Orange might work but it might blend to much with the red and you get the flame effect.
For sure orange and red work well together, but would I get enough contrast ?
lone dirty dog wrote: Will you be adding any design to the tabard/loin cloths ?As this might alter the choice of colour maybe yellow, however it might be to bright therefore a need for a design to break it up a little.
I didn't think about it but I could add a free hand, why not.
Hmm building up a new color scheme is not easy. ^^
But well I prefer to spend time on this step before I start the cloning of my warriors.

Come on guys! For the record, my pet peeve is people not reading the words on someone else's blog. It doesn't bother me on my own blogs but it winds me up when it's someone else's for some reason.
Anyway, the green looks a little paler and more sickly now which I prefer. The green and red are a no brainer in my opinion, they look great together. Now you've put paint down on a whole model I think the turquoise looks a lot stronger, it'd be nice to see a washed out or a neon pink instead though just for arguements sake. The main advantage of the pink is that it'll be much more attention grabbing and really have presence on any table. It'll compliment the red but keep it a cold pink for contrast of temperature and to compliment the green.
Tough call Minus. I look at them and my gut says "black". I don't know where or how much... but that's what the gut says. I'm not sure about it TBH. The gut leads me astray from time to time. It might just be that it's too uniform, so varying it my any amount (less drastic as graven proposes) might do the trick.
I guess for me it's not the cloth... it's the actual armor that's bugging me. But I don't have a good solution unfortunately as I can't quite put my finger on the problem.
Turquoise then black for me. For the red, I suspect it falls into too much or too flat - or you just need to add details and possibly chipping/weathering.
Ie - it might look better once you do the details and/or chipping/weathering. Failing that, you could try upping the contrast - deeper shadows, brighter highlights and more shades in between. Failing that, another colour (perhaps black) for the lower (closer to the skin) armour plates.
Though, come to think of it - have you painted the skin of the model's right arm red too - or is that meant to be armour? The red looks better on the upper body, and specifically the model's left side where the skin breaks it up.
Thank you all. Yes every comment helps, wether I agree with it or not. I see that opinions on the clothes vary depending on the people.
For the armour, the problem is that there is too much red. Arakasi and Gits are right about it. It's clear when we compare both arms. I'll add metallic parts and it will look much better. I still don't know wich color I choose for the cloth, but if i stick to turquoise and add metallic parts to the armour it should look like this :
The red is good I think it just needed to be slightly darker like dried blood perhaps? everything else seems to work for me! and the blue on that last shot is perfect choice! that model looks damn cool! :-)
Casey's Law wrote: Come on guys! For the record, my pet peeve is people not reading the words on someone else's blog. It doesn't bother me on my own blogs but it winds me up when it's someone else's for some reason.
Well it was meant as tongue in cheek but it still detracts from the model wether test piece or not, plus if you keep the habit up all time you never forget to do it when not doing test pieces
Turquoise stil works best for me and the red armour is fine IMHO, I like the edition of the darker armour pieces although will this not slow the process when painting (fast you wanted)
I think the main issue to address is skin colour this will balance the whole miniature, I was going to suggest as inmygravenimage mentioned a pale grey tone maybe with a green and purple wash.
I like the color of the cloth, but a purple or green might work too. I'd avoid the beige, orange, yellow end of the color wheel, I think it'll be to much with the red armor.
I'd like to thank everyone that posted here these last days.
I have come to a color scheme that I like, thanks to your help.
I kept the turquoise with a stronger contrast than on the test model. I changed the color skin to a lighter and less green shade. I added metallic areas to the armor.
And I'm still considering the idea of adding a freehand on the cloth.
This is the result on my first model for this new army :
Quick question about your Zombicide stuff, I just got my box of it, and I am going to paint them up, but looking at some of the models, they have a sheen very similar to resin, I was wondering if you found this to be true? And if you had to was the models in soap and water like you would resin, before painting them?
Eldercaveman wrote: Quick question about your Zombicide stuff, I just got my box of it, and I am going to paint them up, but looking at some of the models, they have a sheen very similar to resin, I was wondering if you found this to be true? Hi !
Yes, Zombicide models are made of soft plastic of some sort (it's quite a pain in the ass to remove the damn mold lines ) that is not as matte as GW's plastics for example. I washed them in soap and water, but anyway I do it with every kind of miniatures, not only resin ones so I'm sure I won't have a problem. I sprayed them with GW's undercoats and I had no problem when painting them.
Thanks for all the kind comments, I'm happy you like them. I uploaded a bigger image in my gallery because a friend wanted to see much more details. I post it there if anyone's interested in seeing all the flaws :
Yes, there ARE flaws.
If you can't see them, or you see them but they don't bother you, then I did my job.
I am currently working on transports. I have three old (3rd Ed.) raiders to paint for the tournament, so I have tried to convert them a bit (Gork I suck at converting anything, I'm so much more comfortable with painting ! ) because they looked too similar for me.
Trust me Gits, I feel much more comfortable with a brush in my hand than with an X-acto and glue of some sort. I don't know why, but all the assembly process is not really enjoyable to me. It's a necessary step before the most interesting part : splashing colors everywhere.
But the raiders are built and sprayed. Hopefully I'll have some time this evening or tomorrow to start the painting.
If I've learnt anything about hobbyists it's that we're a mixed bunch! I often find painting tiresome but I will convert and scratchbuild until I'm blue in the face. Some of us would happily forego the miniatures entirely to just play the games with tokens. 'It takes all sorts' as my Gran used to say.
I suck at converting, but I still try to do little modifications on some of my models.
Please welcome my 2 talos, still in WIP. Both were in the same posture, so I modified the one on the left to have him stand up.
Ragarding the painting, the red and the skin are almost finished.
I'm wondering if and where the blue will be added to them
Well... to be honest, I have no idea if I'll add some blue, because I don't know where I should paint it. Of course there will be scaly green to do light effects on wires, gems and so on. But the blue... don't know.
Stunning work, mate! I don't think they need the blue carried over. The greenish details tie them in and the lack of blue helps them to stand out from the rest.
Okay, thanks for your feedback Casey. I'll keep them so, then. I am just doing two tails for them 'cause the shooting weapons are missing, and it should be a problem regarding wysiwyg, so... ^_^
And I have started painting the grotesques (is that the english name too ) and also a handfull of warriors.
Wow, they are simply stunning Minus! I don't know where to begin to say what I like about them? .... everything springs to mind, great conversion, great paint job, great colour choices, just great!
Eldercaveman wrote:These look amazing. Genuinely the first time I've liked the look of dark eldar models. And yes that is the English word as well
Really ? I love the way Dark Eldars look, since they were created in the late 90's.
Anyway, I'm happy if you like mine. ^^

It's a pleasure to read your comment.
I'm back from hollidays so the painting process has started again. Expect pictures soon.
I am still working on my grotesques (I promise pictures very soon). But I have 2 news. Well, 3 in fact : 1) Last sunday I attented a 2 Vs 2 tournament with a very good friend. He played Iron Warriors and I played Orks. We had a great day, people made kind comments on our armies. And we confirmed that we are definitely better at painting than at playing... We ended 22nd on 24 !
2) I entered Gothicomp for the 3rd time. Gothicomp is an online BFG (and spaceships games) painting contest. And my escorts won the final in their category ! I'm really happy.
This model is fantastic. I'm really eagger to start it's painting though I have really no idea at all concerning the paint scheme...
I had to wait a few days so the weather would allow me to spray Alicia, then I painted a - 3rd edition, I know some of you will hate them ^^ - Cabalite warriors squad.
I used mainly speed painting techniques, this squad was made really quickly. And compared to the time I spent on them, I'm pretty satisfied with the result I got.
Lol. Nice whale Hey minus gorgeous work as usual. Ive two questions for you:
1.) for the purple blades, are you painting up straight metallics then adding layers of purple glaze after the metallic is highlighted and shaded? Or is it a different approach?
2.) How are you photoing your minis? Ive been trying to figure out how to take group shots like that where all the minis are crystal clear in a row like that and my iphone wont do it. Im sure you use a nice camera?
cheers
bebop
I knew some (most ?) would hate them. Haha. I like them anyway.
@ bebopdrums2424 :
1) I paint the blades with a boltgun metal basecoat first. Then I add layers of various washes. For the talos blades I used Asurmen blue and leviathan purple. For the grotesques, Asurmen blue then Druchii violet. The trick is to apply several layers and to "push" the pigments in the good areas. The washes are at the same time the shade and the glaze. ^_^
Last step is to highlight the edges with silver (mithril silver for example), and to paint the streaks on the cutting edges.
2) No secret here : I use a Reflex camera and a tripod.
I remember hating those models soo much and then about a year ago Mechanicum Jon painted one and I fell in love with them. I'm so glad you painted some up yourself becuase they benefit so much from modern painting techniques and masters like you guys. They look awesome in my book, I'd actually quite like to see you revisit them at some point and give each a little special TLC. Now I really must remember to grab some next time I'm on ebay.
Gorgeous work minus. As usual. The blue steel armor is REALLY striking. The base, im not quite sold on. Comes across a little distracting for me, perhaps that its so close in tone to the rest of the mini, but the actual figure is beautiful. Strong contestant for nerds comp!! Good luck
BB
@ Bebopdrums :
I sometimes have comments on my bases. The fact is that I paint my minis for gaming so my bases are painted to match with my table, whatever the colors of the model itself are. ^_^
But you're right that it is possible to find a color that would fit better with Alicia's color scheme. Definitely true.
@ Gits :
I can send you her phone number. ^_^
But be careful, she has a strong temper. And a big mace.
Thank you Gits. I'm really happy with these turquoise stripes, I wondered how it would look and I like it.
@ Whalemusic : because I have tons of old models, and none of the new ones ? And also because... I think they look good. ^^
If you want more recent finely sculpted model, there's Alicia a few posts above.
Oh I forgot that you was one of the judges on this comp' ! >____< I'd do the same as you and not comment too much the entries before the end of Nerdaward.
Good luck for the judging

If only there was a large vat of guiness i could jump into. Id imagine its creamy froth is good for the skin too
Great looking DE minus. Coral and Turq scheme is really striking
And the scheme is really striking, as well as the weathering... As WM360 (?) mentioned, you're doing more than doing those old models justice : they're far better than they ever were intended to be !!

I agree with that, the color scheme does it all. Took me a lot of time and several trials to get decided on it, but it was worth it 'cause I like my scheme a lot.
Next unit to be painted : 10 more cabalites. Then I have more dark eldars to paint (I plan on a 2000 points army list), plus marines, orks, sceneries, individual models, Zombicide 2nd season, dark elves, a bit of Eden too. And I am getting involved in a big project with some painter buddies, I'll tell you more about it as soon as possible since it's something that is really important for us.
Love the color scheme on these minus! one of my favorite color combinations Great battle damage on the skimmer...is te upside down L on the putrid tank an icon of some sort? it looks sort of out of place simple because i dont know what it is yet!
Nope it's not an icon. The vertical part of the L is a fake light reflection on the tank that I painted using white paint. The horizontal bar is a real reflection due to the gloss varnish. As you can see, the color matches perfectly.
The army symbol is a Key, but I am not decided on its final design yet. I'll probably add it later, at least on the skimmers.

PS : I love your avatar Yggdrasil !
Thanks ! This one deserves more love than the previous one... I'm glad you like it !
Second squad of cabalite warriors is painted !
Still needs matte varnish but well... today it was raining really heavy so it will have to wait a little bit.
I am waiting to start the project wich I can't tell for the moment. So I try to paint single models in order to be available as soon as it starts.
Today's work is a dwarf that I am painting for Mordheim. I had no concrete idea on how to paint this dude, so I took my brush, my paints and began in total freestyle.
Here's some WIP :
It's still not finished, but I already like him. It makes me laugh to imagine that proud and noble old adventurer, wandering Mordheim's streets in his bright lackered armour, trying not to stain it with mud or worse.
No Gits, he's not black. I just started the mini with painting his hair and beard ? Why ? Well... dunno...
Hopefully I succeeded in painting the skin without messing the whole thing up.
I painted him a little bit more. The purple things have details on them, but they are not really sharp so it is hard to see what you have to paint or not. Still looks good so we'll say it's allright the way it is. Still in WIP, next step is painting the metals.
Within a few days, I should start working on a brand new project, called "Project 111".
It was instigated by a friend of mine and I'm really happy to be part of it. The idea is to gather, build up and paint a whole WHFB army. We are several painters who've met through a french forum, at the moment we are 9. Some of us are professionnal painters (they do commissions), some are not (well, like me ^^ ).
So why this project ? Why 9 painters on a single army ? In fact, almost the whole army consists in gifts from forum users and blog readers. We are all 9 going to paint some units for free. And in the end the army will be sold as a whole, and all benefits will be given to an association that takes care of children with serious disease.

Great work pal, looking forward to the new project sounds awesome. And for a really great cause.
Firstly, that is one masterfully painted little dwarf! I'm loving that patterning on the purple/pink robes.
Your new project sounds excellent and it's lovely that it's for a good cause. Can't wait to see your progress! If you think the other 8 guys are good then this'll be a mindblowing army.
Casey's Law wrote: Firstly, that is one masterfully painted little dwarf! I'm loving that patterning on the purple/pink robes.
That was the most annoying part to paint, because those patterns are not really sharp so it was hard to see exactly what it was supposed to look like. I'm almost certain that on some areas I didn't follow them. But I like the result, and so do you then I'm happy with it.
Thank you all for your interest for project 111. I really hope we will be able to make up a nice army.
It was not my idea but I think it's wonderful to have an occasion to use my passion to help people, and especially children.
Casey's Law wrote: Your new project sounds excellent and it's lovely that it's for a good cause. Can't wait to see your progress! If you think the other 8 guys are good then this'll be a mindblowing army.
I didn't choose the other painters. It is Ultracius who chose who would be in. But all of 8 are good painters. And to be honest... some (most ?) are better painters than I am. It's a pleasure for me to work with them.
Might a preview of what they can do interest you ?
Gitsplitta wrote:That's a pretty impressive line up of painters Minus. I think you fit right in.
Casey's Law wrote:Agreed Minus. I think you've found yourself some equals in that group!
Thanks dudes ! Honestly, some of them are really really better than me. At least 2.
But I think together we should do a good work. Well, not really "together" since we don't all know each other for real, but you know, internet.
Eldercaveman wrote:Wow this is going to be good! Any clues for what army you are going to be doing?
Yup ! Army is already decided. We already have received most of the miniatures that people gifted to the project (thank you to them all). We are at the stage that some color scheme tests are being made. And I'm currently waiting for my package to be sent to me.
So you can try to guess what army that will be. Don't forget it will be a WHB project. Who will guess what army we chose ?
I'd love it to be Wood Elves or Beastmen because I'm rather fond of them. That said, I'd guess Empire. I can imagine it'd be beautiful to see a huge Empire army with troops painted as if they are from different towns or something. Or even painted up as a medical regiment to mirror the cause.
Thanks Miss Dee. I have 3 more Dwarves to paint and I think my Mordheim team will be complete.
No one has found the right army at the moment. I don't know exactly if there will be a lot of conversions, but there will be some I think. It won't be a conversion-heavy army though, because we have a limited time to organize, build and paint the army. The aim is to sell it in 2014, not in 2025.
I don't want to stick my oar in(is that a translatable phrase?), but if you'd like, I'd be happy to donate a conversion. If you want I could send it directly to you and if it's not up to scratch in terms of quality you can just ignore it, I won't be offended at all. If you'd be up for that just pm me and we can talk about which army and model.
Eldercaveman wrote:Dark Elves or Vampire Counts then I think.
And you think right ! Now guess witch one.
Casey's Law wrote:I don't want to stick my oar in(is that a translatable phrase?).
If I translate word by word, it doesn't mean anything AT ALL in french. But I understand the idea, and google confirmed that I understood it correctly.
Casey's Law wrote:I I'd be happy to donate a conversion.
I'd be happy if you do so.
I can't promise it will be added to the army (I don't decide this and it will depend on how good it looks) but I'd be happy to paint it. I'll PM you.
Casey's Law wrote:I hope that makes sense, I'm a little drunk.
And I hope that you're not drunk when doing conversions !
Indeed, we are gonna paint a Vampire Counts army. I don't remember all the details, but there should be a wide variety of units, from zombies to monsters.
I think I'll get my models next week, I'm eagger to start. ^^
Drunk conversions are the most fun!
I don't doubt it would be (and look) fun. But I have to SELL it in the end.
As discussed by PM, I'm curious to see what you will do. ^_^
I received my models for Project 111 this week. I got some old school miniatures. Since I love old OOP models, I'm really happy.
I have to finish the models I'm working on before I skip to project 111.
Ah the old warhammer quest dwarf! I think...right?? THose purples are so lovely. He looks perfectly regal. Nice beards too I think the verdigris is too strong on the coins and has muddied up detail making for a less weathered look and comes across more sloppy. (which i know is not your intention) Maybe its the pic, im sure it looks great in person but i think its too aggressive of a weathering effect for such a small bit. Much better looking on the shield.
Great work though as usual minus!
Cheers
BB
bebopdrums2424 wrote:Ah the old warhammer quest dwarf! I think...right??
Right ! I bought like ten years ago a box with I think 8 adventurers in it, all plastic ones. I thought it would be perfect for Mordheim, and it is. I already painted a troll slayer, a dark elf assassin, a halfling, a human sorcerer and soon this dwarf that'll be finished, from this box. The other one is the Lord from Skull Pass.
bebopdrums2424 wrote:I think the verdigris is too strong on the coins and has muddied up detail making for a less weathered look and comes across more sloppy. The metals are not finished on this photo, I have to highlight them. This should make them look better and less blurry. I let you tell me if it still bothers you when I post the final pix, ok ?
Gitsplitta wrote:Looking great Minus. Love the one on the right especially.
Thank you Gits. I have to paint all the golds, but I'm satisfied with the way he turns out.
I'd also like to tell you about another project that I'm concerned about. I am moderator on the biggest french miniature games dedicated forum, and this year we had a big modelling project.
Several good painters from that forum offered to paint (for free) a unit or a vehicle for a Grey Knights army. This army will be sold within a few weeks and the money we get from the sale will be used to organize projects, such as modelling activities on the forum (we are building crazy towers using 40k Imperial bunkers), a gaming convention (second edition is planned next spring) and so on.
I thought this could interest some people here, first of all to see the result, and maybe someone here be interested in buying the army. Because the painters did a fantastic work, even more if we consider that they didn't meet and worked together only through a few dedicated topics on the forum. I let you judge by yourself...
Nota : I did NOT paint these miniatures Nota 2 : this project is NOT related with project 111, apart from the fact that there are common people involved. Project 111 is dedicated to a carritative association.
This army is incredible. I had the chance to hold it in my hands (well, not the entire army at the same time ^^ ) and it looks really good.
I was tempted to hide it in my pockets. But my pockets were too small.
I finished painting two more dwarves for Mordheim :
And this is the whole mob, ready to hunt treasures in the ruins of the city of the damned.
bebopdrums2424 wrote:awesome work minus. wow. thats an awesome looking group shot. you were right about the verdigris, it looks great on the completed miniature. BB

jah-joshua wrote:very cool Dwarves... it's always nice to see Warbands, and the variety of minis they have... much cooler than a regiment of the same rank and file...
My first band was made of models from a WHB plastic regiment. When I decided to build up a new warband, I picked various models that I likes. I imagine them as individuals, that gathered in the ruins of Mordheim in order to hunt treasures (and wreck faces, too ^^ ). So it's not a problem that they all are different, and it looks better in the end.
BTW, I had never seen your gallery so far, and wow, you're a pretty good painter.
thanks, Minus...

Wow stunning paint jobs! The raider with the pooper tank scares me though. It sparks so many questions, why is it above the riders? Further yet why are they tempting fate by aiming a giant scythe at it? I love models that make your imagination run wild!
Keep up the awesome work, and thanks for your answer to beebop on your metallic technique! I would love for you to do a step by step tutorial someday

Well not so fast. In fact I started painting these dwarves in 2008.
It's the models that made me really start to paint "seriously" and enjoy it.

That's why I love painting. I always learn new technics, new tricks, or faster ways to paint.
Thanks again for your comments.

They love to live dangerously ! I have another raider to convert with such a "pooper tank". I'd like to add it in horizontal position, I still have to think about how to do that.
Red Corsair wrote:Keep up the awesome work, and thanks for your answer to beebop on your metallic technique! I would love for you to do a step by step tutorial someday
I'll try to remember to do one when painting next vehicle. It's not really complicated to do.
Numerous ?
Well yes. But one of the troll slayers is a mercenary. The Halfling allows me to get one more warrior in the band, and so does the cooking book.
So I have painted enough dwarves to cover all possibilities if we run a campaign.
Oh, by the way... here's one more !
That's all for the dwarves right now.
I'll switch to other projects. I have Project 111 models on my desk. And more dark eldars.
I also played my first Eden tournament last sunday and it was so much fun. I had never played that game before so I lost every game, ending last. But I really enjoyed it, the game is very tactical and interesting, you should have a try at it !
Plus I won the best painted band award so I'm really really happy. I plan to paint new models for the next tournament ! These are the models that I played :

once i start playing with NMM, those Samurai robots are going straight in the painting queue...
I remember you painted these a while back. I think these are some of your best work for sure. The colors are just fantastic. The purples are regal and the greens are sickly. Still love these!

Thanks. I like to paint TMP, I find it interesting to try to get different shades, textures and shine. On these models there are only "steel" metalics, no gold or bronze but their aspect differs. It's one of the specific points I tried to improve on this starter.

when they came out with the Eden minis a few years ago, i fell in love with the ISC...
To be honest, not all their models are equal in terms of sculpt. Some are far better than others, and some - mostly older ones - don't look so good. But overall, their range is fantastic. We decided to start playing Eden with a friend because we went to a convention where all the studio models where exposed and it looked damn good ! I like the ISC too, I plan to paint some in the future. Anyway I'd be interested to see you paint those models.
bebopdrums2424 wrote:I remember you painted these a while back. I think these are some of your best work for sure. The colors are just fantastic. The purples are regal and the greens are sickly. Still love these!
Thanks Bebop !
I have to say that I really like them too. And they were really pleasant models to paint. I'm eagger to paint the next ones !
Moltar wrote:You're busting stuff out left and right and it's all at a great level of skill! Solid effort, Minus!
Thank you Moltar.
Gitsplitta wrote:Well of course you did... it IS the best painted warband! Congratulations Minus!
Indeed. It is !
Seriously, the game format is quite small. A band is 3 to 8 models, more generally 4 or 5 (and this is the real game size, not a lighter version of the game). So people have the time to put some efforts in their painting, and there are really nice painted Eden factions.
If you have time for this, I'd like to see other painters here paint some Eden, this should lead to wonderful results.
Yggdrasil wrote: No wonder you won "Best Painted"... They are pretty awesome !! Good job
Thank you Yggdrasil !
It was a small tournament, but I was really happy when the TO said that I was the winner of this prize.
I hope that everyone had a nice Christmas eve, spent a good time with family or friends (and maybe got nice gifts ^^ ).
If someone here wants to make a cool present to himself, the Grey Knights army is for sale on ebay. And even if you don't really want to buy, you can go to the product description and have a look to the blogs of the painters, there are really nice things to be seen there !
We all have to paint the same Cadian guardsman, with no conversion allowed. It's all about the painting ! I saw a lot of the entrants post camo color scheme so I went the opposite way. I'm quite happy with the result.
Didn't decide if I'll add weathering on the armour plates though.I'll update this if I do.
Hehe, that's wonderful. I'd skip the weathering; it's the bright, unusual colours that make your model so unique, and weathering would weaken that aspect of the mini.
whalemusic360 wrote:I'd actually play an army of that.
It would be eye-catching on the gaming table !
You can copy the color scheme if you want.
Gitsplitta wrote:You are insane...
I know that...

Thanks.
Mastiff wrote:Hehe, that's wonderful. I'd skip the weathering; it's the bright, unusual colours that make your model so unique, and weathering would weaken that aspect of the mini.
My friends say so. They think the bright color scheme is what makes it so unique, and they wouldn't add battle damages and weathering.
However :
Yggdrasil wrote:As for weathering, I'd add a few "notches", just so the judges know that you can do it
I agree with that. I CAN paint weathering and it could be a good point to show it. Well. I don't know. Now that I have moved to other models, I'll most probably not touch him again.
I started painting for project 111, expect WIPs soon.
I won't, becaause I don't play IG. But it would look good I think. I'd be honored if someone did this. ^^
First WIP for project 111.
For those that don't remember (or are new here), project 111 consists in 9 guys painting an army for free and selling it on ebay. All benefits will be given to an association that takes care of children with heavy diseases.
We decided to go with a Vampire counts army. The main color is red, with little touches of turquoise.
And the first model I started working on is a necromancer. Hope you'll enjoy the WIP.
Thanks !
Ok, so for the reds, I paint the whole model on a preshaded base (spray black, let dry, spray white from the top).
Both reds where based with Army Painter Pure Red (=blood red). Then I washed them with Carroburg Crimson.
I darkened the recesses of the lower cloth with Army Painter strong tone (=Devlan Mud). Then I highlighted with red gore, then vermin brown and maybe the same plus bleached bones (not sure about that ^^ ).
On the upper cloth, shades are made with blue wash (Asurmen blue) and all highlights with several layers of thinned down Pure Red.
I didn't had much time to paint these days, but I kept going on a bit today, so here's a new WIP.
I try to keep working on texture, such as on leathers or on the book's cover.
It's color theory, yup. The idea is that to darken a color, you don't use black, nor a darker shade of the base color. Instead you use the complementary color like green to shade reds. And more generally, you can use other colors to build up the shadows. In this case, I use blue as a wash on the red.
The interest is that it results in more natural shadings. And it's also fun to do ( <- most important point this last one).
But to be honest, I don't use this technique really often. And it's quite a new thing to me. I started doing this when I painted my Zombicide survivors.
It's Alghul, a fighter for the Askari faction, in Eden. Eden is a skirmish game, wich I really like. And though some of the older models are not great, newer ones are really good and some are fantastic.
BTW I finished Alghul this evening. Only have to add a coat of matt varnish and selective gloss, but due to the weather I'll do that... later this year. ^^
Can't you spell because : - you're american - you're an ork - your brain was replace by some random mechanical device - a combination of the above
?
Thank you Gits. I'm happy with the way they look together. They look like a coherent group I think, although none of them is painted with the same colors.
Now I'll be back to Project 111 for the next model.
(oh man, I didn't paint anything for 2 weeks... >_< )
Thanks mates. I really appreciate to come here and see that you guys enjoy what I do !
No new painted model here, but some news :
1) on another board I was asked to post a bigger photo of one of the last dark eldar models that I painted, in order to see the details better.
So here's the shot :
2) I made a demo for the Game Eden in my local club. People there enjoyed the game we had, so a few group of Eden players is rising. I'm really happy, since I had no opponent for that game.
If you have a chance, give it a try, it's a really good game. And it doesn't cost much to play, 3 to 6 models are the normal game format.
So I built my new models, and plan to paint them soon in order to have more gaming combination.
3) I made a new background for my photos, and wanted to test it. So I made a new shot of Nicolescu, from the game Kolaps. What do you think ? Does it look good ?
(plus I met the game creator/designer/sculptor again on a convention today, he's definitelly a really nice guy)
Yep, the Askaris have 2 new sculpts this month ! I'll have to get them when I finish the models that are currently on my desk.
I have a game next week, so I'm painting Ghazi (the guy on his giant scorpio) in order to play a band with models I never played before (Ghazi + Almeh + Alghul).
Eden is a game that I really enjoy at the moment. The game is really dynamic, games are fast and brutal. And it's really enjoyable to have the possibility to bring all that's necessary for 2 players in a single backpack.
Concerning the factions, all are quite balanced. Of course there are better bands compositions than others, but overall the game is balanced.
Each faction also has a specific way to be played, due to their special rules and warriors competences.
What kind of gameplay do you like ? Shooting ? Hitting your opponents face with a cybernectic fist ? Making everything burn ?
Of course, I really like the Askaris. If you want 2 bands for you, I'd recommend to take one with few warriors, and one with larger effectives. That way, you'll have different gameplays, wich should be more interesting.
ISC is a very good low number faction, with models that can't be hurt (their characteristics remain the same until they die) and whose armour protect from ennemies attacks.
Askari is also a low number faction, but they have no armors. Their strength relies in their special capacities, and on their mutations that you can choose for each of your warriors... at the beginning of the game (so when you already know your mission and opponent... oh I love it ! ).
For larger bands, I quite like the jokers gameplay (well in fact I hate them 'cause i don't play them, I play AGAINST them ^^ ). They are a pain to face because they have a lot of fire attacks. I also like the Matriarcat, with their deadly sisters that use slaves as a fodder.
Honnestly, I'd recommend to choose the factions based on the visual aspect. Do you have bands that rely appeal to you ?
If you have questions, you can ask me here (or by MP) it will be a pleasure to help you choose.
Awesome! now I want some :-) the models are really really cool! metal? you've done a great job on the spider thing, the colour choice and blending from dark to light works really well especially with the green Djinn on top :-)
Yup ! Metal models.
When I first saw the pictures of this miniature, I thought "oh man, building it will be a pain". But in fact not, the cutting of the scorpio (not spider ) is really clever, and it's easy as hell to assemble.
I love that range. It would be fantastic to see some of you here (Bebop, Gits, Nerdy, Weety, etc...) paint Eden models. I'd love it !
awesome work Minus!! Your guy is sent Im sorry it took a little bit but i had to package him seperately and i was on tour. Didnt want to rush it! Let me know when your stuff arrives!
BB
Be hard to find a model in the range cooler than that last one.
Automatically Appended Next Post:
I checked out there web site. Found some fantastic models I'd love to play with. Problem is the cost (once you add in the exchange rate and shipping from Europe to the US) when you figure they're figures for a game I'll never get a chance to play.
nerdfest09 wrote:Well, i may go check some out and see what's what :-) they really are nice and even in metal they seem as if they'd be quite light?
Yes, it's metal but it's not too heavy, and it's a quite tender material. It's much more easier to remove the mold lines on these than on GW models.
Another solution is to buy their Boardgame named "Escape", in this box you'll get ISC and Resistance models that are made of plastic. Maybe a bit expensive if you only want a model or two for painting purpose. ^^

Can't wait, hope the plane/spaceship/boat/... will get here fast !
Of course I'll tell you when I get the package.
Gitsplitta wrote:Be hard to find a model in the range cooler than that last one.
^^
There are all kind of models in their range, that's one of the points I like. Do you like Big killa robot ? Check.
A fat man with a flammer ? Check.
A mutant ? Check.
An alien ? Check.
...
A monkey ? A bear ?.... A lion ? Check.
Want more ?
A dressed up hyena ? Check.
Master Yoda maybe ? Well... Check.
There must be at least one model you'll like in there.
I checked out there web site. Found some fantastic models I'd love to play with. Problem is the cost (once you add in the exchange rate and shipping from Europe to the US) when you figure they're figures for a game I'll never get a chance to play.
If you can combine you order with someone else, I think they offer shipping cost when the order reaches a certain value.
Anyway, I don't force you to buy any of their models. I just say I'd love to see you paint some.
(what are the models you like, by the way ?)
Of course you aren't forcing me Minus... didn't mean to come off like that. I just thought your suggestion had merit so I want and checked them out. Just had to swallow hard when I projected out the expense. It doesn't help that what I picked out was a boxed set, rather than just a single figure. I'll be honest Minus... their figures are a lot more interesting with YOUR paint job rather than those rather more mundane paint jobs that are on the web site. Your interpretation is much more exotic and interesting.
My problem is that I don't just like a single figure... that would be too easy. I like the boxed sets or groups that are supposed to go together. Of course the advantage to getting the boxed sets is that you get the rules as well.
For example:
Hord - Beast Master boxed set or beast master + chitinous hounds (3)
Nephilims - Starter Box
Escape - I really like the three robots, but they seem to be for another game (even though they're listed in the Eden section). Not sure.
ISC - black shinobi, Carmen Onryo, Carmen Samurai looks nice, but is almost too "normal" if you get my drift.
Hmmm... given the above list... perhaps I could try the ISC... it's the only one where my model choice doesn't involve a boxed set. That being said, I discovered I was adding the monetary difference on top of the listed US prices (which meant I was adding it twice). So cost isn't as bad as I'd thought originally.
RileyJessup wrote:Les modeles son tres jolie! Less plus bon ultramarines que jai vu end long temps
Merci beaucoup.
Gitsplitta wrote:Just had to swallow hard when I projected out the expense.
Well... it can't be worse than GW prices ? (just kidding)
Gitsplitta wrote: I'll be honest Minus... their figures are a lot more interesting with YOUR paint job rather than those rather more mundane paint jobs that are on the web site. Your interpretation is much more exotic and interesting.
Oh man. Thank you. That's a nice compliment. Wow. I appreciate that.
(maybe you could send them an email, so they'll hire me and pay me millions for painting models )

Yes, in the box set you have the rules. Note that rules and all material such as cards and so on are available on their website for free. So you can get them even if you don't buy a starter.
Gitsplitta wrote: For example:

It looks like you like the ISC. It's a really good faction, fun to play with or against.
All three robots from the escape box are also playable in Eden. The only problem - if I can say so - is that with these robots you don't have 100 points, only 85. I have the Escape box, and a friend at the gaming club had an initiation game with these ISC models. He loved that and bought the starter the next day.
The Nephilim Starter looks ggod too. It's not my favorite army because high tech aliens in a post apocaliptic game are not what comes to my mind first, but the models are nice. Their gameplay invlves lots of rerolls, it's a faction for players that don't have much luck when throwing dice.
Camkierhi wrote:Such beautiful work here, going to have to go back through whole thing.
Hope you enjoyed wandering in my topic/gallery. ^^
Gitsplitta wrote:Looks beautiful Minus, that company needs to hire you to re-imagine the Askaris.

inmygravenimage wrote:Your purple looks just too real. Fab. Also, I'm stealing the turquoise lenses (for orks, as it happens!)
I'm pretty happy with the purple on the Arkabut. And go ahead for the turquoise lenses. I use the good old Scaly Green from the previous GW range, this color is fantastic.
Ok, and yesterday we had a few games at the club so I took a lot of photos... and some of them are not too blurry. My opponent plays Nephilim. His band looks good, I love the pink skin, it works well with the yellow in my opinion.
Almeh has a little discussion with Bo'Dagun in the first game (and gets killed, btw ^^ ).
This image is the deployement of the third game. The mutant in the middle is my objective, I have to bring it back to our laboratory. My ennemies play a "survival" mission, he gains victory points each turn for the models he has in a given radius in the middle of the board. I deploy Almeh and Alghul together.
Ghazi, my Janissar (= the boss ^^ ) deploys on my right side between a wall and a ruin.
Yu'Silaa infiltrates in my territory. She should read the warning on the wall...
She comes on my left side in order to shoot at Almeh.
However, Almeh is fast and agile and Yu'Silaa misses her shots. Almeh engages her and cuts the alien right in two.
The Nephilims charge my mutants. Note that Almeh gets in position to be able to counter attack next time (Almeh has a special rule that give her rerolls against wounded models, so she's perfect for "finishing" ennemies )
Thank you Gits. It was a good evening, we had fun.
I'm back with the wolves I painted for project 111. The photo is not so good because I wasn't home when I finished them, so I didn't have a good light.
These models were a pain to paint. I didn't enjoy it at all. I tried to do a good paintjob, because I like and support Project 111 (wich is for children who suffer of heavy diseases). But it wasn't fun. At all.
Though, painting the 2 characters (the Vampire and the Necromancer) was a great experience, so it balances it.
Stop chating Minus, let us see the pix...
Ok... ok...
Remember Bebop's Formula paint contest ?
Remember my pink Cadian ?
I received a package this week, coming from USA. Opened it, and oh ! Ah ! Eh !
My prize !
I finally got Bebop's Sergeant.
Bebop : THANK. YOU.
It looks damn good, I love it. I promised I'd take photos of our 2 models. So did I.
As you'll see, the color scheme doesn't match exactly. But it doesn't matter, I love Bebop's interpretation of my own (crazy) scheme.
Yggdrasil wrote:Well, I didn't like them, but I voted anyway...

Last Sunday, friends and I organized a Miniature games Convention near Paris. I exposed some of my models, and Bebop's guardsman was part of the display.
And today, I finished a new Eden model, the first Lahrima model. I went on a bright and rich green, kinda radioactive. I like it. Next Lahrima might be even more brighter.
I keep poking around for more information about this game. The models are wicked, and you paint them with serious skills. I might have to hunt up a rulebook or something to find some fluff about all of it.
Can't help but be a sucker for post apocalyptic stuff.
I dig the varying degrees of green. Purple and green is a ballsy color combo, and you make it work very well.
Camkierhi wrote: Great work, yup liking the skin. And you have definately captured the age bit, he looks way older than his young paddythingy.

Chemical Cutthroat wrote: I keep poking around for more information about this game. The models are wicked, and you paint them with serious skills. I might have to hunt up a rulebook or something to find some fluff about all of it.
Hi !
Yeah the models are full of character. And post apocalyptic universe tend to attract me.
I really like that game. I love the models, I love the wide variety of factions, their different visual styles, their gameplay. You can download the rulebook for free on the official website : http://eden-the-game.com/ You just have to register (on the top right) and then you'll have access to the downloads in the "member zone" (on the left). The game is fast and dynamic.
There is no background in the pdf version of the rulebook, but to sum it up in a few words there was a climatic change that leads to lack of food and so on. International tensions increased 'til a global war started. Nobody remembers who shot first, but it triggered a chain reaction and tons of atomic bombs and other massive destruction weapons that almost wiped the human race from the earth.
Classical background, but efficient. The most interesting part is the background of each faction. Who are the Askaris ? Where do the ISC robots come from ? Why does the resistance have acces to advanced technical devices ?
Chemical Cutthroat wrote: you paint them with serious skills.

It's really nice to read such comments.
My ISC faction for Eden the Game.
Those models are from the boardgame Escape, wich is related to the Eden universe. I painted them mostly to lend them for Eden initiation games in my local club.
I painted them 4 in 3 sessions. That's quite simple painting, I wanted to have them finished quickly.
Thank you guys.
These days, I didn't have much time to paint. I have several models in WIP, but nothing is complete at this stage. On the other hand, I have had the opportunity to play several Eden games lately.
Last friday we played a three players game at the club, and since I had my camera I took some photos. I thought it might be good to share them with you.
Gitsplitta you should have a look, there are ISC fighters in action !
The forces in presence were :
- Sam's Bamakas
- my ISC, that I lent to a guy at the club
- my Askaris, that I was playing
In a multiplayer game, you roll a table for the mission objectives. There are several objectives, that apply to all the players. In our game, they were the following :
- there were 4 communication beacons to activate, placed on the board diagonals
- there was a bonus for killing opponents leaders
We had never played a multiplyer game, but it works really well. Game was fast, fun, and bloody.
The ISC patrol is controlling the area. The drone have been informed that mutants could be present in this city sector.
Indeed, they are. Three warriors from the Bamaka tribe are roaming between the ruins.
A little bit further, desert fighters have the Blue Rikishi (and his big belly ^^ ) in sight.
The grafiti on the wall says "Mutant inside"... there are indeed mutants in there !
While the askari warrior charges the Bamaka shaman, and explodes his head against the tarmac...
An assassin infiltrates behind my Janissar, and trys to eleminate her. Almeh turns around to rescue her leader.
She hits so hard that she kills the infiltrator outright.
But another threat approaches. The ISC drones have come really close, they are standing just behind the ruin wall.
The robots are ready for combat, they aim at repressing any form of resistance.
Black Ubume teleports through the ruin and activates the fourth beacon. Almeh gets to her and does what she does best : she beats her to death. ^^
Yep, that's what they are for. It's a really good game, in my opinion. I like it a lot.
End of the report :
After they both killed their opponents, Almeh and the Warrior attack Abama. The scaly Bamaka is powerless and can't resist such a fury.
From this point, the only survivor on the board from the Bamaka Clan is the Giant Tarar, who is walking across the board and activates the beacons.
His huge silhouette hangs over the car wrecks :
On the opposite side of the map, the drones leader blocks Almeh's path.
He attacks her, but she's faster than him and proves him that he shouldn't have bothered her. The robot gets his head cut off and his body falls to the ground in a sparks rain.
I win the game because I succeeded in killing two faction leaders.
However, the other two players also gained some points thanks to the communication beacons they activated, even the Bamaka player who has only one fighter left ends the game with 75 points. In Eden, killing everyone doesn't guaranty that you'll win the game.
Just spent the last hour going through this thread and the models on here have blown me away, you've got some serious skill with a brush and you've got a great eye for colour.
Haha, nope. ^^
The movie was not released yet, was it ?

Wow thank you. I'm really happy that you enjoyed browsing through my topic.
pfibp wrote: Nice report and very beautiful Eden minis.

I finished painting Tarik today, so I have - until the upcoming releases - painted all the Askari models I have.
I'll take individuals photos of Tarik later, for the moment I'll post a group shot of the whole band :
The blue really makes him stand out from the rest of the warband, that's nice !
And no, never played that game... But I live far from any "civilized" city ATM, so Eden games are far from my reach ! Maybe when I move to Paris... But, are the models in metal ?
@ Yggdrasil : yes, the models are metal, appart from some of the very first models on new releases that are produced in resin.
I don't know if this happens regularly, I only have 2 resin models that a friend bought for me at Salute (the big Convention in UK). So overall you can consider that the models are made of metal.
Well, I've stayed clear of metal for years now, and... Having TRIED (like, REALLY) to get myself into Infinity or to paint some OOPGW models but failed, I have to admit I should probably not try metal again... ever.
@ Yggdrasil :
I understand that, I prefer plastic models too. However, on Skirmish games it doesn't bother me too much to habe metal models, since it's easier to transport and take care of 3 to 5 models instead of a whole 40k army for instance. Magnet and metal boxes are my friends.
Oh, the metal is softer than GW's one, so it's really easier to assemble/pin/prepare. A solution for you would be to get Escape models. Those are plastic.
@ pfibp :
Thank you. I struggled with his skin so I'm happy if you like the result.
Since I painted every Askari model I have so far, I'll switch to other projects.
I have a BIG demon to paint wich is a present from my brother, and also Communist Goblins for another skirmish game called Furie.
I've just read every post from your first post and I have to say I like what I see. Love your Ultramarines even though I'm not a big fan of the Chapter.
Everything you paint is just excellent But my favourite has to be the Dakkajet

Wow, should have taken a certain amount of time. Glad you like my models. I really like my Dakkajet too. So sad it explodes so fast in game.
Do you guys remember that I painted some wolves and heroes for a Vampire counts army ?
We are starting to gather all the models from every painter. We're a bit later than planned due to real life and so. But the army is growing. I have a few pictures for you :
My wolves, now based :
Two wolves, one from myself, the other one from my friend Golbarg. They look different, but still work well together imho :
A unit of... what's the name of that unit again ? Can't remember the english name....
And unit fillers from the skeletton units :
This army will be sold, when complete, for a charity association that helps suffering children.
They look amazing you really do some amazing painting wish I was that good you're able to paint anything and the army is being sold for a great cause as well
Thank you all !
I hope this army will be finished soon so we can see pictures of the whole of it.
Last summer I entered the Gothicomp and won in one of the categories. As a prize I got a Dauntless class ship.
I painted it these days so he can join the rest of my fleet :
Nothing special, I simply painted him the same way as the previous ones. I have to admit that I still like that color scheme, several years later.
I should play that game more often...
Thanks dudes !
I fell in love with the BFG cover art many years ago, when the game was released. But I only got my fleet more recently, like ten years later.
I found some time to paint, wich is quite rare these days.
Since I have painted all my BFG stuff, and all the Askari models at my disposal for the moment, I decided to start a new project !
I met a game designer at a Convention, who created his own game named "Furie". We discussed a lot, and he explained that there was a faction of communist goblins, wich kinda caught my attention ( 'cause I love greenskins ^^).
When he told me that he had planned a cavalery unit for them, and that it would consist in goblins riding war-hamsters, I said "ok, give me a starter right now" !
Never played the game yet, but it's a skirmish game so I'll be ready to play as soon as my starter is painted.
A greenskin loving my greenskin. That's a good sign !
The cavalry is not available yet, but I'll get them as soon as they are released.
The "cavalry wave" is planned. I don't know when, but there are artworks available. Goblins will have war-hamster riders. The dwarves have a guy on a bear, driving him with a chicken hanging from a fishing rod if I recall correctly. (Dark) Elves have a crossbowman on a werewolf.
The game creator has crazy ideas, I really like that.
I just finished the second shooter from my starter. Here's a pix of the two buddies :
Minus wrote: Thank you Cam'.
I entered them into an online painting contest. I'll see how much the judges like them.
I got third place to the contest, wich I'm really happy with.
So, I'm back with another project. My orks are waiting for reinforcements, I have a bunch of dark eldars on my desk... but a new game is coming to our gaming club, I had a try and it was good so... I'm painting a starter for another new game.
Happily enough it's a skirmish game again, so I won't hae dozens of miniatures to paint.
That new (for us... it already exists for years) game is called Alkemy and is a Fantasy skirmish game. I picked the "Aurloks" faction, wich are a race of indian like animal/human hybrids.
I started painting them on monday and so far I did this :
So the next big steps are to finish the gold and the skins.
Hope you'll like them.
They're painted individually Cam. I apply little dots with 2 different colors.
It takes some time. Too much time.
There is a lot of time consuming work on textures on these models, like the lines on the feathers. It's long to do, but quite funny in fact. Btw did you see the pattern on the fabric clothes ?
Whoa, I've been away for some time, haven't I?! Lovely to see you're still painting away. The more you paint them, the closer I get to buying into Eden and BFG, those ISC were stunning.
How is 111 coming along? You'll remember I was looking for a miniature to convert for you to maybe paint but then I vanished. Sorry about that, hope it's going well!
Also, I'm going to have to work on some pinks soon and since it's your trademark colour then I could use some wisdom. I'm sure you've told me before but I could use as much info as you can give me on paints and techniques for pink. I'm going to be going for a really vibrant hot pink and it'll be applied as a spot colour.

Yes the texture is visible, and brilliant. Is that lots of dots too, or a different technique?
I have to check your topic, I didn't have much time to come on dakka lately so I missed the painting contest and have no idea what you guys have been painting lately.
On the fabrics, I painted vertical and horizontal lines to represent the frame. ^^

Oh man, Casey is back ! Nice to see you mate.
Do not hesitate to buy an Eden starter. Once again, contrary to Warhammer 40k for instance, an Eden starter contents all the minis you need to play (plus the rulebook). I mean, in a starter set, you have 100 points worth of models. Those 100 points are the normal game format. You can buy more models if you want to change your gameplay, but for casual games, a starter is enough. That's what convinced me.
By the way, it's exactly the same for Alkemy. They do even better 'cause for the same prize, you even get the dice in your box. And the more I play those games the more I like them.
Project 111 is still going on. I painted all my models (they are shown in the previous pages). Most of us did, but we took some delay, so the project leader decided to postpone the sale of the Army, because he thinks that summer holidays was not the best time for this. I guess it will be sold end of this year.
I'll ask again, and see if I can get photos of the finished units. I'll post them here.
Regarding the pink, what result do you want to get ? Would it be something close to my Aurloks feathers ? Or something more purple ?
Tell me, I'd be happy to help you.
Ok, back to Alkemy.
This is the photo of the first five finished guys. On more to paint and I can play !
Thanks Cam' !
It took me a loooooong time to get decided on the color scheme, because a friend at the gaming club picked the same faction. And he did a pretty nice painting on his own starter.
I wanted to come up with something different, so we can play together with no risk of confusion between his models and mine.

Thanks pal!
It's extremely tempting, the only issue is that I don't have a gaming group so they'd sit and wait for me to take a notion to paint them and then sit in a cabinet. I was having a look at the Alkemy stuff too and some of those miniatures are brilliant, depending on scale I could even see them as brilliant centrepieces in other game systems. Looking at the animals I wondered if OTLG new what sort of competition they had.

Ah yes I saw your models when I was catching up on your blog, very nice work. Postponing the sale seems like a wild choice. After all, you want them to do the best that they can. I would love to seem them all together.

Yes I'd say something very close to those feathers would be exactly what I was trying to achieve actually. Thanks for your help.
I'll be interested to see which other Alkemy model is next after looking through that factions gallery. There are some awesome miniatures to choose from.
Ok. Been away for a while. Thanks for your comments.
I have some news to show. Hope you'll enjoy !
First, I painted 2 more models for Alkemy. This is all I have for that game so far.
Now I'm painting a few objective markers.
I painted a werewolf-like model for Eden. I painted every model that was released for my faction :
And the whole group so far :
Then I painted a second model for Kolaps. Do you remember Nicolescu, the butcher looking model with a two handed axe ? Here's his friend, Vlado the penitent :
And the last model I just finished is the latest WarForge model, Nikita the assain :
I also have in game photos of Alkemy. I can post some if you are interested.
@ Casey : to get a bright pink, you should use a white undercoat. If the model is primed black, paint the pink areas white first. You can use the new citadel base white. Then apply a rich deep color, like the old Warlock purple. Then highlight with pink and white.
