Set contains all parts need to build Hornet Jetfighter. Model is designed to fit 28mm tabletop wargames scale (model length from front to tail is 115mm, and wingspan of about 120mm) also it is compatible with aircraft bases and all vehicle weapons available on webstore. Supplied unassembled and unpainted. Designed and sculpted by Puppetswar Art team
I'd like to see it next to a model. 120mm is 4 3/4 inches which is pretty tiny.
Will those heads fit Space Marines? I understand the last set of Iron Mutant heads were Guardsman sized.
so...... I'll try again. Will these fit "heroic space knight warrior" scaled miniatures? I understand the last set of Iron Mutant heads were "heroic scale regular soldier" sized.
Azazelx wrote: so...... I'll try again. Will these fit "heroic space knight warrior" scaled miniatures? I understand the last set of Iron Mutant heads were "heroic scale regular soldier" sized.
The only pics I've found of these heads on bodies are on a blog here on Dakka: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/522502.page. The heads look a tad large on these bodies, but a) these are Mantic dudes, not a GWGEQ per se; and b) the posting is almost three years old, and you reference there having been a previous Iron Mutant set?
But taking these pics in a vacuum, I'd say they'd work for spase marians.
I don't think that's a new set.
It's the same Iron mutant heads that've been valible for a long time. Puppetswar just likes to post stuff in their thread now and then to keep it relevant I think.

KK - That is roughly Land Speeder sized. 1:43 Diecast cars are typically about 5" if that gives you a good frame of reference.

I don't have those heads, but I do have a few various 'head' from them along with shoulder pads. I think I still have some marines on a sprue so I can take some pictures to compare. It'll probably take me a couple days to get time to do that.

The problem is, PW makes (at least) 2 sizes. I ordered the not-Necron heads and they were super tiny. Nowhere near even a regular human head I'd say.
Yeah, they have two general sizes of heads. I know the original run were smaller than expected, so I'm wondering if we can get an answer for these, given that they're sold alongside shoulder pads. Rather than just posting chibi vehicles.
Wow, those are gigantic.. holy moly... Do those arms work on your bulkier figures? On those guys they look too big IMO but on Termos bodies they might be more to my taste.
@Barzam, send me a message at @communitypuppetswar@gmail.com about this please.
Recently released weapon cores with double grip fit both our style of armour.
And small update about photo of different heads showing relative sizes - it is being prepared. Thanks for suggestion.
Today I'd like to remind our popular model from last year, it was released about 10 months ago:
I am looking at buying some of your vampire heads. Any chance we could get a set of them in helmets (Fantasy style). I'm looking at using them on a bunch of guys but would like the helmets for the more heavily armored troops.
Just in the off chance you guys at puppets war have tried this at all, but how 'wide' are those double grip arms? Could they reasonably fit on ye' average guardsmen's torso? How about a grot?
@MLaw - I will pass this idea to the design guy, it might be done. I can't say for sure but it will be passed to them
@morganfreeman - sorry but I simply don't know. Those arms certainly fit our torsos though.
And today's release is long awaited EPIC WING-PACK finally available.
It may be mounted on Prime BattleWalker and with wingspan of 150mm it will certainly bring fear into heart of the enemy.

They're not badly priced at all. I plan on getting 2. One for my Battle Walker and another that I intend to use to convert a helicopter to a more futuristic vehicle. Which one.. I couldn't tell you.. I have a few. Experiments will be done, models will be converted, science!
I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I just found the Puppets War http://puppetswar.eu/product.php?id_product=444 and they are the closest thing I've seen so far to the look I'm after for a conversion project (looking for something along the lines of the ODST from Halo). Does anyone know how the Puppets War heads would fit on the bodies of Mantic's plastic Enforcers?
How about some nice wings? Something like the Dark Eldar Scourges wings, only a bit more tattered and rotted looking would be best. For reasons. Totally bot because I wantthemfor a conversion

so you're telling me I need to get my wife to register an account?
Yeah, I am a big fan of International Women's Day in particular, and of feminism in general, but if anything, feminists would argue that women-only discounts are sexist, discriminatory, and a product of the patriarchy.

Someone needs to do a man-only discount, grab some popcorn and enjoy the rage.

This.

Seriously. Let me know if I need my partner to place this $300 order, PW. As awesome as that will be for me
Guys, as I'm unable to get precise answer right now (middle of the night here in Poland now), I ASSUME that to qualify for the discount order must be placed from the account with a woman's name in it. I'm not 100% positively sure that this works like that but I THINK it is a case.
And to everyone thinking it was sexist - we are all ladies deep down our hearts, aren't we?
To continue this theme:
It seems that prettier part of the mankind is not represented in wargames as much, as it should be. We've taken first steps to remedy this.
I'll be sure to place a big order with you once you have a 15% discount I can use too... otherwise I'm gonna assume that you're sexists and avoid you. Hope that's OK!
Edited to add: in fact, so far as I can see, gendered pricing like this is illegal under EU equality law (specifically Directive 2004/113). So, I'm unwilling to do business any longer with a company that I regard as both unethical, and breaking the law.
skarsol wrote: I'm not sure I'd be able to pick 4 of those out as female if presented in a lineup.
I think they're quite clearly female.
They may look a bit chunky from one of the angles or the other I guess, but I think that's due to the 'heroic' scale.
Yeah, I can see the female influence as well. I like them personally. It's a bit of a bummer that they're so different stylistically but I think they look good

Calm down Francis.
Yeah, agreed. Calling a company unethical seems a bit of an overreaction to a well intentioned but clumsily applied promotion.
Perhaps next March 8th PW can discount orders that contain female models, or just discount their female models during the promotion. There is a lot that can be done to acknowledge International Women's Day without ruffling feathers.
Just in time for Easter!
Can not wait to see someone paint them as Easter eggs!
Nice idea. Must think it over

New release - Double Grip Sniper Rifle
http://puppetswar.com/product.php?id_product=578 Set contains five weapons with arms, designed for use with 28 mm "heroic" scale miniatures.
Something different today. A preview of a new terrain piece inspired by famous Children's Khorovod fountain from Stalingrad, better known as Barmaley Fountain. We will make other terrain models inspired by historical originals. Would You like us to do something specific? Please comment, we are very interested in your opinions and suggestions.

The fountain's great, but needs variants to potentially replace the frogs around the edge, and the dancing figures in the middle, either with other figures or abstract architectural shapes.
for the centre:
- an ornate plinth with water spouts and a blank top, ready for customers to add their own figure as a statue
- dancing skeletons (mimicking the poses of the original children)
for the edges:
- gargoyles
- eagles
- other heraldic animals like dragons, lions - or just their heads
Fleur-de-lys
All should be poseable facing in or out
One more picture of upcoming fountain from Stalingrad, different angle this time, with our 28mm heroic scale miniature next to it for measuring scale.
It will be available next Tuesday.
How about something from Pripyat/Chernobyl? Rusted, broken down, decaying. It would get a ton of use in a bunch of applications.
It's just that there are so many different things I could recommend from that place that it's hard to come up with something definitive to represent it. The most iconic would be the Ferris Wheel, but that's way too big to be worthwhile. Something else perhaps?
Part of the amusement park which was opened one day before the reactor blew and never used, along with the Ferris Wheel. It was going to be part of the massive May Day celebration, but circumstances changed all of that.
On which note I really need to work on some Soviet architecture for my own S.T.A.L.K.E.R. / Modern Ukrainian stuff. Too many busted up Dachas. :(
On topic, for practical use, if we're going for real life architecture, perhaps something more generic would suit? That particular fountain from Volgograd presumably would do for whatever setting, but some people may get hung up on its providence. In saying that, I would have real use for stuff like this:
And saying that, its so bad trying to find a 28mm scaled statue of any of the Soviet leaders that I wound up sculpting my own. Even little statuettes of them are a pain to find, at least inexpensive ones. However in generic terms scale men in suits would do for that type of thing, I'm only getting hung up as I'm looking for specific faces.
Yeah, I very much want to make my own version of the Pripyat sign. As they used that very large block font, it shouldn't be too hard to do using a scroll saw.
And yes to 28mm scaled Soviet leaders, or at least something similar to that. Finding them at a reasonable price is a complete pain in the butt.
But if Puppetswar wanted to make some S.T.A.L.K.E.R. inspired terrain, I would be all about that. Have been wanting to make as much for a Stalker inspired Infinity board.

Also known as Children's Khorovod, this is iconic fountain from Stalingrad. Our model has height of 65mm and diameter of 175 mm, children have 28mm of height.
Both sets contains 5 parts designed to fit 28mm 'heroic' scale.
You can also see example of this weapon being held by our miniature. Please not that his weapon is not available yet

The pokey scytal arms? I can try to snap some scale pics for you at some point, though not sure I have any little Nids around ...

Yes, some scale shots would be much appreciated. Even if you just present it with measurements and next to a figure on 25mm base it would help so much. Thank you!

Sorry about the wait, I actually took these shots the next day but dragged my feet uploading
If you're looking for bits for Nids, it's worth noting that the Cyber Invaders and Insectoid Swarm lines are extremely similar, with one being robotic and one being gribbly alien versions of mostly the same designs. My Cyber Arthropods, for example, are very reminiscent of their cousins the Insectopods. The downside of all this? While the Swarm bits probably fit your Nids better stylistically, they also aren't available separately, unlike all the Invader bits. Dunno if PW will be fixing this in the future, perhaps when the line is revisited for whatever large scale scheme they've got in the works

My hero! Thank you, this is great! I am aware of the insectopod variant; I was specifically wondering about the cyber claws as I want to create a refurbished tyranid force mind-controlled by a rogue Tau Commander.
We would like to share with You our recent find. Photos of historical miniatures of German paratroopers in Cathedral ruins, somewhere in Italy during WW2.

My only comment would be that those ork heads are each so distinct, it'd look really bizarre to kit out a large amount of models with them.
They'd look fine smattered into an ork force where most of the heads are Kromlech or Spellcrow - who have some very good options which look great whilst filling that "generic mook" requirement.
I think the issue is that, while they each look good, they each look very distinct. So in a large army you'd rapidly notice how many of them are the exact same and it'd be jarring. Granted I only notice this because I'm a maniac who's prepping 200+ ork boyz with kromlech and spellcrow heads, so it jumps out at me.

I would buy that set literally just for the middle top head to make a Blood Axe Warboss called Kolonel Klunk

1-3 of May are kind of holidays in Poland. 1st of May is International Worker's Day, kind of leftover from previous 1945-1989 regime (and it is celebrated now as it should be, as non-communist day). Today is our National Flag Day... (and 3rd is National Holiday, to commemorate first European constitution - Polish one).
But as it is National Flag day... this one seems appropriate.

Oooh, those are nice. I appreciate that the hoods sit differently on each of the heads. It's also nice that these could double as alternate heads for fantasy miniatures!
I was already a fan on the Crusade heads as they arehands down the best sci-fi knight helmets I've found, so these only further my love for them! Keep up the good work!
Fly, on your way, like an eagle,
Fly as high as the sun,
On your way, like an eagle,

Those are adorable.
I'm not sure what I would use them for.. but I think I need them anyways..
Would be perfect with some more satyr heads.
Though satyr heads for anything are good..

While the crusader style isn't something I would go for, it would make sense to have it for people wanting to run one with their armies of your crusader style figures.
A few things I would personally like..
Weapon Arm Replacements - These are weapon systems that replace the arms like Mechwarrior type stuff. Systems that replace the entire arm, like a rather large missile box or cluster of hardpoints for weapons OR lower arm mounted weapons that replace the forearm/hand setup with just a weapon system (like a long rail rifle or similar).
Armor upgrades - While I like my Prime walker, I kind of want another that is more heavily armored. It wouldn't have to be a whole new kit so much as an extra armor style kit that adds extra plating to bulk out some of the areas that look a bit thin.
Cockpit options - The main thing I'm thinking would fit into the existing slot on the torso but hang over to create a lower cockpit more central to the chest with something similar to the front end of The Brick APC. This would mean people could field 2 primes but they would look entirely different just from swapping out a head piece.
Leg Jump Jets - I love the jump pack. The design is spot on but maybe consider a jump assist accessory that fits over part of the lower or middle leg section.
More weapons options to swap for the hands - I would love the option to mount 3 machineguns or flame throwers or other energy weapons in the hand socket or potentially a hand held rocket launcher or similar.
EDIT: Oh.. A nightmare style Prime Walker would be amazing. I forgot to mention that
While I think that design looks really cool, I'd say that you probably have shouldn't unless the crusaders are the number one selling variant in your line up (next to the "stock" version of the infantry). The weapon options would be good as would maybe a smaller conversion kit with variant head and some cloth bits (or fur for the valhalla strykers) if sales justify it.
I really want to buy your smaller Enforcer Battlewalker, but am slightly put off by the fact that I would have to buy the basic kit, then the additional weapon options I want (which must be bought in pairs as far as I can see), leaving me paying for several useless parts as I don't want to magnetize. Any chance of selling the original kit with different weapon options - i.e. any combination of two weapon options, or paying a bit more for any combination of 3/4 etc.?
ps - really love your models and enjoy following all your new releases - keep up the good work!

If you're talking about the Enforcer Walker, it's a good kit. Magnetizing it is super easy too, though I know you said you're not looking for that. The holes are already there and there are pegs already there to support the weapons so they don't just flop over. Either way best of luck.

Yeah that's the one. Will probably buy it either way as it's an awesome model and pretty close to my ideal walker. I wanna put a little squat pilot in it
But my modelling budget isn't huge and I'm kind of a casual newbie, so those extra weapons would be wasted on me.

If it makes any difference, the other weapons can be used on many of their other kits if you end up getting them later. They designed a lot of their range with modularity in mind.
A Nightmare Prima Battlewalker might be fun, although then I'd have to wonder what I'm doing with my plain one, Upgrade kits might be the way to go with that one
a multibarrel arm weapon that has mounting points for your existing range of weapon cores/weapon tips perhaps? (they come in packs of 5, so maybe a 5-headed mounting for them?
Head options would be cool, at the moment my Prime has a GW defiler head
A back-mounted weapon system that covers both mounting points at once, like the epic jetpack does now - take off the wings, replace the turbines with something else and have a mounting for your own weapons mounts or something like your Rocket Mortar
The Prime is a great kit and you can definitely hang some more releases and accessories off of it
Excellent ideas here, few of them are being visualised in my mind right now Keep them coming please, all of them will be passed on the design team.
And meanwhile - New release for today - single Fire Demon.
http://puppetswar.com/product.php?id_product=599 We've been frequently asked to make Fire Demon miniature available singly - so here it is.
Frozen Ocean wrote: Upgrade parts are probably the way to go - bits that fit onto the existing model. That said, I would prefer if the Prime had bulkier legs.
I would definitely buy a new set of legs for mine if that were made! The legs were the only part I was disappointed with, just too thin =(
Hope you can update them / make a bulkier variant, and it will get another order from me
Guys, if you like any of the suggestions I made you might want to second them so PW knows whether or not they're popular. I'm thinking along the lines of Mechwarrior or Armored Core type stuff.. so if that's your thing let them know!
I really love the Armored Core style (prior to NEXTs), but I don't think it quite suits the existing battlewalkers. More mechs would be totally welcome, though.
That said, one thing I'd like to see from PW is a missile launcher that looks more fearsome than the round barrel-style ones they currently have.
Frozen Ocean wrote: I really love the Armored Core style (prior to NEXTs), but I don't think it quite suits the existing battlewalkers. More mechs would be totally welcome, though.

I agree... I asked about a box style launcher a while back and they said they were looking at the idea but I dunno if that's ever going to be a thing.
EDIT: About the Mechwarrior/Armored Core thing.. I kinda meant more the customization than the actual look. Altering the existing model through kits to offer variations of arms and leg or to modify the existing ones to imply different functionality or levels of armor etc. I do think the Prime walker is kinda close to the current look of Mechwarrior Online but that's more a happy accident I think.
I saw you post about having a more heavily armored version MLaw, and both Frozen Ocean and I talked about more heavily armored (bulkier) legs. I don't mind if it's a replacement set, personally - although it'd be sweet to have just the legs for sale for folks who might want to upgrade!
But yeah, heavier armored / bulkier legs would be incredible

Yeah, I think the legs are one place where a few variations could lead to a lot of different looking kits. Through modifying the exisiting ones by adding plating, replacing sections of the leg, or adding entirely new legs.

That could be resolved by stick on armor plates and different feet

I like how you post reminders about stuff in your back catalogue. A great way to make people explore your range and also interesting to see what you have.
The big momma gun makes for the heart of a really rather nice looking Typhon. It's just a wee bit too large to go on the chassis of anything smaller, which is a bit of a shame as I think the Ursus has great potential as a basis for a wide array of more conventional artillery platforms
SickSix wrote: Nice conversion. Tracks a bit too wide for me. It looks really good on a normal LR chassis.
Your take on the idea is gorgeous and was a big inspiration for me to do a more basic version of the conversion. I just found the cannon to be a little bit too wide in proportion to a stock Landraider build so was looking to broaden the centre with plasticard and widen the tracks out to get it more balanced proportionately. I was originally planning on using some of the Blood and Skulls Industries Liberator pattern tracks to given it a heresy feel/widen it to baneblade track width but they got lost in airport customs :( Had to settle with 1/16 scale R/C tank tracks instead which are probably a little bit bigger than what I was aiming for!

Are you going to make more gasmask/rebreathers heads? I saw an ace version of the Nurgle lord with a "toxic guardsmen" head, but those are not sold anymore. I guess they were not up to your standards anymore as an overall package, but more baldies with googles and double filter masks would be nice.
(Yes I'm always asking and never get around to buy anything, but I'll really have to buy some Bharghasts this summer)
@Binabik15 - not in the near future I'm afraid. We are working on big release and we want to fully support it with new releases and - especially - filling some gaps in our existing lines.
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen
May I present You newest addition to the catalogue of wonders from the steam-driven factory of magnificent Puppets War company - Steam Club Heads.

Mmmm that is pretty damned nice. I think once I find out how much I am spending on health insurance this year those ladies will be first on the to buy list!
Those sorceresses look great, but I'd live to know exactly how tall they are. The website just says heroic 28 mm and no taller than 35 mm, a bit too vague.
This one stands straight. How tall is she exactly from the bottom of her soles to the top of her head?
Today we have another new release - Tormentors Bodies. This is a set of five Tromentor bodies, which may be used for all kinds of interesting conversions.
Photos show some possible uses of Tormentor Bodies combined with our other products. As you can see, these new bodies may by used for many settings.
