All looking excellent Minus, the new warforge model looks nice although the sculpt looks a bit busy for some reason.
Really like the group shots of the Alkemy and Eden minis, I'd love to see some in game shots of the Alkemy game.

I quote my last message here to have the photos on this page... for the lazy people like me.
Minus wrote:Ok. Been away for a while. Thanks for your comments.
I have some news to show. Hope you'll enjoy !
First, I painted 2 more models for Alkemy. This is all I have for that game so far.
Now I'm painting a few objective markers.
I painted a werewolf-like model for Eden. I painted every model that was released for my faction :
And the whole group so far :
Then I painted a second model for Kolaps. Do you remember Nicolescu, the butcher looking model with a two handed axe ? Here's his friend, Vlado the penitent :
And the last model I just finished is the latest WarForge model, Nikita the assain :
I also have in game photos of Alkemy. I can post some if you are interested.
@ Casey : to get a bright pink, you should use a white undercoat. If the model is primed black, paint the pink areas white first. You can use the new citadel base white. Then apply a rich deep color, like the old Warlock purple. Then highlight with pink and white.

I got some photos of my latest Alkemy game. We had a 3 player game. The ruleset is not made for it, but we wanted to have a try. And it works really well.
The templars are marching to an old sanctuary :
Aurlok warriors get out of the jungle :
My own Aurloks, called the Nervials, were resting close to a pond :
The table at the beginning of the game :
The Aurloks have seen the templars and move to intercept them.
In the center of the table a lot of fights happen :
The Aurlok wolf attacks the Nervial shaman :
The Aurlok wolf attacks the Nervial toad. The toad doen't look that dangerous, but he kills his opponent and drowns his body into the pool.
In the back, we can see the Templar commander smashing heads.

Happy New Year everybody !
What are your modelling plans for 2015 ?
Gitsplitta wrote:That's a very neat battle mat (and the figures look great!).
It's the official mat, sold by the game editor. And yep, it looks good.
GiraffeX wrote:Looks like a fun game with some lovely painted minis all round.
It's a fun game. It totally works around objectives, killing everyone doesn't make you victorious. Insted, you have to activate beacons, close magic vortex and so on.
I'm only a beginner with Alkemy, but the game mechanics are simple to learn and the fighting systems is really great. It uses special dice, with values and symbols. You launch two dice. The values of the dice plus your combat skill are compared to the target's defense to see if you hit your opponent. If you do, the symbols combination determines how many life points are removed.
Simple and effective. I really like it.
I also painted some NPC models for Eden the game :

I have several projects for 2015. One of them is to get back to my Dark Eldars Army.
But the next project is to paint 2 more NPC for Eden.
GiraffeX wrote:They are nicely painted although a bit weird on the model side
Those beasts live in a world that was wasted by nuclear bombs... this caused some consequences. The lycals look like a mix between a wolf and a hyena... with 4 eyes... well one even has 6 eyes.

The rules exist for Eden. You can download them for free in english : http://www.eden-the-game.com/downloads-ins15.html
For Alkemy, they are currently translating the rulebook. I have no idea when it will be ready but I'll ask if they have a deadline.
If you are interested by this game and have some questions, feel free to ask. I'd be happy to help.

Hi GiraffeX !
It's really simple... I was surprised that it looks so good in the end.
I painted on a zenithal basecoat (zenithal white spray over black coat). First I painted the pants with space wolves grey.
Then I applied a wash made of ultramarines blue + black + medium.
Last step was to add devlan mud on the dirty areas.
Finished. Waiting for the washes to dry was the longest part.

Lately I realized that I had painted a lot of models for skirmish games (Eden, Fury, Alkemy, Kolaps) last year, but almost nothing related to 40k.
Then I decided to paint some Dark Eldars to make my army grow up.
I needed a Raider for my Grotesques, so I went on.
The raider itself is almost finished (only have to add all the dirty details) and the monster is only at the beginning.

I wanted this raider to be immediately identified as the Grotesques transport. I think it's clear enough, isn't it ?
inmygravenimage wrote:Loving your use of confrontation minis (as always!) - go dirz!
You should love what's coming next, as I'm painting the one that comes on top of the raider, and another to be my squad leader.
I'd also like to share this with you. Some folks here could be interested by the Kolaps Reboot.
Remember my Nicolescu (the butcher with a two handed axe) and Vlado (the living dead penitent) ? If you liked them, there's currently an Indiegogo for a reboot of that game, with the first 2 factions : APC (some kind of private police agencies) and also the Vampires.
The game is not translated yet but the models are fantastic. The Indiegogo is already funded, the models have been sculpted so there's no risk with this one. More information on TGN : http://www.tabletopgamingnews.com/kolaps-ground-zero-rebooted-on-indiegogo/
More pics of the raider coming soon.

So true !
Nashbashem wrote:Raider looks awesome. How did you paint the tank? Looks creepy (in a good way)
I painted the tank white, at first. The content (the ugly thing) is painted using several layers of Army Painter washes (they are similar to previous GW ones like the famous Devlan Mud). I used sepia, brown, red and purple washes, and applied them successively starting from a lower point, so the liquid is darker at the bottom.
Then I painted the fluid surface with a thin brown line.
At this point, the inside of the tank is done. Next steps are to paint all the dirt streaks coming from the upper trap door. On the previous image, these are made with brown and green washes. To get the final result you can see below, I added some more streaks with pigments.
You can add some white lines and dots to simulate the reflection. And in the end add some gloss varnish.
Might sound complicated, but honestly it's not because it doesn't require much care or precision except for the liquid surface.
And the Raider is complete.
I added a character on the front, to show that this space is free. That way I can show in game who embarqued the raider.
Hope you'll like it.

Hi all ! I recently painted an objective marker for Eden. It's a phone box from toy cars sceneries. This marker was an excuse for me to try a product that a buddy from my club lent to me. It's something that historical modelists use to make weathering effects on their tanks, planes and so. It's from Mig Jimenez AMMO range, called "heavy chipping effects". This are the WIPs shots. And the final result, after adding weathering powders and final details. It turned out good, I have to practice a little bit to achieve a finer result, but for a firt attempt I'm happy with what I got.

I'm back !
I've been really busy at home lately 'cause my little daughter was born end of march. Of course she's definitely the most beautiful "miniature" I've ever made.
But back to business !
I've found some time here and there to grab a brush an splat random colors on miniatures.
Firstly, I painted Jack.
Doesn't he remind you of someone ?
Now who you gonna call ?
A group shot with his friends :
And the latest model I painted is a small robot called freedom. This model was a good apportunity for me to use the Ammo of Mig chipping effect product.
I'm happy with the final result :
@ Gits : I replaced his weapons 'cause I didn't like them, I thought that electrowhips would look cool with his pose.
@ Bebop and GiraffeX : the guy on the right is small, grumpy, carries a miner drilling machine... he's basically a dwarf.
@ anyone : I was discussing with a friend lately, and we wondered if there was a specific english term for the edge highlights when painting miniatures.

Hi !
Well well well, almost 2 months since my last post... Looks like I've been quite busy lately.
To paint the denim, I use a blue plus black mix. I use ultramarines blue and added chaos black to get some sort of blue-grey. Then I put a blue wash everywhere (I use the old asurmen blue or army painters' wash). I shade the recesses with red wash (army painter once again).
It's now time for highlights. I get back to my base color and add space wolves grey. To get the denim effect, the secret is in the highlights. On the last steps, I don't try to get a smooth blending. Instead, I try to get textured effect, either with painting little dots, or with painting "grids". The last step is painted with pure space wolves grey.
Hope this helps. Maybe I could make a tutorial on a next model if someone is interested.
Now let's see what I've been doing lately (besides taking care of my daughter ^^ ).
First of all, I opened a blog because I wanted a place for me. Of course it's in french, but there are lots of pictures and google translator could help. And in case I'd have lots and lots of foreign visitors, I'd make english articles. My blog is there : http://code660066.blogspot.fr/
I also organised (and played) an Eden tournament. You can see lots of photos on my blog.
And I keeped painting Eden models.

Non satin satin, excellent !
I'm happy you like it, because a satin finish was exactly what I was aiming for. But I didn't really know how to achieve this. When I started highlighting the purple, I was like "oh man what am I doing, I'll ruin everything". But I kept going on and in the end I got the kind of result that I wanted.
Gantoris wrote:Do you varnish your minis and if so what do you use?
Yup.
I always varnish my models. I mainly use Pebeo matt varnish spray for acrylic paintings. It is a really good varnish, easy to apply with a really matt finish. This is what I used on father Grigore. For Stipan, I used Army Painter varnish, simply because that's what I used on my other Jokers. Seems quite good too, but not as matt as Pebeo's one.

Your mastery of the color purple is impressive (and for all of the other colors as well). It would make me seriously happy if you'd post up a tutorial on how to do that metallic purple.
Do you have a hard time with that spray-on matt varnish? I know that there are issues with many other brands, which is why I still primarily use Vallejo's brush-on product.
50760
Post by: Minus
Never had a problem with this varnish. Of course I avoid using it when it's freezing or when it's 35°C outside. But used with "normal" conditions it always worked perfectly fine for me.
The only exception is to not use this on soft plastic models like boardgames miniatures, Zombicide for example. These specific plastics react with some varnishes and become sticky.
Apart from this, no problem. I used it on plactic models, on metal models, on resin models, for more than 6 years and never had a bad surprise.
For the purple metalics, I'll see if I can do an illustrated tutorial. I can already explain how I proceed, the trick is to use Army Painter washes. Or previous GW washes if you still have some, not the current ones that don't have the same properties :
- basecoat with metallic color. I used bolgun metal.
- apply a purple wash overall. I thinned it down a little bit, and pushed it in the recesses and in the lowest areas to already have some color variations.
- now the idea is to have a color gradient with lighter colors upside, and darker colors downside. I use a blue wash first, that I apply in several steps. I concentrate mainly on the recesses and on the lower areas.
- now I use black color for the ultimate shading, especially on the lower part of the mask that I wnated to be really dark.
- last step is to highlight all the edges with silver
If I have the time I'll make a photo tutorial, I guess it will be easier to understand. ^^

I ask because varnish tends to really hurt my paint jobs and yours seem barley harmed by it at all, so far been using the Vallejo brush on stuff will give this Pebeo stuff a go.
50760
Post by: Minus
Didn't notice specific problems. Except this varnish is pretty matt, so if you expect a satin finish you won't like it. I've read on forums that some people don't like the effect on metallics. But I think it looks good.
I'd just avoid it on models that I want to keep shiny, like lacquered armours and so. For instance, I don't use this varnish on my BFG fleet, that is painted with ink washes on metallic base. In this case I want to keep the glossy effect.

Oh I see what you mean. I also have brush on varnish, but I've always found that it shines a little bit in the end. So I don't use it anymore, I prefer spray varnish.
By the way, I love those miniatures, and though the pictures are a bit small, your painting seems to look pretty nice on them.

Couldn't post yesterday because of "automatically blahblah blah".
Does anyone know how long we have to wait before we can double post and not have our two posts merged together ?
Well, as I said I finished painting Hellion. This model is definitely great. Il love the way he looks, like sneaking in the city ruins... carrying a 2 meters long sword.
And with his buddies :
More about that game and how I discovered it on my blog. It's written in french, but I added the google translator tool, that's a good opportunity to try it.

Haha.
And Grigore also carries a shotgun... just in case.
We had our first game of Kolaps : Hell Awaits at our club last friday. The game creator was in our area so he came for a demo.
The game was fun, and seems interesting. I hope I can I try it again soon now that I know the basis of the rules.
I've put pictures on my blog, here are some.

I'm back with Eden "in game" photos.
I had a very interesting game with a good friend, and posted a battle report on my blog. Once again, it's written in french, but a) you don't need to read french to watch the photos and b) that's another good occasion to try the included translator.
The report is here : http://code660066.blogspot.fr/2015/08/eden-partie-jokers-vs-matriarcat.html

Lovely work as usual Minus - gotta say though, your wrecked vehicles are top kahunna - awesome stuff. I say that calls for a wee tutorial
50760
Post by: Minus
Hi Januine !
Do you mean a tutorial on how to make those wrecks ? Or how to paint them ?
Btw, I'd like to ask people in here a question.
I'm considering the idea of painting some models for others. Not intending to make this as a full time job, but just a side activity to make a little money with something I like. I'd rather paint single models, as heroes, or skirmish games warbands, because there are already tons of army painters that are cheaper as I would ever be. Plus I feel like I'd do a better job on paintings that I appreciate, and I like individual models better than blobs of 90 zombies/soldiers/goblins.
I'd like an objective feedback on my skill. Do you think someone could be interested ? Would people be afraid to buy from another country ? And what do you think would be a fair price for those commissions ?
Be honest, it's just an idea for the moment and I can't decide if it's a good one or a bad one, so any comment is welcome.
91816
Post by: Januine
Both Minus! And as to you doing commisions.....I say go for it. The figures I've seen of yours here are top notch. I'm sure there'd be a market for a Minus original. Pricing and such - no idea at all!!

I'll try to make a tutorial the next time I make a car wreck, then. ^^
I've already made one regarding the painting part, but in french. You can see it there : http://code660066.blogspot.fr/2015/06/tutoriel-le-weathering-1.html
Is it what you're looking for Januine ? I can translate it in "almost english" if this helps.
Thanks for your answers regarding comissions. Only 2 messages so far, but really encouraging ones, so I'm seriously considering this now.
Gits, can I PM you to chat a little bit about it ?
Ok, and for teasers, I'm currently painting a Yeti from the game Fury : Outburst control.
It's a challenge through a french forum, several friends have a model to paint. And for some reason, the first posted Yeti was blue... the next one was green. Then we started joking about this, saying they are like the Power Rangers and we should paint one of each colour.
... and I decided to paint mine red...
A Yeti... red.
We'll see what I come up with in the end.

Ok I'm back !
I've just painted my Warmachine starter. I wanted to paint it real quick, so I went for a colour scheme that is not subtle at all, with crappy painting technics.
I went for heavy corroded metallics, a fluo green for all the energy-things, and I love the result. It should look good on the table during the games.
Article here (in french as usual) : http://code660066.blogspot.fr/2015/09/warmachine-starter-convergence-de-cyriss.html

That's Convergence of Cyriss robots, from Warmachine/Hordes. I'm not a great fan of the design of Warmachines robots, I tend to prefer Hordes, but the Convergence of Cyriss I really like them. They have an old-school sci-fi look wich really inspire me.

Hello all !
I've painted something special today... because I have no idea what I'll do with it.
A friend gave me a Dystopian Wars tank and told me "paint it if you want". I grabed a pot of green paint that I don't often use, basecoated it and started from this point.
The photos are not as good as I would like, but I'll do better ones once the base is done.
It's quite small, around 3 centimeters long I think, but it was really fun to paint. It changes from infantry models or 40k scaled vehicles and it was a good opportunity to try some Ammo of Mig products that I just ordered.
What do you guys think ?

I love the streaking on the armor plates and the little glowy bits. Put something that looks like a bomb on top and it would make a great squig bomb. Or perhaps the top half of a meched out human and it could be a servitor w/ heavy bolter!

Nice ideas Gits. I think my friend would prefer that I start an army, but your suggestions are more likely to happen. This, or I keep it on my desk because it looks cool.
Gantoris wrote:Impressive weathering considering the size! These are same scale as Epic right?
I haven't seen Epic models for many years now but I think it's a little bigger (but still really small compared to a 40k vehicle). Fluffwise, this tank is way bigger than an Epic one, it's like 40 meters long or something. The model itself is around 3 cm long.
I made a shot with an Ultramarine, for scale comparison. The base is only temporary, to put the tank on the same level as the marine.

Haha. I never remember, when there are two spellings for a word, wich one is the UK and wich one is the US version. So generally when there are more letters, that's the British spelling, right ?
GiraffeX wrote:The new new Janissar looks great Minus, he does look small compared to his warband members.
He's not small. It's his bodyguards that are pretty big, they are ogre sized. See this image from last week's tournament, the Alghul is surrounded by humans models (Matriachy band from a friend). The "trick" is to multiply the weathering technics. On this car I used stippling, masking fluid, blister foam, pigments, acrylic washes, enamel washes, streaking rust effects enamel and pigments.
Each of these technics are easy and give good results. When you start combining them, the result gets deep and rich. I LOVE painting this kind of stuff, beacause it has a random part, I never really know what I'm getting in the end.
Thanks for all your comments mates. That plus Fury Road, I'm really motivated to paint the next cars !

Ah that feathers. I painted my band and went to the club to play them. And the friend I played with told me "yeah they look good but you should highlight those feathers a little more and they'll look even better". I hated him because the feathers had taken me sooooo much time. But I followed his advice, and guess what... he was right. It almost drove me crazy to re-highlight those, but the result has really improved so it was worth it.

Scorpion Green Gits. ^^
It's a color I have had on the paint rack for years and never used before. I tried it for the first time on my Cyriss models, because I wanted to use something different than Scaly Green (oh man I love this color) and Scorpion green works well for these kinds of effects.
However it doesn't cover at all, so applying a white coat previously is mandatory.
26790
Post by: Gitsplitta
I use it a lot with my marines, but it's always going over a darker color, so the fact that it's translucent just makes for a more subtly blended highlight.
Thanks!

I was experimenting with different mixes of varnishes, and I realized that your minis have the perfect finish that I've been looking for. I apologize if you've already answered this on a previous page, but what's your process? The best results that I've managed are from 2 coats of gloss, and a few more of thinned-down matte, but it looks like you have it mastered.
50760
Post by: Minus
Hi !
I also tried lots of different varnishes before I could find the one that I was looking for.
The answer is quite simple : I use Pebeo mat varnish spray, for acrylics. It's easy to use, I've never had problems with it. When applying it, it leaves at first a quite thick white-ish coat. It's a bit scary but don't touch anything, let it dry gently and it will be fine.
Now question is : is this brand available in the US ? I have no idea.
There is only one problem with this varnish : it reacts with soft plastic models and makes them sticky after a certain time. Don't use it on Zombicide models or so. Otherwise, it's perfect. I have plastic, metal and resin models that I sprayed like 6 years ago, and no problem with them.
The can looks like this :
And I have some update, with new cars for Red Button's Nation. I also took new pics of the previous ones, I now have 4 cars :

Thanks for the info on the varnish. If I can't find that exact can, I still might be able to locate something similar.
Those cars are looking great as ever. Your eye for texture is incredible. An interesting technique that you might like is using tiny bits of putty to make weld marks between panels. It does look a little bit dramatic at this scale, but the added detail can really push the gritty aesthetic you're going for here.

I went for rivets this time, but I keep the idea of welding seams because it's really interesting !
Thanks.
As for the varnish, in France we can order it online on art craft webstores. Maybe you can find it on US websites, or even directly on Pebeo's online store ?

Thanks Illumini ! I'll now paint the warriors, unlike yours mine are a mix of whatever I found inspiring, there's no cohesion between them and I mix humans, mutants, monsters and robots in an apocalyptic mess. I see them as mercenaries that gathered for a common cause... or for money... or water.
As I already said in this topic, Eden is my favorite game at the moment.

Since a Kickstarter is currently running for this game, I wanted to paint some more Alkemy. I had one Crow to do. Crows are probably my favorite type of Aurloks.

I just finished paiting this model. Lots of views on my blog as usual : http://code660066.blogspot.fr/2015/11/warforge-peinture-de-kristiana.html
This model can be played as a tech-priest or something like that in 40k, she's provided with servo arms and also a little robot.
Since I wanted to play her in Eden, I painted her using my Resistance color scheme.
More views and a group shot on my blog, but here's a photo of her :

I really love this model. I'll paint her little robot soon I think.
Remember the Yeti I painted ?
Or my Soviet gobs ?
Yesterday, a friend came home for a game of Fury, and I took photos of our bands.
His orcs. I LOVE the paladin, the one with the black armor.
The Yetis, I painted the red one, and two friends painted the other ones.
And my Goblins.
I painted my models like a year ago, but we only really started playing last month, and so far we really enjoy it. You can see in game photos on my blog right there :

evildrcheese wrote:I like the red yeti the best, which seems odd to my brain.
Because it's red ?
I painted him this color because friends defied me to. So I said "ok, let's go I'll paint that guy red". But to be honest, when I started painting him I had no idea what I was doing and how I could make an "icy" creature look good with fiery colors.
youidiotkid wrote:It seems like you and your group are all incredibly talented painters. How long have you all been at this?
Yes, I have a group of friend that I really like to play with because a) they all play full painted, if it's not painted it stays in the case, b) they're cool, we have the same conception of "playing miniatures" and c) we all roll dices incredibly badly, our group is a living negation of dice probabilities.
And some of them paint really good. For example the one that painted the Fury orcs above.
Or the one that plays the Matriarchy in Eden. His band facing my Askaris at a tournament :
I don't know exactly when each of us started painting models. Personnaly I jumped into the hobby around 1999, when Mordheim was released, 40k was at its 3rd Version. But back then I didn't paint my miniatures, I'd rather say that I put colors on them. I really started painting, trying to improve myself in summer 2008, when I came back after several years without painting or playing.

In fact, it's both of it. To be more precise :
- on the shoes, no gloss varnish, it's a grey then white highlight
- on the gloves and the black hood, it's a gloss varnish
- on the bottle, I painted reflections like you would do on gems or so, and then I added a gloss coat
I also painted a new model yesterday. I don't know if it will be familiar for you guys, but I had never seen such a thing before. Apparently it's a famous monster from D&D, and it's... an owl-bear. Man, I don't know who imagined this, but it's so stupid it's genius. And look at its face...
So that's a perfect mutant for Red Button's Nation :

Post by: Minus
@ Gits : there's a gradient of greens painted on. And then I applied a generous coat of gloss varnish on top of it.
@ Boss Salvage : yeah I love this picture too. It's kinda atmospheric.
@ Cam' : it's "just" gloss varnish. Of course, I don't have a real deepness effect, compared to resin water used for dioramas. But it looks good enough for a gaming table, and it is really easier to do.
Back with a new recruit for Red Button's Nation : Tara.
We make demos of RBN at our club's convention saturday, so I figured out that it would be a good idea to have my convoy painted.

I kept the color scheme from the rest of the band, but since there is only armour on these models, I didn't know how it would look in the end. But the turquoise on the whole models works pretty well, and the rust is a nice addition to this color. I'm really satisfied with what I got in the end. ^^
GiraffeX wrote:They look great Minus love the weathering and that blue is very nice which make is it?
Hi GiraffeX !
I'm not sure what brand you're asking for. So to be sure to answer, I'll give you the brand of everything.
The models are Resistance miniatures from Eden (Happy Games Factory).
The blue is GW Hawk Turquoise or Army painter Hydra Turquoise, wich are identical. I use them undistinctly. Then a blue wash (army painter) to shade. And highlights with turquoise plus GW Space Wolves grey.
Rust is made using Ammo of mig Light Rust wash and Streaking rust.
Add Forgeworld pigments on the base, and you know everything.
So let's see what we've got now.
I painted two sets of crates objectives for a new mission for Eden. What's noticeable with these is that I created the mission that goes with the crates. It was really fun to do, and it's cool when you get in your mailbox something that you had imagined !
Crates look good, with a little futuristic design. I painted them all rusty to give them a post apoc feel. And as you mignt know for now, I love painting rust so I really enjoyed painting that crates.

You can find more views on my blog : http://code660066.blogspot.fr/2016/02/eden-un-convoi-pas-comme-les-autres-1.html
So in fact my Convoy is a group of escapes from an underground Askari laboratory. Askaris made scientific experiments on them, wich explains their mutations. Since they're former prisonners, I chose to paint their clothes orange. I think that it works pretty well with the skin tones.

Malifaux, Infinity, Age of Stuff & Warmahordes (though my sabbatical from WM/H is going into its second year now) on the skirmish side of things. Kings of War for proper armies - previously WHFB. And I suppose Super Dungeon Explore for board game minis? Though not as much as I'd like. I also KS'd Arena Rex, Wraith of Kings, Titan Forge's thing ... but have very little desire to learn their rules, which means not likely getting to the pretty models involved. Bit of a bummer but my painting interest is closely tired to my hobby interest which is closely tied to gaming, or at least the dream of it. Was checking out EDEN more yesterday, still quite a few nice things in there. ISC would probably be used as a Malifaux crew - Salvage

Haha. Sometimes I think I play too much different games, but I see I'm not alone in this case. ^^

Take everything !
When I started Eden, it was just a "side game". I picked Askaris, because I love their look and theme (would you guess that I love mutants ? ^^ ). And they only require 3 models to play. It was perfect for me...
And now I'm painting Convoy, wich is my... sixth faction for this game...

I may pick a few of my fav sculpts for order rather than picking a specific faction. There really are some fantiastic figs in that game

Beebop !
How are you ? I'm so happy to see you back here. I'd like to see you paint minis again !
I couldn't paint for a week. It kinda frustrated me, so I painted Angela for my Convoy.
More photos on my blog, as usual : http://code660066.blogspot.fr/2016/03/eden-un-convoi-pas-comme-les-autres-5.html
And my band, that I can now play since I have 100 points :
On the blog, you can also find a step by step on Otto's painting.

They are looking great Minus, I really like Angela the spots on her skin are really nicely done.
In the group pic the guy on the right looks really small compared to the rest.

Thanks mates !
I was really busy lately so I didn't have much time to come on dakka or paint, but last week I painted 3 more ISC models in a rush.
Fluffwise, one of those is the real Green Youkai, both others are copies of it in wich the Youkai can transfer herself.

But... they're blue... not green.

Haha. The color in their name indicates their tactical role. Not their physical color.
(I knew that YOU would say something about them not being green )

Thanks !
A friend told me that the blue looked too blue, and he was right. I added red in the shades, and it looks better now !

Oh, I took photos of one of my latest Eden game, the first time we played on my swamp table and first game with my Convoy. Forgot to post them here.
We played the same bands, using the same fighters, my friend and I. It was pretty fun !

Thanks mates. I'm really happy with that table, since I'm not really confident when making sceneries.
I currently have lots of projects on my desk. I'm building and preparing several models for painting, including something old for Gits' Mantis contest.
But I also have one painting in progress, Hektor the Rhinotaur. This model was sculpted by my brother, it's only his second sculpt !
Hektor is pretty big, he's 8 cm tall to the eyes.
Color images to come soon.

Wow, the texture and folds in the skin are amazing. He definitely has a strong grasp of anatomy. What material is it made with?
I was really impressed with the mottled skin you painted at the top of this page, so I'm expecting great things for this mini

Hektor is mainly made of Fimo, with some Green stuff details. I just finished painting him (just need varnishing and then I'll take photos). The sculpt is not perfect, and on some areas it's a bit messy. But it was still a fun model to paint, and for a second sculpt, I think my brother did a pretty good job.
See you later for the color version of Hektor. Hope you'll like him.
Oh, btw I took a photo of the raw model. Black and white parts are Fimo, green is green stuff :

Crikey Minus, those skin tones are seriously gorgeous. Top job there fella. Hektor looks amazing. The turquoise pendant is a nice touch. Really sets off the greys. Cracking!!
