eesh... not too big they have to cut you open, I hope... though the alternative method of removal I wouldn't much prefer... good luck! ^^
Automatically Appended Next Post: and I reckon go to fallout 3 or new vegas- vegas is more recent (ergo- slightly better graphics), set mostly in the desert around the vegas strip, while fallout 3 is mostly urban ruins. Personally, I find the new vegas storyline better.
As for the FO3 storyline... The original ending was incredibly lame! But I heard they fixed it. Obsidian is well known for their pretty awesome writers. So it was with KOtOR I and II - the second part had batter story and dialogues. Funny thing, Obsidian always doing the sequels for good games...
at dave...even tho i already have a sigworthy quote of yours...
Aside with an obsession for little plastic rivets, i'm PERFECTLY sane! it's everyone else around me that is nuts!
that must be remembered on a more brighter side^^
at max... i think if all can be mended by pills...then let it be pills...otherwise i´ve heard that stones can be destroyed by sonics... thats million times better than getting a cam inside your peepee and later on leting someone use a knife on you...i cross my fingers till they are white for you!!!
as for the recent discussion: JAKE! be aware that all your recent grafic standards will have to be lowered to a below smartphone standard if you want to play FO 1&2... because these are all just totally low graphic games... BUT the storyline and gameplay is quite brilliant and it was one of the first RPG ´s set in a postapocalyptic world...oposed to the fantastic worlds created back then en masse...
as for MMORPG´s (well rpg for a lack of a better word..no wait...scam is far more fitting...) they are atm dead for me, because they now resemble more of a work day...with idiots to booth...and it got even worse since they introduced by your gear instead of fight for your gear... now the dumb jockeys have all the luck in the world, because they pay for it to hit noobz... no skill winners...the worst part i can imagine...
Just finished the fallout 3 main questline... about 7 hours and it's done? Way too short for my liking... new vegas took at least a dozen, most probably more.
well...the idea behind this game is that you let yourself get sidetracked as much as possible... to get the most of the game... i think you could do this with every major game out there.... do a net-run through...but where is the point in that...
at max...yep...the releasing of said debris...ouch again... hope i will never be with you on this one tho...
Aye, but sadly my last save before the end of the mission (aside from being trapped) is missing about 3 hours of gameplay really need to learn to save the game more as opposed to quick saving...
edit- turns out I managed to run back out of the room before I was spoken to, but now I have a follower who won't go away :(
yup i knows that by now^^ but my pc gets a frozen screen at totally random moments... so i try to save often ...and save for good i do... by the way... the game also saves auto saves on its own acord... whenever you get into a new zone... no ther savegame available? hmmm...
Hey, I found that FO-3 was not JUST Urban ruins, there were out door scenes there to wander about in, and it is set in the alternate Washington D.C. area. Once you add the DLC's it get's even more interesting. With helping the Outcasts you get that Alaska sim, so wintery scenes, with the Pitt, super urban
Industrial in fact! Point look out is so swamp land and bayou like with so little in the way of "civilization" in it, and Mother ship Zeta is all on board that alien starship, whose main engineering seems like a massive homage to Star Trek BTW.
Broken Steel helps with a better end to the fight as you help mop up the Enclave, and stop their mad plans and then you are like in Oblivion, free to wander about and do things with the character (especially if you have yet to finish collecting weapons and items or investigate all of the locations or finish the many side quests available.
With FO-NV they have done the same. Dead Money you get stuck in a Casino and small village outside it.
I have not done all of the DLC's I bought for FO:NV yet, but the Kind Hearts has me wandering about in the painted valley of Utah Beautiful new scenery. There is also another one that has a different setting, and the sci-fi weridness one to go through. also open now with all the DLC's as I think one allows the game to go past the final battle of the main quest line?
i think that when watching my freind play the Pitt a while back, it made me laugh.. seeing as i am from Pennsylvania, the way it looks in the dlc just makes me think of normal pittsberg and not post apoc one
welcome back to the fold RW... i was rather thinking you got totally sucked up in work...good to see you back again!
shaso... yep... i am most eager to see more outdoor fun... somehow that is much more interesting to me than all these close quarter fights were a burst is all you need... i am more a fine placed shot kinda guy anyway^^ so long ranged fights suits me more^^
the pitt i am currently most looking forward to...will the game lead me to these locations or how do i acces them?
i currently purged the chineese stray soldiers in that food factory... after that i finally got me the dogmeat dog... but i got to say... it is way creepier now the game as i have him barking and huffing around all the time... on numerous occasions one bark had nearly shoot him... i must contain myself...^^
Let him growl and bark, let him run out and bite them. He focuses their aggro and you can take well-placed shots, that's the way I play anyways. I usually just use conventinal weapons most of the time.
Rogue Wolves wrote:i think that when watching my freind play the Pitt a while back, it made me laugh.. seeing as i am from Pennsylvania, the way it looks in the dlc just makes me think of normal pittsberg and not post apoc one
I think that is one place that it would be hard tell the difference.
Honestly, it really does! I just drove through downtown Pissburgh last summer! lol

For going underground, the combat shotgun/flamer, and 10mm SMG works a piece! Same with the AK's Liking experimentation, getting Gen. Jingway's "Powersword" is good for some of that super close fighting as your pip-boy plays Galaxy Radio's "Butcher Pete"
Yeah, and he does occassionally get in the way while going places.
ah... ok... i was just selling loot at megaton and imidiatly went to the vault... but no doggy there... so then i try again...
and i have talked to him a bit... and it seems he can track down amo, food and other stuff...very useful companion...
by the way... wtf...the talon crew is hunting my backside...well they tried... now the are pushing up the daisies^^

for a good and final headshot the 44er is very nice... and well the sniper gun is one with a nice punch too^^

Yeah Dogmeat has other uses.
Oh, as you get good karma, the Talon got hired by somebody to get you, on the Talon merc squad leader, you will find a bounty note talking about your character, it will even have the name you chose in the notes. Motivation: 1000caps for your head

ah ok... i have recently get to understand that killing off good peeps gives not as much ep as killing off bad peeps... killed brahmins and a robot... they gave me not much in the ep department... well of course they are not to be considered very tough targets to begin with...^^
well i am a person known to change my minds all of a sudden in a game... might just meet theese on unfriendly terms too...^^
Well, until then, it is better to have Talon after you as until you can use Powered Armor, combat armor is very nice, and with so many Talons after you, you have plenty of repair pieces to make yours at 100%! Plus spares for the weapons too!

Ah, another who enjoys that!
me now too... i always had the hots for redheads... and her skimpy outfit... well...well...just generaly well
the vid was very good... it always amazes me how much energy some fans can put into such projects! if the post apocalyptic world has buddies and sidekicks like these...well it is not too shabby to be alive then...^^
Well, besides the redhead thing....that look as she walks away from the camera. perfect.
LOL! in game though you get one talking companion, and a dog. it would be interesting if you could have more at the same time. In FONV, the robot ED-E and a person.
in Fo2 you had iirc up to three? a smallish gang... that way you could loot more and have way more fun in battles... it got a way more strategic air about the game then... i guess that´s why they made FO tactics...which everyone seems to dislike... i played it and have it still installed on my PC...it filled a niche for me...
Well, in the vanilla game you can have two companions (one humanoid (ghoul, human) and one non-human (robot, dog), but with mods they don't count towards your companions- I have one mod dog, one mod deathclaw, one vanilla dog, 3 mod humans and one vanilla human, though usually I run with one dog, the deathclaw and a mod companion to keep it from being too easy.
Now that also is another thing, I see so many people do weird things with the PC version, I am just enjoying it on console as is, no weird alterations no making myself invincible, no outside the game stuff. Plenty enough to keep track of as is!
I'm on about new vegas, most mods don't work on fallout 3 for some reason, and I don't even have a follower... only encountered three possible companions, one of which I'm too bad for (karma level), one I'm too good for, and one I'm doing a quest for to make her a follower. In new vegas, I encounter few fights I can't handle alone (I've got one of the best armour and weapons), with decent battle-oriented perks and traits, so what better way to entertain more than to see a cyber-dog, deathclaw and ghoul try to bite/claw/punch a raider? ^^
Some of these come as you level up, but check your Pip-boy for the radio frequencies. these are what helps you get the access, and quests that allow access.
Your first big challenge will be getting to the GNR studios (if you did not pass the speech check with Moriarty) building and meeting Three Dog. However, you'll get to shoot the Fat Man at a Behemoth mutant too, so t's pretty cool!
should i do this rather quick or do i have time for that? i am doing some research work for that girl in the suply shop at megaton first... she is writing a book on post apocalyptic survival...always was the man for a lil something helpful to damsels in distress...or at least pretty damsels anyways^^
yeah for now i am looking for molerats... they are fairly easy to hit with the stick^^ three i have... but i want the superquest too... where do i find more of these tasty fellas?
Galaxy News Radio- Every 2 days Molerats respawn, remember that, a lot of time you can find a nest (like behind megaton where the free sniper rifle is) and use the wait (t) function
Too bad you don't get that radio station in NV, though you get black mountain radio. Just adding in a mod now to boost its signal over the entire wasteland.
Is there a mod to add more period music to the rotation of GNR? It pisses me off to no end when I am at work, in the middle of the afternoon, and I have "let's go sun'in" in my head.
I don't know about a mod but you can in fact add any music you want to the playlist......
I think there is a limit on how ling the piece can be but it is possible. It involves using mod software that lets you dig through all the files in the cabs and edit them.....
I used FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager) to rip out all the files I used to make the soundtrack with radio commentary inserted into it....
It came out very well and I am sure that you could figure out how to put in your own tunes.....
I replace one of Three Dogs newscast introductions with a Mountain Dew commercial just for poops and giggles.......
.And the old Casey Casum isn't even in the Radio Vegas buildingi s he? It's not like you can just go in there and blow his face off. You can do that with Three Dog if you want to.
dsteingass wrote:.And the old Casey Casum isn't even in the Radio Vegas buildingi s he? It's not like you can just go in there and blow his face off. You can do that with Three Dog if you want to.
Very automated, like "Clear Channel" stations are now.

They used to come help me out, but then I sided with Mr House and robots.
If I can be bothered with it later, I'm going to just add GNR to NV.
well actually i like atm to listen to radio enclave... it always makes me chuckle... when eden talks about election, dogs, children and baseball...that is so hilarious...^^
Hi, just had a look and everything looks pretty cool, but what exactly are the trenchers and where can I buy them? I did look on Warzone's website but couldn't see find anything labelled trenchers. Any ideas?
I loved hellboy I, and yeah, III wasn't quite the same, but it was still pretty good... Just came back from two bottles of coke, a "treat" bag of skittles and LOTR, pretty good way to ease the stress of coursework IMO ^^
I love that fight so much more straight-up than the pelennor fields, where it's gondor vs mordor, then gondor/rohan vs mordor, then gondor/rohan vs mordor/haradrim, then gondor/rohan/army of the dead vs mordor/haradrim... especially when they go "feth it, let's go down in style" and ride out
well... i guess it is because there is no future for everyone... love and future go so well together like aplepie and cream... if one is missing... the other is rather useless...
i wondered about that too... but that would be a good idea... heck...with the liscense you could make a chineese attack situated game too... but i guess you would loose the RPG feel then...
There is talk of moving the storylines in from each coast as the game progresses and meeting somewhere in Kansas o Texas to hit the final cofrontation.....
yeah... i know i should invest some time in robot making...*looks sheepish* but everytime i have some non dakka freetime i am in the wastelands now...^^ i need to clean my desk and then progress can be made^^
shaso...you are totally right... the update is long overdue... but the limbs are a bit tricky in my mind... well i guess i have to just cut them to fit... we´ll see what can be done tomorrow...
and dave... i have atm next to no place on the desk as everything is strewn about there... when i go creative i have everything littered around me... shame is then i have no workspace left^^
í know that one... but me...never use drugs...not even ingame... so no addiction will happen... by the way.. used rad-x once...the grafic effects...OGM... same with the antjuice...
Ah, that's why I haven't seen it in FO3... and I'm currently fighting for the hoover dam for the third time, this time with the 'bots instead of NCR... maybe next time I'll go with the legion...
somehow there are many peeps around that even have a favorite beetle...i mean... i have no opinion on them...i like their music... they can live or not live however they want for my part^^
and i feel cracked up... i didn´t shoot no one all day... man...all that notwasted amo going to waste...
and mind you...it is way creepy having to crawl through metro tunnels and then when you decide it is finally time for bed... you are the sole person non asleep...the apartment is all quiet and then you hear something cracking...man... it is so easy to flinch in the darkness after a session of FO... and the worst part is... you have no shotgun to protect you from possible harm...*shudders*
today i finally managed to squeeze some hobby time in... worked on the knee tigh/claf section... hopefully it will be presentable for you tonight... it has still to set and cure a bit further to be able to take pics of...

Yeah. that and his debut where he thought the Dirty Water was a Nuka and the lights got all special and the music played all in his fevered imagination.
for me the mysterious stranger was tone of the most hillarious things... i saw him run into him and help him get his box again... and i instantly thought... that man...he looks strange...get it? lol
anyway... i promised an update and here it is...the today work of the legs... courtesy of liquid nails again... that stuff is quite an ideasver as i can fulfill my ideas and it still works even tho the materials usually leave me alone and don´t stick to each other as i had planned... but now i can nail everything down as planned...i think i will get me another tube soon...that stuff is rather omnipotent^^
anyways...some pics...not nice but will get serious sanding action soon to get it better shaped...
dirty job legs... the joints are bigger wooden beads... a bit larger than 1.5cm i think in diameter... and then some rather cheap tubing from the electro department of the hardware store...my wife bought me a length of 2meters for only 0.70€s... yeah that cheap... cable tunnel or sumthin´^^
and together with the body/torso...but not connected...
that knight will be standing quite tall indeed... btw...each piece of tubing is 3 cm long...
oh and for your information... since max is chucking out more titans than anyone could ever hope to achive... i have started a little (not really little) sideproject with my first love in materials... a cardboard titan...pics will follow shortly... i needed to find out if it would be doable for me...since cardboard is cheap and sturdy and i had my fist real successes with it... so it will be a bit bigger than that knight... for your information even further...the tubing section between joint and joint on the knight is 3cm... whereas the cardboard ratio is 7cm...
lol...well i always think at least about my projects while getting disatracted from them^^ so the conceptual work goes on while doing someting else...like flossing or doing the dishes^^

Hey, I know that feeling! Even though I already know the level of my skill with GS, it's still pretty hard for me to make this initial step... It's a bit silly. Good, the initial step is all it takes
As for this FW "Chaos Warjack"... Well, like it been said in one very good and very old Soviet comedy: "Everything had already been stolen before us!"
well... i can still remember your folks walking away with railroad rails and even a whole powerplant back in the last century
for me the most vital point not to start with GS in a session is the mixing and planning ahead of what to use the GS for... every time i have way too much mixed stuff after i am finished...and i am not that good to make good use for the leftover stuff...
tried even the fridhe recently but i have not since then thawed it off again...

Another case of the players of consoles feeling a tad more honorable as we play with what we are given, no cheats, no mods, no craziness added to the game.
MODs can be fun, it's just a shame 90% of them seem to be adult-related women type ones... whatever floats your boat, I guess.

That skit set the whole thing up Shrike
While spam is a canned meat product, it was the use of it so many times on the "menu" in that skit that got the situation you mentioned to be coined.
Sawed off shotgun is my pistol of choice in close quarters or if I have power armour, otherwise I use a 44, some energy weapon (Laser RCW ) or more recently silenced weapons and sneaking.
mates you really make my mouth water with all those upcoming weapons... i have atm the 44 with scope she packs quite the punch... the sawed off shotgun while collecting a multitide points in style lacks for me so much in amo capacity and range that i don´t use her...
