Hydra has a 72" range. You can try to reach me. BTW, I can move 6" and still shoot one of my TL AC. From either tank. And trust me, they won't be squadroned.

So, Two Hydras. Again.

These ones aren't in a venom. There's 2 squads of long-range weapons in cover, and one on either side of the board so that you can't stay out of range. You might win, but it's 4 lances and you've only got 4 shots per tank.

Pretty sure your Dark Lances only have a 48" range. I have 72". And I can move and fire. Also, TWO hydras = 8 shots stationary, TL'd, not to mention heavy bolters if I need them in the 36" range band. Was there ever a limit to table size? I think not...

But fine. Take a monolith. Nowhere near as hard as Old Skool monoliths, so Deathwing terminator squad with 4* TH/SS and Chainfist, clocking in at 220 points will make short work of it I think.

Simple way of dealing with this. 6 TH/SS termies. 240, and quite a bit more powerful due to the extra termy and no chainfists to hold them down.

You could simply have used something quick enough to keep out of their way while shooting them down. Anyway, I think I'll try your tactic: strike squads can't be amazingly effective vs. tanks anyway, especially when they can move easily and fire 12 shots per turn between them. 3 Hydras in seperate squadrons: 225
