I have painted the basics on ten plague... guys. Now I am going to make my own nurgling bases because i got a bunch of those adorable little guys from bits bags. So many.

Finished my assault marines. after adding blood effects as fie they hit a guy and blood splurted onto them(Used Blood for the Blood God) alot of blemishes get hidden and they look dynamic. Now onto my 32 IG models. Got the special primer.
Gonna dip them, I learned dipping models can be a legitimte way to paint.

Assembled a slaughterpriest and then primed it with a bad pot of imperial primer. Knew being out of spray primer was a bad oman.

Getting the silver done on my land raider Proteus whilst making cakes for Christmas.

Finished my Cataphractii Captain for my Void Kraken Space Marines. Going to probably work on either my Deffwotch some more and/or put together some Tau Breachers still on sprue after work.

Officially started work on my Porphyrion, having pinned both feet, hinged the knees and stuck together the cockpit section.

Bit more on some 15mm SS, also putting a PRP-4 together and a bit of paint for my Team Yankee force, figured a proper observer may improve my artillery performance (it could hurt).


Loving SS camo in 15mm.. looks good when its done though.

Got in two games with Haley2.

First game was a win against Skorne when my opponent didn't realize his warlock was in range of my TA'ed Stormwall's guns and he didn't have any transfers.

Second game was a loss against Legion because I didn't understand the scenario parameters, and allowed myself to be killboxed.

Well, I fully assembled the pieces for my Dreamforge APC. Didn't put the troopers together, but those can always be added later.

Hopefully tonight, I will be able to spend some time masking out the pieces that aren't together so I can get it primed next week sometime.

...Till I gave up with that and just turned the thing into a Jagdtiger with an extended super structure instead.

Merry Christmas and I want to take a moment to thank every body who updates this thread. Whether it is to post progress pictures or simply describe what they have recently been doing my visits to this thread have always upped my hobby mojo!

Lets hope for 2017 this thread maintains its spunky vigour!

Today I took the rare quiet opportunity to paint some tendons on the unarmoured daemon prince neck to look a bit more like cabling. Sadly hobby time has been really lacking recently. I didn't even ask for anything hobby related for christmas because I already am struggling to deal with what I have in stock!

Today lifted my hobby spirits as it is good to make progress of any kind!

As for the reclaimed packaging/etc from Christmas day? I'm going to be turning them into scenic pieces for my future imperial guard. I will be making sets of three pill boxes, which hopefully also will be able to double up as heavy weapon team squads!

I've had five stripped/re-based cowboys sitting on my desk for a week. That or the guardian weapon crew. I'll try to do something to one of those.

Also, working on my next game project (yay...another 2-3 years!)

Finished painting a Wayclad Wayfarer. Circle solo.

I assembled some Sisters of Silence today. They're probably going to act as henchmen for the small Inquisition Warband I have in mind

I put together some tactical marines. I magnetized the missile launcher marine so I can give him a Grav-cannon later. I also had a fun time of drilling the barrels of a dozen weapons. I put together the new plastic Librarian as well. I couldn't use the scenic base since it was 25mm and I wanted the guy to look consistent with the rest of my army. Thankfully I had a nice little container of scenic "rocks' made of cork for him to stand on.

Built my KS Exclusive UCM Atlantis Battlecruiser.

Also have a 1500 point list in mind to build towards, I'll just need a Battleship box, 5 Cruiser sprues, and the Corvettes to be released.

Finished basing the Tzaangors I started on about 2 weeks ago and rolled right into assembling a Daemon Prince. Still haven't decided on a paint scheme for the old boy.

Went shopping to see if anything useable was on sale.

Got three 3' x 4' black foamboard packs marked down from $15 to half price, then they went through for $5 each. First time I had seen black foamboard stocked too.

Also found a decent stable 85cm square foldout table too so I finally have a dedicated playing space again!

Didnt have any luck finding miniature snowy pine trees this year among the Christmas stuff unfortunately.


Rogue Stars has also arrived in the mail so reading through that.

Oil washed most of my CSM today, will clean it off tomorrow and thats the marine side of them done to the point they are usable, just need to work on the vehicles and get the rest of the cultists and possessed sorted and they can have their first game..

Aww... I do that too. Modelling and painting take my mind off of the bad things in life.

Finishing up my Support Squad for my 1k sons, starting my second DIY zone mortal is tile, searching for my missing Swordmasters and playing a 3000p game of AoS.

My iron warriors army is in such a mess; if it were a film, it would be either 'Manos' or Transformers 2

Finishing up my Tau Breacher Squad (wash, touch ups, helmet lenses), maybe put some paint on those Deffwotch models ive been dragging my feet about finishing, and maybe if im feeling super productive ill start on either some Sniper Scouts or cut foam for more model trays.

Still have a bit of residual flash to clean up (and straightening those multi-laser barrels) and it'll be on to painting.

I hate to tell you this but you've glued all of the wheels on the wrong sides. The arrow of the tread pattern should point down at the front.

Yeah, fortunately that's a pretty easy fix.

Welp, so far I have only managed to partially work out my Recon Hive Regiments, but I did play a 1500pt game - A single full Hive Ranvent Shift (see fluff) against some 'what happened to be available' orks. Lost very badly, but learnt a lot and had fun, so I count it as a win for me. Biggest problem I was having was my chimera's getting in the way of each other, but I can work on that.

Also, if enough people turn up will be playing a session in an Only War Campaign later.

Put 4 Rampagers (WE, FW), new and unassembled, onto ebay.
Not sure if there is a market for them.

Painting some chaos terminators, slow going due to the Tamiya clear red needing three thinned coats.

No I dead how bad chaos terminators are, I suspect *very*, but I like the models and figure on table they are cheap enough in small units to be an amusing distraction, which is the role planned for them, that and small scale assassination of enemy rear area support units.

Typical for GW though, the box has five, they are bought in formations that start at three models... Hope if they ever re-do them they go to six in a box, oh and more chainfists.

I am painting a scenery thing that is cartons of fruits and veggies. They are the most adorable.

Played the Walking Dead All Out War. Was losing badly in terms of loot recovered until I managed to sneak Rick behind Patrick who was carrying 4 of my opponent's 6 loot counters and then cause mayhem, dragging 4 walkers into Patrick. Ten walker attack dice. It was messy.

With the bane wolf (yes the chem wolf) I was thinking in certain parts of the hive it might be known as a pacifier - its chem gas being non lethal and used to pacify worker riots. I imagine the Bane Wolf (Melta one) would often be used for cutting through or clearing ruins and debris (as most hive debris is plasteel, ceremite and rockcrete). I imagine the Hellhound would be used to clear Underhive areas of shanty towns.

With my week off beginning 23rd January confirmed by work, it's time to make sure my Loyalist Iron Warriors are ready to bare their colours with pride.

That means assembling the shell of two more MkIII Deimos Rhinos, and getting the last of the resin (three Deimos Rhino kits and 10 Lascannons) all scrubbed up and ready.

Rest of this week will involve the last of the build, and next week undercoating and basecoating (god bless spray cans and my spray booth, especially given typical British January weather).

That should leave me a clear 9 days off to get as much painted as I possibly can.

For perspective, my 3,000 points are currently....

2 x 20 strong Legion Tactical Squads
1 x 10 strong Legion Tactical Support squad with flamers
1 x 5 strong Legion Tactical Support squad with plasma

Deadline of 23rd June 2017 seems a long way off....but when you're out the house 14 hours a day, and your weekends are already pretty packed, it definitely pays to aim well ahead of schedule....

Am also tempted to order up two sets of FW transfers, make it all super spangly?

Making a Jagdpanzer III/ IV with the casement off of a StuG III mit 88 (though mounting a long 75mm) and front glacis stolen from a Jagdpanzer IV.

Because I couldn't make a normal tank for my Germans if I tried...

Putting stuff together for my DA Battle Company. Right now, it's the Assault Squads on foot that are coming together.

Purple-washing 4 fiends. Then I'll probably drybrush em. Then all detail work tomorrow. Before my 12 new fiends arrive on Thursday.

Textured the bases and primed a Terminator sergeant and five Eldar pirates...then primed them.

Then the post showed up with a Farseer and another Pirate...so I stripped them in the magnasonic and textured their bases - then primed them.

Then I painted that Terminator sergeant and dipped him.

Then for some reason I started to paint the pirates...and then the Farseer. I'm about 75% done on the pirates and may go try to finish them right after I type this. I also cleaned up my work desk and re-did the power management around the desk (and restocked the magnasonic with fresh Super Clean).

Also put in a couple of posts on the Oldhammer blog I've been working on.

If I get bored I may set up my new Phoenix Lord for painting too.

At the risk of repeating myself, getting the organisation of my Recon Hives sorted and posting the first draft - I have already started on it and have come up with names for the various types of Hellhounds and how they are used in my hive cities, so its looking a bit more promising. If I do get it done with plenty of time to spare, I'll work on the final Hive which has all fliers.

Finished up a White Seer and will probably prep some Space Marine metals.

It's taken me 2 evenings to do that. Albeit I do have this really annoying issue where my 2mm drillbit is just slightly slightly smaller than my 2mm magnets, so I need to end up widening the hole with a knife each time I drill something.

Will certainly be good to get this done as it will allow me to have 'completed' a section of this project and be able to move onto the next stage.

Getting my Heavy weapons ready for my SM.
had to do some sculpting and so forth and a little bit work.
Also gave a good ol' cleaning to my airbrush.
My friend gave me his to clean because the guy he bought it from didnt clean it right. I got it all clean but broke the chuck, but he got it for free. so he is cool.
Tommorow I put paint to minis.
Then is is onto my Tau Crisis suit weapons, then IG THEN unchrated territory with starting my Circle Orboros.

No idea what that resin is supposed to be, but shouldn't you unwarp it prior to drilling and magnets?

Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of different weapons options. That and I was trying to help avoid gaps on the top hull. - That wasn't very successful.

I'm hard at work on a hair metal themed war band I DONT CARE if it sucks harder than a broken vacuum cleaner, has confused colour schemes, shoe-horned in-jokes to stuff from the Reagan years and references to the 'Rock of ages' musical. Its my idea and I'm going to stick to it like zap-a-gap superglue.

Oh, and I also want to get started on creating data cards for each of my units. I'm thinking this is probably what I will end up doing as again it is a large stage in my project. I will probably interpose this with bits of fiction to post to my project log.

Sculpting the bale sword for my GUO made from a Glottkin has begun this morning. Glottkin should be arriving any time from USPS. The damn sword is 5" tall!! I do in fact have an actual Glottkin with riders to know what the dimensions were supposed to be.

Got to actually play some games this weekend.

Finished painting/dipping five metal Space Marine scouts and an old metal Chaplain. Painted 85% of the Apothecary but his jump pack needs re-spraying so I set him down till tomorrow.

Played abit with the 2 X-Wing core sets I got this Christmas and already impulse ordered an A, B, Z-95, TIE fighter and TIE Interceptor when I seen them cheap.

Also trying to get the white dots just right on my flicked paint X-Wing mat. Not enough medium dots for my liking. Going to try remedy this by going around the edge with a bit more paint on toothbrush this time.

Procrastinating on whether to add some foliage to some transitional winter/ spring camo. ...I just really want to add some to a Jagdpanzer, but it'd set it apart from every other vehicle in my force.

Staring at the models on my paint table and wondering when I'm going to get to them as I play Skyrim again.

I'm bad at staying motivated sometimes.

Finally got a spare 10mins to finish off posing my hybrid Dust Tactics / Imperial heavy trooper bannerman..... Base finished off also.. jst need to finish painting some details and then... the banner itself...

If something else doesn't crop up to take my money tomorrow, I may do a rather silly thing and buy two Maus tanks. ...I hate the look of that thing, but ...its a Maus. I already have a load of alt-history German tanks, so it'd just be wrong not to have one. ...I only suggest two though because I'm wondering how Warlord's new one compares against Blitzkrieg's (and well I don't want to cheat on Blitzkrieg for a younger model you see).

Meanwhile JTFM Enterprises have been being a pair of gits and hinting that they may have an E-100 planned. That tank being the *ahem* sexier...I mean a more streamlined version of the Maus which was just as far into production by the end of the war (though sadly didn't receive as much special treatment, despite the whole E-series' premise of being more practical versions of existing tanks > which to waffle a bit, had repercussions with today's universal battle tank designs).

Making something along the lines of this thing. The Soviets made use of truck bodies mounted on light tanks throughout WWII, up until the present actually. Maybe in an alternative history timeline the Germans may have done the same for out in the Eastern Front?

I bought me an IK Warden, yesterday.

This is my first dip into Mantic's world. Are all of their minis' parts grouped (in other words, these legs go with this torso, go with these arms, etc)?

I didn't realize this and clipped off 6 frames worth of their space elves and realized parts aren't interchangeable. So, that was a fun afternoon

Painted most of two Dwarf Trollslayers...got bored...stripped down five Terminators I received today from eBay and assembled/clipped/sanded them for priming. The night is young so I may do a bit more on...something.

registered my Norse team *Blood, Beer & Beyond* for int'l BB league run by GW

I just played in a tournament today (well, yesterday as it is after midnight as I write this). As usual, I won 1 game and lost the other two. I was running pure Daemonkin (CAD w/Khorne Knight and Gorepack). The first game was my only win, and it was against an Ultramarines list with two CADs and an Imperial Knight Crusader. I don't feel that I beat my opponent as much as his dice just didn't go his way. Second game was against that formation of Magnus and 3 DPs, along with a Daemons CAD with a Tzeentch Herald, 2 units of Blue Horrors, and a bunker. Let's just say that I found out that Magnus' reputation is well deserved, although I don't feel that he's completely OP. It was just a bad matchup for me, nothing more. Third game was against Eldar. List was a Warhost with Pale Court and Aspect Host as auxiliary (total 30 warp spiders ), a CAD, and a Dark Eldar Corpsethief Claw formation. I mostly got my army shot away before they could come to grips with the Eldar, although my Knight did manage to charge the Talos engines on the first turn and, over the next 3 turns, slowly grind them down. It was still pretty one-sided against me, though. My main takeaway is that pure KDK can't really compete with the top tier armies, although it is super fun to play. I really need to finish putting my Sorcerers together and try a Cabal-star list. Maybe that would do better.

Finally built GSC Goliath. Not a fan of the order in which you have to build its front section. Grrr.

Trying to get in a game or two at the FGS this afternoon.

Started to assemble a IK Warden magnetizing the weapons. Lot of work.

Test painting Thousand Sons rubrics model. Sadly left some crucial paints at home while away, so that's a hiccup. But test model, based on Dec WD paint splatter, going well. Had I known The Duncan method released in his video after I started painting this scheme I would have done that. Too late now. But turning out well.

Finished a Wave Serpent and now I'm working on a few Guardsmen.

Played my first (and likely last) game of 7th edition. Helped a buddy test his 1000 point list while we also introduced a newbie to 40k. Newbie wound up buying a starter Tau army after my buddy loaned him Tau for our coaching game.

7th just seems too Frankensteined to me.

I've got glue all over my hands aaaaauuugh

I put together a building with lots of little stick parts and it was a huge pain and glue... everywhere.

Inventorying my Enforcer army for Warpath/Firefight. I think I have about 4K in points at this point.
Missing 5 more striders and the 45 pathfinders and characters/captains.

Although I find myself needing ONE Enforcer dropship.

Played Mansions of Madness 2nd Ed. Tried to escape from Innsmouth. Got trampled to death by an angry mob whilst trapped at the end of a burning dock. It did not go well.

Putting together a revell Venator Star Destroyer. The model was easy to put together and the details are pretty decent. I can't wait to start painting this baby, though. The ships of the prequels were one of the few highlights and I think it's a shame that they aren't as appreciated. I'll probably go with a standard open circle fleet Venator. Maaaybe one in Imperial service if I'm feeling saucy.

Finished five more old metal terminators.

Details on a few Guardsmen to reflect some regimental reorganization (moving Lascannons out of Infantry Squads and into dedicated heavy weapons teams).

Spent the day playing Silver Tower with friends. Got 3 games in. Party was Skink Priest, Chaos Lord, Necromancer and Auric Runemaster. That changed to Slaughterpriest, Chaos Lord, Wight Lord and Skink Priest for the second and third games.

We did pretty well, without too many things getting the better of us. Actually got to use Exotic Monsters this time around as I built my Flamers and Screamers.

Quite a lot of fun.

Sadly for me. Thinking of picking up a paint brush but not doing it.

I've been making tons of armour for my alt-history Germans lately. As my infantry have lagged behind, and well also because it was cool the last time we did it years back, I'm set to play a World of Tanks style game with my stuff in a week.

Well, all those heavy tanks are all well and good, but tsk, they need some more teeth. So I picked up a 1/48th scale Jagdpanther and am currently in the process of turning it into a Super Heavy tank in 1/56 (I'm calling it the Jaguar, though its mostly just a smaller E-100). We'll just have to see if the Maus I ordered also turns up, but I already have loads of other junk to paint as it is.

Assembling three boxes of Reavers with their equipment loadouts such that they can be Corsairs, Reavers, Windriders, or a Seer Council as required.

Played a game of Advanced Song of Blades & Heroes yesterday. It's got promise but the magic in the game is far too fiddly for my taste. Also, some of the game's traits (even playing using example lists) are super-unbalanced.

Also played a homebrew Mad Max game my buddy sliced together from Axles & Alloys and an old Milton Bradley game called Thunder Road. He rolled crap for two turns and I rolled high one turn and all 6's the second, winning the game without a ton of thought. He is back to the drawing board on that.

My Reaper Master Series Paint Set from 2009 is still mostly good. A few of the browns and reds have dried out. Reaper covers just as well and is cheaper, too. However, there isn't a good conversion chart anywhere. The latest one i can find was updated in 2012, and GW has completely turned over their paint names since then.

Considering the deneb stone is solid enough to be confused or an actual stone, and the tallarn flesh is separated in to a pale color on two sides and a dark inky strip down the middle, I'm not sure it can be saved.

Here's the trick. stop doing that.
Dilute your paints in the pots to your standard consistency, use them from the flip-top after having shaken the bottle.

And if you really can't get used to that, just use a dropper.

Or, just transfer them to dropper bottles.

Built a UCM Madrid cruiser for my DFC fleet.

I primed the minis below, getting some backup ready for my TNT raider warband. Also bought a laminator and made a quick reference sheet and a warband roster.

I mostly finished the armour of some Deathwing terminators and I'm going to do the detail work soon. I've had this guys on the painting desk for a good while and I'm glad I'm finally getting them done.

To Heresy coverage then LVO Warhammer Live instead of Super Bowl painting more skitraii today, maybe some Thousand Sons mixed in.

Spent the afternoon at the Ready Stead Roll pop up boardgames cafe eating cake and playing Dragonwood, Elfland and, of course Portal (because if you are going to a pop-up all about boardgames and freshly made cake you should play a boardgame about cake). Never heard of the first two before, both good fun games.

Now I need to finish the highlighting on my last 5 Walking Dead survivors. If I can be bothered to get off this increasingly comfy sofa.

Waiting on the mud to try on three tanks. I want to take some pictures to stick up here, though have to stick with that stuff drying, then give it a highlight, followed by waiting again for the snow to dry on top of that.

Hmph.

Right. That's all the TWD expansion stuff I bought finished. Now back to the long, long list of The Others minis and not trying to speed-paint everything.

I don't at the moment, but I might be able to snag my second today. And I'll post a pic of the two of them next to each other. Also, height wise...the model is barely shorter overall than a bloodthirster. But the body itself is quite a bit bigger. The bloodthirster's wings go up, while the LoC's don't go up as much. It's definitely a bigger model, volume wise. Still doesn't match the Glottkin for volume though.

Finished my Avatar last night - felt some inspiration to get him finished. Down to two Farseers, a Wave Serpent and a Falcon to finish my Eldar. I'll be trying to get the Wave Serpent done during the evenings this week and the Farseers over the weekend.

Finally was able to clean my air gun. Still not working properly, but was able to prime my Lord of Change and paint him blue.

Now thinking if I should use the blue shade before trying to lighten him up now. Back to Duncan's video and see what he did.

Wrapping up my D&D Campaign. I need to get 3 Fire Giants painted for the grand finally, as of now I am 1.5 Giants in!

Then I have to get more Ogres ready as there is a AoS tournament in 2 month that I want to get in on. I plan on bringing Gutbusters so I need to get in gear and not only Buy the minis needed but get them painted ASAP.

Daemons, Daemons and, well, Daemons...

Decided to sit down and just hobby today...not much of that going on lately...and I put together 20 Plaguebearers, 10 Brimstone Horrors, 10 Blue Horrors, 5 Seekers of Slaanesh. I had enough time leftover to take a break from the minions of the warp and start a Mortarch...I went with Mannfred Von Cartstein. I managed to get most of the construct's body together and stopped when I couldn't come up with a satisfactory way of how I'd like to base it. Time to ponder.

Staring wistfully at stacks and subassemblies of numerous models, wishing for the time to paint them.

Retroactively turning a Sd.Kfz 234 into something resembling a Sd.Kfz 247 for my alt-history German stuff. The 234's an 8x Recce vehicle, the 247's a 4x4 ...i.e. lots of cutting and gap filling required.

Painting cultists, 10 to go.

I made 2 bomb squigs using the squig hounds form the gretchin set and the backpacks with bombs from the nobz/boyz kits, very easy conversion.

Then I built 6 snazzgunz using nobz kombi weapons converted with parts of sluggas, shootas and big shootas. Ready to make my own flash gitz using nobz bodies.

Picked up burning of prospero set. Since FW is sluggish with my order(week and still not posted) and finnish store had box cheap(95e including postage. List price is 125e) got this to kickstart sons of horus.

Next up assemble at least 10 veterans(remaining 20 I'm pondering do I make two squads of support for which I need weapons or one and another veteran squad) and termies.

Hopefully can get assembled and primed during weekend. Then start painting next week. And MAYBE that damn FW order would come one of these days...

Stripping some minis for repainting. I love the paint scheme they have but it's going to go for something a bit easier for me to paint. Time is of the essence. Also try to finish off my Black Legion terminators I need for my game on the 25th Feb. Then I need to glue and paint up 3 Obliterator arms (ugh fiddly), A whole Obliterator and about 7 Death Guard back packs. I hate painting back packs.

When I'm not, I'm cursing the day I thought plasticard scale armour was a good idea. Looks like a chunky ghillie suit and doesn't sand down well. Ended up that I'll have to sculpt most of it anyway, which is a job I hoped to avoid in the first place.

Just beeen out for a few lagers with visiting dad-in-law so I'm keeping it simple and just drybrushing up some bases for the GSC hybrid unit I've got on the go. Hoping to polish the lot off over the weekend, but I'm defo not firing on enough cylinders right now to do anythign more complex than bases.

Started work on assembling some Wraithguard - hopefully the weather will be nice enough tomorrow to spray.

Still painting AoBR Orks, the definition is not a strong as the multi-part Orks so they take longer.

Enforcer jetbikes are getting painted. I have 4 out of 12 finished. Hoping to get at least 6 finished, and hopefully all 12 by Sunday night.

Got first sons of horus models assembled as far as i can untill i get fw parts i need(veteran marines) or magnets(termi squad heavy weapon that i plan to magnetize). Also undercoated. Think drying takes more than 2h so can't start painting yet today though.

Also fw shipped order. Eta on thursday. Enough there for 2k list plus spare. Next order will get bop box set working plus some armured support i think

Success!! I've got 6 finished jetbikes and a 7th that is 90% done!! 5 left in total.

Doing a second thermal "breacher and eradicator" squad. Unit is based, washed, and dry brushed silver. Needs the black and gold still, then done!

Purchased Dynamo for my Cygnar.

Ordered some cruisers for my DFC UCM fleet and some infantry and artillery for my DZC UCM.

Also played a 750 pt DFC game.

Built 10 liberators for my Sigmarine army. Man, for mono-pose-ish miniatures, their shield arms are a real annoyance.

Painting Faith agents for The Others. Which I really have left too late.

I managed to pick up a Tiger tank on the cheap, but didn't have a clue what to do with it for my alternative history WWII stuff. ...So I went for the default > give it sloped armour. The Germans never did give the Tiger I sloped armour, instead of leaving that to the Tiger II (which was a major rework of the design). I guess I'll call this the Tiger I.5 or something and use it as a command vehicle (well, besides the Super Heavies) like the Germans really did with the Porsche Prototype Tiger.

I just played in a 40k tournament today. I won 1 and lost 2 games, as usual. The two that I lost were because I made some serious rookie mistakes. It was my first time running a deathstar list, though, so maybe I just need to get some practice with it. The deathstar in question was a unit of KDK Flesh Hounds with a Juggerlord and a Cyclopia Cabal attached.

My friend, who was the TO for today's tournament, was cleaning his house of old gaming stuff and just gave me a boardgame as well as a starter force box of Hordes. Now I have to decide whether I want to get into WarmaHordes or not. I may just enjoy painting up the miniatures and not get any more, as I really don't need another miniatures game. 40k is expensive enough!

Finished off two more Mil-24D for Team Yankee, assembled three exhaulted sorcerers and sprayed the base gold on, ditto some chosen and the lord from Dark Vengence.

Working on a 2nd mordheim building, and perhaps putting some paint to the remaining figures for an Undead warband.

Still painting AoBR Orks, they do take longer to paint. Just managed to finish 5 over the last few days.

Sending much complaints to GW. Stupid spray refuses to work, so instead of painting Sons (this is the most recent attempt to remedy my spray problems)

Im stuck painting Custodes. I finished one (including base) in about 3 hours last night and it came out quite well. I am now wondering if i want to scrap my Sons (Im kidding, or at least I hope I am...) and run Talons of the Emperor...

Played in a 4-player game of age of smegma. Turns out that if victory points are awarded based on who has the most models closest to an objective point and someone rocks up with 145 goblins the game result isn't really in doubt at any point. Also, the competition between my treelord and the empire cannon over who could be the most useless shot ended in a draw when neither of us hit a damn thing for the entire game. Ahh, dice. Tiny cubes of misery.

Finished the first Faith strike team. Tomorrow I will try to murder them all with the forces of Greed.

Yesterday got first step for sons of horus done(2 layers of kabalite green). Today planning to wash recesses and highlight as a minimum. Let's see if I still have time left. Working on the 6 veteran tacticals and 5 tartarus terminators.

Got called into work. Depending when I can escape, I need to prepare for my D&D game tonight and hopefully do a bit more work on some Wraith Guard and a Falcon. (Down to my last 6 Eldar models!)

Finished 5 assault Enforcers and 5 Enforcer defenders. Half finished on another squad of 5 assault Enforcers.

With armour and eyes(plus face of sergeants) for sons of horus models done moving on to metals next. Also might assemble some more MK3 marines now that I ordered missing pieces to order them.

Also decided to assemble models fully only after they are painted. Some parts are annoying to reach when fully assembled. So legs+torso are safe to glue, also backbag for non-heavy support ones. But head+arms I paint separated.

Still painting AoBR Orks, now completed the base coat and starting on detailing.

Someone stuck up rare Warmaster phoenix guard units on ebay. Four of them. The auctions ended today, and I managed to dodge the snipers to bag one. As many as I could've hoped for. Nice...

Otherwise, peering at the rain instead of getting on with outdoor-based hobby tasks, and still struggling with scale armour.

I tried my airbrush for the first time today. Used the vallejo US Drab box set on some 15mm Shermans. Didn't go well, I didn't manage to get enough control over the flow to get anything out of using 5 colours. It all looks like the last colour used. No idea how I'll manage to paint camo schemes with it.

I don't know what air pressure you are running at but it is probably too high as that is very common when you start out. The best advice I was ever given from an expert airbrusher was to cut the air pressure (which also means you can get much closer for finer work like camo without high pressure air streaking wet paint everywhere). I hardly ever turn mine up above 10psi now.

Thanks, I'll try turning it down. I had it around a lot higher.
